Ordered a bunch of components a week and a half ago and haven't received any shipping notification or delay notice. Order confirmation gave an estimated delivery of a week and their sit shows no delays for shipping. I have been trying to contact them for three days now though every channel they have and have gotten nobody. I've been sitting on phone for an hour after finally getting into a call queue instead of being hung up on and have been thrown between dialing through and being put back into queue. They've already charged me, so now they've had my money for a week and a half and I haven't even received a notification.

I bought a computer here back in November. The laptops screen had started to unhinge and I took it in for a repair. After pulling it out I was told "Oh we don't repair phsycial damage". Was offered no help despite having warrenty on the computer.

I was sad NCIX shut down but honestly after my first experience here I havent been happier. Amazing customer service the store looks 100 times better then ncix with all the products displayed properly. Me and my friend went there to build his pc and was helped by Jeffery. The experience couldn't have gone better! Jeffery was so helpful and knowledgable about everything. This is 100% the place I will always go to from now on for my pc needs.

As a freelance filmmaker and mograph/vfx artist, I am constantly running into time critical technical constraints and job blockers. 9 times out of 10, the wide variety of high-end components this location keeps in stock will immediately solve all my problems, and the incredibly knowledgeable staff is always able to consult and inform me of all the possibilities that I would normally be oblivious of. ***BEWARE OF GUY WHO HAS HANDS BEHIND HIS BACK with glasses***, I only had bad experiences and that's from a lanky guy with glasses that had a superiority complex and had some condescending undertones with our exchanges regarding my purchase. Not only that, when I asked where I could find it or if you can help me find it all he did was point in the direction and proceeded to walk away with his hands behind his back (superiority complex) you would think that someone who is in customer service industry would have you know customer service expertise. Ricky on the other hand was a great! He went out of his way and asked a few questions to narrow down what I needed, great customer service! Only reason for the 4 stars! Thank you

I went to this Canada Computers Burnaby location today for a Display Port Cable for my business. The store was well laid out, I found what I needed in a couple of minutes, and the staff were helpful and had me on my way in no time. Pricing was good too. I will be back and recommend this location.

Guy says "We have some but not what your looking for" and just cringes at me instead of helping me find what I AM looking for. Did not feel welcome and quietly left. They are very sales oriented. They will greet you at the door and shadow you as you walk around. I went in to purchase a monitor and the staff member didn't seem to know much technical knowledge about the products. Often referencing the the tag for specs. When asking for his opinion on 2 models, he chose one because it had red monitor legs. They helped me carry the product to my car and overall, they do feel like they care about your needs.

The man who opened the front initially said he was at full capacity and we would need to wait in the line which was perfectly reasonable and we agreed. He then continued to ask why we were there and we told him we were there to see the selection of headphones. He became very aggressive and refused service unless we could give him the exact model and brand of headphones we wanted to purchase. When we explained we were there to see the selection before we made a purchase he continued to refuse to let us wait in line to enter. With such aggressive and hostile service I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Use amazon or newegg instead.

I wanted to call ahead before driving the twenty minutes for a psu motherboard cable. After the first unanswered 5 calls I decided to call 13 more times to see if anyone would answer. No one answered at all, the best part is they don't have voice service setup for call backs. Also interesting is the lack of follow up to earlier ratings and opinions. Obviously they don't care and management is clueless. Oh well NCIX had better service and they were helpful how long before this company dispatches.

Very happy with the service I’ve received at this particular location. After using a humble Nehalem build for a decade, it was time to let go. Admittedly I can be a picky customer, but I’m very happy with the patience, expertise, and insights from many of the staff (and many dealt with me as my new build took over a month to spec out). My biggest props go to Lance, though, as I’m very lucky to have connected with him. He was extremely well-versed with my needs in VR development and media creation and ultimately I ended up with a build that I’m very happy with, both budget and performance wise. 11/10 would go to the Burnaby Canada Computers location for any PC needs.

