Chip is an excellent technician. Very friendly and knowledgeable. He arrived promptly and had my dead laptop up and running in under an hour. Also had him look at a problem my dad was having with his laptop and he quickly diagnosed and solved that problem too. Also had cost-effective solutions to make the laptop perform better. Highly recommend Tech!Espresso and hope you get Chip as your tech! (I'm sure their other techs are great, too!????)

STAY AWAY!!! For a more detailed accounting, I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which Tech!Espresso is NOT a member of. Additionally, I will be pursuing legal action. The issues: 1) For a timely resolution, I opted to purchase a used computer from Tech!Espresso. After the fact, it became apparent that the subcontractor had grossly misrepresented the age of various components within the purchased computer. I was told the computer was approximately 2 years old; however, motherboard is 7 years old; processor is 8 years old, “new” video card is 8 years old, and 4 “new” RAM sticks range in age from 7-9 years old. 2) Additionally, after initial service was completed, multiple technical/software issues became apparent. These issues were never resolved despite sending repeated requests to both the owner and subcontractor. 3) In light of the above, I requested a refund; however, their supposed 60-day warranty has not been honoured. 4) Theft of some of my original computer parts – DISHONESTY! 5) Extremely poor and inadequate customer service. Tech!Espresso has not bothered to respond to my last four communications. They are blatantly ignoring me. 6) Conflicting communications and willingness to resolve issues between owner, subcontractor and employees. Over the years, I have posted many positive reviews for various companies, and this is my first negative review … and deservedly so!

I am not one to write reviews unless they are bad, but this is an exception! Tech Expresso deserves to be recognized here! They have an excellent team of techs that are ready to help over the phone, even though I was not a paying customer. The problem I was having was incredibly frustrating and I could not figure out the issue after searching the web and contacting many geeks. I brought my computer to the geek squad who assured me over the phone that they can fix it, but they managed to make things even worse. I ended up paying them quite a bit of money for nothing. On my way to leave a reflecting review there after this! When I contacted Tech Expresso to book a tech to come to my home, the guy (John i think) told me what was probably causing the problem and I fixed it within 10 minutes on the phone with him! I wanted to pay him for this but he refused. Wow! So, I booked a tech anyway as a token of my appreciation and they sent William to do a cleanup of my systems etc. He came the same day and did a virus sweep on 2 computers and also optimized my router and got my cell phone to print to my hp printer. My computers are so much faster and I am glad he came or I wouldnt have noticed how much faster theyre capable of going! He also removed some spyware I had no idea was there. Every company should operate like these guys! Outstanding service - above and beyond! Thank you William and John! Thank you Tech expresso!

I entrusted my S17 pro asics to these guys. They were un able to diagnose the issue and then returned the miners to me in pieces and tossed roughly into a box causing serious damage to the hashboards, The heatsinks were broken off destroying the asics under them. Ive reached out numerous times for a resolution to this with no response from the company. Very poor customer service. When i dropped off my parts they were properly packaged, and i had already done the diagnostics and told them what asics i wanted replaced but my instructions were ignored and the equipment mistreated. The service staff were very polite though during the repair process, and the no charge for no repair deal is accurate. This review is about the handling of my equipment post repair attempt and the lack of communication from management regarding damages , and not of the actual repair staff who were beyond friendly. ** I will update if a resolution is reached**

