This College belongs to the category of University.
Definitely a university you want to be in to get a great education for future opportunities in fields of Science, Geography, Engineering, Mathematics, and Psychology. Not so well known for smaller departments, but the heart of the Speech Communication is strong, as the teachers there, I find, are the best in the university for their knowledge, passion, kindness and care. It's fabulous that the campus is so dense with buildings - for undergrads, you have tons of classes to go to and when one course lands you on the opposite side of campus, it's no more than a 10 minute trek! Being an Honours student, my course schedule followed my (very diverse) interests and every class was in a different building! Beware the geese. They are super paranoid - I guarantee if you show fear and aggression, you will receive aggression in turn. Many have been attacked. But if you show love and courage, never backing down, they will never harm you. I once had an exam where the line for getting in the exam building (PAC) went clear out the building. It was mating season. I was stuck waiting in a crowd of geese, and one lady geese edged closer and closer to me while stuffing her face with grass. Her hubby wanted to protect her, and started hissing, spitting, and displaying extremely aggressive behaviours, getting closer and closer. The line of people moved away in fear. I looked that geese in the eye and did not budge, smiling and getting into a loving, calm mental space. The angry goose was forced closer and closer and his lady (not paying any mind) ate a path of grass in my direction. I could have sworn she was doing this on purpose! The male, now AT MY FEET, spitting onto my legs, now at the height of his aggressive display. I didn't budge, and continued to read my final exam prep notes. Once he realized his lady was in no danger, he backed off. This is my uWaterloo Goose survival story. No fear for the win!!!
It is a wonderful place to get a first class education
Nice campus...????????
It was great. I learned a whole bunch of CS. International tuition is a pain though.
"Worst university ever. Teaches lies. Don't send your kids here." -Some guy on the internet who doesn't even go to UW P.S. This was satire aimed to mock the recent one-star reviews for Laurier so take this with a grain of salt. UW is a great university, and so is its neighbor university.
1) Maclean's 2016 national rankings of Canadian Universities- 4th rank in best overall. 2) Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2016-top 180 in the world. 3) Top school for Chemical Engineering in Canada. 4) Great campus in Waterloo-Kirchner twin city.
Best university ever!

St Jerome’s has the worst food. Do not stay at this residence if you want a tasty and nutritious meal.
Excellent university!!
Great computer science and the Co-op is for sure top in Canada!
A worldclass university, holding a rank of 25 in engineering World wide, ranked 3rd in Canada on the basis of graduate employability. Best for under graduate studies and research studies.

I finished my Bachelor here, great course great teachers and I met a lot of good friends, some of them are my career partners now. UW is the best
Good
I went to school there for 6 years when you could have gotten a meal for $5 from sunshine express. Had a great time there, still live close by. I love this place, even if it's just because of nostalgia. …
Well my 4 years has gone by quick. I just wanted to say thank you!
Don't go here. It's just a degree mill institution with poor educational quality and a very corrupt administration. It's a horrible place to be with a bad environment with ugly buildings and socially backwards as well. Trust in yourself and not anyone's rankings or ratings. For example, Bill Gates being here was a long time ago and the place is very different now in a negative way, unfortunately. Their co-op program is a lot worse nowadays as well, offering jobs that may pay little or nothing, that people are not qualified for, or are not relevant or related to what that person is studying, making it very difficult sometimes to actually be useful to you, while costing at least $600 extra a term, whether you get a job or not.

A wonderful university. Has an excellent atmosphere and impressive facilities. All of my professors are superb.
Tough and competitive to get into. When I took ESQ and went for an interview, the place is very nice. The staff are kind and I met some helpful students along the way. The buildings are nice.
Great place to learn.
E7 has very good working spaces. Mostly quiet, not cold and has comfortable chairs. I feel very productive working here.
Best school ever
A fine delicacy
Love this university. People are nice. Profs are amazing.
I've heard about U of Ws prestigious co-op programe where students have the opportunity to pursue several 6 month internships. I highly endorse this. The campus itself is beautiful, because of the lush greenery and vast openness. It would be beneficial if there was a lake or seaside view.
profs are amazing
Excellent place!!
Excellence
Great.
There are some beautiful stretches of sidewalk to enjoy close to the University.
