Over the past 11 months I have had the pleasure of attending Vancouver Career College. I had such a memorable experience throughout my entire journey from start to finish. The staff, teachers especially Sarah Lum who is an outstanding teacher and Julia Danielson who is an amazing campus director everyone was so very supportive, while wanting nothing but the success of all their students. I have just completed my course at VCC and proud to say I have already recieved employment in my field of studies. Once again thank thank you to everyone in making this one of the best decisions I have ever made with my education!

I’m currently enrolled in the SSW Social Work program with Shakeel Khan as my instructor. With two months left in the program I can say it’s a life changing experience. The online classes due to Covid have made things challenging for staff and students alike, I’m sure, but Shakeel has gone above and beyond to adapt the course to make it powerful, fun, and engaging while highly informative. Shakeel is one of a kind and tries very hard to be available to all students to offer support and encouragement along the way- our success is his success! I highly recommend this course, especially Shakeel’s class, to anyone interested in entering the social services field. Additionally, all staff have been wonderful to work with from front desk to student services to financing. Everyone is very friendly!

I study Accounting and payroll administration (APA) program at VCC Surrey campus since February 2019. I have accounting background in my country and one year accounting working experience in Canada. APA course materials are professional and useful for entry level student or who has accounting background needs local education. Graduates from this program are also eligible to access the PCP-Payroll Compliance Practitioner Program that's what I am looking for. I like the instructor teaching methods , and the question time every morning is very helpful to me. Now I have more confidence continue my career in Canada.

They really push to get you enrolled and signed up for classes. It will get you the certificate you need to get the job, but i don't know how much they really learn after working with graduates in a homeless shelter.

Started attending school in Vancouver Career College last October 2017. Taking an APA program, it is really a great place to learn. Proctors and staff are really helpful when it comes to a students need.

Took Health Care Assistant there. Could have been a great learning experience but instructor was a tyrant. Treated students like minions. Told executive how I felt. Next morning all but called me out on it. Berating me in front of class. Luckily i was mid 40 s. Luckiky hurt my knee and got away from this tyrant. Made an excellent course into an anxiety trip. Thanks Sanjay. Forgot to add- never did hear when grad day was. Graduated wuth honors. Invitation apparently lost on the mail. That was Jan 2016

Numbers are my passion! I always knew what I wanted to do but I was to busy with my family to pursue a career. With our youngest child starting school, it was the right time to look for a job. I soon realized that my knowledge and my experience will need to be upgraded in order to give me the opportunity to get a good job. I researched all the colleges in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Career College was the only one which seemed to have what I wanted and I wanted it in a package. I enrolled in Accounting and Payroll course and I couldn't be happier. I walked in a room full of strangers and I was extremely nervous coming back to school after 15 years. But, with every module I take and complete, I am positive that I am getting the knowledge I need for my chosen career. We work in pairs, in groups, individually, with instructions, self-instructed. Every module is set up to get us the most out of it. In no time, that group of strangers was a team of friends! Instructors and support staff are great! They have open door policy and everyone is there to help. Thank you Donna, Megan, Joan, Barb, ... I am looking forward to finishing the course and getting the job. I will take with me excellent knowledge, great experience and many nice memories.

Being a student with a full time job, i could proudly say i actually made it thru with honors. Nonetheless, this school made it feel like its my second home. My teacher Nerissa plus the classmates that made the room lively, joyful, and very welcoming for the evening class was the best decision I ever made. Now, we are a FAMILY!

I went there for 3 days signed up for the electrician course changed my mind and returned the textbooks everything. They want me to pay 5000 dollars for 3 days total scam they sign you up for student loan than lie to the government and want extra money ????. Never sign up for student loan with them they will scam you every penny. Talked to the lady in charge and she said the cost might be a little high for going fir just 3 days. Now they screwed up my credit rating and want 5000 dollars for 3 days. This college should be investigated by the government for pulling off scams immediately.

It was nerve rocking to go back to school after so long. But the instructor @ Vancouver Career College, Surrey Campus made it an easy transition for me. Teacher Nerissa and whole staff and students at evening class were all very accommodating in welcoming and helping me adjust in the program. I will never forget all the good memories shared in the class, the food, the laughter and all the fun stuff that we all did.. My instructor Nerissa help me to have a much deeper understanding of the Early Childhood Education field and for that I will forever be grateful for all the learnings????????????

I recently just graduated from the Social Service Worker Program, I was nervous if I was going to do well, going back to school In general was so nerve racking for me. Having a teacher like Shakeel was an amazing experience! He always went above and beyond in his lectures putting his heart into it, having discussions with the class, not just reading straight from the course outline. He cared about his students and their success, Shak took the time to help assist his students afterwards with career paths. Shak is an extrodenary teacher with heart and a love for what he teaches, I would definalty ask for him as a teacher if you are enrolling in this class.

I recommend NOT going to this college. They have not any educated staff. They are not focusing on their job, and they don't care about the students. Answering to the request and email are awful. The teachers just working like a machine. They are trying to fail you on the courses or give you low scores to take again the course and give money. The classes are so small without proper ventilation and too many students in one small class that is dangerous because of COVID-19. Do not register on this awful college.