You go as far as to say their business is Communist ran when their Canada-wide website says masks are required. Please be more considerate about the people around you and less selfish about yourself. Not a great time to check out products, since there is limitation on the number of people in store, the staff would expect you to already have something in mind to purchase or fix, before going in, otherwise, they press you to leave without letting you asking any questions on the items that you might be interested in. You should definitely make sure you've already had place the order online, or something you want to fix before going there. Might come back after pandemic. (P.S. The middle age guy with glasses really has attitude issue. Not only I have experienced that, but other negative reviews here as well. It could be nothing to do with pandemic, and be something else entirely.

The experience in the Metrotown location is not quite good. I was looking to buy a audio aux cable and trying to ask for help in comparison of different product, but the staff just gives a vague answer and did not even look between the two products. He also rush me to make a purchase even I have another problem that needs to be solved. Instead of helping me out, he just keep asking me to search google. I'm thinking why don't Canada Computers just put a PC or iPad at the storefront to let people google it, instead of hiring a staff that cannot help out customers. After that, it took me 2 minutes walk to a store next by call memory express, the people in ME is patient and professional, they had helped me solve my cable problems. I don't recommend other customers coming to CC, just take a minute walk to ME, which provide much better services.

Walked in hesitant because I was looking to build my first gaming pc, but Lance Wiffen the senior technician did an amazing job of walking me through the various parts I would be needing, all tailored towards my needs. He gave a genuine unbiased review on many options and allowed me to pick what I wanted, which made the experience personal and not pushy or sales driven. I also had the pleasure of meeting the district manager Sean Lee who ensured I was well taken care of and in the right hands when it came to my first pc build. Looks like they took over the location of the former (and bankrupt) NCIX. Service was friendly and prompt. So far a positive beginning for this new company taking the plunge into the higher rent computing/electronics retail market. Some of their pricing mirrors that of the former NCIX, being able to beat out prices of other stores in Metro Vancouver and even online entities such as Amazon.ca. I cannot speak for their online order and fulfillment.

So, I've been having power issues with my PC. My anxiety led me to believe there was an expensive problem with the PC it's self. I didn't purchase it here, but brought it in to to try remedy this problem. The tech started it up, and diagnosed the problem, or at least ruled out other problems. They didn't charge me for simply plugging in their software to do this. Which, for a student, was an amazing break. The biggest thing, is I didn't feel like an idiot when they were going through this process. Which, 90% of other computer stores will do. I'll definitely be taking the rest of my business here in the future.

Honestly, go walk across the street to Memory express. Canada computers is not only withholding GPU stock for 3000 series to only use for pre-built computers. There's no price matching and there's no returns or exchanges at this time. They blame covid-19 for everything bring final sale. This is the only electronic store that has everything as final sale. I'll even go as far and say best buy is better. Just avoid only go here if it's your last resort.

I'm not pleased with the way they're handling the current conditions. All items are final sale, and if you place an order for in-store pickup, you'll wait in line outside the store with everyone else (including those waiting to browse). Combine that with requiring a 50% deposit for waitlist items. I appreciate their occupancy limit and social distancing encouragement, but other stores are also managing this and offering much better services - curbside pickup, separate lines for in-store pickup, regular return policies.

Parking is a bit difficult to get to sometimes especially when it’s busy. Paid parking in front of the store but that’s not available 3-6PM Store is about the same as any other Canada computers. Much easier if you reserve online and then pick up in store

I've been going here since they replaced NCIX. And so far the service and selections are really a strong point. The staff greets me whenever I come into the store and asks if I need any help. And the way the have the store layed out is very nice. The have most of their products on display and they have a healthy amount of demo units layed out.

I spend around 2.6k CAD on a graphics card here and it's like they don't care about either the graphics card or my satisfaction. They've got the knowledge and skills but again, they literally don't resolve things unless I go there in person. I know it's covid and all but the ONLY way to have any contact with them is to actually go to the store (ironic). They don't respond to emails regularly and have been instructed to not pickup calls whatsoever. Probably the last time I'll ever buy anything from here. Maybe take a few things from Memex's books (like picking up calls).

