Their customer service is great,once you can get help, but you can't trust them when it comes to fine print. I am financing a product from them, when I asked if I can pay more to pay it off sooner I was informed I'm not allowed. Then when a bill comes and the info on my credit card changed they charged me an additional $35. They are out to find ways that force you to pay more money for services you shouldn't have to. So nothing against the staff, they are all very pleasant but be careful when trusting a company that is directly interested in taking advantage of you.

Very nice techs, honest service. I took my MBA in with a known issue, which they agreed was the problem, and helped me resolve it (in my case, choosing not to have it repaired since it's an old computer). Everyone was really friendly and I would have trusted them to do repairs if needed.

I'd been putting off a computer upgrade for a while now because, as many of us know, it's parallel to going to a dentist or mechanic. Nobody wants to know the trouble, and moreso, the cost. Intentional ignorance is cheaper in the short term. Aaron at Simply Computing was an all-star. Not only was he completely honest about my situation, but went above and beyond to make sure I was informed with my purchases and instructing me on how to install RAM & replace a defunct harddrive, which I did sitting beside him. I never once felt unclear or like I was being taken advantage of. I've now got a system that will hold up to the strains of video editing and I couldn't be more thankful for my experience today. DO NOT take your mac notebook for any apple care+ / warranty repairs here! They do not advocate for you. I bought a new mac book a couple of months ago and the screen started to go funny and then then a week later it just stopped working. I've kept it in excellent condition and bought a protector for it and a case to make sure it stays in great condition. In the end they said Mac charged me $129 plus tax to get an apple care+ / warranty for a 2 month old computer that need to be repaired because it was just a bad computer with a faulty logic board and screen.

I cracked the screen on my iphone XR. I went online on Apple repair and saw an appointment at a convenient time at Simply Computing in Vancouver. I live in North Vancouver but the day and time at Simply suited me best so I made an online appointment. It was my oversight not to call to determine if they had a screen in stock. I arrived at my appointment time on Monday and they advised that they would have to order the part and that I could come in the following day for it to be repaired and that it would take 4 hours. I was not happy with this but perhaps I should have checked first. Unfortunately I was leaving town the next day for a few days so asked if I could arrange for the fix on Friday. They said ok and, of course, took my $350. I kept my phone. So just as I am about to jump in my car to drive out there on Friday, I get a call that the part didn’t come in?!?! then they tell me that they didn’t order it until Thursday,…some weird story about not being allowed to hold onto stock as per Apple rules. And then they have the nerve to suggest that I come out there for them to process the refund?!?! Are you kidding me! I spoke to Asst manager and they arranged refund over the phone but the whole exercise was a joke and extremely frustrating and disappointing. There are many authorized Apple dealers –next time I will check the reviews before booking. I do not recommend Simply Computing. As an add on, after the call from Simply I went down to the Apple store at Pacific Centre with NO appointment and was able to get my screen replaced with no appointment and for $50 less than Simply had charged me. AND, I didn't have to pay until I picked up the repaired phone. Need I say more......

The staff at Simply Computing are expert and very helpful. This week I bought a new iPhone, and got very good advice and service. They weren't pushy, just informative. Later, at home, I messed up the 'pairing' of my new Phone with my Apple Watch, so I went back and they fixed that for me, quickly and with a smile. For decades I've bought most of my hardware there, and think Simply Computing is an excellent business.

They seem to like making you wait. I went in, took a number, because I want to follow the rules and 4 staffs were on duty, serving 2 customers. When one of the staff finished serving the customer in front of me, she didn't even realize there was a "number" system, until I reminded her... Okay fine, but I could really been spoken to withOUT the condescending attitude. I learned from my experience there that the staff felt like they were having their teeth pulled out to help any customer who wasn't BUYING something from them (Don't get me wrong, I am NOT expecting to have my butt kissed at all, just a little friendly attitude, that's all). Wasted 20 minutes there, mostly waiting and being ignored. Glad they refused help fix my MacBook Air, as I will gladly take my business elsewhere. I hope no future customers will have any similar experience as I did.

Nice staff, but extremely over priced products. They sell products in here that you could buy elsewhere for a tenth of the price on amazon. I recommend their service and customer service. But i cannot endorse paying what they charge for items that cost 2$ to make. Like cables.

