Frontier PC had a particular model of server (brand new) that I needed. Called the rep, provided the info and they worked with me without hassle to get the machine purchased and shipped out. The depot accidentally missed the shipment date but they did offer to compensate for the delay. It arrived sealed and functional. The problems other people are describing seem to be related to purchasing odd replacement parts and technical issues that they're not familiar with. As a business it's very difficult to cater to multiple faculties, especially with customers who need weird problems to be resolved. From a purchasing standpoint there were no problems (for me).
I went there to warranty service my Lenovo Helix (2 times now) and the tech was extremely helpful and professional. I would have been in trouble trying to get my device up and running over the phone with Lenovo. If not for this tech I wouldn't have being happy with Helix as it's not super reliable. Their tech, Oleg made it easy and friendly. Good for Lenovo to have such a warranty service store in Vancouver

Small small hick-ups in the shipping process that delayed package 24hrs. No big deal. Sales rep support was marvelious Good product selection and reasonable prices Returns can be problematic and untimley between shipping and merchant credit due to the nature of drop shipping.

My husband bought Lenovo Yoga 730 as a gift for me. From the first time, I use it has many problems such as can not connect with wifi. I must restart every time I use it. Yes, exactly every time, every day at least one time. I also must restart it after 2 hours using it. It is terrible We went to the Lenovo store many times to fix it but you know, it the same problems and of course it still during the warranty period but they charged it. I think they should give me a new one to change in the first month of the day I bought it if it has a problem. It is the minimum warranty required by the manufacturer. This mistake belongs to the factory, not me. I wish I never bought it. Of course, I will never ever buy anything from Lenovo again. I am writing the review after I have already restarted my laptop three times during 4 hours working. Do you know my feeling? I hate their products and their warranty policy
My Thinkpad was giving me some serious trouble and I was able to take it into FrontierPC for servicing. They ended up having to order a part for me and notified me once it was in. I brought my laptop in and 10 minutes later I'm out the door with a functioning laptop.
They were very helpful in helping me fix my laptop. Highly recommend.
Beware- if you order online the item may not be returnable, even for credit. I ordered a plastic monitor stand in haste, opened the box, realized it was not the right one and they declined a request to return simply because the box is open. I can understand not taking back an opened hard drive, but a plastic stand? Seems a little extreme, especially in the age of amazing return policies from Amazon, New Egg, Tigerdirect etc. etc. Either these guys update their return policies to the 21st Century, or they go the way of the Dodo. At this point, I hope for the latter.
Frontier PC has been a like partner in our business that has helped us grow to where we are today. Desmond Ho has directed us with the right advice, provided great technology with outstanding service. Hands down, simply the best!
Should have read these reviews first. Ordered a couple of items and ended up having to drive out to the middle of nowhere Richmond to pick them up as it was an emergency order. Rushed to my event to set up my projector and screen and realized they had given me the completely wrong screen. When I emailed them to fix it they informed me I would have to ship the screen all the way back to Ontario (a $85 shipping bill) to solve the problem. I asked if there was another way to solve the problem, and they have just stopped replying to me all together. Last I heard from them was a month ago. BUY ANYWHERE ELSE

I brought an old external hard drive that had stopped working into Frontier PC to see if data that was stored on it could be retrieved. When speaking with Saiful, he was so friendly, professional and knowledgeable and their pricing wasn’t extortionate as other places I had visited. I left my hard drive with Saiful and within 24 hours I received a progression email. While they could not retrieve the data from my hard drive, Saiful went out of his way to find recommendations on a company that could. Frontier PC are a friendly, professional, and efficient company who I would definitely use again in the future and would highly recommend to anyone with PC issues.

