Ashton College is one of the best institutions today for diploma programs such as the Immigration Consultant Diploma. Course outline was great and instructors were professional and had vast experiences in the Immigration field. The support I got from their Student Services during my studies was phenomenal.

They have issues with staffing their instructors. You pay premium price for low quality education. Lesson plans are not followed, no feedback or grades on assignments until after exams. Had to pay to attend graduation. This college is an absolute mess.

Took the bookkeeping course. John was a fantastic instructor, I learned a lot from his courses. Luz did not teach me anything. She usually assigned homework that didn't take the recommended 2 hours, but rather I was working on it for up to 8 or 9 a night. I found every course she taught very difficult to take anything from, and from that I failed courses that I worked hard to try to complete.

Ashton is really organized and a school with good quality. I took immigration consultant diploma at Ashton College last August and graduated in March. They had the best instructor lineups and all the instructors I had have a fruitful knowledge in the field as well as equipped with professional knowledge. Ron, the director always made sure the class is on the track and didn't mind to stop by our classes for a discussion on certain immigration topics and we appreciated the interaction he tried to make. Ashton prepared me properly for my Entry to Practice Exam and I passed it at one go and currently waiting for my license to come. I also could luckily find a job in an immigration firm right away as soon as I graduated and now I can say I successfully got my career changed! Thanks Ashton!:)

I would chose Ashton College again, with no doubts about it. When COVID arose, they gave me a payment plan according to my financial needs, which I appreciate it very much. Great Institution!! Have attended two other universities but the experience at Ashton College has been the best. The staff and faculty is very helpful, explicit and clear with their communication about the admission processes, transition into the ASHTON life etc. Will probably rate it higher than a lot of universities in the Lower Mainland.

Worst college I have EVER dealt with!! They charge you money!! Haven't even gotten my money back it has been almost 2 months!! Even after I bombard them with emails, calls (which they almost NEVER answer), messages...etc. Teachers suck at teaching! Super disorganised! Lacking professionalism and ethics. Would NEVER recommend this college to anyone (not even my worst enemy, if I had one)!! Disgusted and disappointed. Bleh!

The program helped direct me to where I needed to focus and study. I found the quizzes to be most helpful. Adam was available and very helpful when I emailed questions outside of class time. Overall I found the course beneficial.

I had my TOEFL exam here. Took me 15-20mins to find the place. There was a small sign on the building door saying Ashton college. I rang the doorbell and waited but no answer, till one of the students who was as lost as me opened the door. Then we spent 10 mins looking for the exam center ( no information) then one man who happened to be there said it's on the 7th floor. Other than that, the staff were great and helpful.

I have been an alumni of Ashton college and would like to share my experience with the school . I took the IMCD program it was highly informative and the faculty know what they are teaching especially we had two classes with Ms Rosanna Pancotto and her vast knowledge and experience really helped us and is one of the examples of a talented and experienced faculty and her real time experience samples made us understood the topic and made us aware of the struggle and challenges which we can face in real world. Also she was always accessible and if we have any question we can schedule an appointment to discuss our doubts and never took our doubts as silly . The faculty like Rosanna make things easy for us as students . I would wish Ashton keep up the standards and quality of teachers which plays an immense role in the students development. This is our bread and butter and we need good faculty who know what they are doing . ????

Ashton College is unprofessional, unreliable, and unpredictable. They change course formats and schedules as they please, it was common to not have phone calls returned, they don't do what they say the will, they have trouble getting instructors, and they are unclear on what the trus cost of the course will be. I recommend looking elsewhere.

So I will be 100% honest about this Diploma with Ashton College and hopefully answer a lot of questions and concerns: 1) Number 1 priority did Ashton College HR diploma, provide me with a career? YES because of this Diploma I am HR assistant with Interior Heath - After sending over 17 resumes to Interior Health it was only after I got my diploma w/ Ashton that I was given an interview and hired. Now my foot is in the door and I will continue to apply within Interior health until I land my career goal BUT no matter what I say about Ashton College going forward the fact that they helped me get into Interior Health, this course is worth everything to me, I finally get a well paying job in the field of my interest. 2) Were the teachers Knowledgeable? Did you learn anything: The teachers were amazing experienced business professional, with a huge impressive resume of HR knowledge, they were all wonderful DID I learn anything Yes BUT the testing was very easy and a little light on content, no accountability to read/learn the Book purchased... my reason for this many exams were open book -- I am a speed reader so was not surprised I excelled at these exams but can honestly say that I did not absorbed the information. There were teachers/instructors who thought outside the box who challenged you, live presentations, group discussion, interactive scenarios that taught me so much....BUT I still even after my diploma had to re-educate myself on Employee laws, benefits etc. as I was not confident with all of it, just had a basic knowledge of those topics -- I believe this is the ONE flaw to this course - I need to be forced to learn every page in the assigned books, accountability is key. 3) Was the price of the course worth it? Yes it landed me my career, got me a HR diploma to proudly state on my resume, it did not break my bank, it was easy to go work and do the part-time online course at the same time - Only negative those books were expensive and many were lightly used due to limited accountability in reading them aside from exam time. 4) Is this the perfect course for someone who wants to get their foot into the HR Door? If you have a degree or some higher education do not do this course, but if you are like myself a high school diploma looking to change her career this is the Diploma to start with, yes even after the diploma you will need to learn more, start from the bottom of HR and work your way to the top, you will need to work longer to get your CHPR designation BUT the reason I took this course is I had no time to be a full time student in my 30's I have bills and family to focus on.... I needed a diploma to prove my knowledge/experience and wanted to fast track my career so that in under a year I would be working in a field on my choice...and this happened 100%. I hope this help but I would take this course in heartbeat based on where it got me today.

