My computer was stolen- no insurance I took my computer in because I had spilled tea on the keyboard. I paid a diagnostic fee and for a keyboard replacement to be ordered. They damaged my speakers in the process and ordered a replacement part for it (from Europe). A few days after I took it in the second time to finalize the repair, I received a phone call. I was told my computer was stolen due to a break in. They offered to replace it with a year old refurbished computer of a different brand with different specs (also half the price of my computer) . I found my acer with the same specs online ($800 new) and they finally agreed to pay me out for it. They however did not refund me for the keyboard they were holding in their possession that I had paid for or for any of the service work ($200). In the end I am left with $600 to replace my computer and I have lost all of my photos and music. Edit: I find it really unprofessional how the company denies ever servicing customers who leave bad reviews and denies the costs of their services when they are brought up in a public forum.

Staff was quick to identify what equipment and cables I needed to use for my user's docking station and was able to procure an invoice in the spot with the correct company name and additional details. My accounting department is happy and I will definitely shop for any emergency IT equipment at CD Computers when I am out in Spruce Grove again.

I took my phone in to have the screen repaired and the battery replaced as the original battery failed. The replacement battery lasted all of 30 days. Because the phone had oil in it from work a very small amount of oil from the original repair when I bring the phone in to see the battery has stopped charging they say we can’t guarantee our parts they did nothing to check extremely abrasive and unprofessional and this is supposed to be a certified Apple repair store? In addition the mobile clinic did test the battery this shop installed, it was a failed Chinese knock off. The main board was working with no faults. This is a money grab shop plain and simple.

Very disappointed with this CD Computer Company. They fixed my IPad glass and it didn't last 48 hours. They said it's the keyboard case I use? ("and they will fix for $50 extra plus gst ".) I Will never go back! Oh yeah the 30 day warranty is a joke????‍♀️ Total cost $194.75

This place is a joke. The store has very out dated computers and monitors and they break you phone when you get it fixed by them. I recently got my phone screen fixed and within a week the phone was internaly broken and couldn't be repaired further. I spent $200 for a screen, for a phone that doesn't work now and there isn't a refund, I'm surprised this business is still running.

So for the most part I am a competent computer owner having built my own Gaming rig on two occasions. My most recent rigs PSU shorted out one evening, and instead of wasting the valuable time I have diagnosing the problem (I work 12 hr days, sometimes 6 days a week), I brought my rig to CD to have them look at it. I brought in a computer which I was confident and infact told the individual who brought in my computer that there was an issue with the PSU shorting. I was then notified that weekend that the employee had attempted to turn my computer on and in doing so caused a short on the motherboard which caught fire and took the GPU and all other parts attached to the motherboard with it. A $200 dollar problem turned into a $2000 loss. When I asked the manager what CD computers would do for me, she said "I guess we can waive the diagnosis fee seeing as we didn't work on your computer". The blatant insensitivity and callous attitude towards this issue was so incredibly unprofessional I will never support this business again, and as far as I'm concerned I will share this experience with everyone I know looking for tech work. My disappointment isn't justified by what I've written.

Had an older farmer friend who's phone wouldn't charge. Took it to his provider who said warranty had ended the previous month and it would be at least $300 but could be more -- told him we would try a third party provider as would be cheaper. Was only $75. Girl was extremely polite and helpful and phone was fixed in an hour. Highly recommend!

Went in, not that computer savvy, girl sold me used PC system, she only asked me what I will be using the PC for, not that I`d have to buy a bunch more accessories. Had to spend another $200 on WIFI & Bluetooth, ETC, 2 USB ports don`t work, keyboard crapped out, these guys sure like selling BUT sure DON`T like really helping out customers with advice on the systems they`re selling them...NO DISCOUNTS HERE

I broke my laptop screen while working night shift. Got off work in the am and called these wonderful people to explain my issue and that I would need it or another computer for my next shift. They told me to come in and they would see what they could do. I drove over an hour to get there and they took care of me ASAP! I was able to get some rest and go back to work with my fixed laptop. Zero downtime to me and no documents lost. Cant say enough good things about there customer service. Thanks again!!!

