I started engaging with George Brown via email from April 2021 onwards. In the beginning they were great with emails. I got replies and everything. Once, I decided to apply, but couldn't as the application portal and the website was down on May and June 2021. So I decided to wait. Finally on July the application portal and website was functioning, so I applied on 8th July. Paid the $95 and all that. After this I emailed them couple of times in August and now in September. Absolutely no replies from the international admissions office. I have went ahead and emailed other departments of George Brown, whosever's email id I could find on the internet. Only reply you will get from them is "Contact International Office". So all in all, I am stuck in a loop. This review won't change anything. Cause there are maybe 100 colleges in Canada. And we have millions of people from Asian countries who want to enter Canada for various reasons. For these sort of colleges, It's all business, at the end of the day. So my suggestion is, at least give the 95$ to someone who wont make you wait for 2 months. Apply to colleges, who will be worth the 95 dollars. People who are competent or have the basic courtesy. I have been an international student all my life. This is just absolutely ridiculous. And being a business student, I get super annoyed, when my money goes to waste. I wish I had spent that 95$ on another college or a decent meal or at least give it for charity. Guys there are many Universities and colleges who are hungry for students, and they don't even charge a application fee, cause during this pandemic, all they care is for students to apply and pay the fees later. Anyways, I am going off topic. All in all, I would not recommend George Brown College. Why? The international admission office is incompetent and inadequate. Here is the 1st update, after this review: Ashley, the manager of international enrolment, contacted me and assured me to get my application sorted by the end of next week (approx. 1 week). Now just imagine, if everyone was as efficient as Ashley, what a lovely world we would be in. Thank you Ashley. But even before getting any application update from them, I have decided not to pursue this college, why to spend time and money on a place where the admission process, the first process or association has been so awful. Last Update on 4th September: I got the offer letter. As I mentioned earlier, I wouldn't accept it, even if God appears and tells me to accept it. I just regret spending the amount of time and money spent behind this college.
Experience are good
I was enrolled in the three year advanced HVAC diploma program. We were in the second year, second semester when the college decided to take away our refrigeration teacher and replace him with another professor. The man who replaced our old teacher couldn't teach us effectively due to his thick accent and limited knowledge of the material. Our old teacher (Vince; amazing teacher) worked hard on getting back into our classroom to no avail. Naturally the students started going to the Dean to ask if we could get Vince back and the answer was always no. Students went to the Chair and again, no help. Refrigeration is a tough course, and to be tough it by a man that nobody can understand isn't going to help you learn it! As a class, we petitioned numerous times to get him out, again to no avail. There were some people saying that he was a relative of someone higher up in the college; classic nepotism. After the majority of the semester was over they finally gave in to the students and gave the professor an audit. They sat in the back of one of his classes; they got to watch the way he teaches, speaks and handles the students; they got to watch the chaos unfold. In a new day, different class, the Dean (or the Chair can't recall which) came in to tell us the result of the audit. They said he "met minimum requirements". She actually used those words. This news wasn't met kindly, and she left. I left shortly after, with no refund obviously. I refuse to recommend this "minimum requirements" college to anybody.
Disorganized. Not responsive. They received the originals of my document for an admission, and never returned to me. They distroyed the originals of my diploma and never returned it to me. Be very careful of your documents when submitting it to admission office in George Brown College.
When I contacted student centre, they always replied back to me late. And, the student service was not really helpful....
The best colleges in Canada
Worst place for education. Faculties don't do their job. Most of the professors can't even help with clearing student's doubts. Intentionally fail students to make money by making them retake the courses.
Although this is an old building, this college has high quantity equipments available for the students such as 3d printing, Surface studio in the library, apple comouters both in the labs and the library, etc. Unfortunately the same quality does not apply to the classes. As far as my own field, professors focuse on the quality of the exams and make it hard for the students to get marks rather than the quality of the actual classes and their content. Really poor selection of professor except maybe 3 to 4 for the whole program.