I have my fair share of complaints about this school, okay mostly about professors who can't teach. But despite all failings, the engineering co-op program makes an education here more than worth it. It is one of the best things that has happened to me. I'm only halfway through my program but I'm starting to feel less and less like a "student", and more like a professional that happens to also be in school. It's a great atmosphere, and in a city bursting with tech opportunities. Thank you UW.
Love this university. It has such a beautiful campus. Many of the professors are fantastic. Wish there was a few more resources offered to the Arts as the focus has been on Engineering. …
Best university in Canada where students die from suicide EACH SEMESTER starting Winter 2017.
Good environment for students.
Very well established school with excellent class sizes and knowledgeable staff.
I took Engineering here. Great program with great professors.
very good
Being a member of the U15, the group of research-intensive universities in Canada, WU is quite famous for its co-operative education programs that allows students combine their learning with relevant work experiences. A lot of students like this option as it provides them with great job opportunities that help them secure desirable jobs/professions upon graduation. The university keeps scoring and holding honorable position among many schools on the global level. The competitive culture within the school, in addition to great and well-designed programs, like the computer engineering, make Waterloo a great place to study. Innovation, entrepreneurship, and the great quality of learning make this university one of the top schools in the country. Finally, being in the heart of Waterloo is a great advantage as this city is not a crazy metropolitan, yet you're only one hour away of that craziness if you like to enjoy it every now and then! There's a room for improvement in areas like the design of some classrooms that have no windows (Math Bldg), the Athletic Complex, and the stress issue that many students keep reporting.
UW is a highly innovative school with a can-do attitude. They have a great co-op program that really helps improve your employment opportunities upon graduation. Also, I have always been impressed with their student services.
Great place if you want to do engineering and gain work experience!
I used to go there now I'm a better University
Great.
The University of Waterloo (commonly referred to as Waterloo, UW, or UWaterloo) is a public research university with a main campus in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The main campus is on 404 hectares (998 acres) of land adjacent to "Uptown" Waterloo and Waterloo Park. The university offers academic programs administered by six faculties and thirteen faculty-based schools. The university also operates three satellite campuses and four affiliated university colleges.[10][11] Waterloo is a member of the U15, a group of research-intensive universities in Canada.[12] The University of Waterloo is most famous for its co-operative education (co-op) programs, which allow the students to integrate their education with applicable work experiences. The university operates the largest post-secondary co-operative education program in the world, with over 20,000 undergraduate students in over 140 co-operative education programs.
Great Campus
big beautiful campus, expect to walk a lot
Great optometrist ????????
Best University.. my sister stufy. I am not but wish they guve me scholarship.. and then i study here

Excellent University!!!!!!!
Don't go to this University for biological science. Engineering programs are gold and the co-op program is one of the best.
Excellent STEM University and the Co-Op program is one of the best in North America IMHO!
Top notch inclusive University at the forefront of science education and research with wide open doors for community participation, education and outreach. Public events / seminars give the opportunity to stay up to date with latest research in quantum physics, nanotechnology, computer science, math, biology, engineering, etc. The student coop program facilities getting insights into real life economy experiences.

I've been to several jails across the country, and this one is by far the most comfortable. Took off one star due to geese overpopulation.
Show no regard for student mental health.
Great university based on my daughter's comments and suggestions.
Came for the physics, stayed for the memes. An undergraduate degree well spent.
The best I never wanted to leave

Wonderful place for its nice, clean and beauty.
The Columbia lake is just beside the university.it is a beautiful place. It is also some birds' home.
water water water
A great university !!! Happy I chose to come here!
Great place for higher learning leading edge quantum research but check on Covid Shut down factors
Great education but a poor place to be. Paying $8k+ per semester does not guarantee any suitable facilities, even in brand new buildings. (Broken floors 1 month into the new E7? ????) Get it together Waterloo. Only reason to go here is the coop. #CaliOrBust Also the geese are everywhere. I mean EVERYWHERE.
Proud of being a student here. Through the coop program, you are more likely to explore the real job world a lot more than students from other universities. You will meet all kinds great people here -- the ones that study really hard, the ones that find awesome job, the ones that make a lot of friends, and the ones that have innovative ideas and want to change the world. Work load: Depends on your program, the work load will be drastically different. Most engineering programs have classes from 830am to 4pm. For engineering, its very common to have team project or lab report every single term, so teamwork is very important. Lab and equipment access: Engineering labs open 24/7 except on holidays. MME engineering also has a place where you will get free access to 3d printer, laser cutter and CNC machine. There is also a machine shop around the E5 bay area. If you want to study engineering or cs, this is one of the best universities in Canada if not the best.