The other day I ordered a graphics card from frontiers online store. A few hours later I received an email from one of their accountants that the payment did not go through. So I checked my banking records and there was a charge on my debit card. I replied with in five minutes of receiving the email saying the error must be on their end. 24 hours later, I still had no reply so I called my bank to make sure that the payment went through and I wasn’t missing something. The bank said that the money had been deposited in Frontiers account. This seems to be a scam. I would not recommend ordering from them and I would personally steer clear. I haven’t received my money back nor have I received any product.
Our department at UBC has a laptop is not starting up at all and it still has warranty till next year March, we located Frontier PC is an authorized Lenovo Service Provider. It is easy to reserve an Lenovo warranty service appointment with them online at their website. I wanted to give myself a day after my service to ensure my review wasn't clouded by emotions. 2020 is definitely frustrating, and Frontier doesn't exactly make it any better. I understands that Frontier services both businesses and consumers - my service was based as a consumer, but I would not be surprised if some of their satisfactory service carried over. Unfortunately, I had to visit Frontier twice for a battery issue I was having with my Lenovo. First time, my laptop was returned to me where it did not even power on. I immediately returned, and the tech dumbfoundedly looked at me saying to go charge it as all they did was replace the battery. He made it seemed like it would be a waste of their efforts to even check the new battery replacement. I get it. Get customer out as fast as you can so you can move onto the next task. From a consumer side, the very least they could have done was during pick up, communicate to me that they tested it and I would need to charge it. None of that was done. Regardless, the job got done. Nothing more. Second time, I had to return for the same battery issue (go figure) and a BIOS update issue I was having. Again, very similar experience, but the communication from the tech took a turn for the worst. When I asked if they were able to address the BIOS issue I was having. His reply was, "You already updated it, what do you want me to do?" He said this as he was walking away from me, clearly giving the impression that he has better things to deal with. Completely speechless. You're the tech. It seems like you wanted me to give you advice on how to do your job? Maybe find the root cause of my issue? I get it though. Job is done. BIOS was already updated (by me), and battery got replaced again. Any quality assurance or desire to do more than what is needed is time wasted on their end. In and out. Job is done. Nothing more. So in the end, the job got done. Communication is boarder-line pass. They'll get you your parts. Attitude from the tech (especially that one tech) could use an adjustment, but again, the job got done. Just do not expect anything more. This is why I feel a 3/5 start is well-deserved. Would I be returning to Frontier for service? Nope. Do I think they care? Nope. UPDATE: Justin, the teach lead from Frontier, gave me a personal call to address my review. Clearly they take their online presence seriously (which is a great thing). He apologized for my experience and tried to mitigate the situation. Overall a friendly talk. I sincerely appreciate the call, but again, this wasn't just one occurrence, as it has happened twice now. Justin assured me that this feedback will be taken back to management.
This is the best place to get your laptop fixed, I’m a student and my laptop broke about a week and a half before midterms and they managed to order my screen and fix my laptop all in two days. The guy that’s serviced me was brown, never got his name but he was amazing. He called me the day after I got my laptop to check on me and see how the laptop was doing. Hopefully my laptop never breaks anytime soon but if it does this is the place I would 100% take it to get fixed. I highly recommend this place .
My Acer had a boot device problem, I brought it to Frontier and they replaced the hard drive for me. Reasonable price, great customer service. Highly recommend Frontier for any device repair.
One of the keys on my MSI laptop keyboard came off, was unable to to put the key back myself, called Frontier and the guy who answered told me they will have to REPLACE the WHOLE keyboard, and the parts won't even be genuine part from MSI instead it will be sourced from Amazon and the whole process would take 2-3 weeks......wow..wonder how much everything would've cost me. Anyway, so I called another place and was told to bring my laptop in for a look and an hour later it was fixed for 20 bucks. Good bye Frontier.
The charging port on my laptop was on the fritz. Spoke to their service guy. Discussed my options. Then he pulled up my laptop's specs from the S/N and figured out a work around. I was back up and charging with my phone still at my ear. Good, honest, "let's see what we can do to help you" service. Thank you, Service Guy! (I never got his name). Look forward to thanking you in person. I'll bring some doughnuts.
The customer service representative a took great concern in my problem. They addressed all my needs very professionally and they fixed the issue with my computer and all I had to do was drop it off and they called me to pick it up once the issue was solved. Thanks guys!
Our company server died this morning and we needed a replacement asap. I contacted the brand to replace the unit but it would have took a day or two to receive the replacement part since they were located in Seattle. Instead, I called around looking for a specific brand so that migration would be quick and easy, no one had this specific brand in-stock except for Frontier. I was directed to Paul right away and told him our problem. Sensing the urgency of the situation, Paul and Oleg went out of their way to deliver and install the unit. Instead of losing our server for a day or two, it was up and running in half a day. I was definitely impressed with their service and efficiency. Thanks Paul and Oleg!

