Are you sure this is a 2-star hotel? Because it felt like a 5-star to us! Everything about the room was so fantastically well-designed. The bathroom blew us away. I want that heated anti-fog mirror for my own place! And LUTRON motion-sensored lights on the bottom of bathroom cabinets?! Absolute genius! Whoever designed this bathroom deserves a raise! (Can I get their contact so they can design my place please?) And a plug right beside the on/off button of the lamp so you don't have to crawl under the desk to look for it. Wow. Breakfast was convenient and delicious. One of the best hash browns I've ever had, highly recommended to put one in your breakfast sandwich for the best experience. Hot tub was good, and has new towels provided. Out of the five hotels the four of us had stayed at during this entire trip, including Fairmont Lake Louise, Mountaineer Lodge was unanimously our favourite. Would definitely come again.

Very dirty bathrooms, as an advice please clean it properly.. it doest take too long just to put bleach and remove all the dirt. It was pretty hard for me to take a shower ????????. Pillows were also dirty... in this times of covid cleaning should be the priority but this please doest take it serious.

Stayed here for 2 nights during our family road trip our room was beautiful and kid friendly the service was great the staff was friendly. The only issue we could think of is the lack of privacy due to no window tint we had great big windows to let in light and I wanted so bad to keep the blinds open but was put off because people would be able to see us. Otherwise I would recommend to family and friends to stay here. They also offer free hot breakfast and they have a hot tub which we couldn't use due to covid restrictions.

Perfect hotel when skiing in Lake Louise. Having the bus pick you up right from the front door is so convenient. The staff was very helpful, we particularly appreciated Margot's great customer service skills. Our room was large and modern with two queen beds(very comfortable). I read a few other reviews saying the rooms were dated; that was certainly not the case here. I believe those people chose the lower rate rooms in the main building. I recommend spending the extra $20 per night and getting a room in the new building. Breakfast was included which was very convenient. We got yoghurts, muffins, and breakfast sandwiches. My only suggestion to the hotel is to keep the English muffins frozen prior to preparation and if possible, please get a commercial hot holding unit to keep the English muffins warm and slightly moist. We also loved the hot tub for post skiing relaxation. Overall, the Mountaineer lodge is a great hotel.

The room was beautiful ! We really liked all the details such as the anti-fog mirror and the mountain-shaped decorations. It is one of the only hotel we've been to that actually offers hot breakfast so that is a big plus. It was also nice to be able to check in before 2pm. It is 4km away from lake Louise .. a walkable distance .. that I do not recommend doing.

This is our family's first time staycation at a lodge and we had a great experience with mountaineerlodge We booked king guest room with direct access to the parking lot made our stay convenient and feel safer. We had small fridge and microwave, so the kids can keep on munching anytime ????. They also offer take out for breakfast with variety menu. Overall we had a relaxing staycation and will come back again!

Really lovely room, recently modernized. Some really great touches. Our highlight was the hospitality from the whole team but Gavin in particular. Gavin took our reservation over the phone and remembered us weeks later. He gave us a lovely greeting and shared some great insight to the local area and it’s amenities. Every hotel needs a Gavin! Highly recommend.

The room was very modern and good looking, very surprised, but what completely ruins it, is the fact that it wasn’t clean. The bed sheets had hair and dust particles on them, same as the pillows. The bathroom toilet seat had pee stains on them. When looking at a hotel, number one priority is cleanliness, so considering it was disgusting, I can not rate it better than a One Star.

Stayed here a few weeks ago... really enjoyed the staff at the front desk. They knew their stuff and were SO nice and friendly. Great price and their beds were comfy as heck too. The ONLY reason for 4 stars is that the breakfast sandwiches they serve with the complimentary breakfast cannot be passable for food.

First we waited 10 mins at the desk and no one was there. Then they gave us the wrong room which smelled moldy and musty. There is no AC whatsoever. The coffee is disgusting. The breakfast was also disgusting as it was often lacking parts and they didn't have very much available of the options they provided. The beds were not comfortable. The water pipes from the rooms above was loud a s made it difficult to sleep. The wifi was extremely slow and the TV didn't work. Never book here. It was a complete rip off and waste of time ans money!

I stayed here for 2 nights in August, and it was perfect. The room was spacious and clean. Their breakfast was good enough despite Covid19. There are restaurants and stores just in 2-3 minutes walking distance. Especially a woman staff was so kind that she gave us all information that I need to travel Banff and Yoho. Me and my friends were able to enjoy the Rocky Mountains thanks to her.

If you are traveling in hot summer day, please make sure if room has AC. I spent a horrific night without AC on a day when temperature touched 40. After some efforts I got updated luxary room without any charges. All the front desk staff was great.

When I walked into the room, It looked pretty good. I turned on the TV to sign in to my Netflix account , but there was nothing. The TV was so old that it just channels on it. After that, we got out of the hotel for a couple hours. We came from dinner and I was about to shower when I noticed an underwair under the sink! When I went to bed, I noticed that there were like a thousand layers on the bed! It was so annoying getting the beds set up but then I saw yellowish green stains on the bed. The only ok part about our experience at mountaineer lodge was the breakfast. Other than that I don't recommend staying here.

Only few Restaurants near by, after 9PM you won't have any food ordering. Lodge needs LOTS of Renovations.

I booked two rooms for my family months in advance and requested that our rooms are next to each other. However, the rooms were on different side of the building. When we asked for different rooms we were dismissedPlease do not stay here until they fixthe pipe or whatever it is thats knocking all night causing me to not sleep. Its HORRIBLE. I'm here right now and its the worstnight I've had in a while.