I was first a student and now a staff, but I have always enjoyed my time at UW. This institution is world renowned for it's beautiful campus (aggressive geese aside), it's updated and modern facilities, fantastic faculty, and all around pleasant student population. Boasting as a STEM school, UW has a multitude of quality programs available from engineering, mathematics, science, environment, and the arts - all of which are top notch. I'm not just saying this because they pay my rent, the University of Waterloo is a first class post secondary institution. Now where's my bonus? ;)
Very organized campus, scenic view all around the campus, systematic on-line approach for every service, free go transport service around all of Waterloo, invaluable and experienced faculty members, helpful staffs around the campus. In one word-lovely!
Great looking place. Clean
Great place for study. Love u WL ))))
Best school ever
Awesome...!!
Great truly is amazing to see all the changes around here I grew up not far from the UofW in the 50s and 60s wasn't a lot here then just a couple of buildings and down the Ave was Waterloo Lutheran University??????????????
I lovevit
I'm really happy to have decided to choose the University of Waterloo as my place to call home away from home
Cozy city, friendly people
Amazing university.Really very proud to being student here.
The plaza close to University of Waterloo has a diverse set of restaurants , comvinient stores and even clinics. And for folks who want halal food there's a lot here
Good times!!
70 bucks
I came here and graduated.
A city founded by germans, named after the Battle of Waterloo (Napoleon) - located in the home country of the Rothschild children! But seriously, a great university - great people.
Me and my class enjoy spending time in University of Waterloo we talk about Natural Disaster and I love playing with sand and building the tower.
The best university I have ever seen...however not perfect :-)
Lowest communication level and unprofessionalism I ever experienced in all universities I applied to in Canada and internationally especially from Julie Pocock and Andrew Tolmie in admission. Disgusting ! From not acknowledging receiving of documents to sending us wrong deadlines, ignoring phone calls and emails and very rude over the phone!! Lowest level of professionalism I ever experienced from a university !
One of the top 5 best places to become one of the greatest engineers. Above 90 grade required.
Beautiful University
Really ugly campus. Brutally difficult undergraduate programs, but you certainly get your money's worth.
Hands down best school in Canada
Great university! The best place to learn engineering.
Very student friendly
Best co-op program
Full of world-renown clubs and programs, uWaterloo offers plenty for all its students. As part of the GBDA program, I get to experience both main campus and the Stratford satellite campus. Both are packed with resources and potential for students to use free of charge.
A truly nice place to study.
As a student visiting UW for a conference I must say it's an amazing school. Faculty and students are nice, newer areas of campus like the new engineering buildings are modern and overall the campus is kept clean. Definitely a top notch Canadian research university.
Epic
My goul is to become a software engineer and set my in this University. Please pray for me

Students are amicable; clean campus and rigorous math programs. Great Co-op!
I go to school here...
amazing
Dropped in for a JV game Hamilton and Cambridge. Ti-cats kicked ass. Would be great if there was an area covered against the elements. For such an expansive facility I was surprised to see none
Really nice place. Technology around every corner!
Such an amazing campus.
A very challenging and rewarding physics program, and excellent co-op opportunities.
Too good for any student
The Humanities Theatre here is the location of the World Religion conference this year.
Stressful and my friend suicide because of the pressure.
People often say they don't like how the campus looks, but in the summer time especially, it's not too bad. Watch out for geese though. That part's true.
If you're in town... you are probably going to visit UW. Start out in the Student Life Centre, and pick up some maps and tour!
Great place to work and learn!
I have been in University of Waterloo for their hackathons. Beautiful campus and nice people ????.
All getting better, now Christmas break. Covid under control.