Went to Simply Computing to discuss upgrading or replacing my MacBook after going to the Apple Store downtown. Simply Computing was fabulous. Without the crowds from the downtown store, I felt like I had lots more time to discuss my options and more time to get all the explanations clearly. And all the prices were the same. That will be my first choice from now on. Also, free parking behind the store. Bonus! PS: Went on a Saturday at 5 PM. It was nice and quiet.

Complete waste of my time. I called and told them the issue, made an appointment with them, only to come in and be told that the Apple technician wasn't in today. Additionally, they don't seem to honor appointments as I had to wait 15 minutes, and they didn't even seem to be expecting any appointment. They also told me that if I came back tomorrow when the technician was back, they would need to take my laptop for a few days, but if I went to apple it would take only an hour. Don't waste your time, just go to Apple

Simply Computing is a great place to buy and get Apple products serviced. Recently my iMac was very slow. I brought it to inquire. After a brief diagnosis, I was explained what my options were. The person always made sure their technicians on the back agree with what was possible. We agreed on a solution and it worked perfectly. What I like is this feeling of being explained thoroughly and honestly before taking the decision and then they deliver. Any time I have a question they're the ones I'm asking. Super friendly and professional staff.

Your technician added an SSD drive and data doubler so that my wife’s 2009 iMac now performs much better. I had recently purchased a new Mac Mini 2018 from Simply Computing and am very pleased with that, so I had to do something to improve her Mac experience. Sales (Seabass) & Service (Robert & Justin) were all handled quickly, very knowledgeably and effectively. (Justin even called me the same evening to say the iMac was ready for pickup the next morning). Your Vancouver store is so much more pleasant than dealing with the unending hustle & bustle of the Apple Store downtown. I’ll be back for more.

I've been here twice for service on my Mac computers over the last decade. Both times, the service has been excellent and my computer issues were fully resolved. Service staff are friendly and explained things quite clearly. My most recent service was done in less than 24 hours, and I was really happy about that. I only have two minor suggestions: I wish they had reminded me to do a backup of my files before coming in, as that would have saved me an additional fee. I also wish they had called me when the work was done, instead of me having to call in and check. Regardless, I'm a fan of Simply Computing's service and will go back in the future.

Roy was very helpful. I have an older MacBook Pro from 2012. Rather than sell me something new or even charge me the diagnostic fee, he said I could back up and put a new OS on a new hard drive to fix an intermittent software issue. Dan told me I could upgrade the components in my computer, including upgrading to a SSD internal hard drive to make my computer run the latest Catalina OS faster. I had SimplyGuard and they swapped out the logic board, RAM (they helped me upgrade when I bought it), graphics card and display to fix an intermittent display issue, all included under the extended warranty. Simply Guard 4 year extended warranty even includes accidental damage, even liquid damage. Brett spent a lot of time helping relay the issue to their technical team who worked on the hardware and swapped out components. Simply Computing has friendly staff and very competent technicians (David). I am very pleased with their service and have purchased again and again. Their financing makes buying premium tech affordable even for an average person like me. They aren't out to get your money and don't operate on commission. They make sure you are satisfied. This is why I'm a loyal customer.

Brought in my MacBook for a scheduled service appointment. Advised the associate that Apple has a keyboard replacement program for these models of MacBooks and yet they insisted that they had to charge me a diagnostic fee that may be refundable. They advertise themselves as Apple experts however my experience with them has been very disappointing and far inferior than that at the Apple Store.

Worse technitians ever, their luck of urgency when it comes to dealing with real computer problems makes them the worse place to go to IF you are really in a emergency, brought couple of computer with water damaged, which needed to be looked at urgently , the answers was, they couldn't as the had 10 day wait!! not only that, only 4 days after I had drop them, they call me to tell tell me I could off have paid for a rush feed. they were not able to fix them as they simply took too long to get to them, no sense of urgency and respect of a loyal client, I will make sure to give them more bad review every where I can, as it was a major lost of my laptops, all they had to do is to properly store them in a dry place so at least by the time they got to them the damage was worse due to the water damage, they just didn't care and their policy make no sense. Dont go there to get things repair or buy anything there.

Possibly the most passive aggressive phone system in history. First of all, it rarely puts you through to a representative, informing you they are all busy. It prompts you to leave a voice mail that almost certainly wont get answered. Worse still, it does not inform you if the store is closed. On Easter weekend, they were closed, as expected, on Friday and Monday. However, Saturday is a grey area. They may take 4 days off, they might not. They (as usual) don't answer the phone, and the voicemail greeting does not indicate their hours. So one is forced to drive all the way there to possibly meet a locked door. They have my computer ready for pick up but I don't know if they are open and can't find out. They are also at times, depending on the sales rep, insanely rude. The whole operation feels like a bit of a grift, and I don't get a good feeling from being a customer there. Not going to give them my business again.

