Competent service, quick turnover, and quick response. My laptop had a problem with a power switch being disconnected internally and not charging when plugged in. It was fixed within 2 days, where in between, he had responded to calls and inquiries and provided a reliable estimate of the repair completion time. The cost billed for the repair was ~$230 after tax, which I was okay with given the urgent need for the laptop and the very responsive, quick, and competent service. Some things that might be helpful to others about this business: -Best to call the number before going to the address -Ray offers free diagnostics, but indicated that upon opening it up, and cleaning it, if that fixes the computer problem, then it is a $90 charge. -He'll call you when he diagnoses the problem, and then provides a price for repair, from which you can then decide whether or not to proceed.

I spilled water on my 4 year old macbook last Thursday. Knowing time was critical and no Apple appointments were open right away, I called 3 places that either wouldn't do water damage or wouldn't do apple. After seeing the good reviews here, I called Ray. He was able to see me right away and drain the water out. Price upfront for diagnostic, cleaning of water, washing with alcohol and follow up. Next day it was ready for pick up. He was able to get it turned on and all the keys worked, but the battery symbol was an X. He suggested before buying a new battery, I take it home and run it for a few days, see if anything is wrong, which made sense. I rushed home to get a backup of things, but couldn't connect to wifi and while moving things over to a flash drive, the whole thing shut off with the file and question mark symbol. I booked with Apple for a diagnostic to get a second opinion since they are free. They plugged it to en Ethernet cable, did their software check, and without opening is up told me my battery was good, but I needed a new logic board and top case which would cost $1000 + whatever else they found as they don't do partial repairs. I was super upset and went home to think because I just...don't have that money and that would mean getting a new computer which is also super expensive. Ray sent me a follow up text asking how the laptop was, which I thought was really considerate. I let him know Apple's results and he offered to look at it again, no charge, to see why they thought the Logic Board was busted. Left my computer with him for another day, then got a message that my computer was good to go. Arrived to find it worked perfectly!! The battery charges, the wifi works, and I was able to spend a full day studying and watching shows without it overheating. I honestly have no idea what Ray did or how he did it. He won't tell and it's driving my engineer hubs bonkers, but we are forbidden from looking in the case. Ray has a huge sense of humour, so I'm not sure if that last bit was true or him poking fun, but this review was written on my laptop using wifi on battery, so I'm not willing to risk opening Pandora's box to find out. I consider myself very lucky the damage wasn't worse, that Ray was able to get my computer started again, then that he was able to get it back to 100% functioning again. No $1000 logic board, no weeks of waiting. So yeah, 5 stars and I've already recommended to friends.

Laptop died 17 days out of warranty. Called up Ray. Very casual. Just said let me know when you're 30 minutes out. I expected to drop it off but he got to work right then and there. Spent a good 25 minutes doing diagnostics and answering my questions. Unfortunately it was the motherboard. He said he could fix but it wouldn't be worth it cost wise. I was at a loss of what to do so he jumped on Best Buy's website on his computer and he showed me a reasonable cost laptop and said it would be sufficient for what I need. He even sent me the link. I expected him to charge me for his time but he did not. He knows what he is doing and is very reasonable. I'd rec'd him to any family and friends.

Very quick to determine my problem and give a quote. Once the replacement part arrived, the repair was done the next day. Ran into a small problem afterward, and they helped me fix it that same day. Very friendly and I appreciated how they explained what was done. Only complaints would be a small added cost for double sided tape, and that things don't seem to be sitting quite right since they glued it back together, but both those issues came up since my laptop only uses glue and no screws.

I spilled an entire cup of coffee with cream and sugar on my brand new laptop. Tech4service was the only place open on Sunday morning (thank goodness!) and Ray worked incredibly fast to save my laptop! My laptop is in working condition and it’s all thanks to Ray. All of the keys on the keyboard and external outputs work, there is no other damage other than the touchpad slightly! Without Ray my laptop would’ve been toast. Can’t thank you enough Ray!

