Here you have the reviews of people who use the products of Western University (College) in the area of London (Canada).
Right now the firm receives a score of 4.3 over 5 and this score has been based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average score it has is positive, and it's founded on a high number of scores, so we can say that the score is quite credible. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well with the business, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to put feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This College is classified in the category of University.
Location - easy to get to by car or bus. Facilities - always improving/upgrading and adding new and exciting spaces for staff and students - grounds are beautifully maintained. Sports - as a spectator, I've enjoyed watching football, hockey, soccer and swimming events. There is something for everyone with an interest in participating in sports. Academics - (last but not least) Excellent course offering. Both of my children graduated from Western (Ivey Business and Main Campus) with honours. If you put in the work, you can achieve the grades and as in both of my son's cases, find a great job upon graduation. If you are a student looking for a University, Western has a lot to offer with great resources as long as you take advantage of them.
Pretty campus. Scary geese.
Spent my last four years here, definitely the most memorable time of my life. Highly recommended for those who pursue academic success and practical life and work skills. Luv ya forevereverever. :D
Great university experience overall however my Psychology degree has proved me pointless so I wouldn’t recommend doing it unless you’re going to go on to become a psychologist
Worst institution ever. The level of curruption in the university is horrendous. Don't care about students at all.
1) Canadian ranking: 11; World ranking 196. 2) I have the best grad school experience at Western in Canada. 3) Love the Campus and everything about Western.
Best place
I worked here for Co-op for IT. If you can snag this gig, do it
I have never attend to the University of Western Ontario (UWO) as a person who graduated with a secondary school diploma and have been outside of high school for over a couple years. I am not in school, and I am done with schooling for life. My argument of my review is about most of the students from this university are causing so much chaos. Whenever I am at CF Masonville Place, there will always be UWO students at Masonville Mall buying clothes, shoes, makeups, electronics, Starbucks or Aroma Expresso coffees, restaurant and buying alcohol from the LCBO or Farm Boy’s just across Masonville Place. They used their student loan money from OSAP (Ontario Student Apprentice Program) which is meant for their essential needs and paying their education besides going out for a shopping spree and they think they own Masonville Mall. Seriously, can all the UWO students just stop thinking you run Masonville Mall since this city (London, Ontario) is the only University they have to offer whether they are from here, outside of the city or from overseas. They will always party and blow away their OSAP money on alcohols. They do litter besides throwing it in a trash bin. They always want student discounts of 10% Off; which it is even that much since it is like paying your food or items without the tax. Let CF Masonville Place be fit everyone, and it is not own by the University of Western Ontario. Masonville Place is own by Cadillac Fairview, so that is why there is a “CF” on Masonville Place. People going to post-secondary school will spend thousands of dollars for a few years, and they will never find a good paying job. I will never get near to anyone who goes to UWO; when I am at Masonville Mall. I understand Masonville Mall has nothing to do with UWO, but a lot of students comes here all the time.
Amazing place great people
Its a good university experience
Excellent service, and professional experience
No v*x choice
Emergency staff, nurses and doctors were all very friendly and helpful and made my stay there more enjoyable.
Beautiful campus, great student support services, and passionate professors.
Western is definitely one of the best universities you could go to!
Excellent place to study.
I'm now going to base the future of my life off these google reviews. Thank you all for showing my the path to the right university.... on google reviews..

So wonderful and caring staff.
They are just money making machines, who take money and a lot of your effort in name of application process. Then they simply do not offer admission and their department never ever gets back to you with any sort of feedback. Rude, pathetic people
My daughter is loving her time here! Go Mustangs!
The best university in Canada.. ???? ????
Best of Canada
Great experience to study in university with the most beautiful campus.
Beautiful campus! Lots to see when walking around inside and out! As a student I was treated as a number not a person. Their priority is clearly to make money, not support their students. There should be a better balance between the two.
Great school and campus. Job opportunities are strong at their business school.
