This College is included in the category of Educational institution.
I just completed the Addictions and Community Service program with Kelly as my instructor, she was amazing, and always made things easy to understand. The course was so interesting, I'm looking forward to starting a career in this field.
I am currently a grateful student at CDI College taking their Addiction/Community Support Worker program. I am privileged to have an instructor that is not only knowledgeable about the material she is teaching but shes fair and encourages us to be the best we can be as students. Each morning when I walk through the doors I'm greated with a smile from reception I couldnt ask for a better way to start my morning. I have learned so much being a student there and I feel priveledged to say I am a student at CDI College.
Fantastic establishment, Friendly staff, supportive professors. The graphic design course was exceptional; freedom to create on your own terms with the expertise and guidance from an industry professional.
Though it's only been a month since I started, I've had a solid experience so far. Would recommend.
It's the bomb . com
The instructor is well informed and quite helpful. Small class sizes assure he has enough one-on-one time for each of us. I only wish the fundamentals of art (in my opinion) were covered closer to the beginning of the course. Figure drawing, for example: it's covered in the second term, rather than the first. I believe it would be behooving to the students to be taught it sooner instead of later.
I love the staff members here, they're all friendly and helpful. They always greet you whenever they see you and try to put the students first.
Most AMAZING people. I would recommend them over any other school. Seriously always willing to help you!
Great private college, a bit expensive but very supportive.
Smells Bad in the Classroom n Washroom They will can help you to find a Job.
Good instructors
The staff and teachers are all very helpful and welcoming.
The facility has friendly & professional staff and instructors that helps you out the best they can. I'm currently in the Social Media Marketing morning class and the instructor is very active and considerate of the class! Funnest class if I may say ????????
Very welcoming staff. Great instructors and willing to help you when preparing for future employment. Great experience opportunities. ???? A lot of homework but great learning experience.
So far so great! The application process was easy and straightforward and al the staff here are super friendly! I would highly recommend going here if you’ve been considering it!
As a Graphic Design alumna, I can personally say that CDI College - Winnipeg is a great Canadian educational institution wherein students are taught and trained with the right tools on how to become successful members and leaders of their chosen industry. The teachers and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, the courses are attuned to the needs of the times, and the facility which is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Winnipeg is exceptionally conducive to higher learning.
The staff are super friendly and understanding. Four weeks in and it's so far a good experience. The community here is wonderful. I would definitely recommend you to check it out. You don't have to commit, but check it out.
Con artists at their best, they let you sign up for school. Attend a few months while you wait for your loan to be approved. Then if the loan doesn’t go threw, you’re left with a $7,000 bill for school attended. Would not recommend anyone trust their career with this hole in the ground.
Most engaging college experience ever, Everyone has such a positive attitude ( Highly Recommended)
I have been here for a couple weeks and I really like it there. The teacher knows what he's doing and gives easy steps for assignments, the classmates are passionate about their goals and is so far worth the money and patience
Attending the 2015/16 CDI Accounting & Payroll course, this one year course although not an easy program, focuses on one program at a time, giving one the time to do the required work that goes along with the course, for myself this was paramount in my learning curve and time placement. One's own committiment to their education will help meet personal goals, CDI is my stepping stone and the support of staff and the friendships I've created here will last longer than just this course. Recommending CDI College, absolutely if you are serious about yourself and your education CDI College will help you achieve it.
More focus on every student's progress ,super friendly classmates and experienced positive instructors : ) happiè to be here
Good learning environment and supportive instructors. Good balance of theoretical and hands on learning. Well equipped facility and lots resources. Would recommend to others.
Quite and a Good place to study, friendly staff.
I came to CDI for the Medical Office Assistant course, Nadine is one of the instructors at CDI and she is extremely insightful, perceptive people I have met and she is supportive and available for each and everyone of her students. If you are considering secondary learning I would highly recommend CDI.
There was no graduation ceremony when I graduated 9 years ago. I had to pick up my diploma. And they didn't even help me a practicum position at any law firm.
Very encouraging instructor. Always helpful and really cares about students development as well as their personal well being!
If you work or have a life at all, do not request information from them. How ever many times you talk to them they call 10 times a day and leave empty voicemails. They will call at 10 pm. Very unprofessional to harass people that much. Had to block the number but I’m still getting the voicemails.
Great school. Great people. I love how to community is very close to each other and help each other like family.