I went to Simply Computing because they had an open appointment sooner than the Apple store. Needless to say, I wasn't expecting much. The experience was so good, they now have a customer for life! The service was authentic and caring with no BS. Michael H, my technician, got my computer back to me within 2 hours...I was expecting 5 DAYS minimum!! That saved me hundreds of dollars of lost work. But it gets better. The diagnostic showed a keyboard issue, so not only did I get it back in two hours, they got Apple to pay for it, so the refunded ALL my money. This kind of thing never happens to me. Now I'm nervous I used all of my Karma in one shot. I don't think I'll leave the house for a while. Of course, it's the pandemic, so that won't be hard. Writing this from my revived MacBook Pro with a crystal clear new screen. I'm very thankful for the fine people at this store. They were friendly and approachable, and trustworthy from start to finish. I was expecting the worst after an unknown trauma to my screen. I was able to book a spot online after talking to apple's tech support rather than having to go downtown during the pandemic to go to the apple store. They ordered the new screen for me and I had it back 2 business days later. Thats two days sooner than I was quoted. When I went to pick it up they refunded me the deposit as they got apple to cover it. I was dreading the extra cost right now and they lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. Everyone at the store is friendly. During Covid, it's always quite busy, however, which means wait times can be very long and they're not especially good about informing customers in line what to expect. Today I tried calling to check on status of repair 3 times over 3 hours, but no one picked up. And leaving a message didn't result in a call back. I've actually had 2 experiences with Simply Computing in the last couple months. I had to get my AirPods fixed through them because I had purchased their extended care. (Will never do that again. Apple doesn't even have a record of the the fact that I purchased the product.) Then last week, I brought my iPhone to be fixed (cracked screen). It was under Apple Care and I had only gone to them figuring it would take 24 hours at most. The sales rep didn't tell me how long it would take until after I paid the deductible. (And at that point he said 2-3, maybe 5 days at most.) But when I called 2 days after dropping off, they claimed my phone was randomly chosen to be sent to Apple. So I've now been without a phone for a week. (Not easy, when certain apps are necessary as login credentials for work websites!) And it's still not clear when I will receive it. (the answer the sales person gave me after I finally walked over the store today was "maybe 1-2 more days"). Honestly this place should not be in the business of fixing cracked phone screens if they take a week to get it done. In the past, when I've brought various devices to the Apple Store for various issues, it has taken a few hours, or at most a day. Tell the customer what to expect BEFORE they pay, and recommend for something simple like a cracked screen (especially on phones) they should just go directly to the Apple Store.

We had a terrible experience trying to replace the battery of an iPhone. We made an appointment through Apple Support for 11:40am. When we got there the store was actually closed and did not open until 12pm. We waited in the car and went back at 12pm. There was a line up of several people and one of the clerks told us that it would be a long wait. We mentioned our appointment through Apple and he said that they do not honour those appointments, and that customers are served on a first come first serve basis. We waited for a while and gave up. We are not going back there!

Am buying my new mac from these guys because they have a good deal on and they will finance it with me making monthly payments for a year. However, the counter service I received was appalling. The young guy who served me was rude, impatient, and met my simple questions with zero graciousness. When investing $1000+ into a product, I want to know that the person who serves me is willing to provide me with information about that product. At the very least, someone charged by his boss to serve the public should have a modicum of social grace, and most importantly, a genuine desire to help, and inform their customers about their products. Appreciation for frequenting their business I would say was about zero. I felt treated like an inconvenience... a bother. I always prefer to support small businesses, but will bring my business elsewhere in future.

I first spoke with a rep over the phone, who answered all of my questions and booked me a time to drop off my work laptop with an estimate of 3-4 business day turn-around. When I arrived a week or so later to drop off my device, another rep helped me within a minute of entering the store. He did a superb job in assessing my device and running the necessary tests to ensure there was nothing else that needed to be looked at while it was there. He also recommended a more appropriate peripheral device and informed me why he thought it was a good idea, which I purchased that day. The device check-in took longer than anticipated, which he apologized for, but having worked in tech before I know that devices don't always 'behave'; I came prepared for a longer appointment. I received a call a few days later informing me that my device was ready for pickup, and collected it the following day. The rep acknowledged me quickly, provided the prompt return of my equipment, and wished me a pleasant day. Their Apple Specialist had repaired my computer and it works really well! No more battery issues (parts replacement). Overall, a wonderful experience with the team at Simply Computing on Broadway, and I will surely return with any issues and needs in the future! Thanks for the superb customer service!