Beautiful campus
Great place to study, interact, grow, and graduate from but as an institution it tends to pander to what is current, in vogue, and politically expedient. I would not recommend this school for those who desire an objective, critically detached, and impartial interface with the academic world as there are schools in Ontario and Canada at large which can better achieve that. Western is clearly agenda-ist, it's faculty largely sectarian and intellectually partisan. In some respects the intelligentsia/academia has given way to the corporate drive and brand emphasis that has made Western more than just a university but also a growing business and this of course has led it to being more open to an ethics of compromise. Beautiful campus and modern facilities. Known for its business, engineering, medical and law schools as well as its athletic excellence. One of the most expensive universities to attend in the country.
Great University!!!!!
You should trust your students to make the appropriate decision for themselves. Coercion isn't cool. Everyone understands that vaccines work and have been used for decades, but that doesn't give us the right to force people who may have valid concerns. It is very sad to see free thought stifled.
No matter where you walk there’s always a beautiful view! Great university, demands time and real effort. Could be better at guiding students, but felt more like a number in classes here compared to the affiliates. Plenty of students during Fall/Winter term but pretty quiet during the summer.
Matter of fact is that, if you find that a university is not for you, you should take that cue as an indicator that you should probably transfer instead of wasting your 4 years of undergrad at a school you dislike. Most of the negative feedback is nothing but "I didn't like it." Well, so why did you stay? Personally, I love Western to the core and can say from personal experience that as long as you ensure that you are involved with school life, staff and faculty members, you will always find help and compassion. As long as you are goal-driven and reach out, you will find all the support you need to do well in your studies. And let's not forget all the beauty that penetrates the walls and students of Western. One thing I've learned whilst taking my undergrad at Western: Work hard, play harder

Love being part of such incredible history. So proud of my kid. #WESTERNDAD
Good scenery and athletic center. Western has decent academic focus, especially in medical science and the Ivey Business school. It also has a good philosophy program. Small class sizes in less selective programs may lead to greater opportunities in research, etc.
Nice compounds, green grass and nice trees..in fact i love this university and i can't wait to study there????????
Medical school and robarts research institute
Beautiful campus, great student experience, excellent education. I have completed one degree and am currently completing another at this excellent institution and I cannot recommend it enough. So much to do!
so great
(Translated) I am a freshman. The first impression Western gave me was that there were so many girls, and most of the people around were Med Sci or bmos. Everyone who comes here usually has a common vision, such as entering Med School and ivey business school. After coming here, I deeply felt the hard work of my friends around me. And I am inferior to others in many areas, and sometimes I can even be crushed severely. Although I have many shortcomings; living and studying in a place full of strong people has more inspire me to follow the good ones. "Seeing the good and thinking together, and self-examination when seeing the bad", I think this sentence is especially suitable for everyone who has just entered school. The meaning of studying abroad is actually very simple, that is, let our descendants stop studying abroad (this sentence is a pun, please remember carefully). Finally, please allow me to encourage everyone with the words of the beloved Premier Zhou Enlai, "Read for the rise of China!"
The University of Western Ontario (UWO), corporately branded as Western University as of 2012 and commonly shortened to Western, is a public research university in London, Ontario, Canada. The main campus is on 455 hectares (1,120 acres) of land, surrounded by residential neighbourhoods and the Thames River bisecting the campus's eastern portion. The university operates twelve academic faculties and schools. It is a member of the U15, a group of research-intensive universities in Canada.
Nice University, although traffic can be very bad at certain times.
Go Mustangs, completed my BA in Sociology here, second to none! Love Western
Very helpful
Csuse i just do!!!!!!
Beautiful campus.

Wow
????????????????
From my experience at the open house, Western has great facilities, and prestigious programs (e.g. Ivey Business).
Great place!
Great university.
One of the best universities in Canada
Western is a world class institution where great minds meet great professors and great students, it's a school with multiple programs for undergraduate, graduate and PhD with experience professors, adequate equipment, research laboratories and serene environment for learning.
Spectacular engineering program!
I love this school. The gender, sexuality and feminist research faculty is amazing. The Queer library is a hidden gem in Weldon.
I had the time of my life at the university. I'm kind of sad that they are calling it 'Western University ' and not "The University of Western Ontario". I'm not very impressed with the acrylic tacky looking sign in the front and back of the campus but I guess change is sometimes hard. MOST professors are accommodating. Professor Teevan is most memorable to me. What a great statistics professor.
very good
best university in this world
Fun times
Awesome
All the staff were wonderful making my stay that much better
I can see why Western has a drinking and party problem when you have a psychology professor promoting to young students the use of alcohol in order to relax.