I went and spent around a month with my cousin inside the university attending classes, seeing activities and taking part in them, the experience was most excellent and i'm applying here this year, i couldn't help but see some others scoring this university lowly, if u don't have a good reason for it refrain from useless comments and unfair scores, the atmosphere isn't competitive at all and all the students are willing to help with your academic progress. =)
This university can be thought of as the MIT of canada
3.5 - Good for the most part, especially during my first 2 years there. Met a lot of good people while going there. Some decent opportunities available, but you will need to learn earlier on to be competitive in the market (tough competition against some of the bigger fish in the lake). It`s okay if you can`t guareentee promising futures, but please DON`T mislead people with inflated statistics. Also, if you are going to charge a co-op fee, at least get the student`s year of study right!
Awesome. One of the best university in Canada.
Great university, smart professors, high tech buildings and classrooms, has a student union with many services, numerous clubs, many food places including a 24 hr convenience store, lots of study spots in the libraries and some study spots in most other buildings.
Campus is great except in winter times, school promotes innovation and entrepreneurship and fits along today's social values.
Hands down best Middle Eastern food you'll have in North America, no boost.

Very busy place for the matenance workers.
They provide excellent tours. The buildings are very modern and they are truly innovative. The campus is easy to reach, despite far from Toronto. Their system of WATcard is very cool.
Amazing
Perfect in every way! Great profs for finance. Many new classrooms. Love the food! Co-op program makes university almost free :)
Very nice place
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to study here. Had an amazing time and met great professors that KNEW how to teach their students! I also met the love of my life while studying there, so thank you! :-)
One of the most amazing campuses I have seen in my life. UWaterloo doesn't just spread the ambiance of cutting-edge research by its beautifully constructed buildings and laboratories but also a sense of aesthetic naturalism by its in-campus flora and fauna.

Best courses.
my dream universty. I want to come here after 3 years and say I won. I already love Canada. Studying abroad requires a lot of work. I hope my efforts will pay off and I will be successful.
Bunch of nerds lol
Education wise, don't come here if you're not in co-op or CS basically. There are some decent co-op positions available even for non-CS majors but you have to play the system well; unfortunately it's kind of something you have to learn as you go. I hated the campus. The weather is depressing. The buildings are depressing. I've visited UBC, UofC, UofT, USask, Queen's, McGill, and probably some other campuses that I'm forgetting, just to give you an idea that I've seen a variety of schools across the country (and a few other campuses in other countries). UWaterloo is the ugliest campus I have ever seen. Enjoy the few good spots in the few good months (spring term) if you're even around (most students aren't). Don't underestimate the value of aesthetics in your quality of life. You're the one who has to walk through it every single day. I never visited the school before I accepted my offer and I regretted it. If you're a prospective student seriously visit the campuses before you decide on a school.
good

I gave a lecture here and the facilities were first rate. Wonderful faculty and very promising students. Always happy to return. Thanks.
Columbia Park. Columbia lake . Nice old trees. Sports pitches. Benches. Barbecue grill. Fire pit.
Great place to study especially for Computer Science.
Great place to study engineering.Got my MEng in civil engineering from here.????
Good school + education. I’ve only done it online so far though. Some of the content online isn’t too palatable (e.g. math courses). They don’t do anything to prevent cheating.
(Translated) Great place to study if you are an exchange student, teachers, staff and very friendly locals with foreign people, without doubting a place to which I would return without thinking. The university also operates three satellite campuses and four affiliated university colleges. The university offers academic programs administered by six faculties and thirteen faculty-based schools. Waterloo operates the largest post-secondary co-operative education program in the world, with over 20,000 undergraduate students enrolled in the university's co-op program. Waterloo is a member of the U15, a group of research-intensive universities in Canada. The institution originates from the Waterloo College Associate Faculties, established on 4 April 1956; a semi-autonomous entity of Waterloo College, which was an affiliate of the University of Western Ontario. This entity formally separated from Waterloo College and was incorporated as a university with the passage of the University of Waterloo Act by the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in 1959. It was established to fill the need to train engineers and technicians for Canada's growing postwar