A compact program that equips you with the technical skills you need in the field. Brandon and Antonio are excellent instructors who are willing to go the extra mile to help when needed. Easy commute to the school from Spruce Grove with a bus stop across the street.

After more than two decades of working in the Middle East in the Design and Supervision of Roads,Bridges and Railroads I decided to head back to school. By analyzing the courses offered and comparing them to other school,I decided to enroll at DIGITAL SCHOOL because they have a one year program for Engineering CAD Technician. Now I am in my Term 4/3 and about to reach Term 4/4 to be called "THE GRADUATES". I recommend DIGITAL SCHOOL to others because the program is really comprehensive and you will learn a lot,not only from the seasoned and well qualified Instructors but also from the online materials they provide.

I am a former student of Digital School. I want to make people aware of this school so more people aren't led into wasting time and money with it. The tuition is extremely high and not worth it. First off, for a supposed technical college they have the worst computers I've seen at a college. They are old and haven't been updated in God knows how long. I often had programs shut down in the middle of me doing work. I asked repeatedly to have the IT guy to help only to have nothing done. The school charges $17000 a student for tuition and does not to have decent computers for students. Second, the instructors aren't competent enough to be teaching, nor do they care about their students enough to provide extra help. There are two in particular who are really bad. One of the first term teachers who teaches math just gives students online resources instead of teaching. When students asked for help we were told to "Google it". His teaching was so bad that over half of my class had to take the math final over because we did so poorly due to lack of knowledge that should have been taught to us but wasn't. Another instructor has no prior experience as a teacher. He's not very good with speaking English and next to nobody understands his lectures. He once did a whole lecture on surveying only to have to do it over again next class because the information he gave us was wrong. Next, the material that is taught is outdated. The text books being used aren't the newest editions. The students aren't allowed to keep The text book, yes that's right one book. I paid $600 for text books only to be loaned a book that's almost 10 years old. My brother who is a framer told me that the information in the construction text book isn't correct because the standards and practices have changed since that book was published. All other so called text books are sent to you via email and downloaded. Finally, there is a huge lack of professionalism and privacy from staff. There is one teacher in particular who discloses students private matters to other students. He stated in class that other students dropped out and why. He released everyone's progress reports to the whole class. I asked to have mine kept private only to be ignored. Myself and another student were bullied by other students and had nothing done to help. The staff and policies aren't there to help or provide a safe learning environment. Don't waste your time at this school. If you're interested in drafting and design go to a reputable school like NAIT. I regret going to Digital School. I'm thousands of dollars in debt with nothing to show for it.

Absolutely a waste of money, I work in the field and have been for years. The program is completely out of date test questions are incorrect, the program is full of factual errors. absolute waste of $10000 absolutely p***** *** DO NOT TAKE

Digital School is a difference maker. The instructors are very knowledgeable and the content is easy to learn while progressing at a manageable rate. Being a six month to a year program it gets you the hands on training for your new career fast. Being here has accelerated my career path. Highly recommend.

As a former graduate of Digital School, I can and will recommend this program. I attended the 6 month program, earning a "Computer Aided Drafter" certificate. During my time there, I watched some of my classmates really struggle, and some really shine. It all came down to attitude. The ones that came in late, or not at all, struggled the most. One would think that paying for a secondary education would be incentive enough to actually put in some effort. Those that came there with the right attitude, flourished. Most of my instructors were knowledgeable, helpful and caring. There are, of course, those teachers who did not seem to care or could not communicate properly, but they are no longer employed there. Teachers have a huge impact on the success of their students, so I'm glad to see that changes were made. Upon graduating, I was assisted in my search for employment, and landed a terrific career as a drafter and record drawings keeper in the railroad industry. I've been here for 7 months and love my job. Thanks for everything, Digital School!

Currently enrolled in the BIM technician course, has been a great experience, courses are well laid out and easy to follow and understand, while learning valuable information! I recommend Digital School Technical Design College, plan to take more classes in the future...

Coming from the Philippines and newly settled in Edmonton, Digital School became one of the institutions that I have become to be fond of. All of the instructors and staff and even the students are very accommodating, friendly and approachable, studying at this school definitely gave me a lot of knowledge in terms of the drafting design software courses that they offer, well I do have some background on Architecture but I never had an idea how to use AutoCAD or Revit. This school helped me on learning and be familiar with these design softwares. It definitely improved and expanded my skills! So big thumbs up to the Digital School Team! :) Cheers!

I like the campus and teachers are very nice.

Make a smart decision and take your time elsewhere. Lousy instructors who barely have time to help students, terrible lectures, and one of the lowest graduation rates ever. Don't bother.

I am also a former graduate of the Engineering CAD Technician program of Digital School and concur with what has been written in the previous reviews. I've been out of school for two years now and have dropped off numerous cover letters and resumes. To this day I still haven't been able to get one single job interview. The Digital School is producing graduates every three months into a workforce where there a few jobs currently for inexperienced drafters. For anyone going into this field I advise you to do your homework and research other options. Since graduating I have found out that NAIT offers an identical program at half the tuition and has a 88.5% grad employment rate with a Median Starting Salary of $51,000.

It's Architectural CAD Technician program but It is good a challenging program. Instructors are good to teach to students in the classrooms. Instructors had no time explain to students after school because it is not enough time help us. I understand that Instructors had lots of explaining to students all day, but it's should more extra for a tutor to the students after school.