I can't say more good things about this location. The staff is attentive and super patient. Ricky helped me out today when my mom and I went in for an asus zenbook. He was super knowledgable of the different products and patient with us. My mom and I knew nothing about computers lol. And he was super thorough and never made us feel like we were wasting his time although the questions we were asking were repetitive and if i was a sales, I would've been super annoyed with us. Not Ricky though. Ricky was professional, kind, funny, and knew our needs even when we didn't. He didn't push us to buy a more expensive model or anything like that. Just offered one's that suited our needs and made us feel cared for. Will recommend this location to anyone. Ask for Ricky! He is great!

The place to go for electronics and computer parts. They have good sales to look out for. I ended up getting a brand new 1070ti from them cheaper than anywhere else when the GPU prices were really high. Also their customer support is the best, they always answer your question and often times they are way better and more knowledgeable than calling the actual manufacturer's customer support

I went in that store yesterday to ask for the cost and time of swapping and cloning an NVMe M.2 SSD drive and I was told it could be done within hours the same day, for $89. Today I call to have it done, I get told four days ETA and an extra $20 charge for the swapping. So I ordered an enclosure on Amazon and will do all of it myself, for a fraction of the price and time. Please give the right information to customers when they come in your store.

I think with COVID the service has gone down hill. We waited patiently for over 30 mins outside their store. (not a problem I get it we all have to wait) only to get the employee that least wanted to be there and unhelpful in every way. We had to pry information out of him for their products.

Don't ever expect them to pick up the phone when you call. I've been trying to inquire about my pickup order which I still have gotten no confirmation email for after a long time and I can't even phone them to see if it's available. Now it shows Out of Stock, so I'm not going to waste my time going to the store. Deciding to buy a PC part at Canada Computers was a huge mistake that I will not be making again. Go to MemoryExpress instead if you want to actually receive your product. Update: It's been two weeks and still haven't heard anything about my order. Update #2: It's 3 weeks later now. Got an email today from Canada Computers saying they've now cancelled my order out of nowhere. Please do NOT shop here.

Good selection and knowledgeable staff, but absolutely horrible service. My boyfriend built his computer exclusively with them and Liam was very nice and helpful, made plenty of recommendations and scored a nice 4 grand sale for the store. A week later we had to return the headset and the customer service rep tested it and issued the refund. We headed into the rest of the store to look at other parts and the rest of the store staff gather at the customer service desk to talk about the returned headset. They mentioned it was garbage, everyone has problems with it, they know better than to waste money on it, etc. The great irony is that not one of them discouraged us from making the initial purchase, because... 4grand sale, and one of the girls had even initially commented that she has the headset and it works great. Oh and today, when purchasing a different headset she mentioned she has this one too! Does she just collect headsets for fun? Maybe don't recommend trash products to customers just to get a sale. That's a serious lack of integrity and we'll be taking our next build elsewhere.

I did place an order on Thursday and payed for it via Direct Transfer. Today is Monday and I haven't received any information about the shipment or tracking number. I called them today at 7am (their headoffices are in Toronto) and they told me they have not received my payment, or their system hasn't recorded it, the person at the phone told me to call them by 3 PM and I did, just to have me in the phone for 20+ minutes just trying to talk to somebody . Finally somebody just grabbed the phone but just unhung it and avoid the phone ring to bother them. I had to put a star although those guys doesn't deserve any.

Very positive experience with the store manager! I was looking for a business laptop and found the newest Zenbook fits my budget and needs. The store manager Cissy helped me choose the right configuration and follow up with me for the order (since it was heavily back-ordered). Not only she immediately notified me when the shipment came, but also making my life easier by changing the pick up location in the Vancouver store after knowing my business is located in downtown. I think a genuine personal touch is very important nowadays in the e-comm dominating era. Making orders online and having it shipped to you is convenient, but having real interactions with professionals will actually give you extra piece of mind when it comes to purchases like this.

Looks like it has reasonable selection, but that's the only good thing I can say. I wanted to open a keyboard package to try typing on it before buying it, as it was one of the few that one didn't have a display model out on the shelf. Was told I could buy it and "return it if it didn't work" because they didn't want to open the package. Not really sure what a physical store is for if you can't make sure the product works for you before you purchase it. I was likely going to buy it, but worst-case, they'd have gotten that missing display model. It's too bad. I'm in the market for a new PC. This would have gone a long way towards me buying it there. Instead I'll probably be getting both online. I certainly won't waste my time going back there again. Sorry gents.

