Very unprofessional and unreliable service. I contacted them on Friday to fix my computer.The young guy at the front desk assured me he will be able to fix my computer by tomorrow(Saturday). I didn't hear anything from them until Monday. So, I called them on Monday afternoon and they said we are working on my computer. I kept calling them so finally the main technician called me on Thursday telling me some drive has crashed my computer. I decided not to get my computer fixed from them because he quoted me over $400(new one was $500). So, i decided just to get my data back. They charged me over $270.00+taxes just for data backup from my hard drive. All the other computer shops does the same thing for less than $100.00. I was without computer(data) the whole week. They ripped me off.I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.

He had my external hard drive for 3 years. Paid money to him upfront (never do that if you expect to hear from him again). Minimal work done, broken promises, never returns a phone call. Oh and then he treats you like garbage when you go in after 3 years to get your property back that still isn't recovered. Poor customer service!

This man really knows what he's doing. I've seen people complain about things they know nothing about. He is a miracle worker, and everyone needs to appreciate that just a bit. I had a problem with a hard drive. He said he would try to fix it, with no promises. He did what he said, so no complaints. Truly a good mentor to have.

Apparently charges people exorbitant amounts of money last I heard, in the range of $600 - to install his own barely-modded LinuxMint 17.3 distro on people's machines, marketing it as "coded himself" and as an "upgrade over Windows that can't get viruses". Renames TOR Browser to make it look special lol. To anyone reading this review: You can get Linux free, but you probably don't need it. Also, LinuxMint 17.3 is EOL as of April 2019, so it's also outdated.

This so called business Computer Corner located in Lacombe Alberta has a store front but nothing else. They have no customer support they install unwanted products for ridiculous prices. I'm writing this review for my mother in law and her partner both 85 years of age seniors on fixed incomes. Jason charged them over $1000.00 to install a complicated program [Linux] on 2 lap tops and a desk top for cash no receipt given to them for the work performed.Once they realised it wasn't what they wanted Jason told them he would get the computers back to there original configurations this has been months ago. Broken promises to fix their problem over and over again he either doesn't care our doesn't have the skills to revert this mess he installed and no offer to give them a refund. This man has no Morals and is the worst kind of Rip Off Artist Preying on Seniors. -5 Stars

Ok, so I agree with all of you. The guy is dirt. You want to fix his wagon in a legal way? Sue him in Small Claims Court. The guy cheated my friend and he sued him. Did the owner want to go to court? No! HE settled to avoid problems. Check what it costs to sue. Cheap. Fast court dates and real action from Judges that do not like these sorts.

If you could rate 0 stars, I would. I'm writing this on behalf of my brother who brought his laptop into the store because his motherboard was acting up. He was promised it would be fixed relatively soon, keeping in mind that things would need to be ordered from China and such. It took the ALMOST AN ENTIRE YEAR to return his laptop to him and every time he called they made up ridiculous excuse after ridiculous excuse. They then confided all the lies as "someone stole all the parts of your computer and we didn't know how to tell you". Its become quite apparent to me that they personally stripped my brother's computer and game him a significantly downgraded version of his laptop, even better though is this downgraded version (apparently better, according to the owner) belonged to the owner previously. On top of all that, they installed a non-genuine copy of Windows 7. If you don't know a lot about computers, they will scam you like they did to my brother. It was such a headache he had to cut his losses with them and just suck it up. I'm not kidding, if you have computer troubles, you'd have better luck throwing it in the trash and buying a new one than bringing it to these guys. To sum it up, unprofessional, blatant liars, don't go here. If you contact me by email I will personally explain in detail what happened and re-assure you that this place is garbage.

great place, i brought my computer in that didnt work at all, just kept saying welcome, and jason got it fixed it now works great, and he even cleaned my computer, fan didnt work either cuz of dust and stuff in it or somthing. i recommend this place to other humans.