Amazing university. Great people and friends, they are super helpful and very smart. Taking calc 1500 is not recommend though.
Awesome and world famous university
UNSAFE UNIVERSITY!
Beautiful campus with full of students
Today was a horrible day for me because the nurses and staff were very rude and not friendly at all. I feel very disappointed to have had a bad experience like this in a hospital ????????????
Everyone there is very professional and great care
In grad school, it has seemed okay up to this point.
Better than McMaster Uni
Great place
It's like Fanshawe but if Fanshawe sucked.
Beautiful campus. Last week I met bunch of new-comer friend, they asked me what do I do, I told them I am learning in western University in Mandarin, it does sound like a fake university from a province in China. 西安大略大学,西安省的大略大学,I should get used to 韦仕敦大学. LOL. But I can tell as a student from Western University, it is a pretty good university in Canada. Cheers~
There are a few reasons why I love this university: 1) The campus is absolutely stunning. The older style of the buildings give the campus a very intelligent and dignified look. There are also lots of plants and wildlife. 2) The professors (for the most part) are really good at their jobs. They seem to actually care about how you do in the course and try to guide you through the course rather than just tell you the information. 3) The school doesn't get up in your face to participate in things. There are a few clubs who speak to the class before lectures but there is no real harassment. I've only been stopped two times in the past year by someone who wanted me to donate money to a cause. 4) The atmosphere is amazing! Everybody seems to be at a reasonable maturity level. I don't live on campus so I'm not too sure about the atmosphere after class hours but nobody acts like an idiot. It's very different from high school and I feel like I belong.
The best university!!
Amazing Education
Western University creating segregation. It's a shame to see a high class University with such radical views.
2/10 rating give to this university, first, the campus is beautiful, second, the girls are beautiful. Students experience? Not too beautiful.
Best education experience
Sucks
This is the most ridiculous place ever. If you're ever thinking of visiting, or going to take a look around, don't bother. They're horrible to their students and visitors. I can't believe what I've witnessed.
I had a wonderful experience during my undergrad. Facilities, educators, everything was great.
Every one was helpful and professional
Great University. Good people, nice city. B.Sc. Eng.
A dream university to attend to. There are many reasons for which I would like to go for this university: 1) The campus is really vast. You might get lost inside the number of buildings. …
Beautiful campus, great university

Nice place, friendly staff.
The best university ever
Dr.s, nurses and assistants were great University Hospital in London have the greatest caregivers I have ever met. London should be proud to stand up for them. Thanks Ricky Somerville.
Good
good university
Nice campus
4 years double majoring anthropology and psychology have helped me become the best grocery clerk I could ever be.
I can't wait for four years to be done in high school before I leave to go university of Western Ontario
Employed for over 35 yrs at UWO
I dont know I ride threw it.
As a science undergraduate, I feel sorry for some chemistry student who had terrible years at Western as comment shows. Hopefully everyone could get on his/her own track and carry on. I also did some chemistry courses with Prof. Calvin and Prof. Griffiths, personally I think they are really responsible and helpful. You could only get a sense for how good or bad the university is when you study somewhere else. When I exchange to a so called top university in the UK in my third year, well I would say Western DOES offer much much better science programs and study experiences. Won't regret to be at Western.
Medical sciences is an amazing program!
Better school than Queen's don't @ me.
Enjoy my study years here. There are issues but the improvement overlap those issues, making it an awesome experience.
Everyday is a dream.
Feels grand and secluded in a good way.
So basically you pay 10k a year to be able to write an exam at the end. Because most Professors don't care if you understand material and you end up studying everything all over at home on your own. Staff is rude and unprofessional. But parties and concerts were lit though that should make up for it right?
It was a very positive day
More business than school imo
Best Muslim University in Canada.
Best four years of my life at this university. I went to the affiliate college, King's College. Amazing professors, and smaller classes.
University Hospital is top notch!!
An excellent university with a wonderful campus. You feel you're somewhere special --- and are. Although I graduated years ago, I still visit as a member of the Alumni Association board.