Best college in world
I've gone through life securing full funding from most universities I applied to and have never ever been rejected admission if not offered a scholarship. George Brown college, has been the first one to put me on a waiting list, for a program I applied to more than 3 months in advance. If there is a selection criteria, it is an arbitrary one.
Too bad
I was enrolled in a course in the transportation industry with Peter Dederer who was the professor teaching the class, I found him to be rude and not informative at all. For the amount of money I paid for the course I was expecting a little more. I wouldn’t recommend this program or school.
its aii
Great staff, welcoming.
(Translated) Apply for a two-year Diploma in Hotel Operations Management at George Brown College. This undergraduate diploma is available in very few places. After learning about this syllabus, he had asked them to investigate the matter. In addition to this, we have learned that the final colleges and courses are good. With the help of 'GeeBee Education', the practical documents required for the application are met. IELTS examination was given. I was a student there from 1990-1992 heating technician graduated with honours and my trade has taken me all over the world. I studied under a great guidance from John Dutton the most expert in the feild and all gas fitters study from the books he has written in Canada I fully endorsed this school for people in tradesmen.
I do volunteer work for Prosthetics program in conjunction with Sunny brook Hospital. GBC likely the best prosthetics training program in Canada.
Famous college in Toronto.
Smelliest college but the areas nice
If you have a serious career plan, this college will be the wrong choice for you. The only thing that matters for the people here is the money they will get from you. Your goals or your wishes mean nothing to them. You will not find anyone to tell your problems to here, even if you find them, your wishes will be ignored. Really disappointing.
Nice college atmosphere
Worst institute in Toronto, basis of this organization is to loot people and rob their dreams. They give you prospects of good education, good internship and good environment and in return take away your confidence , and understanding or reality. Dont take admission here.
BEST EXPERIENCE HERE! 4YEARS AND STILL GOING STRONG. IT MIGHT BE SMALL BUT I LOVE THIS PLACE LIKE I LOVE MY HOUSE AND FOOD
They raised the price from 10 to 13 dollars to park per day what a joke
I have been trying to get some information for a future student from both the International Department and the School of Fashion Studies and haven't yet received answers to 2 simple questions. When I spoke to 3 college reps regarding 1 question, I got 3 totally different answers. I don't think to provide 3 lines of course detail for each course of Semester 2 for a student paying 3 times more than a domestic student should be such a big deal for them. What's so confidential about course descriptions!! Still waiting for them to get back to me.
The teachers work with very little, under staffed, under budget, under appreciated and if this country would recognize the value in educating future generations properly and with adequate time, out populations economy would reflect it in a very positive way. In-spite of all these obstacles the staff in the library and accommodation centre especially work extremely hard to ensure every student is given time and energy to help them through there education. Thank you for helping me get through my program. To any future students, understand your education is what you put in to it. If the teachers aren’t working for you, bring tour material home and teach yourself. Learning is to individual to be done in mass classes of 20 or more and allot of students find it hard to keep up especially later on in life. Don’t lose faith, allot of the people who work here want you to succeed.
I applied to George Brown and received no more than a confirmation email from them. At the time of writing this review, it has been 5 months. And there was no reply from my contacting them.
I have applied in GBC college for September 2019 intake so, may I know how much time they will take to issue an offer later. I have applied on 26th of November 2019. Thank You!!
hi there. can anyone tell the cost of living off campus in this area if we compare outside of the Toronto downtown plus the computer related diploma in this campus ?
Their line is always busy!!! Not much help. They do not care.
Have you ever made the Dean's list? It's easy at this school. Once you pay for your program you quickly find out just how easy it all is. I got 80% in a course that was supposedly the 3rd most failed course in the school and I didn't ever study or own the textbook. Most of the teachers are immigrant industry professionals so be prepared to have a hard time understanding their accents and even worse the trick questions they try to put on exams. English is not your first language don't try to play with words. Overall they are just giving out grades to make the school look good. The only people who fail are those not attending or those who get stressed out. The only advice I can give is don't buy any textbooks.