Instructors were great. Took supply chain for the practicum and wasn't provided with one. Waste of time and money for me as I'm back in the same field I was in prior to attending college making the same amount of money, 60 k. And now owe debt. We were told we were getting laptops, they then said they stopped that the previous year but was given to us in our correspondence when we registered. February 2020 student. Since there was no practicum provided, the college at least could have refunded some of our money. Yea right. A 100% for profit school only. Edit. I have responded to the email that the college gave me with my Student name. I'm not sure how they can resolve any of my issues, and all of the students who were in my supply chain course with me. 08/24/21 I have contacted the college with my name and contact info and they still have not contacted me. I did graduate with honors but if could turn back the clock I would never have attended this all for profit college. Go to Red River instead. Just under $15,000 in tuition for a 12 month course to get an entry level job is ridiculous. September.1/21
I am in the Graphic Design program here in Winnipeg and I will say that it has been great. Mr. Banares is a great teacher he not only knows how to teach but also knows the curriculum through and through. The rest of the staff where helpful and friendly getting me set up in the program!
My wife got her payroll diploma in 2019 and still looking for job. CDI promises people the world and can't even help you get a job. My wife emailed them at the given email and they never responded back, its been a month.
Graphic Design helped me gain more understanding of the basic concepts and principles of colours which also apply to Film Production which I didn't understand as much as it is taught here. Being a good graphic designer will help me in photography, filming, and photoshop which will help me resolve my branding issues and weaknesses in the media industry. It's all transferable skills and leads to great careers!
Helpful Staff, friendly and welcoming environment!
Extremely pushy and rude on getting you to sign up.
I haven't taken any classes here, but our company brdagncy.ca has been looking into sponsoring student for the digital marketing course. I have called, spoken with and emailed with the coordinator and still have none of the information we requested. It would be great if your coordinator got back to people with course outlines, instructor experience and cost. Seems like a pretty basic request to help determine if we should meet with you and before deciding if the course is right for us.
When I was looking to jumpstart my career, the first step was to check out schooling options. CDI was the first to get back to me and right away we set up an appointment to check out the school to make sure this was the place for me. I GOT ACCEPTED, and started attending in Spring 2016. I am continuously thankful for having the opportunity to attend such a great school, we have wonderful administration and staff & an awesome GD group to share my year with! Thumbs up!
Awesome facility, great staff!!!
Instructors are fantastic, the staff truly care about the students, Nadine goes above and beyond to ask how you are doing and is truly invested in the answer. Julius is a fantastic instructor, I learned more in a week in his class than I did in a year in other programs, I truly cannot recommend CDI enough.
CDI College consists of resourceful and dynamic management team. Especially, my analytical and thorough lecturer in Supply Chain Management, Professor J. Morris. He is always ready and available to impact and share from his vast knowledge and experience.
The atmosphere is great here. Everybody here is very nice and friendly. The program instructors have a lot of knowledgeable in their field and are very helpful. I'm taking Graphic Design and enjoying every moment so far.
I am currently taking an IT course at CDI college (Network and Internet Security Specialist) and it has been great! The staff is very friendly! My instructor, Milo, wants to see his students succeed and is there to help as are all the other instructors. The material for the course is very good quality and i'm learning so much. I would recommend CDI to anyone wanting to get a good education while at the same time have a great college experience!!
It's a great learning facility, great support system, fun loving teachers and staff. The teachers and staff encourage you to follow your passion, become confident in your study, and just enjoy college life.
CDI college has been a valued partner of The Elizabeth Fry Society of Manitoba in providing student practicums. We have had 2 students from their Addictions Worker program and have been pleased with the partnership to date. We have found their students to be knowledgeable and eager to learn. We look forward to continuing our relationship with CDI well into the future.
The instructors are trained professionals in their field and know their stuff! Perfect school for someone who is looking for a specific skill set without wasting time with unnecessary university courses. Been a student for a few months and it's great!
Instructors were great. One greatest part was dealing with my instructors who really pushed and strived for me to reach my full potential and greatly influenced me to be my greatest. I am overall happy with my decision to attend at CDI College
Hi, I'm Ally, I have been attending CDI College for 4 months now and I can definatly say it's been a good experience. I Love coming to school and seeing all the smiley faces and the good mornings I get from all the staff. I also really think my teacher is the best, he knows so much and I have lear'nt a lot from him. I am learning so much everyday and I am so happy I made this desion to attend here at CDI College and it was most defiantly a good investment in my future. Everyone is very supportive here and there is always help. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in CDI College.
Poor education the hospitals in Winnipeg hate to hire HCA from this college.
I was at CDI in the mid-2000s. It was a good experience for me and all the instructors were very helpful and very kind. I hope all the newbies have a great experience too.
