Studying here, has helped me realize my dream, which is to work in my profession in Canadian Engineering Design and Construction Market. The instructors are extremely talented and exemplary people. Among them, my all-time favorite is Mr. Ziauddin Mohammed (Zia), who is the best instructor with extensive knowledge and practical experience and highly devoted to his work and his students. Mr. Zia has extraordinary capability in sharing his knowledge in such a way that applicable in the real world. The civil engineering design and technology diploma is a very challenging and intensive 8-month program. It requires dedication and involvement from the students. What I appreciated the most is the support and professionalism showed by the instructors. M. Ziauddin Mohammed is an easy-going professor that you'll always feel comfortable working with. Mrs. Elena Ramirez in charge of the Civil 3D project(3-month course) gives an real-world approach. The career service (shoutout to Christiane) is of a great help not only on working on your resume but also to help you get a 2 ( or 4) month co-op depending on the offers and availability. Ana Lin and Gary Zhen are also there to help you around on any administrative concern you might encounter. I sincerely enjoyed my time there and definitely recommend the Civil engineering design and Technology program at the Metro College.

Unbelievable ! I was offered full-time permanent job at Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Health Data Branch as a position of Information Management Analyst. I got interviewed on Friday Aug 30th, 2013 and the following Friday Sep 6th, 2013 I was offered the job in which I can use SAS to perform data maintenance and data quality assurance. Without strong SAS knowledge, the success would be impossible. Big thanks go to SAS and wonderful instructor, Max Mao who taught me how to code SAS and understand SAS programming from novice to expert. Last but not least, I believe “Power to know” will create more and more jobs in Ontario that demand SAS data management skills to manage data asset in a variety of industries from Healthcare to Telecom to Banking and to Retail, enabling many companies to change the way of doing business with fact-based decision making.

Only place in Ontario, which offers such in depth implementation training in SAP, all credits goes to Mr. Jagtar Singh - A great teacher, who is always available to guide and specially sharing his experience and study material (which is very rare in IT industry). The only area college administration needs to improve is” Job Fairs”, they should arrange such activities.

Data science is 8-9 months crash course where we get awareness on SQL, SAS, R, Python, Big Data, Business Analytics & Machine Learning.., Although, course is tightly packed - back to back studies & exams .... I took 'Civil Engineering Design & Technology' program in MCT. They focus just on useful software in a reasonable time for learning completely, and no waste time! I suggest this college not only who want to learn design software in the shortest time but also the guys, like me, have experience in civil/structural design, and want to update their knowledge. And, for the co-op, It's not like a magic! It depends on both college trying and student resume. In my case, I could find the position I was looking for.

I am a current student and will update my review once I have completed my Network Administration program. The staff are really friendly. The school holds a high standard for the quality of education being taught. They have a students come first motto, which really makes them stand out compared to other colleges. Just keep in mind that the program is a fast-track (condensed) program so it can get pretty intense on the homework load but you will be fine if you allot studying time after school (a must). Though, this is good because it means you will start to work sooner than in other school's programs. Also the classroom settings are very small (3-10 students average) which means you get a lot of one on one time with the instructor unlike you would get in other colleges. You have a lot of hands on experiences so once you are done the program you well prepared to work in that field. Check out the school, speak with the Admissions Advisors (they are AWESOME.. actually all the staff is pretty awesome). I have checked out other colleges and Metro College is by far one of the bests.

I usually love to take risks, I love to challenge myself and this change of career led me to living a wonderful and amazing experience: I was looking to learn SQL and I have ended up with being able to “play” with data into SQL, VBA, R, SAS, Python. You can take a horse to the pond but cannot force it to drink. There are a lot of skills that can be learnt at Metro, but it requires lot of dedication since program is intensive and very well rounded for anyone who wants to enter analytics field. Students who feel that just paying the fee and sitting in class will get them a job, may find it hard. But if you are focused and persistent, Metro provides an excellent base to build your knowledge and practical skills required in the industry. Many instructors in Data Science Program are PHDs with expertise in their fields but students also need to do their part to be successful. I got a job as a 'Analytics Specialist' with in 2 months of finishing the course.