Went to the exam testing center for my Pearson exam , the Asian lady running is was very rude and blunt and left me waiting for 30 minutes while serving everyone else then would not take my Canadian Driving License , appalling service!

I took toefl test here. Computers were fine and supervisors were so friendly. One disappointing thing is that devise error happened on my computer, no.7. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this tasting place.

Teacher was cocky. Not at all at “test prep” course. Most of the students dropped out leaving him with one student. Save your 500.00. Please. Not at all what you think it will be. I’m forced to give at least one star because it won’t let me send in a review other wise. He killed most of the time picking on one student and talking about his teaching job at a school. Total bogus.

Save your money. Go elsewhere. Online immigration consultant course instructors are for the most part terrible, late and the platform is plagued by technical issues. There is no moderation or structure. The online course becomes a free for all of people talking over each other.

It's s disgrace, when someone like Rosana teaches in this school. She can an immigration consultant but I would say she gets zero when comes down to smartness and qualifications. 100% of time she reads materials from Canada.ca website and whenever she states something that not written on that website, she is totally wrong. Consistently giving wrong info to students and fight with students when someone tries to correct her. Anyway, I have all the video clips and documents that shows how terribly dumb she is. One day it will be submitted to IRCC, Liberal Offie and Ashton. Suggestions to Rosana, most of the students are well educated and has a life beyond this IMCD. Everyone just doing this course to make extra money. Be respectful and careful.

Ashton college was by far the worst education experience I've ever had. Multiple classes were cancelled and then make-up sessions were scheduled when over half the class couldn't attend so I basically didn't get half of the lessons I paid for. The teaching was lackluster at best and downright terrible at worst. I tried to voice my concerns multiple times and was basically told to suck it up. I paid a lot of money for my course and did most of my learning at home by myself. That said, Shawn Boden's classes were excellent and I actually felt like I learned something. As for the testing centre, I had to wait over an hour and a half, sitting on the floor just to get into my exam and then the exam proctor let a woman at the front sharpen pencils the entire time with an electric sharpener that made a ridiculous amount of noise.

Terrible. No client service once they have your money. Took immigration consultant diploma online and instructors were terrible with the exception of Christie. Curriculum simply does not prepare you for exam and frequent technical issues. Better off taking the course with UBC. I shouldn't be self teaching my self after paying 5000 dollars.

Absolute Horrible. This is nothing but a crooked Business. I am in process of filling case in BC consumer courts now. The ordeal started when i registered myself for the long distance Immigration Consultant course.This course has two module's. When i was in first module, due to personal issue ( bereavement), i dropped out of the first module only. I sent email about cancellation. I got confirmation from Ashton about cancellation. To my surprise, next month i was charged for over $2500 on my credit card by Ashton college. When i i enquired, Ashton replied they did it by mistake and will refund me. Now two months have passed, countless phone calls to worthless staff,escalation to VP, registrar, President and still no refund yet. I am told that they will be mailing cheque soon for last two months. I have talked to following persons and tried their managers without any luck : Lean, Vicky : Receptionists ( They promise call back everytime but never do) Catherine Adora : Accounts department Jane chang: VP , manager of Catherine Adora Registrar : Registrar told me that she cannot do anything because it is her last day at college. President : My call was suppose to be escalated to President, but never did. Beware of this college. The charge your credit card, take money illegally. This is last thing you expect from an Education institute. But this seems to be what their bitter reality is.

Bad service, long wait for reply. They allow you to sign up and pay for a course but just before the course starts they cancel it and tell you that they've placed you on the same course two months later! And... they tell you that you have to submit a 'Change Request Form' as if the whole thing was at your request! If you can find the education elsewhere, I recommend you go elsewhere.

Please pay EXTRA attentions to Ashton college when you are consulting them or signing agreements with them. I was misled by them just because I trusted them too much. I wasted my money and time for believing in them. I reported my issue to AEST. Even with the conclusion that I was misled by Ashton college, all Ashton college did was forcing me to pay the tuition again without seeking for other potential solutions. But I have to say, all my instructors were very nice.
