This College corresponds to the category of University.
University of Alberta is where it all started!
Always 5 stars, unless you get there st rush hour...then it's no stars, all frowny faces
Good university but has a lot to improve.
Fantastic , lovely very kind .
Parking bag is always a chore, but otherwise ok. Quick COVID screening and you are in.
One of the best Universities not only in Canada but in the whole World.
Please stop calling for donation. Poor international alumni paid nearly 100k for 5 years tuition. Still need to suffer from you guys donation calls every month :(
Fun skate park, good school.
Dent Pharm restoration project
Navigated the campus via wheelchair for Pokemon Community day and was very thankful to have help being pushed because there were a plethora of uneven surfaces, poorly marked paths for universal access and other barriers to enjoyment of the space as a person with mobility issues ( i.e. sidewalks that started with a friendly curb on one side of the designated pedestrian crossing, but at the other was a fifteen centimeter curb blocking the ease of passage; Cracks in pavement perilously affect the safety of wheelchair users, and this campus is rife with them) The campus buildings were shuttered for summer, so am unable to comment on the accessibility of those spaces. Note: for the able-bodied, this rating is 4 stars
Did not get accepted had to go to macewan
Spent 4 years here, nice memory.
Excellent for studies and research.
Great children's science day.
Just awesome. Was visiting my dad after recent heart surgery at the Mazankowski, and those people are amazing. We're privileged to live in a province with such amazing cardiac care. Even in the time of Covid, this place is world class.
The Campus is too big that it takes 6 months to fit a map in mind. The services are great. One of the best universities.
All in one place
I have spent almost 8 years at the university of Alberta as a P.hD. student, TA and Post doctoral Fellow. these 8 years were the best of my life. I love U of A.
Beautiful campus
Hello to all I am wondering this event if I am eble to attend right now.
UofA
Took part in their Dance Club. Very friendly teachers who help you master all skills presented. Very nice locations for classes.
Super beautiful spring Awesome place to rest and have some food Has a good Ice skate rink (does not rent ice skates, you have to bring your own) SUB is my favorite place to have a chat with my friends while having lunch
Waou its very good
Beautiful campus, friendly environment and intellectual faculty.
I used one of their Great courses on Coursea
Simply the best :)
I had an amazing experience at U of A.
Wow they really renovated a lot here !! The campus is simply stunning and the facilities are amazing. Wish i could go back to school here and re-live my engineering degree... just kidding.
..with the exception of tge receptionist it was fab!!!!
A must when you are in the neighbourhood, walk the campus. Fantastic buildings and beautiful scenery. It alms ones sole. Coffee shops aplenty. What an amazing hospital.
The doctors and nurses really did a great job helping me in my time of need
Not entirely sure if this is an educational facility.
Went to the U of A for an mri. Got great directions on where to find that department. The mri took about 20 minutes, and the people who did the mri were very caring and helpful throughout the process... After it was done one of the hospital staff walked me to the appropriate exit. Very kind people.. Appreciated all the help and the quickness getting the mri done. Great hospital! Great staff. THANK YOU.
Amazing in the fall and summer, even if your not a student it's well worth a visit
Great place to learn
admitted for emergency care. Once past the triage, the care i received was 2nd to none. Highly professional drs and nurses who made my health and recovery their priority. Thank you U of A team
Very quiet right now with covid happening but one of the cooler places to see.
Friendly staff
I love the campus but parking is a pain.
It's very clean ,has best doctors and awesome nurses I've seen anywhere.whole staff very compassionate and helpful, thank God we have facilities like this.
The Cross Cancer is amazing for a place that deals with grave cancer sickness on a daily basis.... The nursing staff and doctors are also too notch
In my opinion the U of A has some of the nicest buildings in Edmonton. I am a photographer and love bringing my clients to the grounds for either wedding or engagement pictures. If you are not here for photos it is just a nice relaxing place to walk around, especially in fall.
I loved this campus. So pretty and nostalgic.
My wife got her C-T scans done in record time today
The difference between life and death.
Be prepared to use a car service, public bus or LRT service to arrive and leave. Parking is not convenient whatsoever. Parking which is, is almost always full. The pricing is amongst the highest in the city. There are many buildings. You must plan your trip here ahead of time.
I was injured walking off a step at the SE corner of the jubilee auditorium parade The step is a 6-7 inch drop and the concrete is the same color with the same pattern on it. This makes very hard to see.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience with the professors and courses I took for my psyc degree at the U of A. One major issue I had was the lack of personal connection when it came to administration. University fees were often not explained well and because of the sheer volume of students they deal with on a regular basis, you're shipped through like a heard of cattle. Another issue is PARKING! Oh my goodness, parking costs are through the roof!! Even for students that are already paying a very high tuition. Parking facilities are often not up to date (eg.out of service or simply don't work because of the cold) and their only response is to ticket students. I love this school, but I hate that the raw truth is the university of Alberta is out to make a buck on you.. in more than one way. Cheap shots on students to make the extra buck overshadow all the positives about this school in my opinion.
