I don't know the Canadian School Act, but in Korea, it is 2/3 refund in this situation. It's the same Canadian language school, but ilac is 70% refundable under the same circumstances. I don't know if the Canadian School Law is nonsense or if the refund policy is too absurd here. It's not a hundred things, and common sense doesn't work. I'd rather have to sign a contract for a month or two at a time more than 6 months at a time. Can't you transfer it? Isn't that really the Canadian school law? (Original) 800만원 내고 이틀 수업 듣다가 개인사정으로 환불신청했는데 0원도 못받았습니다. 냉정하더라고요. 캐나다 학원법을 잘 모르지만 한국같은 경우는 이런 상황이면 2/3환불됩니다 법적으로. 같은 캐나다 어학원인데 ilac는 지금같은 상황이면 70%환불 된다는군요. 캐나다 학원법이 비상식적인지 아니면 여기 학원만 환불규정이 너무 어이없는지 모르겠군요. 일이백 낸것도 아니고 상식이 통하지 않네요. 차라리 한두달 계약할 것을 괜히 6개월 이상 한번에 계약했다 손해네요. 양도도 안된다하고 진짜 캐나다 학원법이 이렇게 어이없나요?

SGIC is an excellent English language school, but it's more than that! It's a family. Moving to another country is never an easy thing. However, with all SGIC staffs, I felt really welcome I have learned a lot from incredible teachers who truly care about students' development and life. It was a wonderful opportunity to make Korean, Mexican, Panamanian, Taiwanese, Japanese friends that I will take forever in my life. It was so hard to study English in ESL, UCPP, and PPP. Nevertheless, today I feel confident to start college. Thank you so much for the great and wonderful contribution that everyone has made in my life.

Is a very good English school for Canadian and other countries students. There are many different English classes and all levels of training for all proposes, TOEFL, IELTS, CELPIP, and others. The teachers are very professional and experienced on theirs skills. The course for IELTS preparation with the teacher Dara Sadeghi is one of the best there, and in particular this teacher have more than 20 years teaching, with a lot of different and precise ways to teach and do all the students learn very easy. I really recommend.

I was there in 2000 during the summer. I remember I did not speak English at all and was one of my best experience. There were a lot of people from Mexico from different Campus of my college but also a lot people from other countries. My teachers were really nice. My homestay family was from Portugal and was a fantastic experience. I had a roommate from Japan and another from Korea so, food and culture was a challenge for me... I really miss that time.

The pre-sale with the Agency was good, but after the post-sale everything started to get worse, the sending of the documentation that they only sent after much collection and at the last minute, promised that there would be no other Brazilians in the house (nothing against the person ) but yes, there was another Brazilian, they said the house was 45 minutes away, a lie, 1:15 and there was no delay tolerance even though so far and several times the transport presents problems. On the day of arrival I was waiting almost 2 hours to pick me up, when contacting the school, they ignored it and made empty excuses, and that's because we paid the 100 dollar transfer. The classes could be better, but by the time understand that is very content. Some teachers should teach more and play less (and respect themselves, ditto) I am making my report, but several colleagues have gone through the same, or even worse. I do not recommend. A pré-venda junto a Agência foi boa, mas a partir do pós venda tudo começou a piorar, o envio da documentação que só enviaram após muita cobrança e em cima da hora, prometeram que não haveria outros brasileiros na casa (nada contra a pessoa) mas sim, havia outro brasileiro, falaram que a casa ficava a 45 minutos, mentira, 1:15 e não havia tolerância de atraso mesmo estando tão longe e por diversas vezes o transporte apresentar problemas. No dia da chegada fiquei esperando quase 2 horas para me buscarem, ao contatar a escola fizeram pouco caso e deram desculpas vazias, e isso porque pagamos o transfer de 100 dólares. As aulas poderiam ser melhores, mas pelo tempo entendo que é muito conteúdo. Alguns professores devem ensinar mais e brincar menos (e se dar ao respeito, idem) Estou fazendo meu relato, mas varios colegas passaram pelo mesmo, ou até pior. Não recomendo.

Love this school. I have been in this school for 6 months and it was right decision studying english at SGIC. Friends and teachers were kind even though i was shy and had a problem with speaking english. If i have another chance to come back to Canada again, i will definately come back to this school. I studied at sgic in 2016. I enjoyed my study abroad by spending time with classmates and teachers. It's in downtown near by "Eaton center", so I could walk all round the downtown after class. I love the teachers. They always helped me to improve my English!

(Translated) It's just the worst in a word. As the person below said, you don't get a single dime to calculate and refund with the guarantee program. Teachers are mostly non-Canadian teachers. So there are cases where teachers don't come up with something they don't know in class, go over, give out prints, or even ask Canadians ㅋㅋ Esl has a writing test every Thursday and a grammar and presentation on Friday. Writing and presentations are given topics and written in English, but presentations are even presented. Esl is taken in A,B courses for each level. If you listen to A course and drop B course, you have to take A, B again. The bottom line is that the guarantee gives you a chance to hear 12 times, but once you drop off the esl, you have to pay an extra fee (for the months you listen). Guaranteed from 3A to 3B, 4A, 4B...If you level up in this way, you will not have enough 1 course to pass the pathway program (ESL 8 course, PPP 2 course, UCPP 3 course = 13 courses required ). Even in this case, you will have to pay additionally (I was informed about $1700 for the first additional payment). Each esl course requires a monthly book purchase. $400 if you buy 8 pieces of $60 each. In PPP course, UCPP, you have to buy another binder. Only the book cost is about 800-900 dollars for esl, ppp, and ucpp. (Original) 그냥 한마디로 최악입니다. 아랫분이 말씀하신것처럼 개런티 프로그램으로 계산하고 환불하려면 단 한푼도 못받구요. 선생들도 캐네디언이 아닌 선생들이 대부분입니다. 그래서 선생들이 수업 시간에 모르는거 나오면 안하고 넘어가거나 프린트물 쭉 주고 만다거나 심지어 캐네디언한테 물어본다고 왔다갔다 하는 경우도 있습니다ㅋㅋ esl은 매주 목요일에 라이팅 시험에 금요일에는 그래머, 프리젠테이션이 있습니다. 라이팅, 프리젠테이션은 주제주고 영어로 쓰는건데, 프리젠테이션은 발표까지 합니다. esl은 각 레벨별 A,B 코스로 듣게 되는데 A코스 듣고 B코스 떨어지면 A,B 또 다시 들어야 합니다. 결론은 개런티라고 해서 12번 들을수 이는 기회가 주어지지만 esl에서 한번 떨어지면 추가요금(듣는 개월만큼)을 내야 합니다. 개런티도 3A부터 3B, 4A, 4B...이런식으로 순차적으로 레벨업하면 패스웨이 프로그램을 통과하기 위해서는 1코스가 부족하게 됩니다.(ESL 8코스, PPP 2코스, UCPP 3코스 = 13코스 필요). 이럴 경우에도 별도로 추가 결제를 해야 합니다(1번 추가결제시 1700불 정도로 안내 받았습니다). 각 esl코스는 매달 책을 사야 합니다. 각 60불씩 8개 산다면 400불. PPP 코스, UCPP 에서도 바인더를 또 사야 합니다. 책값만 esl, ppp, ucpp 합쳐서 800~900불 정도 됩니다.