First-Off: please forget what you think you know about great customer service until you've had a taste of these guys. Secondly: I would like to apologize for the long winded review, but it is well deserved. I am an editor for a local Calgary news paper (for which I can not mention the name due to our policy) and was in the middle of a large story when my youngest one accidentally spilled wine over my brand new MacBook Pro. Not just a glass. Not just the wine. The full bottle had tipped over and fallen onto the machine. So adding to the damage caused by the spill, my poor Mac now has a dent in the casing beside the touchpad. Apple apparently does not repair liquid spills - they just replace the parts. The Apple "Genius" also told me that the service would not fall under their warranty as it was not a manufacturer defect, which I can obviously agree upon. The only option would be to have the mainboard and possibly the keyboard + trackpad replaced - totalling a $1200 repair. Ouch! That price tag is far too high considering that I had just forked out $2500 for this machine a few days ago. The alternative was to seek out an affordable Apple repair place in Calgary. The data on my Mac is sensitive due to the nature of my work so I had a hard time searching the web for a liquid damage repair company that would come to my home for the repair. I couldn't just leave it in a shop with snoopy techs to read my files. Tech Espresso was the third place I called as no one else would do this for me onsite within my home. They do not normally do this at home either, but offer a free pick-up and return with the service. After explaining my situation, they were more than happy to do it at home for me. They did mention though, that it is an extensive process and they would have to bill by the hour rather than apply their typical flat-rate which is done with a 24 hour turnaround over night. They also mentioned that if they can't repair it, it's free. I was of course fine with that. The first pleasant surprise was that the owner Bjorn, came out personally to do this for me as his “crew” was booked out for the day. When he got here (40 minutes after my initial call) he proceeded to dismantle my computer and mix together a cleaning solution which I believe consisted of pharmaceutical alcohol, hydrogen peroxide and something else I could not determine. I felt like a student in science class as the professor conjured up his potion. He then submerged the entire mainboard, including the permanently fixated solid state hard drive, in the solution. My teeth only then unclenched when he told me not to worry. "We do this everyday with multiple computers". Somehow it still felt unbearable for me to watch my files take a dip into the highly toxic liquid but I couldn't look away. I was amazed at how thoroughly he cleaned the board with rubber gloves and a toothbrush. We were going into the third hour. He had cleaned, dried, re-assembled the machine and pressed the power button. Nothing happened and I started to worry, when it suddenly sprang to life. Everything was as it was (minus the small dent from the wine bottle) and I was stunned. He was amazingly honest, respectful and an absolute joy to have in my home. He treated me with phenomenal respect and did his work very professionally. He also charged me only the flat-rate after-all of $199 and not for the actual time he was here effectively saving me over $1000 compared to Apple! This was the very best experience I have ever had with any service company, period. I absolutely love these guys and will recommend them to anyone, hands down! Thanks again Bjorn! Just brilliant!

First of all, the chat feature on the website is very good. I spoke to a very helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable person who answered all my questions and helped me find what kind of service I needed. I could book an appointment very easily and Techesspresso sends someone to any address you provide or you can drop your tech off. Marwan was the techie assigned to my case, data retrieval from a broken down, old laptop. He was not only very helpful but also went the extra mile. He reformatted the files for my new OS laptop without any charge and was very responsive to my questions and messages. I would definitely recommend them for any technology issue that involves hardware and will keep them in mind for any future issue.

I've used this company twice in the last few months, once to replace a worn-out fan and then just this week to replace a crashed hard drive. The techs were young - not a bad thing in this industry - but were both very confident in their knowledge and able to explain my hardware issues and various software solutions. Loved the convenience of having them work in my home. I've had negative interactions with drop-off repair places such as Future Shop or London Drugs in the past, where my machine went to PC jail for a week, or more, and the techs showed zero empathy. This was not the case with Tech!Espresso and I really got the sense they were doing everything in their power to safeguard my data and equipment. Zero hard sell tactics. Extremely pleased with the service I got. Only possible negative thing I could say was the communication re: arrival times could be better, but I naturally understand these guys drive all around the city and spend a great deal of time talking to their clients. So if that's the worst thing I can say, probably pretty understandable - I felt like a valued customer and not just their next sale. Will use again in future.

Thanks to Kris of Tech!Espresso for a fine job of repairing my Lenovo laptop. I had spilled liquid into the keyboard and corroded the motherboard, preventing the unit from powering on. Kris showed up on time, did the repair sooner than promised, then re-delivered the device back to my house all within the same day. I have NEVER experienced service of this high quality in DECADES of having various electronic devices diagnosed and repaired. Prior to calling Tech!Espresso I took the laptop to a "certified" Lenovo repair center called "Gam Tech". They kept my laptop for 14 days. I placed multiple calls to them, and got no response. Eventually I just went to their shop where the receptionist admitted they had never opened the laptop. She handed me a sticky note with a couple of prices for replacement motherboards. Thankfully they didn't charge me for this non-service. But compare that to Tech!Espresso who did the RIGHT thing, promptly and for a reasonable price. Saved me the several hundred dollars by avoiding the price of a new motherboard or replacement laptop.