It's pretty good.
The best college for any health care related studies. They really prepare you for your profession.
Excellent college
The clinic services are excellent; however, the address is incorrect: it should be 51 Dockside Drive, Toronto (NOT 160 Kendal Ave.).
Having some problem with admissions, been calling them 5 times a day, they never answer your call, always not available. Spend a whole day on sending email, how funny they can reply your email in 10 mins but not answering your call!!! And staff is sooooo unprofessional, keep asking for information that I already told her so many times. Really want to give zero star if I could
TLC GBC - School of Accounting and Finance (Y)
One of the best colleges in Canada, and it's right at downtown Toronto. Kind of convenient. However, it's all about personal effort in terms of study and finding a job.
I have submitted my differ application on 15 june 2020, it has been up to 85 days yet I have not received any update. I have sent message many times for my application email through yet I have not received any update regardless my application.
When it comes too student parking, good luck they don't have one at st james campus.
Best college ever ♥️
Tired of online classes.
Pretty empty right now, sanitizer everywhere, would recommend.
Ok
George Brown college is one of the best college in Canada as specially in Ontario. It is in top 10 colleges of Canada as well as great placements for students. I am an international student I have got offer letter from this college. International students have first choice to study in this college. Main drawback is admission department take a lot of time to give you offer letter but it is totally fine because it will be worth in your future.
Quite a good college, I studied here at 2009 and really satisfied with the faculty and equipment around. It was an amazing start to my career path.
they should try caring about their students tbh
How know if the George Brown College is private or public? Thanks!!!
Poor layout of the school, fair caring profs, horrific parking, am currently year one taking bachelor in construction management am paing $9750 for the year
I never went to university and I ruined my life. BTW those two things have nothing to do with each other.
I applied for an online course with George Brown , costs me around 300 USD , after a month of study i finished the course and asked for my certificate , they asked me to pay fees for it !!! i answered i only need a soft-copy through my email as i am living outside Canada ,even if i paid the requested fees OK i agree ... surprisingly they asked me to mail them an application request and pay the fees .. like we are living in the stone ages !!! ... after contacting each email in the college asks for any soft-copy certificate for the course i have finished and paid for ,it`s unfair to pay 150 USD for express mail just to send a request .At the end the final answer came that the course i have finished dose not have a certificate ...... What a lost of time and money i paid for this institute ... i really feel sorry i applied for this course and feel glad i didn`t attend any of its full programs. All of the information i mentioned is original and i have email proving this
One of the best colleges in Toronto. I spent 4 years studying Construction Engineering. Lots is activities through out the year. I enjoyed my time here.
Beautiful place to study. Great environment. Parking conditions terrible. It is not George Brown College who owns the parking but a third party. Many times you cannot get out of the parking because is very tight and small. They raised the price 30% this week. Toronto police instead of controlling traffic in the area, tag the parked cars while they should be tagging the cheap owners.
Unprofessional staff, completely courses being cancelled without notice, teachers laughing at students who are under immense stress, no refund after a 5 week strike without any compensation, student services doesn't care leading you in circles, unrealistic deadlines and lack of considerations that work for a living to afford the tuition, expensive I maintained student housing. I could go on but I don't think I need to to make my point that this is a terrible school. If I could give 0 stars I would.
Teachers had accents, couldn't understand them.
great opportunity on academic upgrade experience
Wish I had of choosen Humber or Centennial collage for my HVAC/R program.
Excellent college in the heart of the city.
Did my dual credit in grade 11 here, had a good experience with a nice professor and nice classmates; tests and assignments were hard but not too hard.
Nobody is there really. Most of the seating is closed also.