I took a course in Data Science. My experience with Metro college was not good. If you don’t have any knowledge in this field please don’t opt for this course. It is waste of time. I would suggest to opt for Community college or University as this course was not recognized by any means and had no course value for doing it from the Metro college of Technology. One of my class mate was not allowed entry to US for job based on the recognition of this college and Data Science course offered by the college. The teaching staff is biased and rude.

This is an excellent college. They have the best staff and faculties. I got my diploma in civil engineering from the college and after two months of my graduation, I easily got a job offer from a municipality government with six figures salary! Here, I don't want to misguide any person that if you can get your diploma from the college, you can get six figure salary. No, that is not the case. What I was trying to say, is, the college changed a lot of me. From job preparing skills, software training methodologies, positive way of assessing of myself, and much much more. Personally I would appreciate Anna Lin and Zia Mohammed very much. Anna really cares about students, She would make you feel you are very unique and very important to the college. Zia taught me most of the useful software, from Civil 3D, Microstation, AutoCAD, Timberline, Project. Zia knows all these software from inside out. He is very patient at teaching, on top of that, he has a very special way of teaching. Just follow his instructions in class, you will master a software in a very easy and very quick way!

The college where i did my diploma in Computerized Accounting and Office Administration (2020-2021). This is an excellent college. I got best experience and it's a place to study. Online learning was not at all inspiring in starting but the teacher made it really interesting by using best teaching method. The teachers are so helpful. I really like the positive environment of the class. The college was facilitate to me a Co-op program but with in one month after i graduated, I got a full time job in private company. All the staff are co-operative. So, i would really suggest other to go to Metro College. For a newcomer like me it is a best place.

I found that it is very easy to find a job when I have trained in this college. The courses especially the software courses are really needed by the market. I Recently a Graduated from Metro College of Technology. Taking the Network Administrator Course. Let me tell YOU this place is FABULOUS. I LEARNED so much MORE than I ever anticipated I would learn. They gave me theory, powerpoints, spreadsheets, textbooks, pdfs, video presentations, verbal presentations and alot of PRACTICAL hands on experience working with the best tools available today. As a recent grad I could not be happier with this College. Not to mention they are also offering two CO-OP programs: One with the City of Toronto; another with the TTC. I personally am on the full-time job hunt otherwise I would take advantage of these co-op programs. If your Considering Metro College of Technology. All I have to say is GO FOR IT.

I am very pleased to write my experience at Metro College of Technology. I think I found a shortest and unconventional way to accomplish my target at critical point of my career. When we are overwhelmed by the community colleges and their 2-3 years of long programs, Metro College on the other hand gives excellent course combination to satisfy employers in GTA area. Class size is small and one to one counseling is provided to those who are really serious to make to most of the training. I guess they have good reputation in Toronto, especially in Engineering. I had an opportunity to meet professionals from all parts of the world. These individuals have tremendous experience in their field. They picked Metro College over a conventional college program to satisfy their needs of a career shift or up gradation to their skills. I also met Canadian University Graduates during my training as no university offers a customized program for students. Because of my training at Metro College I was able to secure a position as a Mechanical Designer in reputed company of Ontario. Horrible experience. College promises that you will get a good grant. However, the financial office is lazy in submitting the documents to NSLSC, which led to grant being converted to loan. Felt like a trap. Same thing happened to many of my colleagues. Education wise, not great, basic course content which will not prepare you for the market.

Therefore no one in the classes could easily get the course done unless you work very hard by doing a lot of extra homework. As a hard worker, I tried my best and successfully completed the program. I took the SAS course at metro college. I was so regretted to take the course, not because of the course itself (I'm willing to learn SAS), just the instructor was so bad at teaching. He definitely knew the staff, but he was so bad at expressing the knowledge to the students. Plus, he taught way too slowly. I just feel it was not worth spending the money to take the course at metro college. P.PLUS, the classroom was so small. I feel so uncomfortable to sit in the classroom for more than 4 hours.

I finished the program Network Administration from this college at the end of Sept and then received quite a few job interviews, and started to work as a Systems Administrator in early Nov. I have to say it is a good private career college, in which you can actually learn practical skills and the instructors are very good too. I am convinced you can find a job related to what you learn as long as you study hard and digest what you are taught at class. Moreover the school genuinely cares about each student, so they provide as much help as possible to the students to help them find jobs. A piece of advice to whoever are looking for attending college, the size of school does not matter, what matters is what you can actually learn.

