I had Bill of CSR Computers come to fix my lap top as it wasn't using a secure network with my bank. An error would come up whenever I went to that website. He was here for about 1 1/2 hours and thought he fixed it. I paid $143 for this service. The next day, the exact same thing was happening. I called him and he first berated me for calling too early (outside of his hours which isn't stated on his voice mail). He then asked me to come to his house to have it fixed. I asked him to text me the address and I haven't heard from him again. I had a different company here this afternoon. They were here for 1/2 hour and the problem is 100% fixed and he also gave me some other helpful tips!!

My laptop was not responding to any of mine commands , it was slow and it was getting quite frustrating. I could not afford a new one so I called CSR and took it in. I told Bill that it had never been serviced in all the years I had it and he explained to me that the system likely just needed a cleanup. He diagnosed my laptop and cleaned it up for under a 100.00. This establishment made me wait for 2 months for a part that was supposed to be shipped in from the US. After I turned up to collect my supposedly repaired machine, all the owner could offer was, "I owe you an apology, one of my staff made a mistake and fixed the wrong machine. So we are just going to give you back your laptop and not charge you anything for it." This was after 2 months during which time I had repeatedly called him to enquire about how the repair was progressing. All I got back was my laptop with its screen detached from the bezel as before. I suppose I should be thankful that he at least put on some duct tape on it before giving it back. If Google Reviews had a negative ratings option I'd have gleefully used it. If you're in Kelowna and require laptop repair, this is NOT the place to go.

Took in my macbook after IWorld told me my hard drive crashed and there was NOTHING they could do to get my files for me. As a university student with finals coming up, it was very important for me to have all my documents which contain all my notes from the entire semester. Took it into Bill and he had it fixed within a couple days AND was able to restore absolutely all of my data for me. Not to mention my mac is running better than it was the day I purchased it! Highly recommended.

DO NOT use CSR Computer Repair! Last July I was scammed $604 for a laptop screen that mysteriously never arrived, and after NINE MONTHS of followups and broken promises of refunds and all sorts of ridiculous excuses, I don't want anyone else stolen from. Huge amount of stress and frustration. Never once a return phone call. Never once a followup. Tells me he's going through a divorce, his aunt died, he's fighting forest fires. I tried sitting outside his office waiting for him to come in person - Went 3 times. Turns out he had left town. Sends my phone number straight to voicemail. Pretty certain he is using phonie alias with the emails I received from "his account" I gave him 9 months of benefit of the doubt, but I have been proved wrong. This guy is a crook. Get the word out and keep this from happening to anyone else.

I recently had Bill test a SATA Hard drive of mine that would not power up. He confirmed that it was cooked and offered to contact the manufacturer on my behalf to see if they would replace as it was 90 days past warranty.As I waited, he did just that and made all the arrangements for it's replacement with NO CHARGE. Way to go Bill :)

3 mouths to get my laptop new keyboard put in and he broke one key and around the one spot the keyboard is not setting in place right, that is unacceptable. Lost the power cord, he is ordering a new one . To top it all off he is hard to get a hold of.

315 Days to be done with this con artist I had a brand new Mac Book Pro that had water damage to the battery. I called Bill up to see if he could handle the repair. He very promptly replied "as a matter of fact we can". I dropped off the computer (with full payment of the parts required) on May 26th, 2017. That was the last I saw of my Mac Book Pro. After weeks and months with no replied to my emails, I got creative and contacted his business partner. I then got a response from Bill saying the computer should be ready at the end of the week. After several more weeks of no response, he said that he can't fix my Mac Book Pro, but said that he can get it replaced by a "contact" at Apple. In his email he said "replace it with a fully refurbished one same year and specs as yours". This was back in July, 2017. You can guess what happens next, almost a year goes by with nothing and mind-blowingly terrible communication. I did everything I could think of to try and get my computer back and was starting the process with a lawyer to try and recovery my property. Fast forward to the end of March of 2018, Bill would like to meet at 9:15pm in a gas station parking lot to deliver me my replacement computer. To be completely honest, I didn't think he would show up. I was so suspicious of this guy by this point and uncomfortable that I recorded the entire exchange. He delivered me a computer, I made sure it turned on, at first glance it looked ok, so I was happy that I could be done with this person. Unsurprisingly the the computer delivered was way older then mine Model A1278 circa 2012. Mine was a 2016 Model A1708. The charger I had for my laptop didn't even fit this one delivered by Bill. I do not want to ever deal with anything to do with Bill Henthorn ever again. All I can do is try and tell my story here so others don't make the same mistake that I did.

Horrible customer service! I sure wish I had read the poor reviews before I dropped my computer off with Bill Henthorn in July of 2017! I still don't have it back by the way! I've sent several emails asking to pick it up fixed or not, stopped by the office many times, but its always closed up. Been told the part is coming, many excuses and now just no response. I see he responds to poor reviews so maybe I can contact him this way to get my property back?