I took the owner a rather challenging hardware repair (a DC jack on a very thin ultra-book) and he was able to figure out a method to not only fix what was broken, but found a way to strengthen the original design. He was patient despite the fact that I was consistently asking how it was going and if he was finished. He communicated what was happening, took the time to show me where he was during the different stages of work and how the work was being done! I've been to multiple repair shops over the years and the owner here works very hard in a positive way and never once made me feel brushed off. This is a great little repair shop located in Lacombe and you will not be disappointed.

I left my laptop with this establishment on December 10th 2017, and continued to get excuses as to why it had not been processed and diagnosed all the way up to May 7th 2018. 90% of the phone calls I made were not picked up and the scheduled calls promised were, majority of the time, not followed through. The people are nice, but they just are not a professional enough establishment for me to refer to anyone.

I brought this guy a pretty tricky situation with my phone the other day he dropped what he was doing and ripped my phone apart fixed the hardware problem and reshaped a bent part and cleaned everything that needed cleaning in it in a very short time. I realize not every job goes like this. This goes does his best and I'm very satisfied with this place and will return. For all you people who write bad reviews I believe you have bad attitudes. We have been customers for 2 and a half years. Excellent Value, great to deal with, only computer store we will ever use. Sometimes they are a bit slow but that we are OK with that because they always go the extra mile. Why we will always deal with The Computer Corner, please read. We had our computer tower serviced at L****** D**** in Red Deer for viruses they charged us $500.00 dollars to clean our computer. When we got our computer back all our pictures and videos of our kids were gone, 12 years of pictures and videos. When we asked what happened to them they said they were infected and the hard drives had to be reformatted. We asked why they were not backed up first, they said that we did not request a back up service so they were not backed up. We asked how do we get them back and they said they offer a Data Recovery Service. So we asked about the service and they said they collect a $1200.00 dollar deposit and send it away to see if they can be retrieved or not, that someone would contact us either saying they got them back or that we had the option to pay more for them to keep trying. We were very upset and did not see why we had to pay for something they erased, we were heart broken. We will never deal with L****** D**** again. About 1 year later we had our laptop in at The Computer Corner and my husband mentioned our bad experience to Jason, and he asked us to bring in the old Tower that we had lost all our pictures on and he would see if he could retrieve it. He asked for a $240.00 deposit to see on his work which was much better then L****** D**** $1200.00 deposit. We did not hear from him for a while on it, but we checked in once in a while, after about 3 months he called us in and asked to look as see if he had found the right ones. I sat there with a knot in my stomach waiting for him to show us, when he started a video of my daughter when she was 6 yrs old, I started to cry. He recovered about 95% of all our lost videos and pictures. We would of gladly paid him $1200.00 for all his work but let's just say he did not charge us any where near that much. We have 5 computers in our house and the Computer Corner services them all. So thank you to Jason and your staff.

Couldn't fix my laptop and then stole parts from it. Now he won't return the missing parts. Sold me his ORION expensive, terrible program. Put it into an old piece of junk. Jason is absolutely the best computer guy I have ever met. He installed his Orien program on my computer, and now it is better than I could have ever imagined. I can watch all my TV shows, plus movies that are in theatres at the same time. Never have to pay to see another movie, ever. All the shows are Netflix, I get every season when they come out. Fantastic. I have everything everybody else has, except better. No viruses, thank you Jason, best business ever, and such a knowledgeable computer guy(Nerd), who explains everything to people who are computer illiterate. Thanks again, glad I stopped in

The Computer Corner claimed to have its own data recovery lab so I dropped off a hard drive that had failed over a year ago to see what they could get out of it. I hadn’t heard back from Jason in that time so decided to contact the store and see how they were making out. Left a few voicemails and emails, but no response. Also found that their voicemail is setup in such a way that you can only leave them messages during business hours… weird! But anyways, I wonder how many other customers they are doing this to? Judging from some of the reviews, probably quite a few! Their operation must be quite disorganized. And to top it off, I’ve heard from a few people around town that this guy installed pirated copies of Office or Windows on their systems. Like duh!