We bought a refurbished chromebook for our youngest child for when he goes to school. It was barely used and then the screen went on it. We tried to get if fixed but they wanted to charge us for that as well so we were sold a lemmon chromebook and now we are out a couple of hundred dollars. Then they tried to sell us another refurbished one that was just as defective as our refurbished one. Don't buy local from this place

Support local! We have purchased our laptops through CD computers for years. Way better than dealing with big box stores, especially when it comes to service. The way the computer industry and trends change so rapidly it goes without saying that CD has a firm grip on things.. they have been in Spruce forever! If you know your computers go check them out and if you need honest help sorting through a purchase or a fix these folks can do it. PS..I don't know how many times my kids have cracked their screens but may I suggest a punch card for this? Buy ten get one free?

Took my laptop in before 10am on a Friday in hopes they could order a new screen for me that day instead of having to wait until Monday. Was informed around noon that I had to come pay up front before they could order the screen I already told them I needed. There was no way they could order it without payment but I had to work until 4. I was told that didn't matter they wouldn't be able to order it that day anyway. When I went to pay they told me since it was after 4 they wouldn't be able to order it until Monday. Complete waste of 3 days time when I needed it for work. Will never go back.

Asked for a windows 10 iso to be transferred to a thumb drive (iso is on windows website for free ) they told me they install Windows 10 for free so they won't be able to help me out ..that's like mcdonalds saying they make fries but you can't have any !!!

My wife brought her I phone here to get the screen replaced. They said it would take a hour. Called us a hour later and said they had the phone apart and no screens in stock for it. So they had to put her broken one back in. Waste of time. On seeing the reply from CD computers to this review I’d like to clear some things up. They told my wife they DID NOT have a screen for her phone after they had taken it apart. Again. They did not check inventory of parts before taking on the task

Over charged for a button replacement which is lose and falling out immediately after being done and even after they were asked not to they reset settings on iPad, I now have to take it to apple and pay to have it unlocked! The manager said they will look at the button but denied any settings were changed and refused to help! iPad is locked out completely and is useless as soon as it came from them. Over priced and horrid service!!!

CD Computers said they couldn't do a screen replacement on my iPhone 11 Pro because I was bringing my own parts. Cheap company that only cares about money. The guy on the phone was trying to justify why they couldn't do it, however if you know tech, this is a really easy thing to do. STAY AWAY they only care about money. Mobile Klink did the swap for $30, go to them.

Good place for buying cheap refurbished laptops. Great staff. On the servicing side, keep in mind they do not do soldering on the motherboard. For that, you'll have to try Memory Express in Edmonton.

I recently had my 2010 laptop serviced as it no longer even turned on. I was prepared to buy a complete NEW laptop, however, I thought I'd try to see if this current one had any life left. Decided to visit CD Computers as to support locally businesses. Was informed it would be a $99 assessment and repair, pending it did not need any other parts. Dropped it off on Friday, and they contacted me on Monday informing me of the issue. I authorized the work, and the laptop was ready for pickup on Wednesday. As a service manager myself, I received the service exactly as informed. Pleased with the work...$99 saved me hundreds $$$.

Purchased a new mag2 60Watt charger for my MacBook Pro on December 03, 2020 at a cost of $84.00. The charger failed on January 27, 2021. When I returned to the store on January 28, they advised me it only come with a 30 day warranty, and they couldn't help me. It seems it was a Chinese knock-off. I purchased a genuine Apple charger the same day at Westworld computers for $99.00, and it came with a 1 year warranty. It seems to me the Chinese knock-off was a complete rip-off, and the store's mark-up was exceedingly high. On line the same one can be purchased for $44.95 and free shipping. We hear all the time to shop local, and try to, but find most "local" products are way overpriced, and little assistance is given when a problem arises. The charger cost $84 and worked for 54 days, so it cost me $1.55 per day to keep my battery charged, or an annual cost of $565.75. The next time I hear a government commercial asking people to shop local, I think I'll have them refer to this review.

Took in my computer for what i thought was a small hardware issue. Was told "there was nothing wrong" with my computer and the reason he charged me $40 was he "checked for errors and found none". Got home and a dozen error messages popped up (never seen before ) and the computer is now too slow to even use. REALLY feel i got scammed as now I have to take it in to "get fixed" from "getting it fixed". Certainly NOT recommended