I bought a used 2016 Macbook Pro from their Victoria Location late 2017. Unfortunately now mid 2019 I started to get the infamous sticky keys as well as some yellow tint around the edge of my screen. Both issues separate from it being a used computer. Luckily for me my wife had the good idea to bully me into buying their extended warranty package which usually my experience isnt great but I bought it none the less and I am very glad I did. I took my laptop into their Vancouver store and they took a quick look at it and said "yep those are problems" and took my laptop from me while I went on vacation. A few days later I got an email confirming that the keyboard and screen were busted and were going to be covered with my warranty! A few days after that I got an email it was ready for pickup and it looks good as new! Glad I bought the warranty now and glad I picked Simply Computing

Do not take your Apple products here. You are much better off going to an Apple store. They had time bring in my MacBook multiple times and even with all the waiting and phone calls, I still had to take the laptop to Apple to get them to fix an issue that Simply caused.

I went to Simply to buy an iPad and had cash in hand ready to buy. I walked into the store and went over to the display and tried to get some attention. There were 3 Simply employees and two other customers in the store. All the merchandize was locked behind plexiglass screens and I waited for 12 minutes feeling like some sort of a criminal while being ignored by the fellow behind the cash counter. I walked out and will never return. I hope they go out of business soon.

I have gone to Simply Computing for about 15 years, service was always ok. However, my husband bought a MacBook Pro (used) from them and upgraded to a 3TB hard drive. He soon realized that one of the memory slots was non-functional and contacted Simply Computing. They pretty much just gave him their condolences and deemed it 'unfixable..' (Which it is, he has checked w other shops..) The fact that they did nothing to address the fact that they sold him a defective computer is pretty appalling - esp. from a well established business.

If I had to recommend one thing, it’d be to improve the leasing experience for customers and make it easier for stores to know when orders have leases attached, etc. Also shouldn’t take multiple emails and phone messages to get an issue resolved.

I had an issue with being able to login into my computer, since every-time I turned the computer on, it would freeze on the login screen. I was told elsewhere that I would need to replace my keyboard, which would have cost me over 500$ after having diagnostics completed. Another great experience! First, Desen (who is a true professional and super knowledgeable and nice) helped me select a used Mac Mini - and it is working GREAT. Second, Simply and their warranty company truly stand by their warranty. They weren't able to fix a USB port on a used MacBook Pro I bought from them (and had a warranty on). Desen sent me to Computer Clearance Center to see if they could do the repair. Not only could they do it, but my extended warranty paid for the repair and a third party location! How awesome is that? AWESOME. Super fast repair as well. Normally I decline the purchase of extended warranties, but lately, with my car and now my apple computer, they have been super helpful and paid for themselves 2x.

I took my computer to Apple. The floor staff and Geniuses that helped me with basic questions for my two computers were great and helpful (4 stars). However, the one computer that needed further diagnostics to estimate the cost of repair came back with a negative answer that it would cost $1000 to fix and require 3 new parts so I should just buy a new computer. Fortunately their diagnostics analysis doesn't cost anything. I took it to Simply Computing instead. Had to pay $50 for diagnostics but the tech guy (Iggy!) was able to simply re-align things with no new parts and got the computer working again for a total of $170 (the $50 diagnostics cost was credited towards that total cost). I would say take your apple products to the Apple Store for basic diagnostics since it's usually free, but if it's a major fix or Apple can't help for cheap, try Simply Computing. It saved us over $1000!

Directed to Simply Computing from Rogers to process an iPhone 5 battery replacement (under Apple's iPhone 5 replacement program) which Rogers confirmed was available to me. The rep talked to the techs who said "no it isn't" and offered me their replacement for the price of $140. I had some water damage happen to my 2012-non-retina MacBook Pro. When I brought it to the Apple Store, they said I needed a new logic board and some other new components. Why not just buy the new MacBook Pro model for $500 more than this $700 repair they asked? Not interested in a huge bill or new computer, I then brought my computer to Simply Computing in Vancouver. I paid for their water damage assessment and testing. Turns out I didn't need all the new components that I was quoted at the previous store. Simply Computing didn't try to sell me a new computer, and were able to repair the old one for hundreds of dollars less. While I was there, they were quick and friendly. I'll be going there again, and would recommend it to others.

