Not impressed with these Guys! My friend recently had relied on them to fix a small problem with her gmail account and ended up creating ' screen of death', corrupting her D drive. They also handed it back to her with the hard drive out. Then telling her that they had backed up all her files on to a memory card from the drive and they would reinstall once she bought a new computer which she didn't have the money for. They charged her $57 for their services! I believe it should have been for free with an apology when they handed back the laptop unusable. Since then, I had taken a look at it, reinstalled the hard drive, recovered her corrupted drive which they(Dial-a-Geek) corrupted, and reset windows 10. Restoring her computer. Luckily, hers wasn't a real hard fix! Now, it even runs faster. Blue screen not necessarily means that it cannot be Fixed! It's just what maybe causing the malfunction.

We were very pleased with the service we received from Shawn Jones at Sneakers Computers/Dial-A-Geek during a recent visit to Victoria during which we experienced computer problems. With the help of the concierge at our hotel, we located this company & took our laptop to their office. Shawn took in our computer & promised to call within a few hours with a diagnosis. When we heard from Shawn in the allotted time, he told us what was wrong, what needed to be done to fix it, the approximate cost & estimated time of completion. When we picked up the laptop the next day as promised, Shawn provided excellent service by answering our questions & going over the setup, repairs, etc., to our satisfaction. The cost was exactly what Shawn had estimated & 3 weeks after completion we are still happy that we found Shawn Jones & Sneakers Computers.

Dial-A-Geek is our go-to computer service in Victoria. We work from home, and we find their on-site service is invaluable. They are extremely courteous, knowledgeable, efficient, and they always make room in their scheduling to fit us in quickly, etc.

The tech was on time and very polite. He was able to solve my problem in under the hour and spent the rest of the time 'fine tuning' my computer. Before he left he explained what had happened, how he fixed it, and ways I could avoid the problem in the future...all without using that techno-babble! Very impressed, would definitely use again.

Called these guys and set a 9am appointment following day for hubby's computer. Unbeknownst to me, hubby had booked a 3pm, same day with "other guys". The other guys spent over an hour and did up a list of needs based on a corrupt download?? The cost would have been almost $900. When I learned that hubby had another appointment I did attempt to cancel Dial-A-Geek. Thank goodness they didn't get the message. They showed up promptly at 9am (and I figured WTH...get a second opinion). The fixed the problem in <10 minutes. Period. No corrupt download or pile of tech-y terms designed to confuse. Computer works like new for under $100. They're our new go-to tech gurus.

Brought in my laptop for repairs as it stopped powering on. Three days and $60 later I was told the problem was, "It won't power on. It's dead." Thanks tips. Wish I had have thought of that. If nothing else, the staff was very polite.

Earlier this evening I had the pleasure of meeting two of the nicest young men, Walker and Amsiit They were very efficient in hanging my new TV, then tuning in the set. Totally setting the TV up and explaining how to navigate the two remotes. One young man gave me some suggestions on a good book on East Indian cuisine and a few tips too!
