How soon we forget. This school was a melting pot of catholic brothers that were/are child abusers and pedophiles. These men (if you can call them that) were clergy that had been collectively relocated from eastern canada for their crimes against children. The vatican, seeking to avoid local bad press, hid these monsters away in small schools across canada, such as VC, where they continued their vile behaviour unabated. As an Alumni of this prison, I personally know several people whose lives were disadvantaged by the despicable behaviour of the teachers. I can personally attest to the physical and mental abuse, and I was one of the lucky ones. The eery applause of an entire stadium of children cheering the death of the principle is as as clear today as it was 30 years ago. That's my opinion of VC through to the mid 80's. I would assume the school has been cleared out and fixed. I know some of the brothers did jail time for their crimes. Be careful with your children, be aware of who they spend time with, and who you give authority to for their schooling. Trust nobody completely. I wish my parents had followed this advice.

Best school in Vancouver. Faith in Learning Community. Oh yeah and the athletics turn out provincial champions every year across a variety of sports. Great place for any young man to learn about discipline, hard work, being part of a family, and the process of success.

What can I say? School maintenance is a solid 9/10. Classrooms can accommodate all class sizes. Teachers range from 6/10 0 - 9/10, average teacher is 8/10 imo. Pretty decent course selection for anyone not interested in going into trades (tons of maths and sciences w/ a few AP options). The community is welcoming to everyone. Overall not a bad choice for anyone interested in sports or anyone trying to get into UBC sciences.

A lot of smart students here. There is a bullying problem among some grades that is worse than public schools. I also don't think the school is as "Catholic" as it should be (some former students agree). It leans more towards being a sports school nowadays.