Thank you for the great care
Beautiful University
I do believe U.Alberta cross cancer has some of the best and friendliest staff I have ever seen. They take time to answer questions and any other concerns you may have
The Stollery is always amazing. From nurses to maintenance. Everyone is amazing.
A lot of scandalist things going on inside the school, had to get out of there. Would not recommend even on a full ride.
I came into the UofA Emergency on foot as I suffer from Bronchitis. Covid-19 has everyone scared and as I need to be able to meet with a few people in person it is important to be cleared. The staff are friendly, courteous and are working super hard to get everyone the help they need. GO FRONTLINE WORKERS!!! Thank you!

This hospital saved my life I wouldn't be here but I'm grateful ????that I'm here still to this day
Superb hospital. Very friendly staff.
Any time that I go to Manning Kowski and I have questions my questions are always answered to the point I understand they're very knowledgeable and they're awesome bunch of people nurses and doctors surgeons that all work there you guys are all awesome you've kept me alive for 19 more years can I ask for more than that you're an awesome bunch I love you guys keep up the good work
The nurses and the doctor who did my procedure were awesome!!
The actual education system is decent and so are the professors. Aside from student connect the other student services dont know what they are talking about and are quick to send you off to a different office so you’ll be their problem. Not to mention the condescending attitudes.
Great school to go to. Lots of academic options
Beautiful looking!!!
The Warmest blankets !
Hospital in good condition .. staff however were hit or miss. I seem to have been forgotten about alot.
The University of Alberta (also known as U of A and UAlberta) is a public research university located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It was founded in 1908 by Alexander Cameron Rutherford,[6] the first premier of Alberta, and Henry Marshall Tory,[7] its first president. Its enabling legislation is the Post-secondary Learning Act.[8] The university is considered a “Comprehensive academic and research university” (CARU), which means that it offers a range of academic and professional programs, which generally lead to undergraduate and graduate level credentials, and have a strong research focus.
I was told if I didn't have anything nice to say not to say anything at all.
Great uni
Too boring, too cold, don't have delicious food served, courses are hard. Can't imagine how can I get over four years here. Maybe going to Japan for study is a better choice.
Great days at great University.
Great Hospital with SPECIAL CARE GIVEN TO ALL
Most of the bad reviews are from people who didn't know what they were getting into. This is not surprising as high schools often lack properly trained counselors that can steer students in the right direction.
Recently did a course at the faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, an amazing worl class facility.
I have been going to cross cancer since 2014. All my experiences have been great.
COVID has got the inpatient psyche unit locked down but things are slowly opening up. All in all it's a great go to hospital. Beautiful view!
UOFA IS AN AMAZING UNIVERSITY.
Thank you for accommodation
Wonderful, Caring people
Great place to learn!
2 years wasted. You'll get treated badly by the school and the system. Parking costs an arm and leg. Lots of TAs and profs don't even like teaching, or don't know how to teach (they do research, not teach). Also you get no experience, just a degree.... if you're lucky. Super friendly classmates and fun activities on campus tho I'll admit.
Liked it enough to get 3 degrees
It has a great education program
Beautiful place to walk around in the spring and summer.
Although I'm from Europe and study there and just been in this place as a visitor, it sure did get a great impression! All modern, well organized and greatly equipped. Although I didn't get a chance to familiarize myself with studying process here, definitely recommend considering studying here
The nurses are amazing
Pretty affordable compare to other universities. Because of the city conditions, but too much bs going on the campus. Department heads only focus on serving the oil industries. They should rename it for albertan college of oil and gas. Universities should be more inclusive and diversified on different subject matters. All budgets went to the chem eng,and the officials representing eng sector has a dominant weight among other faculties.
Great school. Very good facilities, conducts a lot of research. Beautiful campus.
It's ok
All parking is temporary free
What university would evict a student for a suicide attempt? Does the university really care about mental illness?
It was a long night but the drs and nurses @ UAH Stollery Childrens Hospital are very caring for our children especially assisting my daughter last night.
2016,start mech Engg masters degree,, with no subjects of mech Engg,, why, reason? Mean subjects of researches ,international students in trouble and want to leave uni, oh so sad Is it management of your university? International students coming to your country to study with spending full savings of his parents and results 0,,, I lost, Again so sad and sorry,,
Good

Beautiful grounds. Always lovely to walk around my old alma mater and see how much progress has been made over the years.
Loved this combination of colors - was just passing by
Beautiful campus
It's a hospital... Nurses were so nice and as a transwoman they didn't misgender me at all. The surgeons were amazing and understanding and helped with my anxiety.
Excellent trails on campus, lot of quiet areas to recharge mentally.
So dirty
Big thanks to Stollery , great job Guys
Extremely courteous staff, understandably most of the merchandise was swallowed up by the students but, I got what I needed.
A world class research university with excellent facilities!
University is getting busier
To expensive
Really nice campus and facilities
The care I received in the internal medicine ward was top notch, professional & with empathy, always a smile & warm greetings. Special thanks to Dr. Rajwani, endocrinologist Anne Rogers, and her dedicated …
Great, I went to the emergency, I bit of a lengthy wait. But staff was handling all the visitors in an efficient manner. Excellent treatment.
