Great price, great service. Guy put in extra hours to get my computers fixed quickly. He refurbished my DELL INSPIRON 7000 after I wiped it, we upgraded the SSD and its running better than ever. A week later my MacBook broke down, Apple wanted to charge me 700+ and replace the whole logic board, this dude took a look at the hardware and replaced my ports by hand. The fixed was less then half the cost and my laptop is running great. Friendly, honest and skilled. Highly recommend

My iPad pro screen broke few days ago. I called many places, but most of them gave me quotes too much even more than Apple genius bar with a week of turn around time. If I wanted the work done faster, they would charge me extra!!! I found this place through google search, and brought my ipad and got it fixed right next day! My ipad is now, looks new. I brought my laptop in to get the charging port replaced (it was wiggling around and the power adapter was connecting intermittently) which was quoted at $75 + part. I was told I needed a new battery too, ok. I pick up my laptop under a week later and the port isn't repaired. We plug in the adapter and there is no charge. A different adapter is plugged in with a larger connector and it charges. I'm told my adapter is broken, it's tossed in the trash and I'm sold the old used beat up adapter that connected for a $30 "deal". $170 later and the port is still wiggling around and only getting worse. Sorry Josh, you're a nice enough guy, but I can't help but feel a little salty after this transaction. 2 stars because technically my laptop is functioning.

im really not that picky on rating companies but i just asked him to check my desktop and he just has tried to turn on my desktop for a few times and when my desktop’s motherboard is getting burnt, he called me and say motherboard has a problem and its 30 bucks. so basically he made my motherboard dead and charge me 30. im korean and he looks he is a korean immigrant but i would say he doesnt deserve to get profit for his job for sure. i can guarantee u will 10000000% regret u deal with them.

Went here twice yesterday to get my pc fixed. The guy is very nice and "my problem is his problem" kinda guy. Stayed there for more than 3 hours total and he will not let go till he fixes it. The best part was the price that he charged me for was unbelievably low. I highly recommend that you visit this guy if youre having problems with your pc. Thanks again josh !

The best computer repair guy in Calgary! My laptop got fried by coffee, purchased a similar refurbished one but wanted to put the better harddrive, RAM and screen from my fried one into new one. I called around other stores; was told the screen is too hard to swap and that id have to pay 150$ minimum and wait 1-2days for service. This guy did it for half the price, on the spot in 25mins, and changed my screens too! He even anticipated a graphics card error that was going to show up with the changes, and told me how to fix it easy. Cant recommend highly enough, thanks for your anazing and fast service.

I had a problem with portable external hard drive last week and my entire file was gone by accident including serious important business files before I did back up. The screen of my Surface Pro was bulging off the rest of the machine. I thought for sure it was toast and I would need a new one. I called Josh and he diagnosed my problem almost immediately, which was that my battery was expanding and causing the problems. While on the phone he ordered the replacement part and I brought my computer in and got it back, repaired, within 1 day. It works just like before and I'm very satisfied with the service I got. Pricing seemed very fair for parts and labour. Will definitely use Josh's service again if needed.

Awesome service.⭐ Very nice man. I brought him a laptop I bought off of Kijiji. He fixed the laptop and I had it back the next day.???? I also brought him an HDD to look at. ( I dropped it by mistake????) he looked at it and was honest about what it would take to fix it. He didn't even charge me for looking at it. Very honest man. He is very reasonable with his prices. And if he can't fix something, he is honest about it and doesn't charge u for it. That is the kind of business man that ppl want to deal with. Absolutely the best...brought in a computer I bought on amazon that ended up having a totally busted hard drive as well as a host of other issues. I'm a fairly literate computer geek myself, so when I couldn't figure it out, I brought it in, and kablammo, my issues were solved within 24 hours. There is nowhere else I will now go for both computer stuff as well as my business postmail, because they're obviously true professionals at this location.

False advertising; Took my laptop few days ago after looking the advertising on kijiji, where it clearly says no fix no charge, free diagnostic. Upon visiting the shop guy said he will charge $30 for diagnostic and if I agree for repair than he wont charge diagnostic. So I went ahead with diagnostic hoping of it might be cheaper but the quote I was given for $379 for replacing the motherboard. I refused the repair because it was way too expensive and gave the guy $30 for diagnostic. Went to different repair shop in SE, where he was also claiming free diagnostic and was truly free, got quote next day for $120 for replacing the part onto motherboard.

Went in with an expensive 6 TB hard drive in an external enclosure that was giving me grief. They got it fixed and working while I stood there. Less than 15 minutes. Way cheaper than replacing the drive. I now have it connected to my router as a network drive that I can use for backing up all my computers to a single location with no more connecting drives to individual computers for backing up. I will definately be a repeat customer (but hopefully not too often ????).

Had an issue with my computer making it un-useable, USB hardware issue. Had to find a solution and started googling and calling around. Josh told me to bring it in and within seconds of walking through the door he was diagnosing the problem, quickly and efficiently taking the computer apart and testing things out. Found the issue, and I even upgraded a couple parts while it was all taken apart. Left it with him and early the next day it was all done. Prices were more than reasonable and everything was explained along the way. Highly recommend this place.

Josh did a GREAT job of fixing the hinges on my laptop. They were really messed up after my laptop fell out of its case onto a concrete sidewalk. My battery in my Surface Pro was blowing up and pushing the screen out so it was separating. I texted the shop, email transferred the deposit and in 24hours they had the battery delivered and computer fixed. Wow! I'm very impressed with the professionalism and fast work. Computer works great and doesn't even look like the screen was removed and glued back on. Highly recommend!

Josh managed to put my laptop back together after I dropped it. Not only that but replaced screws that where missing in the time he quoted and for much less than Geek Squad and a nicer attitude. I was so satisfied I brought in an older ipad for battery replacement which he had in stock. Close ,fast, inexpensive and a great attitude.

My Asus vivo flip 14 laptop wasn’t connecting to my WiFi unless I was very close to the router. It also showed the blue screen error message every 15 minutes and powered down automatically. I was going crazy. I had consulted a couple of computer repair professionals and surprisingly all of them asked me to buy an external network adaptor from Best Buy for $40. That’s when I went to computer geek and met Josh. He identified the network problem in 15 minutes and said he can repair it. The very next day, I had my laptop in top condition with no network issues, no blue screen error messages, running perfectly fine. Josh is a rock star for me????. The owner here did an awesome job on a case swap and video card install. I ordered myself a new video card without thinking about if it would fit in my current case, and oops... it didn't. Doing a full swap of all the components was beyond my comfort level and technical competence, so I came here. The owner was so helpful and gave me details on other components I would need in order to support my new video card inside the new case. I work from home and need my computer during the work week and he was also able to turn it around for me on a Saturday so I was good to go for the upcoming work week. Would highly recommend this shop for friendly, fast, and trustworthy service. If I have future upgrade needs, I won't hesitate to use Computer Geeks Repair again.