should leave this school asap
Wonderfull staff, and doctors in the ER dept. Slow wait times but you can thank sock boy priminister for that!
I was there early April, for a horrible tooth infection. Receptionist (Kristi) went above & beyond her job to squeeze me in. She was so compassionate. The dental surgeon (Dr. J. Soparlo) was fantastic! He stayed after clinic closed to look after me. I really appreciated that since it was Friday.. The follow-ups I had were very pleasant too. I was very impressed, not just with their abilities, but their compassion. Thank you!
I requested replacement of my degree and they have been ignoring my email for more than a year. Completely unacceptable.
Nice campus and lost space to go

4 1/2 hours waiting to be seen by a doctor. Wow!!
Life & food ! My review is only limited to food as I am a foodie. Food & cuisine falls in my priority list as I consider Good food nourishes your brain & body. Students come …
As always the staff at University Hospital are great!!
It’s the best school to be honest. Western has 5 schools in total (Huron, King’s, Brescia, Western and Ivey). A lot of fun event and the campus is sooo bigg. Choose your school wisely. I recommend Huron if ur going for business, otherwise choose Western (I did not research for other schools)
Great campus! Always good to drive
The campus is beautiful. Such an amazing place to be at.
May God bless all new students!
Staff are awesome
There a lot of axles
Very helpful. Thx to the Maritime Dr that seen me. Was nice to have someone from back home :)
Veery beautiful
Western truly has the best sense of community. London is the biggest small town! The lecturers really do care about your education and the school itself is rapidly diversifying when it comes to culture, LGBT and indigenous education. I am so thankful to have gotten my education here, it truly is the best student experience!
(Translated) Going to the glitz, more quiet (Original) 去了浮华,多了些宁静
They saved my life.. thank you much..
They have a beautiful campus.
Caring, and knowle gable staff.
One of the most marquee higher education schools in Canada, Western University is home to some of the best Media, Sciences, and Arts programs.
Lost a $5,000 scholarship because my department counsellor forgot to submit my application in time (despite frequent emails from my part). After countless hours trying to figure something out with the administration (who of course refused to help me), I realized the $5,000 was lost forever. Western may have saved a bit of money denying me my scholarship however, I won't donate a cent after I graduate.
Just my Son into 1st year residence
This is a tough review because I did feel they were doing a very good job of control and safety but the parking charge is about the highest I have paid anywhere considering I think they have owned the land over 100 years. Expect to pay at …
Have spent the last 10 years of my life here getting an undergraduate and graduate degree, felt like home the whole time.
Simply the best experience I could ever have imagined. From academics, to lifestyle, to professional opportunities.
Amazing campus and community!
Best University in the world ...
awesome university
Western has an incredibly beautiful campus teeming with life. It has a good blend of natural and man made element, cementing the fact that you’re in forest city. Like any university the staff varies in quality but overall the student experience is enjoyable and welcoming!
No respect for private medical choices.
One of the beast university in Canada
The University of Western Ontario (UWO), branded as Western University as of 2012 and commonly shortened to Western, is a public research university in London, Ontario, Canada. The main campus is located on 455 hectares (1,120 acres) of land, surrounded by residential neighbourhoods and the Thames River bisecting the campus's eastern portion. The university operates twelve academic faculties and schools. It is a member of the U15, a group of research-intensive universities in Canada. The university was founded on 7 March 1878 by Bishop Isaac Hellmuth of the Anglican Diocese of Huron as the Western University of London, Ontario. It incorporated Huron College, which had been founded in 1863. The first four faculties were Arts, Divinity, Law and Medicine. The university became non-denominational in 1908. Beginning in 1919, the university had affiliated with several denominational colleges. The university grew substantially in the post-World War II era, and a number of faculties and schools were added. Western is a co-educational university, with more than 24,000 students, and over 306,000 living alumni worldwide. Notable alumni include government officials, academics, business leaders, Nobel Laureates, Rhodes Scholars, and distinguished fellows. Western's varsity teams, known as the Western Mustangs, compete in the Ontario University Athletics conference of U Sports. The University of Western Ontario is in the city of London, Ontario, in the southwestern end of the Quebec City–Windsor Corridor. Most of the campus is surrounded by residential neighbourhoods, with the Thames River bisecting the campus' eastern portion. Western