Good for diploma and short courses for Canadian and International students!!! Well reception responses!
As a graphic design student, it is nice to hear that a portfolio is not needed as an admission requirement. It is emphasized that this course helps build a portfolio from scratch (or a possibly better one) which is a great thing for those with minimal experience level, allowing everyone taking the course to have the same opportunities. All in all, great staff and great instructors! All very welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. Would highly recommend to those thinking about attending!
Best school ever! Great teachers, friendly staff, convenient class hours. It all works together and they do their best to push their students to the best of their abilities. Loving the dental assistant class which I never though I would. I highly recommend this school if your looking from a college course. Tuition is high but it's worth all the amount of work and effort you put into school and the outcome of getting a job. They really shape you into a good potential employee. (: Proud to be one of the students here at CDI! :D
I have loved being a student here. Teachers are dedicated and helpful and have a amazing way of showing how to learn and grow.
I've been a student in the Graphic Design course for a few months now, and it's the best experience I've had. Right from the start during admissions, the staff worked with me constantly to make sure everything was going in the right direction. Through the time I've been here, they've kept assisting me to achieve my goals and help me understand the process. The small classes make it easier to bond friendships and learn. My teacher has gone above and beyond his duties to help us succeed, learn and grow our skills. We will have access to resources and connections when we leave this establishment. Unlike Red River, there is no portfolio requirements to get into the Graphic Design course. They build your portfolio as you go. Towards the end of the course, we will be developing our interview and resume skills. It's a great school!
Welcoming environment, very friendly staff, small class sizes makes for very personal learning experience.
I enrolled here because I wanted to enhance my social media skills which is very in-demand right now. So far I’ve learned a lot but my favourite would be how to do a presentation for potential clients and Adobe. Staff and teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable!
Great and friendly school with fantastic teachers. The Business Digital and Marketing program is awesome because we work with real programs.
I had a wonderful experience with CDI!! Very helpful, professional, and knowledgable instructors that helped me greatly. Practicum Coordinator very helpful. Would recommend this school to others!
CDI is a great college, I have learned quite a bit from it so far for the time I have been here and the Instructor is a very nice guy
Great College. The Instructor was absolutely incredible, very interactive and positive class. 5/5
enjoying meeting people from many cultures, enjoying most of the courses, study groups for those in need. friendly helpful staff and teachers. good location, times.
CDI has helped me in so many ways. Not only did I learn about Addictions & Community Support, I learned a lot about myself. My instructor was amazing & patent with me. There was always someone who was willing to help me out. They truly made me feel like I was apart of the family. They always gave me respect along with how are you & a smile. They have always been there for me & continue to be there for me wether I just need to talk or looking for a job. I graduated in 2014 & was valedictorian. I give CDI 5* even though they deserve more. They helped me get to were I am today. Working in a boys youth group home. Much love to all at CDI. Cheryl King
All about the money, they kicked me to the curb after graduating. Not a helpful facility and extremely over priced. The employee turn over rate is very high I observed at least four employees getting let go in a five month period. The teacher spent more time outside smoking cigarettes, playing on her cell phone and talking about her family problems than she did teaching. The intake people all make commission off of you, then you've got to do all this extra running around if you want loans or a specific course such as a medical course. It's all a big scam just for cdi to make money off of you. DO NOT GO HERE unless you like getting ripped off. A one star rating is way too generous for this facility. Don't feed into these good reviews, WASTE OF MONEY!
something positive about cdi college for me would be, the instructers are really really nice and supportive. I feel I have lots of help here and have answers to my questions whenever I need. I love my class and my classmates , we all get along quit well. I am very proud of myself for passing , but I know I have to study harder since I failed my last exams and had to rewrite them. I cant wait to finish and see where my career goes
I LOVE my teachgers but the older receptionist pretty uneducated I HATE whenever I have to deal with her. She really needs to NOT be working with people.
As a current student at CDI college, expecting to graduate shortly, I would recommend CDI college to any individual looking to get into their career field. The entire atmosphere is very supportive, with great instructors, counselors, advisor, etc. guiding and supporting you every step of the way.
Instructors and staff alike are helpful, and their focus is to get you into the work force with as much of an advantage as possible. Always willing to help you out and give you what you need. 12/10 would recommend.
My experience with CDI College during admission was awesome the advisor I met with are helpful and very good people and I recommend them for anyone going into college with very good guidance
It's only been 4 weeks in, but it's awesome so far. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. They help out a lot with the application and tuition process instead of leaving you to run all over the city to figure it out for yourself. Any questions I had when applying were actually answered in a timely fashion. Definitely worth checking out.