A crucial part of the community and one of Edmonton's most venerable institutions. I recommend the historical walking tour, to learn more about U of A's rich and fascinating history.
I had such an amazing time completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta. ????????
I hope i can come for my master education
As a patient this was a world class medical facility from er to surgery the staff have been outstanding and professional, even when faced with some patent who where abusive towards them. The care I received was top shelf.
I had a wonderful experience at the U of A ER yesterday afternoon and evening! Was brought in via ambulance. The Ambulance Attendants, Doctor, Nurses and X-Ray Tech were friendly, caring, light hearted and very supportive through it all! Deep admiration, especially during this trying time of Covid! Thank You from the bottom of my Heart for All you do! ????????
High security for covid.
Took a course online with the University of Alberta and I really loved the pace at which the course went. The material was well structured and the site was user friendly. The teachers were very knowledgeable and addressing matters in a quick manner. I would recommend this University to anyone who has a busy life and is looking to expand their resume without sacrificing their work hours. Thank you for a great experience, UAlberta!
I'm a HCA @ the hospital
Even though I've not gained admission to study at University of Alberta but their research credentials made me choose to pursue a post graduate program. U of A is one of the best in the world.
I would like to study the university of Alberta
Beautiful environment
Had an uncomfortable medical situation, which forced me to spend 8 hours in UofA's emergency ward todau. I was treated fantastic by all nurses and doctors on staff, my only negavite feedback would be on how lackadaisical and apathetic the admitting staff were towards me as I sat there bleeding allover myself.
It was ok, it was a long wait to get in but it's like that at every hospital.
Great university, inside having a lot of restaurant that is very good
One of the best university top class facility & Excellent facilities Very friendly people cosmopolitan culture. For medical education really a best place. Public transportation available close to white ave of the best happening place EDMONTON
Beautiful campus
The Students Union Building is a peaceful quiet place on weekend mornings to read or get some work done. If your alumni, you can get onto the Wi-Fi, there’s bathrooms, couches, and a coffee shop usually opens up mid-morning.
I feel like I'm in shawshank all over again.
Staff was great but the wait was long as per usual!!! Social Distancing, Extra Cleaning before & after each patient from triage on as well as the washrooms & waiting rooms are being sanitized much more frequently!!!
Easy public parking. Lots of info centres and signage. We easily found the MRI our first visit and the Neurologist on our second visit.
Was at hospital not the University. Nursing staff was great.
Completed BSc here and found it very useful and the courses, for the most part, to be spot on. First year is a struggle. UofA should put more work in terms of guidance and support for first years. Parking is a complete PAIN and over priced. There should be different rates for students to park. Even the option of a different rate at the LRT parking stations for car pools if you are a student. Other than that, great experience and worth it.
If you are expecting that your experiences here will be a refreshing free, unorthodox, academic experience think again. Just another manifestation of your stereotypical backward facing Alberta institution, slowly privatizing into diminishing artistic freedom with blatant disregard for the signature freedom of information that universities were designed to expand and protect. Expect the worsening of conservative anti-environmental research in the environmental science programs and the not so subtle snuffing out of social science and fine arts programs.
People are more help for poor people
Am quite enjoying their online Faculty of Extension courses about Information Access and Privacy Protection. Robust online tools, good materials, good professor.
Very neat and tidy.
Couldn't visit d campus yet...I can comment after sometime..
Especially during this time of pressure I have found the staff to be excellent, patient and reassuring.
Very mind reflective, environment of creativity, associated with trees, tradition, beautiful art & architecture with creativity, welcoming, beside river valley of Saskatchewan river, the university is on continuos research, being one of the …
It's a pretty campus
Beautiful campus and amazing people at the UofA!
As a current undergrad student, i can tell that u of a have loads of amazing professors. The facilities are okay, but due to budget cut some facilities are lacking maintenance, e.g. lab machine in csc. And they almost never come to fix a cracked desk in cs. Another thing I don't like is the PARKING! They will rip you off not only on your tuition, but your monthly parking! And the ticket guys are always working hard to issue you as many tickets as they can! It even sucks for me that as a driver, I am forced to buy u-pass when I'm paying the tuition, even I never ride public transit.
New Student Orientation Day was a great day
Beautiful Campus, great facilities.
The UofA grounds are beautiful in the summer! As for the school itself, I am bias. There is a variety of programs to choose from, research opportunities, community engagement initiatives, and a plethora of support- when a person knows what …
Saved my life on multiple occasions, hospital is the best in Canada, in my opinion.
Beautiful University
I don't know weather the university is good, but the university is really really beautiful, same like u of s
Awesome staff helping out our loved one ...thank you 4A2
The Stollery is a great hospital.
Offer a huge amount of classes. Most professors are good while others should not be teaching. Campus is quite nice
Great place
Good place to find Pokémon.
Great People At University Hospital.