Friendly place
Great attention when you want to enroll, TERRIBLE attention when you want to withdraw. It's been months that I've been trying to get my money back for a course I paid and couldn't take because of COVID. There's always a way to avoid me or an excuse.
School is horrible. I am in the ECE program they pretty much tell you to quit your job and all you can do is this worthless program. I wasted $4000 on this program and its been nothing but hell on earth. Teacher's dont know what they are talking about half the time, while on black bored on my phone taking notes (cant read the power points nor are we aloud laptops in class), I am trying to keep up and teachers out right TAKE YOUR PHONE and places it on the front bored for EVERYONE to see! I was humiliated! Is this high school?! If you can, take your money and go else where. The secretaries are even worse. Rude, and completely cruel. Not to mention they changed the book list this year to new editions and told NO ONE ! So of course I bought all my books second hand, which are no longer in the curriculum since they are completely new books! I feel horrible for the second years who can't sell off their books anymore! Listen to me, take your money else where and stay far away from this trash school.
Nice building.
Very disappointed with online classes.
Toronto College At Its Finest! They are constantly growing and improving... recently adding new Waterfront construction with the Limberlost Center. Can't wait to see how that looks & feels when completed. Things have been online recently (#COVID) but they are working to open things up again!
I went to George Brown, during the strike one of the worse times for any student to be in school but I pushed on. The reason I brought this up is because how the professors in my previous program of SSW responded to it. The experience was awful before the strike and after the strike because, many professors don't really care for your well being rather their care about their assignments on time. Something the commercials for this school tend to leave out. If you want to go to a school that is academically inclined, then go here. However; if you want to a place where they actual care about your progress and mental health then go somewhere else. For this isn't the school you want
Just waste time and money Friendly advice goes to a private college that helps you save your time and reach your goal very fast. I waste 2 years for gas licensed here. my friend got his licence less than 1 year at Hi-Mark.
I studied there for 2 years. Generally, it's a good campus. It has parking areas around but a bit expensive. You also can beside the street. It has 2 food courts that don't have too many choices, but it's not bad (Pizza Pizza, Tim Horton's, Subway, Pizza Nova etc.). It's 5 mins walking to the subway. A big library and too many computers. It also has a big silent area to study. Medium gym size.
Could be better
5 stars for no reason :)
Good college, if you want to get construction education, it's the best.
i have very bad experience with this college. I have paid fee for offer letter for my son in the month of july. after the gap of 2 month they replied that the programme is closed and go for another course. I think College is collecting money with wrong tactics from international students.
Great place
I only have 3 profs that seem to care about the experience that they are giving us. The program I'm in is rife with cheaters, disruptive students and people who have no business being in this program (people who don't know how to find the area of a triangle or know what a vertical line is). These issues are, believe it or not, an institutional issue. GBC is a diploma factory, so go elsewhere if you're afraid of your time and money becoming meaningless in the future. Sincerely, a student with an honest 4.0 GPA. I'm absolutely disgusted with this college.
My brother has been studying at George Brown College for 3 years. The school is really great for international students. A lot of support from falcuties and staffs
I passed by yesterday. It's quiet. I like the ginkgo trees.
Not good
Useless college! I wasted my money and time there.
Amazing
Toronto is home to many major industries in Canada and one of the most important economic hubs in North America. As such, the city becomes a living lab for our students. We have three main campuses and several other locations that place students in the heart of downtown Toronto -- St. James Campus, Casa Loma Campus and Waterfront Campus.
It's been 2 years in George Brown College.. nice, clean and secure..
