We have the information of real people who are purchasing the services of Collège La Cité (College) in Gananoque territory (Canada).
Right now the firm receives a score of 3.3 over 5 and the score is based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that the average of ratings is discreet, and it's founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the rating is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to leave their score when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to put feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This College belongs to the category of College.

Some teachers are not competent for teaching. Overall ok experience.
(Translated) poor administration service (Original) service d'administration mediocre
no comment terrible college they only want your money. they profit of the international students don't study there. the professors are too bad the schedule is so terrible. they give you a lot of stress for nothing if you want to get your diploma you have to study alone. the majority of the professors they gave the course and they don't care. I regret to choose this college. sorry but that's the truth.

(Translated) I do not recommend at all. Disorganized, don't waste your time. (Original) Je ne recommande pas du tout. Désorganisés, ne perdez pas votre temps.
I had one of the best experience with education at that college. I was 30 years old and went back to study. Thinking it would be hard! But really the college offered great tools and tips for a guy like myself who suffers from ADHD. I was able to finish with one of the highest averages in the college and give me a boost in my self esteem back into the workforce. Thank you so much!!
(Translated) It is a dreadful and horrible school! These people are only obsessed with money and nothing else. Class schedules are as horrible as they are. The teaching leaves much to be desired. The subjects not well explained. The books of mathematics are devoid of explanation and clarity. There are no words just to describe the incredible disorganization of this college on all levels The teachers are absolutely incompetent and are cruelly devoid of seriousness and kindness. And, the workload given by the teachers is inhuman and intolerable, to the point that it ruins the quality of life of the students. With the enumeration of all the deficiencies of this college earlier in the text, it is clear that we should not set foot in this school. Do not go to the COLLEGE CITY for nothing in the world!
Literally the worst school ever. Don't care about students, awful schedules, really out of the way, only 1 bus goes there every half hour and it gets so full that you can wait an hour and a half just to get on a bus, no upass, expensive tuition for nothing, don't learn anything, go anywhere but here

SO DISAPPOINTED ! GO TO ALGONQUIN !!!! Horrible school; I wasted 3 whole yearsof my life being tormented and judged by MY OWN teachers. JUST BECAUSE MY FIRST LANGUAGE WAS NOT FRENCH. What is a french college doing in Ontario if it degrades peoples who haven't been bought up with french? That is just WRONG! One year at Algonquin for Architecture and I am getting 80's and 90's. La Cite just wants your money. GO ANYWHERE ELSE BEFORE THIS SCHOOL. One teacher even purposely failed me and made it obvious that he did not like me inside and outside of school. TRY ALGONQUIN. AT LEAST THEY ARENT PREJUDICE AND JUDGEMENTAL. I have been going to a french school ALL my life and not once have I felt so unwanted. If I coud give it a MINUS 5 STAR I would.

(Translated) I find that this school lacks class and respect for the students. Many in covid times didn't have $ full to pay for before the ceremony and if you didn't pay the full amount they did NOT make the person a pathetic "graduate."
Tremendous installations. Cool volley-ball court. Convenient parking and polite staff. Good Job.
Worst. Student. Services. Seriously, the service here for everything (other than your teachers) such as payments, itineraries, classes, student help, parking or anything other than going to class is poorly managed. The service and administration is also quite lacking. It took nearly a year for me to get my own diploma, and my friend who had never received it has to PAY for a copy of his own diploma, a year after graduation. I also have a strong feeling this college is obsessed with money. 600$ / semester for parking? No inclusion of a buss pass into the courses price? Sometimes pay to get your own diploma? In the end.. This place will give you a hard time, with bad service. At La Cité, studying is the last of your worries, because they give you plenty of other reasons to.

Studied there but they never told us our diploma in electricity was worthless in Québec. 80% of us were Quebecers... 12 000$ in the garbage and no job.
Took two programs in this school one of which was Respiratory Therapist….the teachers for that one explain things as if they think everyone understands the same way they do !! The heck. Had to quit that one while I still could. Second one was Business Admin, ended up graduating from it and it’s the best choice I’ve ever made so far. BUT ! Some of their teachers I have no idea where they get them from. But in all honesty they weren’t all bad. The hours are messed up ! You could have one class at 10am and a whole 5 hour break in between the second class!!!!
I am currently in a program in this college and I am heading into my second year. To be completely honest, I hated my first year, not because of the program itself but some teachers were not professional and some services either. I have a protocol for my learning disabilities and when I needed help, the support service or the guidance counselor that they had paired me with were never available in any situations. At the beginning of the year, it took them 8 months to final respond to my emails. During my second semester, I was placed in a regular french class when I am supposed to be in the slower kind. It took them 5 months to answer my emails and finally place me into the right class. I regret going to this school and just because of that. I am thinking of going elsewhere. Terrible service, and terrible teachers (some).