Terrible experience. Was supposed to get a battery replaced in my MacBook Pro and over the course of a month, it never ended up happening. Was texting back and forth with one of the employee’s which kept telling me the battery was coming in. Battery never ended up coming in. Employee had read receipts on his phone and would read the message and not respond for days on end. Terrible experience, don’t recommend.

We called Bill at CSR Computers because we were having issues with our internet speed. After talking with our internet service provider they told us we needed a new router. Bill came and trouble shot our issue and was able to figure out it was our modem and not the router. We had them switch our modem on Bill's recommendation and we have been very pleased. Finding a pretty reasonable priced MAC technician in Kelowna is hard and especially one that will work on older Mac products. We called Bill from CSR to come out and fix our older Macbook Pros. I was having an issue with my MacBook trying to access files and it kept telling me I did not have permission to access these files . I called Bill at CSR and he came out that day and figured out that I somehow created a separate profile and the laptop would always boot to that .profile. Has two laptops one older and one newer both massively infected with viruses. The fix was quite reasonable and very fast. Got my older laptop upgraded as well. But while I was there the owner Bill took the time to write this letter for an older lady who had been hacked so she could get her refund back. Who does that ? Great job CSR . I am confined to a wheel chair as a result of an accident and was having a terrible time with my laptop connecting to the internet . I called CSR and Bill came out and determined it was firewall that was blocking my connection . He had me up and running in less then 1/2 hour and also helped me setting my mail up through Microsoft. I have been waiting 2 &1/2 years to get my computer back! Every time I called he would tell me to call back in a couple days then. He was out of town, his dog died. Every excuse known to man. He just said he was away for 2 weeks so I called when he said he would be back and his phone goes straight to voicemail I can't believe this guy how does he actually still have a buisness . And the people giving good reviews are probably just him or family, cause 2 1/2 years and I still have no computer I don't no where his office is or I would go there does anyone no where his office is so I can see what is up with this guy.

I contracted Bill Henthorn/CSR on April 22, 2016 to install a Member Registration system for a Not for Profit (Parkinson Senior Society). The install was set to take place on May long weekend. Bill advised when he didn't show up as scheduled that he was ill and was unable to get the system in as planned. Well to make a very long story short, our system never got installed and we were only notified 2 weeks ago that he was unable to complete the service that we had paid a sizeable deposit on. We were given excuse after excuse and deadline after deadline on why our system wasn't installed. Bill gave us a myriad of stories of personal strife that played on our sympathies and bought him more time. He became condescending in his correspondence with us and felt his excuses were legitimate in delaying providing us with the service we had paid him for in advance. He supposedly hired a support person to help him through the tough personal times and then slammed that person and apparently fired him for giving us deadlines and promises that Bill was not prepared to keep. My advice to anyone that is needing a service provided with respect to their computer that they steer completely away from CSR. BUYER DEFINITELY BEWARE. After 8 months of waiting we received, this morning, our deposit back less $713.00 for services/parts that he supposedly supplied. A complete gouging!! We have in less than a week contracted another vendor to supply the exact system that Bill quoted. The hardware was delivered from the US in 4 days and the software was downloadable online. Sure doesn't sound that complicated to me after all. Please note I didn't want to click any stars but my review would not post otherwise so I clicked on one star.

Bill Will only give you a huge Bill, dont waste your time and money.. I would not recommend him to anyone... please read this before dropping your unit off.. It will at least take 3 month to repair anything, and no guarantee that it will be fixed - but you will have to pay your bill even if nothing was fixed or done.. Took our computer into CSR because it was upgraded to Windows 10 and CSR downgraded it back to 7 for us and set up our email again.. It is working great... Thanks to CSR we highly recommend them. Very polite as well.

Would never recommend. My Mac was water damaged and he would never give us updates and kept telling us a part is coming from China, he told us every Friday to come back and he would have more info or the computer ready for 2 months and when we did his doors were locked. Never answered phone calls or emails. It took 8 months to get my computer back, nothing was fixed and he didn't give us back the hardware or screws that Apple needs to give us a deal on a whole new computer. Still won't answer messages to try and come pick up the stuff he didn't give back. Worst of all, he never was he one fixing it, he sent it to a buddy out of town and we were never told that till 6 months in, and were not given his contact information to try and work it out with the other guy. I had apple care but knew it would take a week or two to get a new computer for FREE through them, but decided to go through CSR and pay an arm and a leg hoping to get it back in less than a week. He never informed us it would take my entire University school year to get it fixed.