I am currently in the graphic design program here, and I absolutely love it. I gave Cdi a 5/5 because every single staff member that I've had the chance to speak with has been so helpful and understanding how to get me to my goals. Michelle especially, she's been amazing! Every little question or concern that I had, she always listened and help me in any way that she could. As for getting up and coming to school each morning, I actually look forward to it. The receptionists at the front always welcome me with a smile and a "Goodmorning" and nothing starts a successful day off like them! Also, Gail is fricken awesome. I can always count on her to give me that extra push to get through my day. If you're scared to take the next step in your life and are worried about going back to school, I recommend you come down to cdi and the amazing people here will change your mind about that!
I personally had a wonderful experience. The instructors do their best to personalise the classroom as much as possible. I have never been one to enjoy academia, however CDI changed my perspective on what school can be. If you are interested in any of the fields they train for I highly recommend looking into their programs!
I'm a single mother, worked as a cleaner/janitor for three and a half years before I took Office Assistant at CDI College. After I finished my program, CDI College hired me right away as a Receptionist, then as a Computer Applications Instructor, then as a Financial Administrator of the college. My journey with CDI College continued when I let my son take Health Care Aide and was absorbed by Victoria Hospital after his practicum and is now working full time at WRHA. When he finished his program, it was now high time for my daughter to fulfill her dreams too. She took Accounting & Payroll and when she did her practicum in Ash Management, again they hired her and gave her a permanent full time Accounts Payable position. This is my family's journey with CDI College. They molded us to be who we are today, a dream come true, brought our confidence back and I'm so proud to say that we all went to CDI College who made our lives changed from "MISSION IMPOSSIBLE to MISSION ACCOMPLISHED". thank you CDI COLLEGE. :)
my journey started years ago with my addiction and lifestyle that brought out a lot of soft skills. with the education that cdi provided and my soft skills I had acquired during my life. I was able to become a very effective helper I now am a addiction councillor and a primary councillor with a very well known addiction and mental health recovery centre (Kelburn recovery centre) the staff and instructors at cdi made it possible for me to carry out my life's purpose I will be forever grateful and blessed because of CDI oh yeah I'm Tony R.
Enjoyed my time and experience at this college. Instructors gave beneficial and informative notes and I had plenty of hands on training. My instructors treated me with respect and they were great support!
When I went in person to talk to one of the hiring staff, we discussed everything about the Legal Administrated Assistant course, and I was told starting wage was $16-$18 an hour. When I graduate, I couldn't find a single place that paid more then a dollar more then minimum wage. Finding a job was easy but the pay TERRIBLE. Teachers were very nice, but the front staff was THE WORST. I was told to NOT ATTEND THIS COLLEGE, but I wanted to give them a chance, but I messed up not following what others said. PEOPLE WHO WORK IN THIS FIELD FOR 10 YEARS DON'T GET $18 AN HOUR NEVERMIND SOMEONE WHO JUST GRADUATED. I graduate and paid around $15000 in fees, got depression and lost a lot of trust in this school. I DIDN'T LISTEN SO THIS IS A MESSAGE FOR ANYONE READING THIS, DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL. YOU'LL GET RIPPED OFF. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. THEY ARE ALL ABOUT PROFIT AND NOTHING ELSE.
Instructor and staff are fantastic. Great experience so far. Feels like a family atmosphere in class. Easy transition for someone rebranding themselves. Social Media is the way of the future. Mr B was not only a great instructor but genuinely cared for his students. I have Graduated and looking forward to my next chapter. Thanks CDI.
Loving the instructors, and my classmates. We work together. Can wait till we all graduate together.
I enjoyed my time in CDI. Kelly my instructor was amazing, she delivered the material it in a good way. She was very fair and understanding when I was in a hard position. She always made the classroom a good environment and addressed it right way if there was problems. I learned a lot from Kelly. I am sad to see Nadine go, she was very real and extremely helpful. Every morning I walked in the front desk reception was always smiling and welcoming. Anytime I needed anything all the staff was there to help. I had a good experience.
Super friendly, and genuine people who really care about you and your success at the school.
The Dental Assisting course here is very good. Highly experienced and great staff. Clinic is great. I would recommend this college to any one who would like to go for dental assisting.
5/5. Everyone, from the welcoming reception staff to the friendly financial staff to the incredibly helpful teachers, want to see you succeed.