Nice indoor track facility, well maintained, good view of the track
I am always treated with respect at the UofA and other amenities
Seems like a pretty good school!
UofA, AOK!
Because of good treatment and wonderful doctors and nurses takecare of patient with true heart.i love it.Thank god my son recovery is so good with them.
Awesome so thankful for the frontline workers. Thanks for taking care of my dad.
Beautiful sights to see. Awesome buildings, decent people. Parking is a scam and hard to find.
We had to come here while my dad is in the Neuro ICU. The staff have been so lovely and compassionate and it's made the whole process a lot easier. We are so grateful!
I did both my BA and MSc at UofA and my experience has been great. Buildings are beautiful. Really nice in the spring and summer when it all becomes green. In my undergraduate studies, I had to live with large class sizes and low professor-student interaction. However, this is common to all big universities and if you really want to learn and excel, you can have a way with professors whatever the situation. The class sizes decrease as you specialize in a field and as you go into senior years. Graduate studies are really nice and there are programs out there that focus on professional development on top of your program that you can take advantage of. The university is research intensive and challenges students to be creative and not dependent on supervisors. I would have loved to do my PhD at UofA ; however, I would be like a bird that doesn't want to leave its nest and explore outside.
It's the UofA. The best medical facilities in the world.
Very professional service considering what's going on in this crazy world...
Large clean campus
Everyone was really nice with me. I was super nervous for my surgery but everyone made me feel better! I felt very supported by everyone! I would definitely recoment University of alberta hospital. Got a little lost but i figured it out ;)
The north campus at UofA. UofAlberta is the best experience of my life.
The staff and everyone there was supremely awesome they are fast knife and efficient it kept it up I'm very proud to say and I went to the university
Giantic place, amazing facilities
I worked for the UofA and it was an excellent organization to work for. Prior to that, I was a student and now my son is a student! I would recommend this institution to anyone looking to improve.
At the difficult times education institutions stressed double so. I hope it can be compensated by youth and enthusiasm.
Amazing campus!
I went to get a PET and stress test. The staff were all very kind and helpful explaining the procedures. I was really surprised at how efficient and on time it all went. The scan and then the stress test. I expected to have to get on a treadmill, but no, it was done with an IV Injection of a medication that increased the blood flow to the heart, with possible side effects, shortness of breath, chest pain and headache. I had all 3. Then an IV antidote which relieved all side effects almost instantly. Wow.impressive.
Some of the best years of my life
Can't find anything properly
My aunt just got her PHD in this university. Planning to do my masters degree here.
Getting to this place is not easy
Beautiful inside out
Expensive ambiance, unbelievably expensive decor. Service is slow but of great quality. Food is plain but well made, and hit the spot. Really enjoyed my honey garlic chicken with rice and steamed beans, with apple sauce and black tea. Best of all, the meal was complimentary. Parking fees are outrageous though. A++ would get my appendix removed again.
Phenomenal university with excellent professors and facilities. Had an exchange here in July and will definitely return.
Nice place ????????????????
How is mbbs in university of alberta is it accredited?
I s'pose
A great option for someone considering higher education or a degree program.
It's a bunch of big buildings
I Love you Canada
The 5th floor staff are very good people who actually care for their patients physically and mentally. They do a amazing job and I felt relaxed leaving for the night knowing he was well looked after. I would have given 5 stars but our experience in the emergency department was far from professional at times
Had to take my daughter ( 11yrs) to the Stollery children's hospital located at the University hospital.
Although like most hospitals the waiting time to see a doctor is a bit lengthy, I felt like the doctors and nurses actually knew what they were doing.
Great school!
Excellent place for research
I treasure my time here back in the 70s.
The University of Alberta hospital has the most amazing care for their patients. I'm thankful for all the specialist, doctors, and nurses. That are working there. I feel like my family is getting the best help we can get.
Was actually at the Canadian Blood Donor Clinic. Clean, quite, timely. Donate Blood when you can, it saves lives ❤️
Parking is a nightmare. Prepare to pay for overpriced parking or walk a mile.
Very nice
i love this university. it is great
One of Alberta's best hospitals!

cringe
Staff at the Orthopedic unit were caring, professional and a pleasure to be cared for by, thankyou
The Surgeons, Physicians, Nurses & Staff are Excellent, on busier days prepare for an little wait; One will receive top not service normally, & It's been long rumored that here; the best surgeons reside. ????
Beautiful campus
Awesome hospital
It's great place
I recently had a heart attack and had to go to U of A hospital for some tests and get some stents installed. What an incredible place. The staff are 2nd to none. The best and the brightest. Thank you Dr. Choy etc al for fixing me up qnd treating me so well while you were doing it.
5 stars for the U of A Hospital..Gamma Knife unit. The staff are like family..genuinely caring and extremely skilled in their profession. We are so fortunate to have this facility.
One of best universities in rhe world.
Don't like being in the hospital, but they treated me good
Best hospital in Edmonton. All great doctors and nurses. Great facilities. A great work place as well..