Great college to study
George brown college is one of the best colleges in ontario
Did Gas 2 couse about few years back It was totally worth it , the teacher Mike was awesome and very knowledgeable. Thank you
The school really needs to work on fixing or switching systems, when you switch into a different class it can take up to 5 business days to actually be placed into the class. When you switch two classes, this can become a complete challenge. I’ve contacted blackboard technical support and they said there is nothing they can do. We have been using blackboard for a long time since the pandemic started this should not be a problem. The teachers are hit and miss. There are some teachers that are great, they like to teach they come to class on time are engaging, make learning the material relatable to what you will be dealing with outside of the class room and provide recorded lessons from the class for some students that need to go back and learn or some students who prefer to learn on their own time. -There are teachers that will go over the midterm, quizzes, and do practice quizzes in class to prepare you for the real one so you know where you need to study and improve. Then there are others that just seem so uninterested in teaching students and do the bare minimum with providing pre recorded videos on YouTube, material from the year prior without changing any of the dates and a email incase you have any questions on the content.
In terms of facilities, this campus is much better than St.James.
I literally attend only Farhad Taghina's classes. Materials Testing is the only course where I actually learn something and he sure knows how to teach. Disciplined guy. He is very precise and he wants his students to achieve more. Lucky George Brown, there are not many teachers like him. That 5 star goes to material testing!
If you had good time more power to you i called on the phone asking about a certain course and the lady on the phone was very rude like come on i was being polite i hate when people act rude to me when i was acting polite i just wanted some information on the video game program but i guess they too busy for that...
bewt skewl; efver
hi, can any one please tell me if it's difficult to get accepted at dental hygiene or practical nursing program, and tell me about your experience. Because i am graduating from high school this year and i am so worried and this is the only community college that has dental hygiene program in Toronto, which i really badly want to get in. It wold mean a lot to me
DO NOT GO THERE. ZERO STARS if I could. You have been WARNED. It's like you are dealing with the Mafia. The ONLY thing GEORGE BROWN COLLEGE cares about is it's money. Do not waste your time. I've attended two other great universities and two other colleges and I have never seen anything like this. . You will not be able to access anything if you are late with your payments, no grades, no course selection, NOTHING. SO that being said, go there if you like supporting an organization who feeds off students misfortune. Also... The washrooms are not enough, so the line ups are always long, they don't have proper ventilation in them so you have to hold your breath and they are always DISGUSTING. I hate doing this but had to use the handicap washroom sometimes and even there is a bit gross.
Very robotic organization that treats you as a number, and hard to actually speak to a real person in the adminitration for any unique circumstances. Their visual education teacher Mark was amazing, but most of my professors didn't care about the students or their teaching method, and did the bare minimum required of them. After being ignored by the Dean and other faculty when presenting suggestions to improve their new online experience, I ultimately was so dissatisfied I changed schools (retaking some of the same classes), which were conducted MUCH better. Maybe other departments were better, but the architecture school was disappointing (and if you're in interior design, you are REALLY their last priority. Be prepared to do your hand drafting class without desks, as all preference goes to the arch students!)
One of the best college in Ontario.
please read this review if you are thinking about the technology programs at this college I am writing this review to expose the technology department and their misconduct of monitoring the teachers. I had a bad experience at the school and the issue has been avoided and my complain was not treated as serious as it should be. next you will be reading exactly word for word about the issue. and the issue at hand is monitoring the teachers and their conduct. also my hard earned 400 dollars that is going to waste and they (people I have been in contact with) are not answering my question regarding the refund. #! I am currently enrolled in this class mentioned above and this is a formal complaint; To whom this may concern; My name is Saad Wadi, student ID is 100902934 I am complaining in regards to the teacher's conduct and method of carrying the class outline. this Saturday of March 23, 2013. Mr. Eduard Loiczli had given us an assignment that was beyond many of the students knowledge and capabilities and he was not even in class to further explain himself. He was attending other personal matters in a different class with 2 gentlemen whom he identified as other students who needed help in other matter. I personally told him that the assignment is beyond my understanding and that