Road is the university's major transportation artery, travelling north to south. The central campus, which includes most of the University's student residences and teaching facilities is approximately 170.8 hectares (422 acres). Student residences make up the largest part of Western's building area, with approximately 31 percent of all building space allocated for residential use. Teaching and research facilities take up the second largest portion of building space, with approximately 28 percent of all building space allocated for that use. Most of these facilities are used for research, with 48 percent of all teaching and research facilities allocated for that purpose. Approximately 27 percent of all teaching and research facilities is made up of classrooms, with the remaining 24 percent made up of instructional laboratories. The development of Western's present campus began in the 1920s. Many of the University's earliest buildings used Collegiate Gothic designs, a characteristic confirmed in Western's master building plan in 1934.[26] As the campus expanded in the late 1960s, the university abandoned earlier commitments to Collegiate Gothic designs in favour of brutalist and modernist architectural designs. In 2000, planning for Western's central campus was re-conceptualized, with the core devoted for only academic buildings. The plan saw University College Hill as the focal point, linking the lower portion of the campus with the South Valley The 2006 campus master plan called for the protection and renewed emphasis on Western's Collegiate Gothic buildings. The University's boiler room/power plant is the oldest building on the University's central campus, opening in 1922. The oldest academic buildings within the central campus is University College and the Physics and Astronomy Building. Groundbreaking for both buildings began in 1922, and were both completed in 1924. The Amit Chakma Engineering Building is the newest academic building on campus, opening in September 2018. The Western Interdisciplinary Research Building, or WIRB, is the newest building on campus and houses state-of-the art research facilities for the study of cognitive neuroscience as well as the Brain and Mind Institute, BrainsCAN, and the Rotman Institute for Philosophy.
I love Western!
Cool name bruh
Beautiful campus! Everything in walking distance.
It’s the best university in Canada.
Great place for education
Great science, business, and engineering programs. Good mix of things for students to do and resources. Lots of residences.
Beauty ????????
I really enjoyed Western University and the campus is amazing. Unfortunately, the Parking Management has awful customer service and are very rude and inconsiderate.
Beautiful campus with a variety of great programs.
Honestly Western is not the same anymore, they do not care about students or what students go through. the school is not what it seems like they are full of it and think they are the best. they should be investigated and magazines like Macleans should investigate the school and rank them truthfully. Also clean the washrooms in Weldon you're due for a renovation its worse than a gas station washroom.
(Translated) Very beautiful school (Original) 非常漂亮的学校
Waste of money, idk why this school is so overrated,it's a tier 3 university at best. This school's academic sucks, and not managed well, and scams my money by being forced to buy lab manuel, mastering physics and mastering engineering. Exams are also very unprofessional.
Awesome campus
Huge place but runs very efficiently with helpful staff ????
Terrible place, they care only aboutthe tuitions and you have better chance to study else where. profs are not profs with a knowledge on how to talk to students or even care about them. There are so many better institutions around. but not …
Beautiful campus to stroll around.

The professors and staff at the Faculty of Ed. are unprofessional. The professors and staff will single students out and essentially harass them. I myself have had very negative experiences in this faculty with staff and students. I have also encountered other teachers who have mentioned to me that they to have had a very negative and unenjoyable experiences at this faculty. I am a professional educator of 20 plus years experience. I would strongly urge anyone considering this faculty to avoid it. There are many other Faculties of Education in Ontario which can provide a student with positive experiences and a quality education.
Fantastic!~☆
Staff are pushy, apathetic and not willing to help. Spending 1.5 month applying for a special permission, end up poorly. As a fourth year, definitely wouldn't recommend to students who want to pursue a comfortable university life.
Seems like a nice looking campus. We came here for a conference and enjoyed walking around the property, there were not many students around in the early summer.
I lived there in western ontario some day
Very nice doctor was very good, explained everything very nicely. I had done my angiography done there.
My first university, residence was OK, professors were all helpful so far
I was attending orthopedic clinic at University Hospital. Good experience.