First of all I must tell you I know absolutely nothing about computers other then how to turn if off and turn it on. I am a photographer by profession who needs her computer to work and cannot afford to have my computer down for any length of time . Over the course of the last several weeks my MacBook Pro all be it an older one, started to slow down but because I had to keep working I chose to deal with it . Well that was a huge mistake and this past Tuesday it crashed completely . My anxiety went through the roof because all of my projects and photos were on my laptop and I had no back up. Talk about stress . I called around to several places only to be told I wouldn't be able to get it looked at for at least three days . A friend of mine told me she used CSR computers and to ask for Bill. She said that CSR had some work done for her and she said that he was quick and affordable. So I called Bill and he came out that afternoon. After about half an hour of performing a variety of tests Bill was able to to determine that my hard drive crashed and all I could think of was all my data was gone. Bill saw how upset I was and said he was optimistic that he could still get my files off drive. He said that as long as there was power to it he was confident he could get the data off . He took it back to his shop and to my amazement called me the next day and said he had retrieved all of my photos and projects. He managed install a new drive and my computer was up and running after having it for just two days . I was grateful for being referred to him by my friend Robin and was so thankful for Bill to get me back up and running within two days . He also set up a backup for me so that in the future of disaster we're to strike again at least my photos and projects would be backed up . I highly recommend Bill and CSR and will continue you to use him from this point forward .

Beware! Worst service I have ever experienced. Do not take your laptop to CSR computers. You might not see it again for a long time. After being told my laptop would be ready "next week" for months, I finally got it back scratched with missing screws and my 1 TB hard drive replaced with a 120 GB hard drive. What a joke. Doesn't answer messages and jerks you around. I am still unsure whether CSR computers is a legitimate business or a scam.

This is the worst computer repair service ever. My computer needed a minor repair and at first I thought he was a nice guy and that I made the right choice. He kept my laptop for four months and always had excuses as to why it wasn't finished. I am a university student and needed my laptop. When I called to demand my laptop back fixed or not he harassed me over the phone blaming his personal life on why it still wasn't fixed. He then over charged me for my computer and it was actually taped back together and it broke a few months later. Do not go to Bill at CSR.

I took three of my laptops to CSR with 3 different issues. I didn’t have any hope in fixing 1 of my laptops, as I was told by several different technicians that I need to buy a new computer. Bill was able to fix the issue at low cost. with my 2 other laptops, he replaced Hard Drives, re-install operating systems, transfer all data, downgrade to windows 7 as requested, install Microsoft office (30 day trial)and anti-virus. I was very pleased with the services. When I went to pick up my computers he had all of them cleaned and running. Bill took his time to show me what he has done, and provided me with warranties for parts he replaced. His Invoices were very well done and very clean to understand. I spend most of my life in customer services and it’s really nice to meet someone with a personality who takes pride in his business and cares for customer who may not be a Tech-savvy.

"Looks like your power supply, cpu and hard drive are all dead, I'll get you those new parts in no time" doesn't explain simple things well. Looks at you as if you're stupid when asking questions. I have an Asus G74sx laptop. It has the canadian french keyboard. I emailed CSR Computer Services and Repairs in kelowna, bc, canada about installing an english (US) keyboard. The owner ordered from his supplier and installed the keyboard. The problem is it was the SAME canadian french keyboard as the one already in the laptop. After paying for the keyboard, shipping, taxes and labor I brought it home. It was only after I was home that I noted the keyboard was the same Canadian French keyboard! I called within 30 minutes of leaving his shop. He said he couldn't do anything until the following monday to call his supplier for the english replacement keyboard. I didnt hear from him Monday". I emailed him monday night asking whats up. He has not responded to the email. It would appear he is leaving me high and dry with a keyboard he installed but wont return to his supplier so I can at least get my money back.

We called Bill at CSR computer service and repair for setting up our network for our small office for our home based business. He was professional and very knowledgeable and we are pleased with his work. He secured our network and we have had no trouble with it.. We recently had our older Imac go down on us and we took it to an Apple Store bur because it was a much older Imac , we were told that they do not work on any apple products greater than 5 years. Ours is a 2011 model and it powers on but the screen stays black. We took into CSR Computers and the owner Bill was able to determine that it was the graphics card. He provided us with a quote and it we was very reasonable and went ahead with the repairs. we had it back up and running in two days. Great service .

Please do not take your computer to him. Worst service. He will keep your computer and and when you ask him for it, he'll run from you. I had to call the cops on him and the cops notified me that it wasn't the first complaint against him. He has no idea what his doing? I have a letter from him from over a year ago (when i complained to better business bureau about his business conduct), stating that he will replace my computer but as i anticipated i haven't heard back from him.

i was having an issue with the wireless settings on my laptop and no matter what I tried i could not get it to connect. I called Bill at CSR and he came out and had it fixed in no time. He also worked on my husbands as well and got it going. Great work Bill

We had issues with our older IMAC which was very slow and lagging very often no matter what we we were doing but on top of that I was using an outdated Microsoft program and was convinced I deleted all of my financial files. We called Bill to our home and to my amazement he was able to restore my program and all my files. He also upgraded and serviced our Mac as well as fixed all our wireless connections. Seemed to be nice guy at first, but Bill is the worst repair guy in Kelowna Took over 3 month to diagnose dead mother board USELESS is the perfect word to describe his service Just send your computer to manufacturer and let them fix it, will save A LOT OF TIME AND $$$ AVOID this guy
