Here you will see all the information of people like you who are buying the services and products of Canadian Health Care Academy (CHCA) (College) near to the territory of White Rock (Canada).
Nowadays this business receives a score of 3.9 over 5 and this score was based on 55 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is very good, and it's founded on a high number of scores, so we can say that the score is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they've done well with the business, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to give opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This College is classified in the category of Nursing school.
This is not a good environment to learn in. It got two stars because the information required is there but there is no help in learning it. I took the PN course. I understand this is the cheapest option, but consider if it’s actually worth the price. Classes have more substitutes than real teachers and they don't follow the Learning Activities so you can never be prepared for class. If you are prepared for class, you get to sit through a lecture that may as well be reading the textbook. The admin likes to say that "This is adult learning and that you won't be 'spoon fed' the material", but there wasn't even a time I felt we even went into depth about the material so there is no chance of coming close to that. The tests you take for your midterm and finals are based off the textbooks, which is fantastic. It would be more fantastic if the test were based off of the Learning Activities and not random chapters that you haven’t been taught. Multiple times during my time here most of the class thought that the test wasn’t about what we learned in class, but the admin will all say it’s fine. When you do have any problems, you have to talk to Kathleen. She’s a nice enough lady but is too busy to talk to you and can’t understand what you are asking but will repeat the same sentence over and over in a different way and never actually answer the question or get anything done. She is also in charge of making all of the tests even though she isn’t a teacher. So if she’s late for work, you’re late getting your test. Also if you don’t read your student handbook in detail they will lie to you about what is needed to pass courses and make you pay to restart when you should have passed. The building is very accessible which is good, right across from the skytrain stop in Surrey. But there are many homeless people (who have limited bathroom options so it always smells like pee) and walking to the building is always dirty and scary, especially at night. Inside the building is also not the best. Parts of the ceiling are missing and the only water source other than the bathroom is a broken sink with only hot water. The floors are nice though. Overall I had a hard time learning here because of the constantly changing teachers and hardly followed outlines. The unsupportive admin didn’t help the matter. I would not recommend this school to anyone.
Great Institute to Prepare Best Nurses in B.C. Today MLA of Surrey-Whalley Hon. Bruce Ralston : Minister of Jobs, Trade and Technology and MLA Surrey-Guildford Hon. Garry Begg, Government Whip attended Graduation ceremony. I had privilege to meet a great set of Nurses and proud families. Wish CHCA a great success in future .
I did LPN Program here. Good place to learn and very co-operative and helpful management and staff.
The teachers are good and they are knowledgeable. Our pn coordinator is supportive and she is well known with what she is teaching. She know how to handle every situations
Great Place. Excellent Staff. Knowledgeable Instructors. Creating Great Nurses. I met one of your Student , who is now a NURSE and was inspired by words she stated for your School. I am sending my 2 friends and they are starting in next month. Thank You CHCA.
pretty sure it made me a guy-
The instructors are good and supportive, especially the dean.
the only school for access practical nursing
Good school. Will recommend to everyone.
very accommodating receptionist!
I was a student here and just graduated. The teachers and administrators were very helpful and supportive for their students growth. It was an amazing experience. To those that want to take their LPN i highly recommend CHCA.
Great place for learning. Teachers are knowledgable , helpful and friendly and motivates the students to learn. College has good labs to learn the skills. I recommend this college for nursing program.
I want to say Thank you CHCA from bottom of my heart. Love my time here . Wish everyone great success like me.
Great lab facilities and organized staff. Willing to help, and always ready to answer questions. Skilled instructors are dedicated to student learning.
The Dean is very helpful to all students.
Very very unorganized! Constant staff turn around. No teachers in class sometimes. Students just sit and wait. Schudules are always changed at the last minute. I could go on and on.
Great place for nursing education.
Is encouraging!
The Dean of Nursing is not listening to students. She would solicit for feedback for selling sweat shirts to students for marketing purposes instead of listening to concerns of students of no teachers coming to class and teachers not following the sequence of the lessons.
I m from Nepal , completed my Bsc nursing
I am currently a student and I really love it here. I recommend this school to anyone.
I took the Unit Clerk course within this last year and we had a awesome Instructor (first initial A). She was understanding, explained stuff and was able to teach updated stuff. So if you take this course, know you will be taught well. My whole graduating class has been hired. The negative side is I didn't care for the school administration. No one communicates, no one gets back to you, no one ever answers your questions, but luckily for this course you don't have to deal with administration and anything we got mad about our instructor took it to admin for us. Make sure you ask who the instructor is and if it is A you will be in good hands.
Great school all instructors are knowledgeable, good school to learn.
The teachers were the only good thing about the school and the lpn coordinator Karima was fantastic. The owner Joseph is horrible. All he knows how to say is "by the way". It's sad that this school is so small and schools administration is run by one guy which is Joseph. This school's nursing PN program courses can not be used to bridge into advanced programs for BSN so save your money and get into a school that is actually recognized as you will spend more time and money in the long run.
Very helpful and supportive teachers and management.
I highly recommend this school! Sunil is one of the best teacher!