I have lived close to this location for a number of years and I have to say my experiences at Simply have really depended on which staff member was serving me. Last year it seemed like no one was ever available (always under staffed) and couldn't care less about your questions or repair needs. Today however was a completely different experience. Andy (assistant manager) was not only helping me but also training a new employee at the same time and did an absolutely incredible job juggling. I needed a new battery for my MBP and in under an hour it was installed. Phenomenal service!! If Simply keeps up the current service streak I'm sure they'll see much more positive reviews over the summer.

My 2012 Mac computer started having issues booting up on a Wednesday. I phoned Simply computing on Thursday morning, dropped it off shortly after. Had great customer service experience while I was there as they explained that the harddirve was failing and needed to be replaced(Not uncommon or its age). I left the computer there to be fixed that day, Friday morning I received a follow up call about total cost and detailed explanation of what was being done. Then by Friday afternoon I had my computer back and it's been running perfectly ever sense. My whole business is run on that computer, not only did I get all my information off before replacing the hard drive but had my computer back in my office up and running with in 72 hours of it breaking down. Absolutely will be using them again for any future needs!

Terrible, went there to buy a Optical Bay to Sata HD converter bracket, was waiting around at the counter for 10 minutes before anyone helped me. Was greeted by a young man rudely seemed like he did not want my business in the slightest. They wanted 99 dollars for this bracket from OWC that you can order directly from them online for 35 dollars. After standing there thinking about it... he asked me very rudely if I was going to buy it and seemed as if he was in a rush to get back on his Facebook. After demanding why the mark up was so high, he said well shipping (paid 6 dollars for shipping) and duties (was not charged duties), to which I said.. ok so that brings the total up to 45 dollars give or take... to which he said well we need to make a profit as well... So you are charging 100 bucks for something I can order online for 35 dollars plus 6 dollars shipping? Get real. Will never be going back here, and will definitely never recommend it to any of my friends. Just because I am a Mac user doesn't mean you can take advantage of me. Good customer service! Tools.

need repairs on your mac computer? go to apple directly! i had an emergency (my computer was restarting on a loop) so i booked the first available appointment on the apple website (via my ipad) and ran over there with my macbook pro 17. first, they charged me to do the diagnosis, $55 with taxes. apple does not charge. not ever. (something reconfirmed when i took it there after) when the technician called me with the bad news, three days later, he offered zero solution, other than "we can help you get another one." (fyi, my computer was designated "vintage" less than six months ago -- meaning they stopped making parts for it, so authorized repair shops are no longer authorized to repair those machines) i know there are other possible solutions to save a computer, with third parties, but he offered none. whatever i did suggest, he said "no" to it, "not possible" (which at this point i know is untrue). "but the good news is your data is intact" (i already knew my hard drive was healthy, but thanks) i don't know about you, but when you have a $4K machine that is just over 5 years old, the last of its kind no less (17") you kinda want to hold on to it. so i booked another appointment, at apple this time. and there, i was able to have a much needed conversation for some possible solutions. the technician at the genius bar was super honest with me. he made some valid points, offered some advices, and even recommended a third party option. he also gave me some pricing on what the parts and labor would have cost (if they were still available), so i wouldn't get ripped off. he was super helpful. which is a lot more than i can say from my experience at simply computing. in summary, they may be good at fixing computers (they are after all an "apple authorized" shop) but as for the rest, they were pretty useless. my feeling is that they were more keen on selling me something else than saving my precious computer. ___ i will add that after i ran over there to get help in stopping the restart loop my computer was on, i was going to take it to apple. the girl who served me tried to deter me in doing so, by insisting that apple could take up to two weeks (which has never been my experience). in any case i caved in and left my computer with them, and that's where i would have saved the $55 charge. ___ (update 7/22/2017) one less computer in the dumpster! i am very happy to report that my computer has been saved (at the third party option recommended at the genius bar) and is now fixed and in working order. to know more, please check my other reviews! :)

Ordered an Iphone with Financing option on Saturday. Since website said that finance process takes 30 min during business hours, i believed it would happen on Monday. At the end of Monday, I filled an enquiry form, got a response on Tuesday stating they will getback to me in 1 business day. No response either on Tuesday or upto the end of Wednesday. I decently emailed them to either process it by Thrursday or just "Cancel" processing my application and order. Magic happened in 5 minutes; they emailed back with 'Rejected' application to put a temporary dent on my Credit Score. That's their Ego. Sorry but this is not the way a customer centric business operates. Edited : From 1 star to 3 stars after getting an email from Retail Head, stating there was a technical glitch in the system which prevented my application to process. I am finally happy with Simply Computing for informing me about it. Atleast once I will try your service.