The problem with my iMac was that it would run for awhile and then turn off. Dust had built up inside. The technician came and repaired the computer at their shop then returned it, but the next day the screen fell off and hit the floor thereby smashing. It seems that they used "old" tape to re-attach the monitor. The bottom line is that I started with an iMac that worked, though overheated after while, and now I have no iMac that runs at all. Please note that we did not crack the computer screen. We called Tech Espresso to come check our computer 6 months ago as it is slow. I am sure your company has the name of the employee that provided the service for us. When we called for service our mac computer was working, the only problem we have is that the fan is not working well and so it makes a weird noise and it gets hot. The tech espresso employee took the computer to his office to fix it. We were told that our mac computer just needs cleaning. He returned our mac computer , and we are glad that it is working. We Paid him for the service provided. But two days after he fixed the computer, the screen fell on the floor, only the screen.The tech espresso employee did not do his job well putting the screen back after cleaning the mac computer. We are only glad that our kids are not in front of the computer when it happened, otherwise your company would have a bigger problem. We called the tech espresso company that day and the guy who came to fix our computer showed up. We told him that the screen fell off , we showed him the broken screen and the big dent on the floor where it fell. He told us he will fix it for us for free. He just have to find a screen to replace the one that was broken. A day passed and he didn't show up or call. And so we called after two days. We were told , it takes two weeks for the screen to arrive and so we waited . TWO weeks later , no show, no call. We called tech espresso several times and your company never returned our call. Do not tell us that we broke our computer screen. It was the negligence of your employee that did it. Had he done a due deligence in putting the screen back , it would not have fallen on the floor. Six months later, we hear from your company , you, at tech espresso asking us if we want your service to fix our computer. Of course we say we do, because tech espresso still owe us a sevice to provide a new screen for our computer and make sure the computer is working as it was before. Your employee William showed up today, we are not home but my sister is. At our surprise he tried to put back the same screen that was broken from the fall, ofcourse it will not work. He demanded to be paid, and we refuse. He tried to take our mac computer away, but.my sister stood her ground. He was mad. What are we paying for? We are paying him for putting back the screen that is already broken which tech espresso people already knows? For a business to grow and be successful - provide the best quality service. It comes a long way....referrals can happen, but I guess you are not looking for repeat clientele.

I'm very happy with the experience. The website is clear, responsive, simple booking process with appointments for as soon as the next day. I got notifications and reminders. The price on the website is firm ($88/hr +GST), no upselling (I guess if you need to buy some replacement parts that would be extra). The technician Mihai was right on time, very polite and knowledgeable. He fixed my problem with great diligence. Payments are through credit card and their Square app. I would definitely use their services again. Highly recommended!

Had William install a new hard drive on my Mac a couple of years ago. Very pleased with his in home response then, so called on him again as I was unable to print. NOT GOOD AT ALL!! I'm out $210.00 and still don't have a working cmputer. It failed the next day. Cannot get common decency or timely concern for follow up. I live rurally and am handicapped by poor health (stroke and heart attack) and cannot carry my computer to a repair service company..Follow up calls not readily answered and contrary to advertising I was going to be charged again if a new appointment was made, as "My computer was running when they left and I would now have to pay for a new service call." As of two days later I have no useable computer and cannot go on line to pay my bill's or access the internet. I am 49 now and have a very basic knowledge of how to use a computer and as I stated earlier some health issues to further complicate the situation. Their lack of empathy and single mindedness to adherr to the profit margin no matter what, makes this company a very hardnosed scroogelike company to do business with.. I'm sure you will be pleased with their work when they are successful. But beware of possible poor follow up when problems arise. They have the money and you only have a promise on followup. They may seem you not worth the effort. After all, they have your money for the original call and deem you not worth the effort and just ignore you. It's a poor way to do business, and a hell of a way to treat a new customer notwithstanding someone with physical handicaps also. Shame on you! . Summary - Do not use this company. You must have complete faith only when hiring them. and money is collected immediately, so the follow up may not exist. I was in business once and we did not treat our customers this way. Or use at your own risk!

I was walked through the process and told that there is a 50/50 chance of life, and also given the assurance that if it can't be fixed, there would be no charge. While they weren't able to revive my liquid damaged laptop, service was excellent; professional, prompt, fair, and thorough. The technician kept in touch, gave me the details, provided photos, and even offered next-step advice. No charge, so I can use that money toward the funeral.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! How refreshing to find a place that provides excellent service! I am glad to have found this place after a different company charged me for a non-fix. I booked a tech that came to my home on the same day and repaired my computer in about an hour and a half. They only charged me for 1 hour even though he was here for almost 2. Extremely disappointed: diagnostics of my laptop took 1.5 hrs as the tech guy took forever even to remove the lid from the laptop. Once it was finally established that the motherboard was faulty, I requested to order the part and replace it. I emphasized the repair was urgent. From here starts a saga of poor and inadequate customer service: yes the part was ordered, no the part wasn't ordered, actually the part was ordered but the order could not be fulfilled, now the part can be reordered but will cost you $100 more, OK it has been reordered and it's coming next week, well actually it's not coming as we cancelled this order for no reason. The company never considered contacting me with updates on order delays - all the follow up was my initiative. No alternative solutions were offered, no support - nothing whatsoever. I lost two weeks on waiting and still didn't get my laptop repaired. They didn't even offer to take the data off the hard disk so it could be used on a different laptop. Needless to say, this company has lost my business forever.