Horrible admission team at Faculty of Graduate Studies. I applied to Master of Engineering (Crse) in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management - Full Time program but my application was left unattended and there was no update given on admit/reject. My login user credentials were not accessible and even after repeated multiple checks with them on this, no proper solution was provided. What's more unimaginable was the call handler started "gossiping and laughing" with someone in background, when my call was on line. This university has collected fee for admission but it was all gone waste. Can't express my disappointment and horrid experience with words. Didn't expect this from a "world class" university.
I wish to study here ..????????
I hated it i didnt go but its AMAZING!!!!!!! DELICIOUS!!!!!
Great staff. Wonderful straight forward place. Clearly marked and organized. New nursing staff should have to tell you right away though so you know theyll take far longer. Also, 6 MRSA cases were on the unit and there was an incident where one of them went to a public washroom, so maybe make it very clear to the patient themselves that they are a high risk.
Excellent Hospital! It is, but the receptionist from the MRI Dept on April 12, 2017 in the morning was so rude. She's really racist and no respect for the non-white Canadian..
Pharmacology professors here are a joke. Otherwise an excellent university. Can’t speak for other programs.
Nice place..!
It is one of the best Universities in Canada.
Worst experience at a hospital ever.
Wonderful University!
Awesome
Great care, swift attendants, safe environment!
American style uni.. In my opinion!
It's alright for community leisure.... but over priced on parking. What I dont understand is why the system is even there in the first place. You take so much time to find a parking spot. When you could be spending it with the loved one who is dying in the hospital. Almost about 15 minutes it takes to find a spot. Or spend 10 dollars for 30 minutes.... This needs to change..... should not pay for parking in general..at a fricking hospital.
Uni.
Lots of history and knowledge about educations and since which ismy favorite
Cant wait to go in like 5 years if we make it
School is great. I worked with the maintenance crew for a couple of months before lay off (government elections froze department cost centres). Great group of guys that maintain this campus. I would go back in a heartbeat.
The U of A Hospital has a great protocol at entrance...screening people as they come in for appts...hospital is very clean...Staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.
A beautiful and scenic jam.
Just a real wonderful place to be.
Wonderful surgeon! Kind staff
Thanks to everyone who gave me such great care during my stay at this facility and especially to Dr.Kwan and his excellent team!!!!!! Thanks Also thanks to the infectious disease team.
Really great for complex medical care and information on many things but there needs to be more social distancing and more masks than what I've seen and they definitely need to get it together considering the past two times I was there , there was a palidin security guard who clearly was sick working the door and would take his mask off inside the hospital and was sitting near people who were waiting for Dats! And others who had a compromised immune system clearly!! It ! Honestly seemed as if he were trying to get people ill!! And the disposing of masks outside just in the common trash bins are NOT SAFE !! THERE NEEDS TO BE BINS WITH LIDS FOR THEM
great volleyball facilities
I was treated well by the nurses and Dr. during my endoscopy procedure at the University of Alberta hospital
Best university ever! I just did not like the compulsory food plan at Lister Center
All of the staff were incredibly caring and helpful during my recent hospitalization. I am so very grateful to be home with my family thanks to the amazing care of everyone
Classical and beautiful
Nice stollery doctors
These people that work here are amazing people.
The staff was very friendly and very helpful toke good care of me.
Trash
They give fake degrees to fake scientists.
They do not create successful people. They accept successful people and then take the credit. Edit: Years later, I regret wasting my money here.
Very friendly and helpful doctors and nurses!
Awesome experience at the U of A. I am from Mexico, I was studying there in 1997 for my MBA degree. Excelent facilities: swimming pool, gym, accomodation, libraries. Warm and generous people.
Very nice.
University Hospital being in here for more than 2 months it's very hard on a person. I'm learning how to. Walk again it's very difficult. I hope to be out of here in a month and a half at most
Nice place but there for sad reasons
Cross cancer excellent
Staff were great
I Judt Love The Kaye Center at the UofA. It's such a beautiful building and do clean . This building has helped me for the last 10 years. Its literally saved my life with the Grest Doctors that I have seen. Staff is always professional and polite. Thank God we have such a Grest Facility. God Bless everyone. Hugh Halabi
I love the area. Its clean and quiet well looked after. Its easy to catch transit to where you need to go in a timely manner. ????
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Lister was a good residence. Was.
Will be seeing you in court for coercion of a medical treatment and breaching privacy laws
For anyone contacting Dr. Cooper's office, be warned about speaking with the secretary. This individual is ridiculously rude and condescending. Very unprofessional.
Was told sudden and severe depression and anxiety is not an emergency, also not directed to the mental health clinic located in the same building. Overall a very miserable and degrading experience.
Staff was wonderful!