This was after waiting 30 minutes even though I had an appointment going in. What a joke. Edit: thanks for the response Aaron. Would have been nice if the person behind the counter had told me the diagnostic fee would be applied to the battery repair fee. Edit 2: took my computer to London drugs in Kerrisdale. Got it fixed with no diagnostic fee within 2 days. Simply computing wanted 2-3 days just to run the diagnostic test!

I've been coming here for years, both for retail and repair services. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. For starters, the staff are consistently friendly, honest, and patient. It's not unusual to see customers who clearly struggle with technology being very kindly walked through basic functions/troubleshooting steps. It reflects well on the staff that they are always willing to help someone out, even if that person doesn't necessarily need repairs or retail assistance. Two things to be aware of before you get your device serviced here - the turnaround times can be on the longer side, and you do typically need to pay a diagnostic fee, even if repairs end up being covered by Apple. To me, it's 100% worth it to know your laptop is in competent hands.

I had trouble with opening my computer this morning, and took it in to Simply Computing. I arrived at a good time, so was seen almost immediately. Johnathan helped me sort the problem out, tried a few options and within 15 minutes solved the issue. I had similar experience when I wanted to sort out my files early this year, I'd been used to a PC and now have a Mac. I booked a session with Sea Bass, was asked to make a list before coming to save time. In a 50 minute session I had my files in order, and learned how to use the Mac. Both sessions were very reasonably priced for the work done. Staff are professional and helpful, explaining in simple terms without using jargon. Instead of going to the Apple Store I’d rather go here to avoid the crowd and long wait time. They take walk-ins for service/repairs as well as appointments. They also sell all Apple Products except iPhones and you can also take a look at the demo units before you purchase. They also do financing that Apple store doesn’t and the warranty options are better in terms of pricing as well as it offers protection from unexpected incidents. Must visit this place for any Apple related issue or purchase. In the end they are an Apple Authorized Store. They also offer on-site training/service at your home/office and they offer free seminars as well in-store.

I have dealt with Simply Computing on West Broadway for 6 years now. It's a nice store - the Apple Store downtown is a bunfight, and SC on Broadway is easy to get to, free parking, well laid out, nice to browse around with large easy chairs to sit in, and good staff. Unlike the Apple Store, which is usually like "Rush Hour". I had a problem with my old iMac - it died. All my data possibly lost, tho' I have backups. Initially, I had what I might euphemistically call "hiccups" - misunderstandings and so on. It happens - language difficulties with technicians and so on. Fault on both sides. Enter Robert Cole - the bossman. Personable, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. He sorted it all out in a few minutes, he suggested a Refurbished iMac might be best for me. It was, and is. It's like a new iMac now - all my data back again. At a reasonable price. I am very happy with them and I highly recommend them. 4.8 stars. Always room for improvement - anywhere!

Ok, was just about done with my 2012 IMac, hard drive was spent. So I went to the Mac store and they basically told me there was nothing they could do, except to offer me yet another one. This is getting tiring. I’ve had 3 iMacs over the last 19 years, not bad but.... I brought my 2012 iMac to these guys and instead I telling me to buy a new one, they explained that all I had to do is exchange old hard drive with a new one and a another sweet upgrade in the disk drive spot ( which doesn’t get used any more ) and bingo, my machine works like it’s brand new. Everything went smooth as silk, even the way I was handled in the store. It was even a Sunday ! Love these guys; can’t praise them enough. Nice to be with the pros. Can’t remember the name of the guy that dealt with me, but from what I could see and hear, they were all good. All the way from Denman Island, big thanks. You guys saved us money ! I had to replace a power cord and block for a MacBook Pro while I was in Vancouver on a business trip. The guys at Simply Computing were very helpful, got me exactly what I needed and, since I am from the states, even gave some advice on the local sites to to visit. Not a lot of flexibility on the prices for Mac equipment, so it was expensive ($80!) and the added tax brought it up over $90 Canadian.