My technician, Jack, arrived on time and tried his best to restore my computer to gaming condition. My problems couldn't quite get resolved, but true to their word, I wasn't charged because my issues persisted. Fair is fair. It was a nice change to having to drop off the computer for about a week while it waits in line to be worked on, and being charged just for diagnosis. I would recommend this service to friends and family.

These guys should be called Tech Excellento and wear superman capes! These are some serious professionals that truly care about their customers and getting things working instead of cash-grab-geeks just wanting to make a buck. I have had 4 different companies here that only managed to make my computer issues worse. 3 of which had the galls to charge me for their time and "effort" while not being able to fix anything. I won't mention their names here, but I have reviewed them accordingly on their respective listings. It only took a 15 minute phone call to Tech!Espresso and the issue was resolved. They didn't need to come to my home, nor did they charge me for the service! This is simply amazing! They talked me through a few quick steps in reseting my Macs memory cache or RAM or something - I actually don't know what I did exactly but it involved restarting the iMac while holding some keys down (2 different methods) and rebooting it a couple times and POW! Like magic, everything works again. I can't believe I payed a total of $270 to 3 different companies who just worsened things while these guys charged me nothing. I offered to pay but they refused. This place needs some serious recognition and I will recommend them to everyone I know. Thanks a million guys - you made my day :)

I live just outside of the Calgary city limits by about 10kms. Apparently there are no travel fees inside of Calgary at all, but I was told today when I called that they would need to charge a travel fee of $1/ km from Calgary *City Centre* to my house, nearly 50kms. I am surprised that they wouldn’t charge a kilometer rate starting from the city limits, where they offer free travel, and not add nearly 40kms unnecessarily. They seem nice and knowledgeable enough, so my review is being written in hopes that they change this policy.

Kelly was super! He explained each step of his process to trouble shoot my "miscro-soft" blue screen error. Turns out my 'after market' protection I had paid good money for had let in many programs and corrupt items. He removed it and explained that the microsoft protection was the best and was free. He was also helpful in explaining that I didn't really need a new computer but also provided great advice on what to look for in a newer model. So far I have told everyone I know about the awesome service I received.

Great service from Kris! Replaced a hard drive on one computer, installed passport on two computers and re-installed a stubborn printer on my home wifi. Very helpful in answering questions. And a pleasant surprise was the bill - I was only charged for replacing the hard drive and with the online booking discount, that even came in under what was quoted. I will certainly use them again.

William was excellent. I visited the Bell store 3 times (my PC and cell phone wouldn't sync) and was told to buy a new PC and cell phone. Shaw wasn't any better - said the problem wasn't them but Bell. William came and within 20 minutes, all my problems were solved, including old ones that I won't mention here. Recommend highly and will use again.

Very terrible service!!! Highly advise anyone to use any other company in Calgary to go to for repairs. I tired for about 2 months to get my laptop fixed, they didn't order the correct parts. They then kept putting my appointment off. They would contact me the night before my appointment to reschedule they did this 4 times. Until then they eventually stopped communicating with me didn't show up for the appointment never contacted me about missing my appointment or anything, no email or call about rescheduling just simply forgot about me as a client. I tried contacting them about them not even acknowledging my appointment or showing up. I even asked if they forgot about me as a client. I got no reply nothing. Do not use this company they will just keep pushing your appointment back and not come. They do not care or respect their clients as people or customers. bad communication within the company about parts and service as well. If I would have known they would drag me along like this for 2 months and they just stop talking to me I would have never gave this company a tired and gone with someone else I have to do anyways now. very displeased with them. I never write reviews.\ update: Over a month later they reply to my review and blame it on covid-19. Not even reading my review and complaints on my experience with their company. Wasn't about a delayed part...... was about way more then that. still truly a terrible company. Highly recommend going elsewhere to get your laptop or any electronics fixed.