(Translated) La Cité Commerciale, which I would no longer recommend to anyone.
Guaranteed the first time you'll get lost. The college is in a sort of circular shape, with the A building and the H at the principal entrance. Depending on where you're going, you can either enter through A or H or other entrances like I and others.
No U-Pass, served only by route 129, usually in packed shortbuses because it serves Stations Hurdman, St-Laurent, and Blair, as well as the residential area in the Quarries, the NRC, La Cité's own (awful) student dorms, the homes on Den Haag Dr, a small part of Mntl. Rd. proper, and the community housing on Carson's Rd. Folks will tell you it's also served by Route 12, although that's a 5 - 15 minute walk to Mntl. Rd. in sometimes -30 C weather. Fun times. ----- This is a cautionary tale. If french is NOT your main language, don't. Just don't. Don't even learn french to go here. If you really need to go to a college rather than a university, there's always Algonquin. I haven't actually studied at Algonquin, though, so I can't really say anything meaningful about it, other than the fact that it's part of the Ontario public college network, like this one. If you do speak french as your main language, by all means, feel free. The teachers and other support staff are usually really nice and knowledgeable, and I'm sure I could have learned a lot if I actually understood what was being taught. A complaint about Ontario colleges; they're really specific in purpose. They train students for a very specific line of work like a continuation of the assembly line Ontario/Québec public school system, hence the 3 stars. But that's just me. If you know exactly what you wanna do in life (somehow), a college is the right place for you. Would give 4 if I spoke french enough to understand what I was being taught.
Public parking is very large and close to the buildings. This college has many rooms available to use for business meetings or conferences. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The college also offers many programs on French and is the only one in Ottawa.
(Translated) very good college, good education; but too much work to do, it's stressful (Original) très bon collège , bon enseignement ; mais trop de travaux à faire, c'est stressant
Only care about the money and very careless toward their students. When they do some mistakes, they don't even fix it completely.... Then that ends ups affecting the students' osap funding. Very unimpressed with them.
Go to Algonquin instead
Good
City busses bring and pick up right in front of the campus, some teachers better than others and some programs way more equipped than others. Overall great college though some teachers need to get better or get fired.
(Translated) Congratulations for the concept and the service. The buffet is delicious and very affordable. From the big kitchen !!
The gym is great! Felt quite confident that the cleaning protocols for Covid are done. Staff is friendly and professional!

It's a great college for the Culinary aspects personally in my opinion and really easy to find your classes and you meet great people and sometimes your closest friends.
Quality Institution
(Translated) For all those who wish to do the EXPLORE program during the summer, I do not recommend this college. Great lack of disorganization, the schedules are terribly charged, A lot of homework, and so on. For those wishing to visit the city or take full advantage of their 5 weeks of summer, choose another college, because here you have almost no free time. A lot of work to do in a short time and it causes great stress for most students. For a college that offers academic "credits", I sincerely recommend you choose another college if you want to have fun and enjoy your summer, while learning English well.
I have a diploma from there, I met great teachers and nice people. I have fond memories (and many forgotten dorm evenings) of this place. Great school for french people. I'd translate this in french but I know you speak english...

Had a lovely lunch there last week. Very attentive service. My fish was a very tiny bit oversalted, but hey, all in all, a great four-course lunch for a rather reasonable price.

(Translated) Good school but when I was there there was a strike etc which made school complicated (Original) Bonne école mais quand j’y étais il y vais la grève etc qui a rendu l’école compliquer
The teachers here (some of them) are very unproffesionnal in the subject that they teach. Here are some of the things that I heard in the last semester: I've got nothing wrong with my ego, my car is awesome and I got nothing wrong between my legs I don't care what you present or what you present about I just don't want to kill myself of boredom I've been handed exams that are missing complete pages. And then the teachers asks us to answer the questions on the flip side of the exam (we where filing taxes so quite hard) Anyway I'm Happy my first year here is done
The front office, is absolutely awful, no communications is made between staff so you’re always stuck doing all the work on your own. You can never get served well!
Please do not go to this college. I have so many things to say about this college that I don’t think there’s enough space to write them down. First off, I graduated from La cité 1year ago and they forgot (lost) to send me my college diploma. I contacted them for over 8 months before finally get an answer. That answer was that I had to pay 50$ to get only a copy of my diploma and she wasn’t sure when I’ll get the original. What a joke. Second, they hired a new teacher for my English class, and he didn’t understand English at all. We had to help him translate. Because he didn’t understand what he was doing he let everyone pass with a 60% Over all, I learned more from my high school classes then from La Cité. Please don’t go there!

