I spent 3/4 years here and I can say the one year I spent elsewhere was better than the 3 I spent here. First, there website sports are misleading. They haven't had a senior football team or a gymnastics team in years. Secondly, The school has no school spirit. When I came to Bayside they hyped up the school to be the best one in the area, however that is false. As students, we tried to make the school a better place, but the principal at the time only shut down our ideas, therefore leaving Bayside a miserable place to attend. It was also the only school in the area to not host a socially distanced graduation. Everyone knew the pandemic wasn't going to get any better. Back in June when we didn't have many cases, the graduation could have happened... but Bayside chose to postpone it. Also finding out that they have no intensions to give the class of 2020 a graduation, and has "forgotten" about us because they are focusing on 2021 graduates who might end up in the same situation as us because the teachers in charge are hella lazy. Not to mention barely any awards for graduates. The graduates who received awards got multiple when others that got none had deserved. If you weren't a favourite, good luck. It doesn't matter if you get good grades, you still wont be awarded for it.
So, for students who are thinking of moving to Bayside, take it from a former student and don't bother coming here unless your French immersion because your "Bayside experience" won't be a good one.