economy. It grew substantially over the next decade, adding a faculty of arts in 1960, and the College of Optometry of Ontario (now the School of Optometry and Vision Science), which moved from Toronto in 1967. The university is a co-educational institution, with approximately 41,000 undergraduate and 6,900 postgraduate students enrolled there in 2019. Alumni and former students of the university can be found across Canada and in over 150 countries; with a number of award winners, government officials, and business leaders having been associated with Waterloo. Waterloo's varsity teams, known as the Waterloo Warriors, compete in the Ontario University Athletics conference of the U Sports. The university's main campus lies within the city of Waterloo, Ontario. It sits on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishnaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples that is part of the Haldimand Tract, land promised to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. It is bordered by Waterloo Park to the south, Wilfrid Laurier University to the southeast, residential neighbourhoods to the northeast, east and west, and the Laurel Creek Conservation Area to the northwest. Three numbered roads also intersect the main campus: University Avenue West, Columbia Street West, and Westmount Road North. While the main campus is 404 hectares (998 acres), the majority of the teaching facilities are centred on a ring road in its southern portion. The oldest building on campus is the Graduate House, originally a farmhouse dating back to the 19th century. The oldest building which was erected for the university is the Douglas Wright Engineering Building, which was erected in 1958. A large majority of the university's buildings, and its ring road, were constructed during the 1960s. The university's main campus is divided into three major areas: South Campus, North Campus and Northwest Campus. South Campus is the academic core of the university, while North Campus holds the Research and Technology Park. Northwest Campus is the least developed area of the main campus, made up primarily of farm fields and an environmental reserve, which divides it from North Campus. In addition, the university owns several other properties in Cambridge, Huntsville, Kitchener, and Stratford, Ontario. The Ion rapid transit system provides a transit connection between the main campus, and several off-campus facilities, including the university's start-up incubator program in Kitchener.
Good
Went there to obtain OSAP OAN number and temporary password. Waiting area was nice and clean, wait time was short, and the lady at the desk was nice and helpful.
Awesome university
I owe my entire professional career to my 5 years at Waterloo and the co-op program! Definite 5 star institution!
Full of Memories
Love my school, faculty, peers, and professors. They come from the best the front line of the industry/academy. And they genuinely care for you to be successful. Co-op could be stressful, but it’s worth a while. Go Warrior!
A great school for engineering with a stellar co-op system not matched anywhere else.
Best engineering school in Canada.
One of the best physics undergraduate programs in the country. Well regarded for science and mathematics.
Best college
It's an amazing university. You can literally watch yourself getting smarter while you study here. The faculty is really good and there are immense opportunities on campus with respect to innovation. It's a tough university and you must study extremely hard to stay here. All in all I'd say it's one of the best universities in the world.
Very bad university.
While somewhat lacking in rendered textures, the extent of interaction available with NPCs in the scene is astounding, and greatly enjoyable. Even the goose NPCs did not break my immersion. 8/8 no h8
Nobody on this campus is getting laid. Nuff said
A great research and innovative university which offers a wide range of courses. Had a great exchange experience at UoW.
One of the best universities, anywhere.
(Translated) The school network facilities are particularly poor, and it feels very backward …
Amazing school.
Hello Waterloo. Looking Good
Too much concrete No outdoor track
Just to summarize experience over here: Plenty of bills and lousy marks that what you will end up with. I suggest if you are from some other city; just stay local and don't be a burden to your family.
I am a recent Mathematics grad from Waterloo. Waterloo offers a range of courses and career opportunities in multiple fields. The coop program offered in most programs further prepares students for full time career and ease of finding a job right out of graduation (almost 2 years work experience right out of graduation). While the school is academically focused and challenging at times, there are always events going on around the campus and people to hang out with. It is what you make it and I think if you are career focused and want to make meaningful connections, Waterloo is the place to be.
Best experience guaranteed
I've been here for only one year and cant explain how remarkable my experience has been. New friends that are now family. Incredible teachers. Overall great learning and life experience.
Nobel Prize That’s cool
Great place to learn/work.
Nice and very good. I like it.
The Best!!