The 5 star rating is well deserved. Students, save yourself LOTS of money and heartache! If you spilled water/liquid on your macbook, don't bother going to Apple ever: go to Tech4service. Here is my experience: Apple: book Genius bar appointment, commute to West Ed/Southgate, wait in a crowded store for the genius bar, get told stuff you already know (backups, voided warranty, etc.) Be told that you got water on the logic board and therefore they will not just replace the battery, but keyboard and logic board (even if both are fine and you only want the battery). The bill is eight hundred: they tell you to buy a new laptop. Tech4service with Ray: you call/email him with the issue, you drop it off, wait two days or so for him to fix it, and then pick it up. For LESS than two hundred! He is very knowledgeable, professional, and will take care of your laptop! My battery used to die every five minutes (after a 100% charge, even when plugged in.) It's been nearly a week and my new battery has saved me the $2000+ I would have spent on a new laptop. I feel like I have a brand-new, fresh-out-of-the-box machine. Great service, no worries. I will recommend Ray to all my spill-prone friends in the future! :)

I've had overheating issue with my laptop ever since it was fairly new. Thinking it was just a design flaw, I tried to deal with it with many methods, but it was getting worse to the point it would shut down itself playing lowest settings on some games. I could not open it myself as it would void the warranty on it, so I contacted the manufacturer to get help but to no avail and warranty expired. So I decided to bring my laptop to Ray just to get some cleaning and put a brand new thermal paste on it without much expectation. He had the same idea too and told me that he would see to it. When I went back to get it, he showed me before/after pictures, and I could see lot of care went in for something as simple as reapplying thermal paste, nice coat everywhere covering everything and dust gone. At the end hes given me discount to what he originally said it was going to cost, while also resetting my OS which would've taken more time. Result is fantastic, same low setup of a game running at 65 C is now no more than 45 C at place where more CPU is required. I can finally start treating this laptop like a gaming laptop and play on higher settings. I should've brought this in way sooner. Thanks Ray!

Ray picked up the phone immediately on a weekend, took my cpu in within the hour and had my desktop up and running right away. Ray the life-saver! Normally when you take a device...a car... you get the idea, into a shop to have your minor issue solved; you cringe at the add-ons and lures into spending and fixing more than you had anticipated. Not with Ray. Ray not only took the time to listen over the phone to the issue, but could exactly finish my sentences as he is that knowledgeable and experienced. With a no stress and no fuss attitude as he explained that he would offer me a few solutions based on my needs, budget and priorities: I was able to finish my evening and then skip over to his shop to see what sort of hole I was in. Ray did his magic on his diagnostic and turned out that it was my fingers and lack of computer tuning knowledge that caused the issues. He explained with full detail what I had done, answering questions over and over if needed and showed me exactly what to do if ever in the same situation again. With a friendly smile and calm demeanor the entire time and sent me on my way so elated that my issues were nothing but a created one. Now most would have secretly hid that tid-bit and made for an expensive and somber evening end for any client. But not Ray. Go see Ray for ALL your device needs and tell your friends as he truly is the best and deserves the beautiful reputation he has created for himself. Thank you Ray!!!

Ray is truly an amazing guy. I cannot thank him enough for helping me out. I am based in a very remote location and knew I was visiting Edmonton for only a few days. My laptop is very uncommon, so parts and opening it up is very difficult. Ray worked extremely hard to make sure the work was done, but also checked it over to ensure the repair to the charge port was working. His only problem is he is way too modest over his work. Laptop would not boot up, would try to but kept restarting. Took it to Ray and he found the hard drive was fried. He managed to extract all the files and pictures from it to the new hard drive. Great prices and communication through text, phone and email. Would recommend and will return for any future issues.

When my laptop wouldn’t start up, I took it to BestBuy (where I bought it) who told me that the motherboard was shot and was no longer available. It could not be fixed and I’d need a new laptop. My toddler bumped my laptop and it fell right on the charging port while plugged in. After a few days of a loose charging port, it stopped charging entirely. I knew it either needed to be soldered back or replaced. After contacting and being turned away by multiple big name businesses about my Huawei Matebook laptop, I reached out to Tech4Servive Ltd. Many businesses had told me that they were unable to replace the usb-c charging port on my laptop because it is "a newer model" and they did "not have the parts" nor did their supplier. Ray offered to take a look and diagnose the situation for free and provided me a solution and quote on the spot. In less than 5 minutes, he showed me the issue, provided me options and gave me his honest suggestion. He gave me an estimate as to when I could expect my laptop to be ready, and reached out 2 days later to let me know it was good to go. He showed me that the piece was fixed and working correctly with and without the charger, and politely suggested that I open up a word document to ensure that the keyboard was working as sometimes things don't reconnect completely when working on internal hardware issues. Tech4Service provides reliable, knowledgeable, and confident service and I cant imagine feeling as comfortable going anywhere else for trusted service in the future.

If you have any computer or network needs, I highly recommend this company. My laptop needed to be repaired and I went to a few repair shops who had told me it wasn't worth fixing because it would cost too much or that they were afraid to cause more damage. I went to Ray and with no hesitation he said he'll get it done. Next day it was done and his service charge was beyond reasonable.