paid over $100 to have some minor repairs on my laptop done - just over one year later the exact problem resurfaced again - laptop has not been used outside my office since repairs were done - clearly the repairs did not work - Frontier PC wants to charge me the same price again to attempt to fix it..

Was having issues with my keyboard and trackpad not working. The consultant was attentive and quick to start exploring potential issues that may have been causing the problems. I was prepared to pay as needed but they looked up the computer and turned out it was all covered under warranty and that they would be ordering the parts immediately. I was notified the following day that my laptop was ready for pick-up. Very professional and efficient, and great customer service!

When I cracked my laptop screen and sought help from frontier PC as they are the lenovo experts, Cameron the sales manager was super efficient in responding to my request and following up with many of my detailed questions. Saiful the technician who worked on my laptop was so amazing and very professional in discussing how he will approach with the repair as well as explaining to me what he did and what he noticed with my laptop during repair. My screen was not an easy case but frontier team made it, and I was able to pick up my laptop 3 hours after I dropped it off. Definitely a five star experience all the way from the first contact to walking out with a great fix for my laptop.

Just to let everyone know, there are no returns at Frontier PC if box opened. They are not going to tell you this when you are purchasing there. Last week I bought Chromebook there and the same day when trying to set it up I learned that Skype is not working at Chromebook (this was going to be a gift for grandma who lives far away). Took it back right away and they wouldn't take it back because the box was opened. How else are you supposed to know if the product is good or not?! Who buys a gadget to keep it in the box for a day or so and returns it back in an unopened box??!!! So if you want to save a couple of bucks, you are not going to because at Frontier it just might cost you entire amount if product not good. If you don't care to buy from a reputable place which stands behind its product (all other stores would take it back, exception are a few smaller stores that would charge you re-stocking fee. I checked out today.), then just go to Craigslist and you will get even better deal with the same terms and conditions this place offers! Do not throw your money at Frontier PC!

My company has been a client of Frontier PC for almost 20 years now. I’ve been consistently pleased with their outstanding service and competitive pricing. Recently, we had an after hours issue where our Internet was down with patients arriving in our clinic early the next morning. One of their lead technicians, Jason, not only came to our clinic to remedy the problem, but stayed on his own time after hours, to make sure that everything worked properly before we opened the next morning. While all of the Frontier technicians are very good, Jason’s knowledge and efficiency are unrivaled. I’ve been extremely happy with him and the entire Frontier team. I’d highly recommend this company for your computer needs and support.
Brought my desktop here because of a noise issue. Saiful replaced one the fans and cleaned the entire PC very thoroughly. Kind of amazed how quietly it runs now. He was also friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely will come back.

Don't waste your time at this place. Simply Computing down the street recommended I take my laptop to Frontier because I was having "issues." Simply Computing was highly recommended by friends and neighbours but sadly, only deals with Apple products. The dude at Frontier couldn't even be bothered to look at the laptop, let alone diagnose the problem. He was more interested in dumping a refurbished laptop on me, which was probably a piece of junk. It was well worth the time and effort to drive to Richmond to Generic Computers. Generic used have a shop on BWY, but sadly it's closed now. They gladly took a look at the computer and had some solutions. Problem fixed, at half the price of Frontier. Frontier was willing to charge me $250, with no guarantee that the computer would be fixed. boo Frontier.

Went to Frontier PC to get my laptop checked after it had water damage to it. Oleg opened it up for me right then and there and inspected it free of charge. It was a huge relief to actually be able to be with him while he was looking at it - I don't know enough about computers to fix them myself but I hate giving it over blindly and waiting weeks for someone to fix it! Luckily there didn't appear to be any damage (yet) so I can't comment on how good they are at actually fixing stuff but I was very happy with the service.