Many student-fooling taxpayer-mooching profs here have been dragging down the school's teaching quality for years. High-quality profs can illuminate even the most complex of theories, but at UWaterloo even simple ones are often obfuscated by layers after layers of gratuitous vague glosses bloviated by many ill-qualified profs. UWaterloo's teaching quality indicator scored merely 35.8 out of 100 on the 2020 THE ranking (a fail even by the most lenient standards), although its reputation indicator score was remarkably high. A paradox? No. Its much-hyped reputation is mostly network-based (i.e. like other large public institutions, it produces a very large batch of graduates every year who work everywhere around the globe) and thus has little to do with solid and substantial academic prestige as do real universities like the Ivy League. Also, many applicants were deceived into thinking it's a real "university" when it doesn't even have a business school, a law school, a medical school, or a proper design school for that matter. The "Faculty of Health Sciences", for instance, is a placeholder medical school that doesn't even have a real M.D education (and believe it or not, there's a university that would throw a major like 'Leisure studies' in there). There is no such thing as a "Faculty of Math" as Mathematics, along with its specializations, properly belongs to the College of Arts and Sciences as one single major/sub-department. A fully-fledged business school should have a professional MBA program in addition to majors such as Real Estate, Finance, Marketing and Management. A Law School should have Juris Doctor (J.D.) programs. As a public university funded by the taxpayers: Either deliver better quality teaching to the taxpayers, or dismantle all the placeholder courses/programs/departments to help ease taxpayer burdens, instead of spending more dollars on sanctimonious politically-engaged talks of social justice.
I will forever regret wasting 5 years of my life in this place. It’s great if you only care about getting a job (coop) but if you’re looking for an education it is not the place for you.

Do your research before apply for this school. It offers co-op and nothing else. Your school experience will depend on how good your first employer and coop experience are. IMO the school itself offer absolutely nothing. Get a comprehensive look at this school. Updated Sept 2015: I change my 2 stars to 1 star because, Many of the coop “jobs” nowadays do not offer you money. ($0) I think McD and Timmy still pay $11.25.
My son is a intern student at university of Waterloo
Super and super
Great place to stay. However, there is not much to do there.....
Terrible school where politics matters more than integrity and money matters more than students, IMO. Don’t get me wrong, there are more good profs than bad profs here, but I still won’t recommend this institution to anyone — unless they cannot get accepted somewhere else. A number of UW students committed suicide in the past few years.
Great university but the environment is dangerous. I felt safer in the streets of Detroit than walking through the geese infested campus. I was once brutally attacked by an entire gang of geese who took my belongings and my dignity. Overall, I had a blast here for the tour but they waitlisted me and I didn't end up coming to this university.
School of Optometry is first class!
I have just finished my first year at the University and it has been a great experience. UW's co-operative program is amazing and the university is world renowned for its Mathematics Faculty. Forever a Waterloo Warrior!!
Very quiet during this weird depressing yr we are dealing with. I was wrking tonight and the University looks lime a ghost twn.
Hiked tuition midway through the term in 2014. Imagine buying a sandwich and then half way through eating it, the clerk comes over and asks you for some more money. Will not close due to hazardous conditions placing staff and students at risk. 0/10 would not recommend to prospective students.
Best university
I work here. Always a great place to be.
nice place
Much better than Waterloo of the South (MIT). Highly recommend
University of Suicide.
My favourite place . Thanks
segregating students based on there health status , great job
Such a beautiful campus. If you want to do something amazing in life and want to achieve something in future this place is like a temple for you.highly recommended
One of the best universities in Canada
If you're looking for community and school spirit, this place probably isn't for you. If you're looking for academic excellence and state-of-the-art research (unless you're in a few specific STEM fields), this place isn't really for you. If you're looking for a place to complete your degree so you can get a job and you don't care about academia, this place is what you want.
Best coop program and engineering program in all of Canada
Beautiful campus to explore
Benefits of Title insurance is when there is no reliance on lawyer's opinion on title in case the title was registered under the Registry Act. UW has always been superb in withholding this policy to international and domestic students.
Graduated from UW 15 years ago and moved to California. Visited the campus today again bring back good memories at UW. I'm proud to be a UW alumni.
Go Warriors
Best University ever I can not wait until I start taking classes in person.
its a fantastic gem and so freakin fun in the summer
BEST SCHOOL EVER.
Interesting place to learn more.
The campus is so beautiful! It was my first visit after my son made it, that made it doubly nice. I love the atmosphere. Intense and chilled. Many great food places. I will coming here every week, for the next little while. Hard to picture that.
Location sucks. Some profs are decent, but it's luck of the draw, and playing the course swapping game. Feeds are ridiculous, typical for this kind of education nowadays however.
My favourite place. , carrier making place and you learn a lot.
(Translated) The University of Waterloo is a very good university. Students can have time to work while studying. After reading, they can have work experience and it will be very helpful for students to find a job. (Original) 滑鐵盧大學是很好的大學,学生可以在学习的同時有時間去工作在读完书后就能有工作经验对学员找工作有非常好的帮助。
I'm not a student, but assisted with F.A.S.S. and loved it!