Overall alright, even though the administration is wanting to stamp out all the traditionally fun aspects of university life. 5 stars for the education, 5 stars for the students, a big fat 0 stars for residence services, 2 stars for the administration
I've received an interview at the UofA and was subsequently requested for 3 references, which I've provided. After no offer being made, I have found out from my references that all 3 of them have been contacted and was requested to fill out an extensive and lengthy list of questions. Despite the fact that all my contacts have provided positive feedbacks and no offer being made, it's become apparent of how entitled these people are to think that it is acceptable to waste everybody's time on lengthy reference checks, when they have yet to make a decision on the candidate. In the 15 years of my professional career, I have yet to come across any other employer who conducts reference checks, when a decision have yet to be finalized. And for them to contact all my references, including my current employer, when a decision has not been made yet is extremely unprofessional. Like many other job seekers out there, we do not need our current employers to know that we are searching for other opportunities, but obviously, this is not a consideration for them.
The nurses and everyone else at Canada Blood services were terrific. Very helpful and made the donation process a very easy experience. They also have tons of snacks, drinks and delectable cookies
The best school I have been.
Excellent food and drink and they follow covid rules.
The Cross Cancer Institute "State of the art" cancer treatment facility.
Its a tight service due to government lessen people to work, but nurses and doctors try their whole best to help out.
Beautiful campus and lots of areas through which to walk.
High quality Healthcare here. Very busy now due to covid. You need a reason to come here now as everyone is screened.
The U of A suffers: -massive overcrowding -poor academic reputation -low prestige -very large class sizes -poor professors -no research opportunities -horrible facilities -food that consists of subway and starbucks -nowhere to sit once you wait in line 20 minutes to get your food -abysmal weather, like you are attending school in a dark freezer -ugly campus: utilitarian, Soviet-style buildings -terrible social atmosphere
i spend my best time here.
Consider to change its name to save the provincial name in a good reputation.
Shame on you. You evicted a student because he tried to commit suicide? Instead of having some compassion or attempt to get him help, you threw him out on the street? This is reprehensible!
The best hospital there is,the best care you can find,my hat goes off many times, to all that work there, there the best of the best, give money to them any time of my life thats a number one hospital in the world ,there the best there is
The staff and nurses and doctors are doing a great job under these trying times. My visit was quick, efficient and the nurses and doctors were very pleasant to deal with.
It's a great place to study
Canada's big tourist attraction. Shopping and entertainment under one roof
Great all the way around
Great staff and helpful staff
Good
Was at Cross Cancer Institute. They are wonderful!! They treat you like Royalty.
Accessibility is an issue here. The grill in the hospital building serves great burgers and pretty good onion rings. The university itself has a good reputation really although budget cuts are having an impact across the board at the university. Parking is expensive and limited.
University of Alberta is the most racist I ever heard. If my life is jeopardized, Vice President, President and their agents will be responsible. For example, there is an institutionalized discrimination by establishing a secret "agents" and put students in a "corner": Email correspondence between Dr. Harrington and Ms. Fowler, May 26, 2011: He simply does not follow guidelines given, or will not follow guidance given because he believes he knows best, which is probably the underlying problem with his PhD studies from the beginning, and continues to be the problem with respect to his acceptance of the reality that his Department and Faculty have decided to terminate his studies. Email correspondence between Doctors Harrington, Rude, Swallow and Luckert, March 8, 2011: Thanks for the clarification and for the heavy lifting on this file. James, Marty Luckert and I briefly discussed this issue this morning. At this point, I do not think that we can say that we provided sufficient warning to Adane. Since he started serious work on the Ethiopia nutrition-poverty case a few weeks ago, I would say that his performance has been adequate. However, now that he is stating that he has so much trouble working with James and I, we can move along the line of “failure to secure a supervisor”. We agree that he would provide a specific output by tomorrow. At this point, we propose to wait until after tomorrow before drafting a formal letter along the lines you indicate below. Email correspondence between Dr. Harrington and the Appellant, March 8, 2011: I have emphasized that it is vital that you secure a supervisor or co-supervisors within your department in order to continue with your studies, and I can only urge you once again to work with your department. A subsequent email to the same effect was sent on April 27, 2011. The excerpt is as follows: Failure to secure a supervisor for your studies can be grounds for terminating a program of graduate studies and I have warned you in the past about the potential consequences of your allegations and complaints and their negative effect on your efforts to secure a supervisor for your studies. Email correspondence between Dr. Harrington and Dr. Humphreys, March 14, 2011: Many thanks for your reply. I appreciate the situation. I should clarify that I am not looking for assistance in securing a transfer, and nor was Rural Economy, which wishes to terminate the student’s program. I was simply hoping for the cold facts to present to the student about the likelihood of a transfer, since the student seems to thing [sic] that it would be easy to transfer. I was hoping that you would say that an applicant for transfer would need to put together an application that would be considered by the graduate committee, with this application including information on what the student has done since coming to the U of A, and I was hoping that you would advise that the student would have to start from the beginning e.g. that his courses in Rural Economy would not count towards an Economics degree. Your advice on the non-acceptability of the courses is very useful. Frankly, I am trying to convince the student that a voluntarily [sic] withdrawal is his best option, but the student is being unrealistic and seems to think he can transfer. I have explained that a transfer requires the acceptance of the receiving department, and so your message is helpful in that it is clear that there is no space in Economics. On my return next week, I will be advising the student that a transfer to Economics is not an option, and thus I will go ahead with my decision to accept the recommendation from Rural Economy to require the student to withdraw.