Went in twice first time was before there grand opening was treated well and told I would save a lot of money if I came back the following week for there grand opening. When I came back for the opening I was treated even better and a staff member spent an hour of there shift helping me pick the best parts within my budget I am very satisfied with my experience at Canada Computers and will return when I need anything new.

Bought my ready go system from the Vancouver Broadway store almost a year ago... I stream and game frequently. My case fans were starting to get really loud. I called and asked the Burnaby location if the fans are covered under the 1 year warranty and it is! So I brought it in.. also mentioned that I’ve had a couple blue screens and freezes after the last time they replaced my RAM (earlier this year, another issue that they fixed with no questions.. one of my original RAM sticks was faulty, so they swapped it with new ones) The Tech was able to identify two fans with worn out bearings and replaced them.. and also replaced the radiator fan. Of course having all 3 front case fans replaced would’ve been ideal but this was still great service! He also adjusted my RAM settings in the bios to run at optimum settings. I’m kind of regretting not buying the extended warranty.. which includes free cleaning once a year. That peace of mind for another 2 years would be amazing haha.. oh well, I’ll definitely continue doing business with Canada Computers in the future.

London drugs had the same monitor $80 cheaper, and with their price protection guarantee, they had it $100 cheaper during boxing week which was refunded without question or issue. I will only ever buy PC parts here. The staff are more than helpful and it's so easy to replace defective parts. They will make sure your new parts work properly before swapping them. There are always sales too so you don't have to commit $1000 on a new GPU. They price match so if you see something cheaper on Amazon, it's still better to buy it here.

Great service, I bought a gamer laptop, and regret it later (I should have bought a work laptop). I was able to return it an get a full refund. I was very well treated and they didn't even charge for swap my custom SSD for the original HD. I also got a Chromecast and a case for my SSD. I recommend it for everybody.

Bought a Steelseries Arctis 7 from here after my headset died the night before. I walked in, asked where the headsets were and a very kind gentleman walked me over to them. I said thank you and he awkwardly kind of stood behind me waiting for me to choose. It was nice that he was there and ready to answer questions, actually even recommended the one I got. I think they may have issues with people stealing, or something similar. They are VERY friendly but it seemed very surveilled. I planned to look around after I picked my headset as I wanted to look into building a new PC but I felt too uncomfortable to do so. Again, very friendly staff but I think they're overprotective of people potentially stealing.

I normally do not go out of my way to write bad reviews but this store takes the cake. In an effort to buy a graphics card I called the store 6 times in one day trying to see if they had any in store, not a single answer. I gave up for the day. The next day I try calling a little earlier shortly after they opened and got an answer almost immediately. I asked if they had any 3060's, they said they had a 3060ti for $689, score. Since they can't hold it for me I rush down there, a 30 minute drive out of my way. I get there, it's on the shelf for said price, get through the entire transaction including making an account with them whole thing took probably more than 5 minutes. Final price pops up on screen... $1004.... what? Card was priced wrong it was actually $899, over $200 more than what was discussed on the phone and displayed in store. When questioned the employee offered no apology for the mistake and instead just said "oh that's an old price". That price being close to scalper prices we decided to not buy it and drove another 30 minutes back emptyhanded. Worst customer service ever, guy talked way too fast and I didn't understand a word he said and when he screwed up no apology was offered at all. Never going back, I recommend you go somewhere else.