What I liked about this university is academics are excellent. The profs are amazing. The students a little racist sometimes but I'm use to it.
Every knowledge of Uwaterloo that I have came from my son who is crazy about the school and it’s environment. If he is blessed with an admission offer to the faculty of engineering, I will take my time to actually, savor first hand the beauty and glory that is regarded as Uwaterloo
Good management but they need to give extra attention to international students, they feel more lonely . Need more staff to help them .
Toughest uni
not worth it

So far so good!
This is literally where dreams come to die. Professors don't care and everyone is miserable.
This school ripped out my soul and murdered it. Now all that's left inside me is memes and Mr. Panino. They also have a really nice co-op program.
NEED MORE CHICKS!
Great University. Did few courses here. But the city around is ugly. Empty and breaking apart. The city hall is not very good.
Great University with a lot of diversity....
I'm a student here and I think it's a great school
Having a great time in the university, great profs and great people. It also lives up to the hype of its difficulty as far as academics is involved. It may not have the most attractive campus, but it is easy to find your way around (and that's what is important). If you plan on going into science, math, applied health science, or engineering, I suggest taking a look at UWaterloo!
Too much homework!
Honestly my worst ramen experience in my life. I ordered a black tonkotsu ramen. When I got it, the broth was cold, the noodles stiff, and worst of all, the restaurant didn't serve sake I could use to forget the terrible service. The tempura had zero crunch and I am convinced the chef has never eaten a single tempura in all their years of existence. Would never recommend.
Confusing, but should be a good experience for our daughter
Wonderful!
Everyone in Financial services department is not helping with anything, they are there not for students. sometimes the way they do business is just unreasonable and the employees’ mindset is not mature enough.
The best place to study. Juhi goes here too
Great Engineering University
like it
Great University for good job!
Awesome university but too much work!!!!
Canada Day 2018.
Waterloo isn't a bad school. It has a lot of things going for it (mainly co-op). However, from my experience in Engineering, their curriculum is very limiting. If you are in one of the core Engineering programs (civil, mech, chem etc.) it's almost like you are forced to take the courses they assign you and are given very little freedom to personalize you education and actually take classes you like. They kind of just assume all the potential career paths their undergraduate engineering students will take and give them just those courses needed. This is not entirely the case for the Systems, Tron and ECE programs. (weird that most start ups come from these programs too, huh?). They get a lot more freedom with their curriculum from what i've seen. From my perspective, it looks like Waterloo prioritizes and gives more liberty to the more tech related programs. But who knows, I may be wrong. Oh well, at least you only have to put up with it 4 months at a time.
Honestly did not like it. I am an undergraduate in Engineering. Trust me in this school if you don't do coding it's a waste of time. Everybody judges each other by how much they make in their coop, if you are not in a coding job, the best you can get is in the mid of 20 dollars per hour. Then you are pitied by people who work in Cali. I have to say most of my fellow classmates are really cocky but I understand they are smart enough to do it. Doing coop is a constant struggle, four month work then four month school, I move around up to ten times in four years and I can say I am really tired of it. Anyway hopefully I can get a job after graduation in this economy and be able to afford renting a place with my own washroom, otherwise I have no idea why I attend this university. Had no life in these five years, which should be the best part of my whole life. So if I get a time machine to go back to the past, no I am not choosing it again.
Best law school in all over the ontario.,
It went well beautiful city
I love my landlord
ECE OMG
Transferred after first year. Very Dull school.
diet residential school
Waterloo is awesome. look at the technology that formed around this place !! Absolutely the best school for undergrad engineering and Math and computer science because of coop mostly ...
not a half bad undergrad
Brilliant School......!
i love it
Excellent faculty, diverse courses, world class degrees and a beautiful campus. Completed two degrees here. Loved it. Highly recommend. Very selective admissions, but this results in prestigious degrees. Five star institution.
(Translated) Spicy chicken school engages student mentality! Many professors have poor class quality, and exams are difficult! Don't come to this university for class! (Original) 辣鸡学校搞学生心态!很多教授上课质量太差,考试还难!别来这个大学上课!
i love this place!!!