Great hospital
I am ashamed of what was my own university forcing an ethics professor from her position at Huron College for teaching and loving the exact thing she was teaching her students to do faithfully for two decades. Where has an institution gone …
Your mental health policies suck! The systematic discrimination and abuse against disabled students is disgusting.
6 years ago,I had Cervical fusion and healed amazingly ,today ,I just had a torn ACL and MCL repaired ,everyone was amazing THANK YOU to all the staff
At hospital university at 4:00pm wait until 10:00pm six hours then get told we don't allow guests. Well I am not a guest I am his wife, he wouldn't even be here if it wasn't because of me and …
A few friends now have told me that they can't get jobs there; they're not students/alumni of Western. They say the University of Western only considers its own students and staff for employment. I say: that's what a university does when its students and staff can't get jobs anywhere else ;)
Not a great university for international students.I did not recieve much support or guidance. Also, some of my classes were very crowded. The views are beautiful though. And the gym was great
Great School. Good Professors.
Loved my time Western. Great balance of school/work/and play. Lots of events for students to do, great opportunities to learn and good programs. It was difficult getting accommodations for my disability initially but once I got into the system they gave me the supports I needed to be able to graduate. Miss my time at Western!
Western is a disgrace to Ontario
Great University, I loved my time here!
Good places
I love this school. I spent two years at Brock University before transferring here. You honestly can't even compare the two. This has been the most incredible experience of my life so far and I don't regret my decision at all. This really is a top notch school, great academics and great professors. You get as much as you put in with the student life. There's always something happening on campus and there's so many resources to help you in all areas of your life, from mental well-being to preparing for your future career. You will find so many opportunities here. If you are trying to decide what university to go to, don't listen to the stereotypes. Go visit, see what each school has to offer, and make a decision based on what you think is best for you. Western is wonderful and I know many other schools are too. It's important to find the right fit. But coming from a current student, I really believe this school is a great choice.
No covid19 there is safe to use the hospital
I decided to do an MSc in Chemistry at Western. I guess I learned a lot and discovered I don't enjoy academic research. On the other hand I felt like I had little support and was pushed past my limits. The professors there are all about status and grad students are part of that. The mandatory seminars are popularity contests where students are rated not on their work but on the merits of their supervisors. Being an undergrad TA and seeing my now wife going through undergrad there I realized that it's not just graduate students that feel that way. At Western students are numbers and tests are king. In my own undergrad I felt like I was treated more fairly. All exams up to second year are all multiple choice and some courses only have marks from tests at least in the faculty of science. Most professors are not invested in teaching and are overworked. Overall it was a stressful experience and I never felt as bad about myself and as unhappy as when I was attending UWO.
I was working here. It is a very well run university as I see it. The place is well kept and clean. The people from Honeywell are doing a great job at keeping up the maintainace of the equipment
Love the amazing staff.
Had brain surgery, and every part of the team was so positive and helpful! I would strongly reccomend this hospital.
Pleasant place utterly crowded but country like in big city
Great hospital.. friendly staff.. nurses are wonderful and the doctor who I seen was/is very friendly and walked through my procedure thoroughly.
(Translated) This is a beautiful university. (Original) 这是一所美丽的大学。
I didn't go to Western, and I did admire the school, so I applied for several jobs at Western but never got an interview. I understood I might not be the best candidate, so I called the Human Resources a couple of times, asking for feedback to help with the after application but no one return my call, that's so rude, I also called to ask how can I reupload my cover letter coz I uploaded the wrong one, no body called me back either, if you can't teach your employees to be polite to others how could you teach your students???
Great treatment at University Hospital. Every staff member was warm and friendly and so caring. Thanks to Dr Teefy and all his colleagues in Cardiac Catheterization
Sucks out your soul and calls it progress.
party school! party achool! party school!
Lovely campus, well-maintained, gets crowded during the school between Sept and April. A blend of old and new architecture makes for a nice scenic walk through.
Lovely school, top notch!
Got to see the doctor On time Great staff to help With the process
The best

Best Canadian university. Good mix between strong academics and extra curriculars.

Awesome university
I turned down other PhD programs to come here and I am glad that I did ????