Worst shopping experience ever, On December 11th, I purchased a CPU cooler at Canada computer; after the installation, the PC won't boot to win 10; I needed to press F12 and select the boot managers; therefore, I sent the PC to them for technical support take a look. On December 13th around 3:20 PM, before I went to the store, I gave them a call that I was coming in 10 mins; the two gentlemen who sat behind the services counter refused me to do the quick check due to poor space management? and only told me to leave the computer with them, and it will take two to three days for them to finger out why; from my point of view, this is not only lack of internal communication but also no service want to provide to the customer, all they care is the money but F your service. If you read the comments, please save yourself valuable time and money not going there; Memory Express will be a good alternative. Thanks

They have good prices and friendly staff but their customer service is lacking, after 9 days of waiting for a rebuild I'm finally told that they *started* working on my PC, after being told it will only take a week (due to black Friday builds) there was even a possibility my PC would be done maybe even as early as the Friday according to a CC rep! I receive no updates on my machine Friday, Saturday my inbox sat empty until I called, they had not started work yet but my PC was next in queue and would be ready that Sunday according to the technician, Sunday comes around and at 2:30 they call (3.5 hours before closing) apparently next queue to them means that its next to get moved around, because 2 "rush" orders came in and delayed my PC AGAIN, after spending upwards of $1500 here in one go and still not having my PC after 9 days of waiting I doubt I will return unless its to do with warranty. If you are paid to do a job, do the job or at least be polite and let the person know you are experiencing major delays, I would have been more than happy to wait had they at any time tried to contact me with some sort of apology or notice. 2/5

Summary: Actually 0/5 stars. Spent roughly $1600 at this store and was laughed at when I tried to return something. Will never use this store again. Use Amazon. Staff: On their own would be 2-3 stars, I've had everywhere from awful interactions where they legitimately laugh at me when I try to return something to mediocre. Most of them are nice enough but don't seem to have any product knowledge both in a technical sense and knowing about what is stocked at the store. Even workers at Best Buy have more knowledge. Staff (DURING COVID-19) The front door stays locked and you have to knock on it to be let in, I've had to wait anywhere from 5 seconds to 5 minutes before someone even notices, not even a "The store is full right now, we'll be right with you". All staff seem incredibly annoyed to be there and don't feel like doing their jobs, almost as if you are a burden to them and they just want you to leave. They also always seem reluctant to let you in the store, when I had asked about a certain mouse they didn't have in stock I had to persuade them to let me in to look at other ones. Product: Most of their products are from known brands (Razer, Logitech, etc) No issues with any products so far. Service: Legitimately terrible service, bordering on scam artists. Their return policy is non existent unless the product is defective. You could buy something walk out and come back in 30 seconds to return it and they'd tell you to get lost. Recommendations to The Store: If I were an outside contractor that they had hired to fix issues with the store I'd tell them to strip everything down and start again because their business is awful.

Wanting to build a new computer. WENT to the store on a Tuesday around noon, door was locked, sign saying you need to be let in by an employee. I waited 15 minutes and no one came. I phoned the next day. Wanted to put my name on the waiting list for a 3080 and a 5900X. They wanted me to come back in person and put down a 50% deposit. No word as to when stock would be back. Run away from this place. I wouldn't trust this place to hold $700 in good faith.

Service tech rep, Lance, is a down to earth fellow & most importantly, honest. He's extremely knowledgeable in hardware, Win, Linux & other skills. I have yet to seek the assistance of their other technical professional, Leo, who has assumed the responsibilities of their previous service tech named, Shae (spelling?). Shae, was also a wonderfully helpful person. So far, their tech savvy crew have been a fantastic bunch. To me, after sales service is the pinnacle to any retailers' success when many shoppers are engaging more into on-line purchases nowadays. I still do enjoy a walk-in store front whereby I can interact with sales reps for their know hows to make an informed decision. Their in store staff are always friendly to deal with. Although I have bought tonnes of products from them, I have never had to return an open item back even thought that I know of their 15% restocking fee. But as I had just found out today, they've done away with restocking fees!!! I nearly fell off of my chair when Ricky told me of it over the phone. Keep up the good work you guys & gals!

doesn't matter what time of day or what day of the week you call they WILL NOT answer their phone but don't expect to drive 20 minutes to go to the store to get the information you require as the staff is not interested in anything other than acting as a simple transaction counter. Bought something from them and then found the same item on sale at Newegg for $20 cheaper a few days later. Brought the receipt in but was told they don't match prices with "online stores" however the policy on their website says they do. They also do not offer price match after the purchase had been made. Don't waste your money here. They rather turn customers away for nothing than making people happy. I've since found Memory Express opened a location just at the plaza immediate East of Canada Computers, just a few steps away. They have better prices and much better price match/protection policies. My husband goes here and so I got his review. He is a IT business owner and often gets parts from Canada Computers. Its convenient that they bring the parts to you. You tell them what you want, they find it and bring it to you which takes a lot of annoyance out of shopping. The staff is pretty knowledgeable, prices are pretty good and they have a large selection. I get computer parts from them and I have yet to have a bad experience.