other student total of 2..are the only ones doing it right. and these 2 students were approaching the problem with PLC background. He came to the class room around 3:25 pm walked around and left again to attend to the matter mentioned above. then I became very frustrated and left at exactly 3:45 pm, He was not back in class yet. He was in the same location with 2 other gentlemen. I feel insulted and very unsatisfied with this matter. this defently changed my outlook on Geogre Brown college. I am not happy to even complain. because I still want to attend the class. But serously dont feel like Im going to learn much due to this experience. I would like my full amount refunded and I need confirmation please. I can't continue with this class. do NOT drop me out of the course until you tell me your decision of refunding me the full amount. I look forward to hearing from you Thanks her respons I am sorry to hear that the instructor was not available to you when you needed him to be. Working with Relay logic in the practical lab is quite daunting and lengthy for anyone. As the course is already half complete I would like to encourage you to continue with the course. The instructor is aware of the diversity of learning levels in the class and will be paying special attention to those who find this aspect of the course challenging. He will be providing one on one instruction and tutoring during class. It is our intention to make sure that every student has a positive experience and successful outcome. Please feel free to email me again or speak with me in person in my office should this arrangement not be to your satisfaction. All the best, Jill Jill Mulholland CE Coordinator Manufacturing, HVAC & ICT email#2 I am determined to move forward with my initial decision and would like full refund please..I have given the instructor the benefit of a doubt but last Saturday was an indication of his negligence and I refuse to put myself through it again. My decision is final. Please let me know weather I'm getting full refund or not‚ so I can take further action and drop out of the course. Thank you Hello Saad, As the course is now half complete, you are eligible to withdraw from the course without academic penalty. In the email below the offer for additional tutoring has been made should you wish to remain in the course. I have notified the manager, Joseph Sirianni, about your complaint. He is copied in this email. Please feel free to email Mr. Sirianni. Kind regards, Jill and the Gentleman Joseph Sirianni didnt even bother to email or anything, so I called and left a message. then he called and I missed the call, but he left no message, so I called again and left another message but still no respond.
Its alright
Great architecture program, Pietro brings pride and passion to shaping the next generation of designers, refreshing to be taught by someone who truly wants to see his students succeed.
George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology is a public, fully accredited college of applied arts and technology with three full campuses in downtown Toronto (Ontario, Canada). Like many other colleges in Ontario, GBC was chartered in 1966 by the government of Ontario and opened the next year. The college was established during the formation of Ontario's community college system in 1967. Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology were established on May 21, 1965. The college is named after George Brown, who was an important 19th century politician and newspaper publisher (he founded the Toronto Globe, forerunner to The Globe and Mail) and was one of the Fathers of Confederation. The college's predecessor, the Provincial Institute of Trades (PIT), was founded in 1951 to offer apprentice training on behalf of the provincial Department of Labour. In 1952, began operation at 21 Nassau Street in Toronto's Kensington Market and, after expanding with the construction of two additional buildings on the site, was offering programs in lathing and structural steel, barbering, diesel mechanics, jewellery arts, watchmaking and welding by 1961. In 1962 the province opened the Provincial Institute of Trades and Occupations (PITO), a sister training institute, at 555 Davenport Road near Casa Loma. When George Brown College was formed in 1967, it absorbed both the PIT and PITO and opened its Kensington and Casa Loma campuses at the two institutes' former facilities. George Brown College also went on to absorb, in 1969, four former Toronto Board of Education Adult Education Centres in a third campus at 507 College Street and, in 1973, five Toronto-area Schools of Nursing in 1973, including: St. Joseph's, St. Michael's, Toronto General, Atkinson (Toronto Western) and Nightingale. In 1973, a new expanded Casa Loma campus was opened. In 1976, the St. James Campus opened at 200 King Street East in buildings formerly belonging to Christie Bakery and Hallmark Cards. The Hospitality building (300 Adelaide E.) opened at St. James Campus in 1987, the same year that the College Street Campus closed. Kensington Campus closed in 1994. St. James campus consists of five buildings. The first is a large brick building at 200 King St. E. The second and third are located at 290 and 300 Adelaide St. East and are connected. They are home to Financial services, Creative Arts, Business Administration and the faculty of Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts. This campus is where the chef school is located.