I recommend this college for any experience cad designers and engineers that needs to upgrade their skill to become more competive in the job market. Also i find their co-op was the key to my job success as i was missing certain experience. In my opinion, anyone who just started to learn engineering and design, this college is not for you. This is an engineering and design college career and fast track from a two year program to less than a year. Also If you like to apply for a c.e.t designation you need to take a college 3 year diploma. Also this college is hardwork and you cant afford to take a day off or you miss a lot! The software courses they provide are not taught in regular college school so there is an edge! The teachers such as zia and student admin are amazing and will help you to succeed. Good luck in your career choices!

I did my second career training last year in this college and I have learned a lot in various CAD programs in Mechanical Engineering field. Before I never touched CAD types of work, but after this short time training, I'm now able to work a regular CAD drafting job - I got a Machine Design job in a 40 years old company in the middle of this year and up to this point, the company is very satisfied with my work. Pursuing the Computerized Accounting Program at Metro College was the best decision I've ever made since moving to Canada last year. Weeks before I finished my studies at Metro College, I was already offered an Accounting Associate job by my current employer who actively searched resumes posted at job websites. It was only three weeks after Ashley of Metro College trained us students how to persuasively craft our resumes and confidently go through a job interview process, that I posted my new resume online and got a response from my current employer to interview with them. Apparently, my employer was impressed with my resume and interview, as well as with my qualifications and the relevant accounting programs offered by the school. I highly recommend the Computerized Accounting program at Metro College of Technology for those who need a Canadian diploma that works and are seriously aspiring to launch an accounting career in Canada!

These guys are not playing at all. The lectures are intensive. This is my second week. The lecturer for SAS; a course I am currently tacking is wonderful and willing to assist whoever wants to learn. Each day ends with assignments and homework. A quiz at the end of every other week. I guess I didn’t expect to get rough-handled this way with the quality of lectures the school is dishing out. May sure you are prepared to study if you come here. They’ve got no chills at all for unserious persons. From the front desk to the classroom, all the staff I have met so far are very professional and humble. I will keep updating this as I progress in my program. Currently pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Big Data Analytics.

Very bad school!! Admissions lie to u about de cost of book and laptop. IT takes 2 long to install software. Instructor is ok but very hard to understand. And they always ask 4 positive comments from students. If u want bad service den come there. Otherwise don't waste ur time an money.

Metro College is a wonderful learning place with practical courses and compact schedules, especially suitable for those who want to join job market faster or update their professional skills effectively. As far as I am concerned, the staff of Metro are friendly and experienced. In last August, I graduated and obtained my diploma in Mechanical Engineering Design and Technology (MEDT). With the constant help from their management and instructors, I found my first job in September and move to another international company, which is ideal for me. The worst thing about this college is their instructors. Data Science instructors. They have no experience in their field. NO EXPERIENCE. You can realize how they can teach you anything that help you in your feature job. They are changing their instructors because of the student's complains. They do not introduce you to job market. do not send you to co-op.

Unlike other private colleges you get a lecture and then an on hands component instead of sitting there and following instructions in a book.

Amazing Instructor! Zia is a very professional and knowledgeable Instructor! He gave step by step explanations and made sure I understood everything before proceeding. He is very knowledgeable in Civil Design Software and super patient. The notes given by Zia are such format that you couldn't find anywhere (I Named the book as "The Golden Book"). Would definitely recommend! to join MCT for CEDT

This program offers all the modules in SAP Finance and Controlling(FICO) with integration of MM, SD and PS. This really helped me to get depth knowledge. Year 2016 I lost my job, I was struggled, I don't know either looking for a job or going back to school. I choose back to school, I know it will be hard for me since its quite long time I finished my Colleges back home. I decided to take CNC and MasterCam Technology because some course are related to my profession back home, I enrolled at Metro Colleges and Technology under the Second Career Program. It was very hard for me at the beginning since everything is computerized, I wanna back out but I realized ' Quitters never win and Winners never quit" but since the professors are very kind and helpful it encourages me to continue all the way until I finished my full 8mos. Diploma course. Luckily, 3 weeks after I finished my course I found the job as CNC and MasterCam operator with the help of our co-op coordinator.