We all know about the beautiful campus and outstanding campus life, so I'll focus on what matters most at the end of the four years, the academic side. I did my chemistry degree at Western and because I've also worked there doing summer research, I know the internal workings. If you don't have time to read this full review my opinion is I can't recommend the chemistry department and UWO. Now if you have time to read more, I will split my comments into fact versus opinion to the best of my ability so you can come to your own conclusions. Opinion: The entire school including the chemistry department is a big money grab and is financially corrupt. Fact: The president accepted double salary of about $1 million and then Western spent another $100,000 hiring a public relations firm to rescue his and the university's reputation. Fact: In first year chem, students must buy $300 of photocopied nearly black and white lab manuals and work books, and my research boss told me the money goes to pay for parties, social events and renovations to research labs that bring no benefit to first year students. Opinion: The quality of instruction varies from poor to excellent depending on the prof but mostly poor to average. Fact: One prof vaped e-cigs during an exam. Fact: Many classes are spent listening to profs read off powerpoints. Opinion: Most profs do not care about teaching because they're too busy with research or pretend to be so. Fact: It is impossible to contact a prof outside of class if you got questions, especially in first year, so you go to the resource room where a TA gives you wrong information. Fact: It does get better in the smaller classes, but you won't see that for a few years. Fact: The department just wants more enrolment, or what they internally call bums in seats, so they can get more money, but the same can be said of every department at Western. Opinion: Some profs have high standards, a good thing, but so high that any humanity or compassion is out the window. Fact: "Too bad" or similar is a common answer you'll get from profs. Opinion: If you take chemistry at Western be ready to be a bum in a seat and get a big line of credit because OSAP won't cut it. Opinion: Go to McMaster instead if you want to do chemistry or any other science. Opinion: My sister just finished second year in chemistry at McMaster and thought the profs were genuinely interested in her success and well being, and she has not experienced anything I told her. Fact: My parents are both well-accomplished chemists and my sister and I both love chemistry to death, so it's not like we have anything against the subject. Despite my poor experience taking chemistry at Western, I am still very fond of the science and am currently doing my Master's another school where the attitude is much better.
Western Wins !!!!

I would have to agree with a fellow poster a few down from mine, this school will leave you with a bitter feeling even though it is not a difficult school to obtain whatever degree you are seeking. There are administrative rules that are antiquated and frankly, favour wealthy students far above and beyond the regular student who obtains OSAP. The problem also lies with faculty that is nurtured and coddled when they should be dumped in the desert starving and thirsty. The problems stem from the universities thirst for research over competency in teaching abilities so perhaps they need a second university where all their lackie profs go to stick there head in the sand for their next big research assignment...and leave the real teaching professors in the school with the students. They will never get another dime from me, but they sure do beg for the money once you are a grad.
10/10 would go to school here again

Parking is to expensive
Higher up administrators (vice-presidents, vice-provosts, provosts and such) actively attempt to suppress freedom of speech of students (including student's online activity). Like what someone else said, the school threatens students with code of conduct violations to try and shut them up. They've tried to say the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms do not apply in the university disciplinary system. Highly, highly disturbing.

Not a top university of Canada... not known internationally.
Great university, awesome place for learning????.
I love my University great School
I am an alumni.
great
This university stands for coercion and segregation based on medical status Absolutely shameful to force staffs to mandatory covid jab.
They are always extremely helpful !
Cute girls, lots of parties.
amazing university! Very beautiful and good place to study
Great.
I had a double bypass. Every person from the surgeon, nurses, p.s.w.'s, and room cleaners are professional and personable and treated me with kindness and respect. Thank you to all!
I loved the team members and faculty staff that I met there while working there as a student. Extremely friendly and courteous with devotion to uphold the students' best achievements.
Pretty good has that old fashion look but is a great place to study.
Excellent
If you try and advocate for a change in an unjust university policy, Western will threaten you with a Student Code of Conduct violation to shut you up.
Great university
I go for treatment, covid screening is very professional and fast.
Staff always supportive outstanding tech support
After last nights’ display of frosh week echoing across the city I would give this facility zero stars if I could. I’ve officially lost all respect for their organization. In addition, through personal experience, I fully support the “unprofessional” reviews on here. I will spare the lengthy details but have seen better run programs and more supportive professors elsewhere.
World class. Everyone went above and beyond.
Nice !!awesome