GBC is a great school and have great professors and students but management people are not really good and I have never experienced dealing with a good staff in GBC.
They charge a lot of money to the students specially international students but they hire very unprofessional staff who don’t even accept phone calls rather they always push you to leave message for them and most of the time they don’t feel to reply
I have submitted my application for a program then the college after 2 months says your course seat is full then I applied again in other course in Feb till 30 March no reply from the college has came can any one from CLG connect with me to respond to this post
I never went to university and I ruined my life. BTW those two things have nothing to do with each other.
Worst college
Best place
Its good
I saw the teaching materials for construction estimating and I found they are not professionally organized. I wish it was more organized and properly managed.
IM UPSET!!! I asked for help at the continuing education office, they did not help me. They sent me to an email with very little directions on what to do. I needed help managing my time. then did little to no effort to help me and gave me attitude on top of it. I want george brown to continue to grow and be the best, but with people giving me additude it should not be expected. i pay alot of money to learn here i would appreciate it if they gave me the respect i give them.
Terrible service can't answer any real questions
Good to get enrolled in some specialized classes. Best teaching staff . Thank you.
Arguably the worst post-secondary school in the GTA, I could go into depth about just how bad george brown is, as an institution. 0 stars I regret not accepting enrolment in a university.
Disgusting that some professors neither enforce the rules regarding covid/social distancing nor follow the rules themselves. Should have expected this from a 3rd rate school that succumbs to ransomware attacks. If you're considering george brown I definitely recommend you look somewhere else, this school is a joke.
The school is really great for international students. A lot of support from falcuties and staffs
Their cooking class moved online. Their expectations are everyone is enabled with technology for the meetings, resources and access to supplies, food and kitchen space. Many are international students with non of this access. This is a clear money grab and the cooking classes should be either refunded and cancelled, or moved to smaller in class sizes for the price international students pay. If you're a professor for these classes you should be appalled by your choices as you are complicit with this cash grab for international students. Shame on you George brown and your professors.
This so called "college" is basically an immigration center for south asians where rich parent put their kids for an opportunity to move to Canada in the easiest way. No real knowledge here. Very few professors are interested in teaching and some of them know nothing about the subject they teach. Everything is inclined in just creating an image that you learn something while in fact you end up in a huge group of student where no one is interested in getting real knowledge. You will be able to pass all tests with ease even by doing nothing as no one is interested in what you actually get here.
The best college for international students!
Do not apply here. Most useless courses and the teachers are very racist when it comes to marking. Worst college experience.
Had good and bad experience in here just like how life goes. It is all individuals, who choose to enroll and step out of the college with any types of degree at the end of the year. Deep and wide research is required by yourself (students) before enrollment in any program. Parents love their boys to support to decide their path in career. Respect is also needed for them how they will choose their life. Reviews on this google map must be useful as well. Global education has been pursing diversity in nationalism. Huge range of mature and immature attitude exists in students and staffs just same as how communities are consisted of. Just like how Canadians help each other in any natural disaster, please support new comers (Non-Canadians) to Canada with your beautiful mind. If you place input 100% out of 100% you will get something, we do not know what is coming. If you don't, you will get nothing. Best of luck for all your school life.
Best college ever.
George Brown College (Casa Loma Campus) is the worst place for education.
Best college for International students in GTA.
Great school! Cant wait for restrictions to lift.
The best college
Depressing looking school, some professors are rude.
If you have decided to study at this college and your teacher is Val Pletch , you are very lucky indeed. I attended the lesson everyday with excitement. Thank you for everything you taught.
Worst admission coordinator. Rude and not supporting. They do not answer calls and neither answer properly
Hello It's been 24 days that I have applied to george brown college for course B161for January 2017 intake Bt no reply came yet.