I completed the 6 month course and I had a great time. The teachers were fair and were helpful. My class was more interactive than most. With allot of teaching done by the teachers and other students. I personally helped more than others. Especially when Inventor came around. This is not a school where everything can be taught by the teacher. Student participation is also needed. Those who just sat back and "drifted" through got only the minimum. The support staff is outstanding, the student co-ordinator and admissions helped me attain my high school diploma and helped me continue on for the full year architectural certificate. Shure NAIT offers a similar course, if you want your hand held and to be coached every step of the way, go there. If you have initiave and intelligence take this class.

I am a student currently enrolled in the Architectural Design Program at Digital School, I am currently going into my second half of term 3, and will soon be moving to term 4, the final term before graduating. Here at Digital School is a different experience because I am 18 and fresh out of high school, now I was told that this would not be my typical college experience but I was expecting more students my age. Though knowing they cannot really change who applies for this college, this does not affect my rating. I would just like to let people know that most who enroll here are in their late 20's and 30's which, as much as I love going to school with people who are mature and here to actually learn, I feel as if I am a baby and feel that I cannot connect and grow friendships with people as easily or at all. As of yet I don't think I will be leaving here with any new friends. Digital School has it's up and downs. For many reasons I would recommend to come back or enroll if you are looking for a school. A few reasons why I would recommend Digital School is because it has a very friendly environment which allows comfortable learning. Another reason I would recommend Digital School is because the teachers are very good at understanding that you have a life outside of school and they are very lenient on due dates. Another, is because you do learn a lot of different Autodesk programs while studying here. There are however, reasons on why I would not recommend Digital School. First off, if you come into this program with any experience whatsoever, like myself, you will find that the program is very basic, and tends to focus primarily on knowledge of building codes and standards and less of actually drawing a floor plan and putting the building codes and standards to good use. Second, is that some of the teachers tend to lose handed in assignments and in some cases I've had to resubmit them 2-3 times before actually receiving a mark for them. Third, is that the school does not have great computers for running their programs, my classmates and I have all had crashing issues with the computers here, and I would think it s because of the fact that the class rooms get very hot during the day, and I know that is not good for computers, and they do not clean out the computers of dust and stuff that collects in them. Fourth is the marking. Nothing is wrong with how the teachers mark assignments, it's the fact that it takes literally weeks to get assignments back and sometimes even longer to have you marks updated on the online grading system. Being still young, and having a great relationship with my parents, I allow them to see my school marks and having this issue of ridiculously slow mark updating, I keep getting into a lot of stress and yelling fights with my parents on why I am not completing assignments when in fact I am and they have not yet been updated or they have been lost and I find out weeks later that I need to re submit them. For now I would like to rate them 2.5/5, I will be updating my review periodically throughout the rest of the school year with new positives and negatives that may come up.

I am a graduate student in the Architectural CAD Technician Program, and I am glad that I went to this school by choice. The teachers are phenomenal for all they want for you is to see you succeed and do their best. Though there is some things that aren't exactly the greatest, (like some questions not being answered to its full potential, etc) it is no different than any other institution. In the class environment it is truly unique for it is a small class environment that makes it easy to learn, as well as the class interaction is completely incredible. If you are a highly motivated student and can take heavy deadlines this school is definitely for you. They get you not just the information you need but prepared for also the work force and what to do after you are done your program of choice.

Porscha Demyen

I like Digital School because it allows me to learn sketch, geometry, communication, mathematics, architectural. Every course is taught step by step, from beginning to end. The process is a lot of fun and brings all professors and students together. I really end the culture at the school and the support I get.

Ojo Gbadebo

It is a good school for the architecture course. No need for upgrade as the school provided you with what you would otherwise need to upgrade to get into any other school, minus the less relevant stuff that comes with upgrading, which effectively streamlines the process. The instructors have proven to be better instructors than most other places I have visited and because of the small classroom, it gives a 1 on 1 learning experience which can make things easier and more engaging. Autodesk certification grants programs free with a 3 year license, which is basically 2 years after the program ends of free programs, which makes it easier when starting out as starting wage in most careers isn't the best, and to own Autocad is $4,195.00 according to sources so... It's good to have an extra 2 years free to save money. The building is located at a convenient spot with many bus routes as well as and LRT station for easy commuting to and from the facility from most of Edmonton. Taking another course prior to this one on architectural design, as well as being in this field in the past, I would say this course exceeds in providing the right information for your career and even some extras that may come in handy. Would I recommend this course, well if this description fits what your looking for, then yes I would recommend it.

The staff and the instructors are very supportive. The programs are all well planned well designed. Lectures are clear and easy to understand. The best thing about the school is the support that are given to students. Thank you Digital School!

Hello, my name is John Liuzzo, President, John's Presentation, a YouTube supported company. I would like to take this opportunity to thank The Digital School of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. At first, I was a little skeptical about online learning, but came to understand that our solutions to whatever we want to do in life come from within. It is all apart of us and I would like to proudly tell you that this is where John's Presentation began. I am now well underway in my design company to which I owe Tushar, the intake officer and others from this school. It began with a BIM technician program that turned into something wonderful: a classic car dealership second to none. I am now an artist living my dream and that is my point. People, take a chance in life and follow it through and become who you really are:. a super star in your own right even if the goal in your mind seems so very far. I am actually a proud owner of a YouTube channel called John's Presentation and it's all about classic cars. Please look me up and subscribe. Thanks again Digital School for all your patience and support. May your school flurrish till the end of time. God bless you. Yours truly, John Liuzzo, President, John's Presentation - a YouTube supported company.

I had a great time at Digital school the staff and students where very helpful and supportive throughout the program. It was scary before I started the program, being out of school for 16 years, but the staff was wonderful and helpful to me.