The environment seems a bit pretentious.
I loved my experience at the U of A. Beautiful grounds and a great education.
Excellent staff, very friendly, polite people and knowledgeable, as expected of medical people.
Best hospital in Alberta.
Was a sessional for over 12 years and got dumped with no prior notice. The quality of teaching from full time profs have been dumbed down they don’t teach and the students r given grades they do not deserve cause it’s not education it’s a business
Love the campus, but with all the construction it's not looking its best currently.
The doctors and nurses are dedicated to quality care. They are. great bunch of people
Love the hard working staff!!!
UofA Hospital. World Class!!!!
The best hospital in Edmonton.
My dream started here! I love UofA!
U of A Hospital is the ONLY one to go to in Edmonton. This statement comes from many experiences with the other care centres here. I have witnessed some aweful things at the other places and will not go down that road again... EVER!!!! U OF A IS GREAT. Amazing staff, nurses are fast, efficient, very friendly with great bedside manner. I will be forever in dented to all the wonderful, beautiful people at the U. Thank you For saving my Mother's life.
I live in Renfrew Arms Apartments on 98 ave & 104 street 4+ years, students from here like Jessica (business/yoga) & Jenna (aucupuncture) by city of edmonton and their gangs regularly (24/7) wirelessly shocking and torturing teanants in of renfrew and britania. need help. They bring in hundreds of cars and target individual teanants through 'the horizon apartments' + 'the palisades/broadwalk' + vincity. need help. Sometimes they put digital image of other people's heart and palpitate and burst vulnerable teanant's hearts. need help.
Nice place but it's to big
Very clean and well staffed during these crazy times of covid 19
One of the best in Canada. The quality of education is incredible for professional programs.
Outstanding as always, lots of covid19 protocols in place to protect the public and patient's.
Thy are about the best and technology leading health care in America, I am a livertrasplant, patient. And have spent about 2,3 years in and out of University of Alberta..And very proud of the health care in ALBERTA CANADA ????????.

I enjoyed the programs and supports that directed and guided me through the processes to move forward with anything I was directed at
The U@A is one of most Excellent University in Canada many Great Things have Come From the University Of Alberta I Can't Say More But you Have To Explore it For Yourself.
I don't think this the best university per the following response from Eva Eber admission advisor "Unfortunately we are unable to consider applicants for the Alberta MBA program who already have an MBA degree from another institution." Even if you go to Harvard or Cambridge university you don't see this type of response!!
A great place for school and other activities
Great experiences!
I love this school and I want my daughter to be a student once she’s done with high school.
Good place but places are hard to find
Inspirational place, Nice and quiet.
This is the place where you realize that dreams are dreams and you realize that these dreams will never come to reality. But you make friends who also have their dream crushed and you get along with them so i will add another star for that. yay
Waiting 7 hours in an over crowded emergency waiting room during a pandemic is extremely frightening to me!!
Great doctors working hard to make things better. Thank you.
Good for a stay with good kitchen queen size beds are smaller. Parkade parking additional $ is bazaar. Handy for local business trip
Fabulous studying lecturer
U of A hospital parking is free during our pandemic.
Love my University
Thank you surgeon and doctors, nurses all those assisted me during two weeks of my stay as patient.
lets be fair, actually the class size is really huge, and the profs, some of them are amazing, i had a prof who was the best teacher i have ever had in my life, and i also had the worst prof in my life( actually that was chem prof (....) :( and yeah in general it is okay.
Had a bad experience with the professors and Dean in the law department. I had failed one course and when I asked the professor for help she was on vacation. She didnt reinstate my access to the online notes and sent me decade old exam prep. There is huge variability btw the administrators and the professors.
Very nice
I go yearly for tests. Csre is always top notch!
At the hospital for a cardiac clinic appointment. Long walk.
I delivere water sample to the U of A prob lab on a daily basis. They staff at the hospital are friendly and helpful. Great job ladies.

Went to U of A by Ambulance yesterday for a severe migraine, could hardly lift my head off the floor, Emts gave little pain meds, then got sent to the waiting room for 3 and a half hours puking, and crying in pain... left the hospital going to Grey nuns atleast they take better care of there paitents when they come by ambulance...
Fine campus. Always something worthy to learn about. The “Truth Compassion Tolerance International Art Exhibit” held at the University of Alberta, Canada from November 22 to 24. The artworks manifest the principles of the ancient Chinese …
It was great the staff were helpful. The doctor was clear in in his diagnosis the food was adequate. Although I never want to see chicken or pork loin again
Dr. Angela Lau and her assistant Megan were absolutely amazing they truly care for their patients! If you ever get a chance to select your lung doctor i would 100% recommend Dr Lau
Can anyone tell alberta ca or anyother uni how much cost you for first aid training for work place
One of the best.
Awesome school.