I would like to share my experience at Canadian Health Care Academy, I will say this is the best college of nursing in Lower mainland. Their staff, instructors knowledgeable, very professional, I can say that with their help I become a competent nurse today, I got hired at Burnaby Hospital as a nurse, right after I pass my CPNRE. I would like to Thanks to Mr. M.Khan, Miss Elain, I would highly recommend to students to join Canadain Health Care Academy to achieve their goals????
Don't waste your time, yes, they just want your money. Student don't have access to running hot water. Ventilation system has problem. 2 out of 3 student washrooms are always broken. There is no electrical Kettle, coffee maker or a hot water dispenser in CHCA. The IPAD they promised student was the cheapest in the market. Staffs are super disorganized and very rude; they are nice only till first tuition deadline. The building has electrical problems that cause the power in classes to go out. This place has a poor condition.
This is my own personal experience as a newly students. From PN coordinators to the teachers and administrations are all for the benefit of their students. "To Learn, To Absorb and To Apply".
I'm a currently student in this college. Great study environment, professional management, qualified instructors .My experience with the teachers/instructors are all extremely pleasant and encouraging. They are very accepting and knowledgeable in their fields. No complaints .
The CPNRE Success Rate of Canadian Health Care Academy is below the Provincial and National Passing Rate. I recommend that you consider to have your Practical Nursing Program or Access Practical Nursing Program in a school with good success rate. Make an informed decision making. YOu can call the College of Licensed of PRactical Nurse of BC to seek for the CPNRE rate of CHCA compared to the national and provincial passing rate.
My experience at this school has definitely been positive. The staff were nice, friendly, caring, and were NOT after my money! I took the LPN program here. The instructors were all very knowledgeable.
BEWARE! SCAM-SCHOOL!!! go to ANY OTHER SCHOOL BUT HERE! I took the nursing unit clerk program without knowing this school DOES NOT ALLOW RE-WRITES FOR ANY TESTS! myself, along with almost half of my class failed our pharmacology final and was NOT ALLOWED BACK for a re-write and was KICKED OUT BEFORE SECOND SEMESTER STARTED. but the school REQUESTED my entire student loan to be paid at in full in november, instead of 2 distributions: September and January. SCAMMED 7,200 $ FROM ME!!!!!!! oh, and the refurbished laptop they give to you is full of viruses. and the teachers cannot teach. all they do is go off topic and start gossiping while supposidly "teaching a class" if its really that great of a school why is there so many complaints? why no re writes? why request entire loans? why ignore the students who are trying to fight for a rewrite? why did HALF OF MY CLASS FAIL?
I am very fortunate that i got a chance to learn from experienced teachers at CHCA. That learning experience helped me to get through the interviews and got job after passing my exam. I think it does not matter if college is small or big, what matters is knowledgeable and experienced teachers.
BEWARE: Michael Khan of Canadian Health Care Academy is the same Michael Khan of RCIT . Royal Canadian Institute of Technology (RCIT) registration and accreditation was cancelled and PCTIA (now PTIB) sent Khan a bill for $250,000 to cover the 30 students. DON'T BE A VICTIM OF MICHAEL KHAN aka JOSEPH PAUL.
I am happy to be a nursing student at CHCA. I recommend all nursing aspirants to come here to get most help from best teachers. Wish CHCA all the best and Thank You everyone for making me knowledgeable.
The atmosphere is always welcoming, the staff are pleasant especially the receptionist who is very helpful and accomodating to every students. The instructors are very knowledgeable. Great school for learning!
I strong recoment this school. Teacher were very helpful. I just finished PN course. I feel very confident to work in a Hospital setting. Thanks CHCA.
I would give this place a zero if I could. Do not go to this school for LPN if you plan on branching into university for a RN program. They will lie and say that you can. But you will not be able to because there standards are not up to par with accreditation. Save your money go somewhere else. The owner of this place Joseph will try to convince you otherwise.
Very gd clg and very convenient, staff and teachers are very hardworking and friendly, always ready to help students. I would recommend it to everyone.
I am Komal pandha. I just passed my LPN diploma. I recommend this school to everybody because of knowledgeable instructors, cooperative management and good practical labs. On the top of all college arranged boot camps for free. That’s a great help to pass licensing exam. Thanks CHCA.
Don't waste your time, money, energy and effort going to this school. Some of the teachers are very rude, unethical, unprofessional, unskilled, bias, gossipers and are not accountable for their words and actions. Teachers are supposed to build up students, but in this school it is the teachers who will ruin you, put you down and get your self-esteem really low. Management is not so good either, they're very unorganized and don't care about the students. And it is true all they care about is money! therefore I suggest you not go to this crappy school if you want to get ripped off!!!
The CPNRE success rate of this school is below the national and provinicial passing rate.Make an informed decison making when choosing school for your Practical Nursing Education. It's a false claim that come with education at CHCA and leave with a career. Low employability rate of CHCA graduates, is that a "career"? No teacher coming, is that education?
The lab and equipment is the best I've seen.
It was an honour to be a student at CHCA. I've got to learn a lot from the best teachers. I appreciate the constant support that school provided from the very beginning till the end. I will always cherish this journey which is very close to my heart.