These guys advertise for Spruce Grove Alberta... I tried using them and it is a long distance call for starters, so I tried using their online chat which I waited over 25 minutes before losing my patience and making a long distance phone call... Phoning them was a further disappointment because they also tell me they actually have no service in Spruce Grove which they are blatantly advertising for... Hence the poor review... Terrible company.

Brilliant service and excellent technician! In my opinion, this company is perfect. I was able to book an appointment online (Which saved me $20) and have them come to my home office within a couple hours. The technician was able to resolve multiple problems with my computer, Internet connection and printer within a single hour. They are straight to the point with zero hard-sell tactics. Excellent! I will definitely use them from now on for all my computer needs.

I had Kris come to fix my computer. He is very knowledgeable and did a great job. It would have been cheaper if I had a faster internet connection. While waiting for a program to download I told him about my nightmare story of how Nerds on site broke my $1800 computer. He had a look at it and fixed it too. Nerds told me it was unfixable . I'm very happy to have this expensive computer working again. I will definitely use these guys again for any problems I encounter in the future.

It only took him 1 hour to remove viruses, install better protection for free, optimize my computer, set up my iPad, get my printer working again and to give me many helpful tips. I would highly recommend you look elsewhere for any tech repair. Long story short, I had a technician in my home to replace the casing on my laptop screen which is a valuable piece of our day to day operations. The tech himself was fine but realized quickly after taking the laptop apart that the job was much larger than he anticipated and would take a lot of time and money to do. Upon learning that information we decided it was best to put it back together and we could try at another point when time was not of the essence. I settled up with him for his time and effort and he was on his way. I went back down to use this laptop and the second I opened it, the screen shattered most of the way across from the top right corner. I had reached out to tell someone at Tech!Expresso this news and was told they would look into it. That was a month ago. I have followed up several times since only to be told someone will reach out to me tomorrow, etc... The concept is great- having a tech coming to you- but perhaps there is a company whose execution and customer service will better suit your needs.

GREAT COMPUTER REPAIR SERVICE! They came out to my home during the pandemic and were very professional. The tech was sanitized and very cautious with respecting the social distancing measures. We felt very well taken care of while he repaired our computer which was not able to start. He also fixed a problem we've had for years in streaming movies to our smart-tv. It was less expensive than expected and we are so happy to have found them. Definitely recommended!

Our computer wouldn’t turn on unless you did a hard restart, eventually even that didn’t work, which caused me to phone Tech!Espresso. Our technician was great. Very knowledgeable and helpful. He suggested a new hard drive. Two months later we were having the same problem. I phoned Tech!Espresso and was told by Jon that the warranty is only valid for 1 month and that even if the computer was misdiagnosed to need a new hard drive we’ll be looking at an entirely new repair/charge to fix the computer again. I’m disappointed we paid for a new hard drive unnecessarily, and that the warranty on these services is so short. Our tech was great, the business model leaves a little to be desired.

They managed to squeeze me in just in time. Anyway, he was careful with my expensive machine and helped diagnose the issue. Unfortunately it required me to replace a motherboard. My laptop would not charge - they assured me that they would have it back to me in 3-5 days. Upon returning the laptop, they said the problem was the charger and told me to purchase a new one - I was not convinced as the charger worked fine in my husband's laptop which required the same charger and expressed this concern to them - they said no, it was the charger. I order a $60 charger and it did not charge my laptop. I then contact them and they again take my laptop to do more work. After almost a month, I have a laptop that is in worse condition that when they took it. It still won't charge and I have now paid them almost $300 for unrelated work. In the end it was decided that they would put the laptop back to the same condition as when they got it and refund my money as they could not fix it. A few days after they returned my laptop "in the condition it was given to them in", it has completely crashed and is not longer functioning.

I have been to many repair shops and also have had many techs come to my home and have always had sub-par service until I discovered these guys. I have used them 6 times now over the last 2 years or so, and they have sent me 3 different techs in total. All of them were extremely knowledgeable and repaired my issues in minimal time. It always seems to cost $78 even though they repaired multiple problems on each occasion. They have always been very fair and helped me learn how to fix some things on my own, which no other company offered to do. If youre looking for a good trustworthy place, this is the one! You dont need to leave your computer anywhere - they fix everything right in front of you. Awesome service and very appreciated service!