I recently finished and graduated Social Service Worker Program, and my experience was remarkable with the help and support of my cool instructor; a big shout out to Shakeel Khan! Shakeel's teaching style was astounding. He was knowledgeable, professional, and very creative to make the class enjoyable and entertaining. He incorporated theories and possible actual scenarios at the workplace to be prepared in the field. His passion and dedication in teaching helped me to reach my full potentials. I am privileged and lucky enough to get hired immediately after my practicum. He went out of his way to help me throughout the process. To Shakeel, I thank you for all the knowledge and wisdom you've shared. I had fun while learning, and I will treasure it! I would highly recommend the SSW program, and the instructor was by far the BEST!!!!!

My experience at Vancouver Career College was nothing less than amazing. I’ve been a stay at home Mom to three boys for over 10 years trying to get back to the working world, coming from various fields, like as a MOA and then a Financial Advisor was very crazy & scary thing at the beginning. All the staff was so kind and helpful in getting me registered and making me feel welcomed. I took the evening classes to fit my schedule, I will never forget my first day of class. My first module Music & Movement. They were talking about making felt stories. In my head, I had no idea what a felt story was. I so overwhelmed and thought this isn’t for me. Went home laid in bed crying to my husband, saying I can’t so this. I don’t understand what they are talking about. I wanted to quit. Husband told me to go back, ask the instructor to explain how and what to do. That’s what they are there for. So next day I went up to my instructor and asked her to explain what I needed to do. I’m so grateful for Nerissa, she explained what I needed to do and how to do it. So I did, on presentation day, Nerissa was crying. I thought I had done it wrong. After my presentation she told me she loved it and that it was one of her favourite stories. “Love you Forever” by Robert Munsch. Nerissa made everything fun and exciting, she made me want to come back everyday. The ECE course isn’t hard it self but you’ve got to put in hard work to succeed. Nerissa made me realize what I was capable of. If Nerissa had not been my instructor, I feel I would have quit and missed out in this wonderful experience. Every night we would be laughing like how we get together at “family reunions.” The evening class become my extended family. Students in this class made me feel welcomed and helped me understand that I was not alone in feeling nervous and overwhelmed. We all were in this together and we had each other’s “backs.” They will forever be with me, now that we all have graduated and started out careers as an ECE. Coming form wanting to quit and graduating with honours I would say My experience in Vancouver Career College wasn’t just amazing, it was life changing.

I am taking Accounting and Payroll Administration Program and i have been doing all the courses and found all instructors are good on there part of roll but PCP instructor has motivated me more, so i have been very grateful taking this course and learning more from him as his a good instructor and guides us to do right things. I have attended this college since September 2017 and will be graduating in July 2018 in the APA course. Everyone is very helpful and respectful and informative. I defiantly would recommend this school to anyone.

Wish I could give it 0 stars. Worst experience of my life, this "school" is a scam!!! only want your money and there's no real education. The instructors are not helpful whatsoever and use class time to text on their phone and snack all day. one instructor was a bully most of them don't even try to look like they care. Don't waste your time and money here.

Classes with Shakeel Khan ( professional social worker program) have been so worthwhile! Shakeel has an amazing way of breaking things down so that they are understandable, and always keeping it light and fun.

Hi my name is Norma Louie, I am first nation's student from Alert Bay B.C. Currently enrolled APA Program at the Vancouver Career College in Surrey BC. The teachers and staff are amazing, they support you in every way. They are very friendly and kind. I wanted to go back to school for many reason's but mainly for my first nation's people. I will be the first one in my family to receive a Diploma, and to receive an Bursary Award from the New Relationship Trust Foundation (NRTF). I am very proud where i come from and only from here i can be one of many great examples to our first nation's people that change is possible.

I'm grateful for this Institution;everything was great:staff, environment, classroom setting and learning experience was challenging yet it's full of fun.My salute to the instructors of ECE program (especially Neri and Sophie)for their dedication and being approachable in so many ways...through VCC - I found another circle of true and valuable friends.

Romulus Lubbong

I won't recommend the school based on my experience. It is true that you can easily get admitted BUT I hope you all know the consequences of being easy. Moneywise, better go to Vancouver COMMUNITY COLLEGE and/or other public post-secondary schools because they have great reputations when it comes to education than going to these expensive private schools with less quality of instructions.

Ranjot Sambhi

I Loved to be in Vancouver Career College the teachers are awesome and the staff is friendly too. Special Thanks to JOE for teaching APA and many other life long lessons.

My teacher was great when I completed my ECE here however a few years later I am attending another school for my post basic and upon requesting for my transcript I was told by admin (forgot her name) her office is at the end of the hallway on the left and she has 4 different titles. Anyways, was told that I would have to email her my information and it would take a few weeks for her to retrieve it as it was archived. I kept emailing and following up with her - No answer. I finally got fed up, went to the school directly, found her and when confronted, she told me she's weeks behind her email, that she won't be going to check the archives for my transcript. I contacted my new school, informed them of the situation and thank goodness understood my situation. If you have graduated, I highly suggest getting a duplicated transcript from VCC to avoid what I went through.

I have been working at Vancouver Career College since August and this has been one of the greatest experiences for me. Every day there is a new challenge that we overcome as a team. We are a relatively new team but we are all supporting each other and you can tell that we always have the students' best at heart. The management is approachable and always ready to help. I feel that I have grown not only as a person but in my career as well. Without a good management team this would not have been possible. I am leaning new things every day in a very high paced environment.