The staff are very nice and dont mind if you need to take a nap in the mri machine. They even provided a warm blanket and back support for those with chronic pain and vascular disorders.
Very good facility. I would highly recommend this University to anyone
So grateful to have such a wonderful group of people, who care so much!! They give the best care around! Highly recommended indeed!
Smiling staff, extremely clean and right on time.
Parking is the only issue here.

Had a two month stay, and staff was excellent and food was gd,all and all was a excellent experience......thank you
Great pre-screening to see patients at the hospital. Keeps us all safe! ????
Busy areas as usual.
Hope UofA will be sensible and change most of their courses to online format soon. The Covid situation in Alberta is spiraling out of control. Other than that it's a fantastic institution.
The nurse at the hospital Station 3 B1 was very very exceptional they were professional I'm very caring I was surprised when I see how they treat the patient included myself it was very nice and it's a blessing to the sick people that aren't there antique years that show
Clean yet a bit confusing because of the covid protocol. Yet the staff was nice and parking was easy to figure out. All in all a pretty good experience.
Have not gone there before
Love our school!
5/5 quality memes
Great swim lessons for kids.
A city within a city. Definitely a world class university and something that Edmonton is very proud of.
The staff is caring and compassionate
Excellent children's hospital.
Thr Cross Cancer Institute is a very client friendly place. The team members are compassionate, friendly bunch. Great place to fell icky.
I work there
Beautiful campus, world-class facility. It's the best educational institution in the province, and is currently ranked about 94th in the world, which is phenomenal when you consider that the world has over 22,000 universities. The campus population is about 30,000. Upgrades to the campus have been well done, but the old Lister Hall residences still need to be overhauled in order to be bearable. The English department is just as wonky as ever, but the U of A is holding its own over the decades. A degree you can be proud of.
I regret studying here, every day.
How can I get my M.D. degree in this place for free?
Very professional and accommodating!
Lots of construction and street patios bad for traffic
Food and service are top notch was at the Trendz kiosk.
The quality of education here is getting inferior. Why? They're diverting away from textbooks, expect students to learn from places like YouTube instead. Textbooks include exercises for students to learn with. YouTube doesn't. Now they expect students to learn topics like math without having exercises to practice with. Profs got told they have to stop using textbooks because too many students couldn't afford them. But profs weren't given enough time to compose reasonable replacements. So students end up dealing with course materials like: "The notes might be restructured and certainly will be improved this term". Without textbooks, students aren't LEARNING the materials well enough. So they artificially increase students' grades. Like adjust midterm weights to put more weight on whichever midterm students score better at. Or have 3 exams and only count the 2 higher grade ones. Making it so grades don't truly reflect how well students know the materials. Might be okay for students who are enrolled to get nice letters on a sheet UofA prints for them. But not for students who are enrolled to LEARN relevant materials. In my experience, diverting away from textbooks is making the quality of their education unacceptable. Enrolled in 2nd degree, it's the most inferior I've ever experienced.
Top place in the world for medical researches
Very professinnal/helpfull
University has the worst parking options for anyone that's not a student. Really confusing entrance and I've seen a bunch of people drive within the quad area because of lack of directions.
Took great care of me
I got a C+ in calc 3 and they refused to bump me up to an A
Great alma mater
The ladies where so careing for the situation i was in
Manditory vaccination facility.
Shannon Turvey is a tool. Avoid her and go to anyone else. She does the absolute bare minimum of her job and has no personality at all. Definitely the worst doctor in the city. Just terrible at her job.
It takes a long time to get things done
What can I say about my university days in Edmonton, the capitol city of Alberta? Arriving Edmonton, Alberta, Canada from Hong Kong, I knew nothing about this city and place, except that I had been accepted by a school called Alberta Collage. Air Canada was on strike while I had to take a flight from Hong Kong to Taipei to San Francisco to Vancouver and then finally arriving Edmonton, all on waiting list. I lost my luggage during the hectic transit, and I knew nobody in Edmonton. Yet those were the worst time, it turned out to be one the best time of my life. I got admitted to University of Alberta, and spent the next 5 years in the campus. It was so wonderful! I met a lot of different students and people from all over all the world! I never heard about them but then I knew that there was the Ukrainian community, which is a big one in Edmonton. I also started to watch Canadian football, when Eskimos were one of the strongest team in the CFL. Then of course, there was the Edmonton OIlers, where hockey is being played on ice! The Oilers were the talk of the town, and with players like Gretzky, Messier, Anderson, Kurri, Coffey, Lowe when they became part of my University life, watching every games whenever possible on TV. I even got a chance to attend a Stanley Cup playoff game between the Oilers and their biggest rivalry Calgary Flames to make up what was known as the "Battle of Alberta" . Also, I was living in HUB, studying at the Rutherford Library, doing computer programs in Tory Building, and finishing at 4 AM, walking back to HUB at 40 below freezing temperature. I also got the opportunity to become a DJ in the campus multicultural radio station. All because of this wonderful University. Thank you for the memory and wish UofA (and their Golden Bears team) well and continue to become the best of University in Canada and in the world!