Saiful at Frontier PC assisted me in recovering my hard drive from my damaged Windows PC and then was successfully able to migrate all data to my new Macbook. He patiently explained the process and even waited a few minutes after closing so that I could pick up the Macbook on the same day that I brought it in to have the data migrated. Friendly staff, good place. A bit pricey I would say, as I would appreciate it if I be charged for repairs and not just for looking at the device. Charged me 45 just to look, I'm not a fan of that. But yeah, decent place and good people of you're looking for repairs. Not the cheapest, but definitely one of the nicer placer with polite people :)
Warning ... don't go to Frontier PC Vancouver to get any Lenovo IBM computer service. I went in today stating that the bluetooth device wasn't working. I explained that the motherboard had been replaced by another Lenovo service center while I was on a business trip in HK. I asked if there was an on/off button for the bluetooth and the service guy (named Oleg) said no. Oleg said he had to open the computer to ensure the bluetooth device was there. He opened it and the device was there. He then turned my computer back on and told me to press FN+F5 to turn the bluetooth device on and off. Well why the heck did he not do that in the first place? Why did he have to open my computer? Why did after doing FN+F5 did he poke around my Control Panel, etc. Because though the wireless mouse is working now, the computer is slow as a snail to turn on (where I'm staring at a black screen for a long time) ... and the computer takes 300% longer to turn on!! This was NOT the case before going in. And honestly, I don't see why he didn't just try FN+F5 in the first place without opening up my computer and also poking around. God knows what he did ... cause now I have other issues ... a slow slow slow computer ... which wasn't my problem when I first went ... but sure is a problem after coming out. And I called Frontier PC to speak with a manager. They put Wendy on ... she's not technical at all ... but she sure is about dictatorship and yelling at her customers without listening. She should not be a Manager whatsoever. As result of my experience, I feel a great need to share this with potential customers looking for good quality IT service ... and that is to say be careful about going in. Wendy is nasty ... and about the technical service ... I fear I have more problems than before going in. Your safe bet ... try another Lenovo Service Provider. I will have to do that now.
Frontier has no Return policy if the BOX IS OPEN!!!! Even Best buy would let you return items when they are open. How ridiculous is this? Probably spent 10K on items from this company within the past 12 months and yet they were not able to return 2 Lexmark 2100 drawers for 1K. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST.
I had a lot of problems over a long period of time with my new Lenovo laptop. Some of them were solved by Frontier PC, others, by myself. However, when I had an increased number of problems, including with batter charging, I reported the problems to Lenovo support online, and Lenovo sent me a box to send it back to another city for repairs. I opted instead to have Siaf at Frontier work on it. Siaf did a thorough job of diagnosing, checking everything that could be contributing to the problems, and assuring me that in all the ways he could find, the machine had no problems. Along the way, he got rid of some software that might be causing problems, and that turned out to speed up the machine. Finally he checking the electrical cord, and that turned out to have a tiny dent in the end that goes into the USB-C port to charge the computer (poor design on Lenovo's part to make the charge connection so easy to damage). It had apparently gotten bent while I was getting used to the computer, some months after I had gotten it. I got a new cord from Frontier (it was in stock, luckily), and now the computer works well. Siaf didn't give up until he had solved the problem, and I didn't have to do without the laptop for the weeks it would have taken to get shipped two ways.
So I ordered two Optiplex computers, at the price advertised, and Frontier just cancelled the order citing "wrong price", and then jacked up the price by $600. Totally unreliable and very shady business practices here. You would be well advised to steer clear of this business, and buy somewhere else.
I lost the sound on my laptop and needed it fixed urgently. The technician was very helpful and fixed the problem the same day. I am extremely impressed by the professionalism and expertise and very grateful for the prompt and excellent service.
I took my Lenovo thinkpad in for diagnostics and repair and was incredibly impressed by the level of service I received and the results. Extremely knowledgable advisors, professional service and quick to undertake the work required. My advisor kept me updated throughout. Overall, very happy with this service and highly recommend.