5/5 too much homework send help
What an experience! From the first outreach phone call I got from Natasha Evans asking me in to discuss this opportunity, to sitting down with the wonderful Mary-ann in finance ALL THE way to today's orientation. I am a 39 yr old and felt weird about going to school again, they made that disappear! Every staff member is knowledgeable, helpful and extremely pleasant to be around. Great atmosphere! Can't wait to start! Give them a call, ask some questions. They're awesone
I read lots of reviews about this college and still decided to give them a shot... its been 3 weeks in to school and im starting to understand that I should of payed more attention to the bad reviews for this college. Not only are they never answering my calls they didn't provide me with any info of my professors for even basic questions. All they do is throw a program at your face with couple videos and its on you to figure out how and what your going to do. It's a complete waste of time, mental stress and money. I don't recommend this to anyone and recommend everyone to share this to more people so that everyone knows. I'm not getting the full education that I was told I would get. All they care about is the money and nothing else
Probably one of the worst schools in Winnipeg. Not only did they kick me out after 2 months of school due to a violent pregnancy, and when I asked if I could return after my pregnancy they did not allow and I ended up paying 18,000 over the last 4 years. Whatever you do, do not apply for this school. They do not care about you as a person and just want your money. If I could have given a negative rate I would have.
Thoroughly enjoyed my studies at CDI! I was looking for a small college atmosphere and chose CDI because they were welcoming from the onset when i dropped in unexpectedly for information. The instructors and staff were supportive and were there when i needed a little extra help with my studies. They gave me all the tools i needed to successfully complete my MOA course. I have recommended CDI to my friends and family and will continue to do so. Amazing all around experience. Thank You!
I took a graphic design course at this school and has been offered help afterwards by my instructor and staff members which is great.
Completely unproffesional
This course helped me understanding a lot about the social media world and how to apply it for my traditional business which is declining after the pandemic. Furthermore, the assignments and the projects for real customers helped me to put the theory into practice which is very helpful. Mr. B is a superb instructor who believes in clearing the concepts through real-life examples, making learning easy and effective. Thank you so much.
I have been taking Graphic Design class for several months now and I have felt like I have learned a lot, my instructor has been very helpful and always answers my questions either in class or after and has been helpful with opinions, helpful tips on how to get the end results I want, I would defiantly recommend this class to people who want to learn how to become a Graphic Designer.
I have been a student at CDI College Winnipeg Campus since October 2015. I am an older student in my mid 40's. I have never felt so relaxed and welcome as I have here at CDI. I have been fortunate enough to interact with about 95% of the staff and have yet to find anyone who hasn't been welcoming, friendly and most importantly, encouraging. I have enjoyed success at CDI. I have not only been getting an incredibly fulfilling education, but I have also found many, many friends here. I would recommend anyone looking for a career college to apply at CDI. It's like going home everyday as when you get here, you don't feel like a student but rather a member of a large family. The instructors, whether they are yours or not are exceptional in all that they do. The support is never ending. The knowledge of the teachers in their field of study is unprecedented. I have been having an amazing experience and will be sad to see it come to an end at the end of my course. Thank you to CDI College for helping me succeed!!!
well i haven't been here long enough to give a full 100% opinion on this school, and i really don't understand why we have to do this now so early in the year, i can't help but wonder if this is all some plan to make them look good, get us to write a review after getting are hopes up and making us believe that we chose the right place even thoght we haven't even got a full taste of cdi yet, but all jokes aside i think it is a pretty chill place, the class room gives off a very welcoming vibe, everyone gets along just fine, and the teachers are very informative and knowledgeable in the filed there in, and on a side note it is a lot easier to get in to then other colloges i would definitely recomend to look in to this place to anyone who is stuck and doesn't know what they want to do with their life
International Students at this college can NOT get a Post Graduate Work Permit. If you came to Winnipeg to study Intra-Oral Dental Assistant you will not be able to get a work permit after. Every year our law firm talks to students from this school who came from the other side of the world to study and immigrate to Canada. The school KNOWS you will not get a Post Graduate Work Permit but they do not tell you until its too late.
I've been at the college since mid September, I love the environment and we have gotten a lot of opportunities for jobs/practicum. I got a part time job in my field within 2 months of being in school.
Great facility and staff members.
I came to CDI College as a student who was interested in the medical field. My class was smaller and it was less intimidating to start college. It was nice that the receptionist's knew you by name and you weren't just a face. My classmates became my friends very quickly. Shortly after my practicum I was contacted by CDI to see if I was interested in a position. I was curious to see what it was about. A few weeks later, I got hired as one of the receptionist at the front desk, which I absolutely love! To be once a student at CDI and now supporting the students that walk through the doors everyday is remarkable! P.S. The receptionists now are the best! :)
