I have an All-in-One HP and it stop working properly in less than a year... it was working so slow and getting bloked everytime i was trying to use internet or spotfy. I called two different places and they didn’t listen to my problem and they just told me to bring my computer Into the store but I called Dr Geek and he knew of what i was talking about and came to pick up my computer the same day i called and in less than two days he called me to drop it off as new. When my company computer slowed down to a crawl and I could not work at all or even connect to the internet, I thought I'd have to lug my desktop computer down to someplace that fixes computers and leave it for a day to have them figure out what was wrong and fix it. Not only would I lose another day of work output but I would have to reconnect all of my monitors, printers and other peripherals when I got it back. Using another computer, I searched for computer repair places in Sherwood Park and three came up. Dr Geek was the first of the three and his location was closest to me so I gave him a call. I got Youssef on the phone immediately and he listened to my problem even though he was with another client. When he said he would be at my location in 1.5 hours I was so happy and relieved. Not only was he available almost immediately, I would not have to unplug and reconnect anything! I was amazed that he would make a 'house call' and so quickly. What excellent customer service! Once Youssef arrived, he got right to work with his magic disc and years of experience and within minutes my computer was working! And the more he worked on my computer the faster it ran! Once Youssef was done my computer was faster than it had been for a long time! Not only was I back in business in a short time, I was working faster than ever. Youssef is professional, courteous and personable and I would recommend his services to anyone who has computer problems. I plan to keep Dr. Geek's number handy for more 'house calls' in the future for my wife's business computer and to further fine tune my own computer. After the demise of the old Geeks on Whyte who sold their business to the people who have already soiled the brand extremely badly, Dr Geek is practically the only decent option left, especially if you are a Mac owner. However, I suspect that Windows machines are Youssef's (Youssef is his name) bread and butter. I have several computers at home, which I use for a variety of different tasks: my Macs are used to create music and for sound and graphic design. I use my Windows machines (both of them Lenovos) for audio and graphic support tasks, as some of the plug-ins I use are Windows-only, and for creative writing. Beautiful setup, that. Youssef is always available at a very short notice, if not he will always respond, and his skills as well as work ethic are second to none. Simply put, he is the ultimate pro of your dreams. Personally likeable, he does a tremendous job no matter what and no matter which one it is, be it a complex system configuring task, or, a simple - sometimes not so simple - hard drive replacement (I buy cheaper machines with regular hard drives, then I order SSDs, usually from Newegg.ca or Memory Express, and then have the SSDs substituted for the original HDs. It is still cheaper and the machines work like a charm). It is largely due to Youssef that I feel comfortable using my machines. As I am used to say, I would recommend him even to my worst enemies, he is that good.

Highly recommend Youssef. We were hacked with the dreaded bitcoin encryption ransomware. Unfortunately we did not have an external backup either. After calling a few people to come and have a look everyone told us (inc. Youssef) our chances were slim to none of getting our stuff back. Only Youssef offered to try and came down to our shop at 8pm on a Tuesday. 4hrs later we had a glimmer of hope. Even though we weren't up and running normally for 2 weeks his 20+ hrs he dedicated to ensure we would be was impeccable and we couldn't be happier with his services. I wish I can give 10 stars!! I took my older iMac to Apple store and they basically wanted me to buy a new one. I decided to give these guys a call. We booked an appointment and Youssef came to my house to check my iMac. He said the hard drive was failing and offered to replace the drive and try to recover my data. I called Dr Geek late at night as my computer crashed while working on a project. Windows 10 decided to do an update and rebooted the computer. But for some reason it would not load up. It just gave me a black screen. I was surprised he answered the phone and booked me up first thing in the morning. He came early morning and was able to revert the update. Based on its age I was very nearly going to toss it into a closet and buy a new one but after a little research and reading other reviews I decided I would give Dr. Geek a shot. I called Youssef and was able to drop it off the following morning. It only took a couple of days for him to fix it and I received a number of updates as he was working on it. When I got it back later in the week it worked perfectly, as a matter of fact it was much faster and more responsive than when it was new. And all for a very reasonable cost! I would definitely recommend Dr. Geek computer, service was very fast, the computer worked better than new and, most of all, Youssef saved me the cost of a new laptop.

I haphazardly purchased a powerful computer tower that was saturated in cigarette smoke smell. Sadly, I thought for sure I would likely have to throw it away or part it out etc. It was a REALLY strong odour that would get worse the longer the computer was on.