Greeted at the door by Gary, one of the staff at the Burnaby store on Kingsway. He answered all of my questions. Tested an adapter for my notebook before I bought it to make sure it was the right one. Had helpful suggestions when I was choosing other items. I'm not very computer literate, so I really appreciated not being left to wander the store trying to find what I needed. Store is clean and bright, and well stocked. Very good experience, and I will be recommending them to friends, family, and co-workers.

I have been a long time customer of NCIX, and then Canada Electronics. ...I spend 1-2 grand a year and have all of my computers built from there, and 100% of my monitors, chairs, and spare parts purchased there too. Today I walked in and despite being tested every other day, I was harassed and told to leave for not having a mask. ...despite there being NO mandate in BC. I have no plans of shopping there again and it will be referred to as Communist Emectronics from this day forward. Be well, it was a good run.

First off, this is the first review I have ever posted and I feel that I needed to post as one should give credit, where credit is due. I decided to invest in a gaming PC and I am very pleased with myself that I decided to get my parts from Canada Computers & Electronics. The store also price matched items that I found elsewhere. I had everything shipped to the Burnaby location as some parts that I desired were at various locations. The best part was that my parts were shipped within one day! Russell helped me out not only with ensuring that my order was correct, but also was a big help with all of my questions. Moreover, he even went out of his way to help with bringing my boxes to my vehicle - wonderful customer service! I would also like to add that although I found out after I opened my MSI motherboard, a screw had been missing from the package as the manufacturers must have forgotten to include it in. I emailed Russell and he sent me a reply (after hours!) suggesting what the next steps would be. He contacted the technician at Canada Computers, Leo, who was also very helpful, and I had a replacement screw the next day. Point is, I was not left in the dark after purchasing my equipment! Thank you again for your patience, great service, and honesty! I will definatley be returning in the future for further purchases and recommending this store to both family and friends. Cheers!

Staff are friendly but highly unprofessional. It's a decent place to pick up parts if you know exactly what you want. Otherwise, don't ever take their product recommendations. While I was browsing the store, I overheard one of the staff say that the only reason he was selling gigabyte products was because of some contest, otherwise he would never touch them with a ten foot pole. If your implying the products are trash, maybe don't recommend them to your customers?

Good prices and they match other stores but if you dont buy their extended warranty good luck getting warranties through them this goes for most electronic products and i mean the branded ones such as ASUS or Logitec. Plus side is many electronics are cheap so they sell you another one anyways I guess you get what you pay for.

I came in looking for a specific product, the staff didn't bother showing me where it is, just gave me a general direction. while I was still browsing, the store staff just gathered around the checkout counter and started trashtalking what sounds to me a less knowledgeable customer, and called them dumb for their choice of computer parts. There was also so much profanity between the staff it was unbelievable. I've never witnessed such unprofessionalism and I am never returning to this location.

This store had a MASSIVE pile of graphics cards today (RTX 3060 all the way to 3090's and 6xxx series Radeons) - I'm talking something very huge -that they chose to not scan into their inventory. Instead, they sold it direct to people who were lucky enough to be at the store, and their closed circle of friends who were notified by those customers. The website mentioned NONE of this inventory. Others who weren't informed about it including myself, and those tired of waiting months on backorders got nothing. This is an unfair practice that only benefits random lucky people, and those that live or work in the area. While I'm glad my friends got their cards, I'm also very disappointed . Call me a sore loser , I don't care- I'll be boycotting their store. I hope corporate takes a note of this practice.
