I am disappointed to see this school still utilizing the name of Bishop Vital Grandin. I would like to quote him: The Goal of Residential School "We instill in them a pronounced distaste for the native life so that they will be humiliated when reminded of their origin. When they graduate from our institutions, the children have lost everything Native except their blood." - Bishop Vital Grandin in 1875 If this alone isn't cause to call for a change of name, I don't know what is.