Mixed bag of a college. Depending on what your studying and who's your professor. Some professors have questionable quirks or are strict , others are too relax/easy. Personally I prefer the strict professors as they say what they mean and treat everyone the same. No extensions for those that ask.The school does change up the professor if there is a problem, though they can only remove a professor after the term ends/ if the problem is made clear to management. Like any other large learning institution ,organization is always an issue of some sort. Would I say GBC is a poor school? no, is it prefect? no. You get what you put into it. Just don't go into gemology or fashion design and expect better pay then the construction or engineering programs. Your a college student , not a university student expect to start out as a green horn. Study something with some pay behind it and further your education after GBC. The school can only teaches you what you want to learn, when you attend ,with some effort on your part. Getting a good job after your program is your job. You need to research the career field ,check that it pays and hires students. If your studying dance expect to be paid and treated like a dancer, same as for fashion, millwright, tool and die, IT, plumbing, carpentry ,etc... Doesn't help the economy is in poor shape. Welcome to adult life.
Hello. Are there any people who study post graduated at marketing or finished it?
Not bad
Great Enviroment , Great Professors and Great Staff
Not bad, could hire more qualified professors for some courses. Some courses are filler courses which are useless. Structure of my program is good but could be way better.
It was great meeting
Great school, some teachers are questionable but the majority are very well educated
could anyone tell something about G109 game development program?
The worst college I’ve ever seen in my life .their professors just sit on their home and put every day too much power points and with a messy schedule.they don’t care about students that how they can manage too much stuff.for each final exams about 2000 pages for each course without any break between them.I wasted my time and money
(Translated) Mr. Where can you register? (Original) Mr. Bisa daftar dimana ya?
Don't feel like I am learning from this college. if you want to learn something from college, do not go to this school.
It was okay.
I'm interessted to study in george brown college and i would like to have more informations to study and have a carrier
Tried to park at lot B and the machine robbed my 10 dollars and completely shut up and rebooted ... Tried to call the line the and man was very rude and unknowledgeable, kept cutting me off while speaking and told me to call another line cause he can't help me.. Don't give your money to this company!! Very unprofessional people who are supposed to "help"
The online courses provide in a high quality during this pandemic time. I do 100% recommend GBC.
Architectural Programs T-132 & T-109 are amazing here, you will nor regret for any moment spent here!!!
The casa Loma campus is disgusting. Tables are seldom wiped in the cafeteria, microwaves go days or longer without being cleaned, and the only thing that is even nastier is the bathrooms. Over Christmas break a bowl of soup was left in the microwave for 2 weeks and was starting to form intelligent life before it was finally disposed of. If you have to go to the bathroom good luck finding a toilet you're willing to sit on they always have urine and worse all over the seats. Literally expect to walk to 4 bathrooms or more before finding a decent one. They are never clean. I'm not sure if this says more about the students or the staff but you would think with the amount they charge students they could at least clean the place. I'd give this place a negative score if I could
George Brown college is one of the best college in Canada as specially in Ontario. It is in top 10 colleges of Canada as well as great placements for students. I am an international student I have got offer letter from this college. International students have first choice to study in this college. Main drawback is admission department take a lot of time to give you offer letter but it is totally fine because it will be worth in your future.
I enrolled in the electromechanical technician distance education program. Very grateful for the opportunity to study and pursue a post secondary education and work at the same time. If you have an interest/aptitude for this field and the discipline to focus on learning in your spare time then consider this program.
Elevator needs work
Worst college for international student. They will make you wait for almost 2 months for offer letter, and after 2 mnths decline your application saying "program is closed". Never waste your time with this college.
Great school for trades and being in a apprenticeship
I've only attended this college for courses in the trades, but I have to say, the teachers are very good at their jobs and are friendly. They've helped me learn countless new skills that will be helpful for years to come. I would recommend this college if you are looking to learn a trade. For their other programs, you'll need a different review