Brought my macbook here because Apple in Oakridge and Pacific Centre had no availability within a reasonable time frame. Quality of repair was exceptional (identical to bringing it to a genius bar) and all of the staff were very friendly and patient (Thanks Daniel!). Turnaround was faster than quoted as well. First time to walk into this store and a must say I was pretty impressed. They have Apple products too, which I was not expecting. They seem to have pretty knowledgeable staff. With all the pandemic situation they didn't lack customers, which added to the confidence level they might be good to visit in the future.

Great service! Roy was very helpful in running diagnostics for my computer, and assisting me with my phone as well - advising me not to hand it in to change my battery until the tech would be in later in the week - saving me a lot of hassle. Very convenient, and skips of fuss of having to book an appointment in an apple store.

Terrible service AND they never answer the phone! Overcharged next for repair. INCREDIBLY sneaky. They asked me to pay a deposit and DID NOT refund deposit. They said it was for the extra service they provided. Total bait and switch. This was also after I walked in. Took a number. Sat down. And the associates went to help three people who simply walked in. Actually greeted them and walked up to them. Excuse me? Three people. When I had followed the proper procedure.

Amazing customer service! Highly recommend. The screen on my 2016 Macbook Pro went black, and I knew it would be very expensive to fix. I brought my computer into Simply Computing (nervous to find out the issue). The Apple specialist, Robert, was knowledgable & friendly and he took the time to explain all the options as well as the costs involved. Within a few days, they not only resolved the issue but were able to get it covered under the Apple quality program. Such great news! I am incredibly thankful to Robert, and the technician Jason, for going above and beyond with this repair. Will come back here again if I run into any other computer issues.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR REPAIRS!!! i went in to fix my laptop keyboard as 1 of my main letters is not working. They kept it for a couple days. They called advising my battery is not working properly and suggested I replace it. They had my laptop for 1 week and not only did they NOT fix the problem I went in with, but they charged me for a brand new battery only to come home to find out nothing was done and my laptop is still not working. My battery is still dying within 4 hours or less, and my lettr was not fixed AT ALL. They charged me for all this and did NOTHING after keeping my laptop for an ENTIRE WEEK. They would not give my money back even thought they charged me for a new battery when it clearly wasn't changed. Read all the reviews on Yelp - I wish I did before. WORST SERVICE EVER. STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOUR MONEY UPDATE: My laptop keeps burning up whenever I use it so it's now even worse than before I took it to Simply Computing. Who keeps someone's laptop for an entire week claim to fix and and give it back worse than it was before? And you are Lying since you told me to replace the Keyboard would only cost me $200 - but now here you jumped the price to $400 on here?? What kind of business are you?? As soon as I'm back in the Country I will be taking this to Apple and have them investigate the lack of repairs and faulty battery you claim you replaced and had the audacity to charge me for. Apple should be ashamed to partner with you. I just pray my laptop doesn't catch on fire while away since its barely working as is. Again STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Price gouge for battery replacement compared to an actual apple store. Not only do they want the $65 Apple charges to replace the battery they proceeded to take an additional labour cost on almost doubling the price. Avoid at all costs. Oink oink trying to slurp up as much gravy as possible. Disgusting!!

I've had some really good experiences here. My latest was today when I "lost" all contact info on my iphone (not properly backed up). The employee who helped me (Paddy) was determined and left no stone unturned. The problem was not an easy to solve and while he ultimately was able to fix it, it took a lot of creativity and patience to do so at a really reasonable price. All I can say is "thank you"--I'm glad you guys are close to my neighborhood.

The folks at Simply Computing are always great. The thing I appreciate most about their service is that they are totally helpful, even when disaster strikes. I've had the misfortune of having two of my family's laptops die this year. While they couldn't be fixed economically, the folks at Simply were really helpful in finding an equivalent used replacement for me. They even patiently did battery diagnostics for me to determine the battery health of the laptops I was considering. This week, when I went to retrieve my wife's dead Macbook Air, I was checking out two replacement used models. After taking a closer look and checking the battery, the tech suggested neither was particularly great and that he might have a better one for the same price in the back. Indeed, he did. It would have been very easy for him to force a decision between the two less-good models and it would have been better for Simply to get one of them out of their inventory. After all, I had already chosen to buy a replacement and had narrowed it down to the two in front of me. All in all, it was great service and the more times I go there, the more reasons they give me to trust them.