My program was good. Although, terrible student service. The prof were very rude with my older sister who went to school in French for her whole life. I would not recommend it if your first language is not French. Better off at Algonquin.
I'm doing the photography program there and it was a mess. We were moved three times in the three semesters I was there and it was all because of renovations. They knew about them in August (when our orientaion happened), and if they had told us that I wouldn't have gone that year. There isn't much communication around, and you have to go all over the place to get a question answered. The rest of the college is clean, when not in renovations, but some of the services aren't the same as a bigger place, ei Algonquin College. Plus, there is no UPass.
(Translated) Good teaching (Original) Bon enseignement
(Translated) My experience at La Cité collégiale was really great. I had good teachers, I had great encounters and it was really technical. Of course, it's not perfect-perfect, like all schools, but at the school level, with Cégep and university, my best years of study were at La Cité. For those who come from Quebec, like me, the price of the sessions vs the price at Cégep is a big difference. You pay a lot more in the City and you pay for a lot of things. Do I regret the money invested? Not at all. Would I do the same? Certainly, without hesitation. I go back to the school restaurant every year and I like to take a little tour of the college, it brings back good memories.
(Translated) the city is poorly organized, total absence of communication even if you new they are without pity to the student and incompetent administrative staff granny on the phone he answers you meme not well granny with the cat this worse then in the name of the students in request the change of the organization is the closure. It was the hardship of the students especially supposedly the admissions office in any case for me I took my worst experience in the city. I have experience at Algonquin College which is 10,000 times more organizational. Finally, I recommend not to the future student in the city. Sucks to work whit crappy schedule's :/
(Translated) I had big problems with the management of the establishment. Unnecessary regulations, directives that make no sense and much more. It is a school that does not want student success, but MONEY (Commercial City). What to say about security. This is the WORST security I have ever seen, it looks like they are there to cause more problems and to make students less safe. However, I was in the Police Technical Program, and I loved the program and the program opens up career opportunities for me. The program is very well run, too bad the school is not.
(Translated) Terrible lack of organization! Students and teachers deserve better! I received my schedule late, I was not warned that I had to take an English test so I was told I had to take it to be credited at the start of the school year. I've been sent anywhere for over a month to spend and the deadline is tomorrow! In short, if you are anxious, but you are adept at thrills, I recommend this school. (Original) Terrible manque d’organisation!

Overall it's a nice campus, but DO NOT TAKE THE PARAMEDIC PROGRAM HERE. They make the program cheap but guaranteed you will fail. Every year over 90 students get in and less than 12 graduate. They will deduct points to their discretion. They have 4 different teachers who teach lab and expect you to follow what the new teacher will teach. The lab teachers don't get a long and will get offended if you as questions to another lab teacher. Trust me don't take the paramedic program here you will fail. I graduated from paramedic program here and had to redo it. The prpgram teaches you useless information that other colleges wouldn't teach. Also parking is like 20$ and you have enter your license plate number. This is a huge cash grab college. There's an investigation going on regarding the paramedic program because too mamy people are failing.

I had a great experience there the teachers are great!
Extremely bad admission process which seems to place a lot more importance on international students ($$$) than Canadian citizens or permanent residents. The aptitude test for the Nursing program asks questions about games such as solitary and chess???
(Translated) Avoid the Cité Collégiale at all costs. As other reviews say, they want money and their programs are not too strong. Uottawa has cut 1 year of credit with the City because it no longer meets the needs. I took the courses in Finance and La Cité goes no further than the curves of offers and demands and the obligations of the government. Your tax lessons will be on white sheets and you will hardly have 2-3 days in 3 years on expert tax. Pathetic as a course. You could learn more about the field of finance by reading Meynard Keynes, Warren Buffet and others like it.

I wouldn't recommend anybody to go there if u are Planing to mouve to a different place other than a francofone region . I studied there and i mouved to an anglophone province trying to get certified as a proffesional in that province was so much hassle bcoz the school didn't want to translate my transrcript in english thinking probably everybody understand french . they should at least help students succeed in the work market .
I don't recommend this school.

(Translated) Don't go to this school and here's why: They charge students extra fees when they just shouldn't be there. Some of its costs can be withdrawn, but they are minimal and show that the school takes advantage of the naivety of its students to pass them small quickly. After contacting them, the school stopped responding to emails seeing that there was ultimately no impact on their image and completely ignored the reminders afterwards. Basically, they only think about money and not the success of their students. Especially in times of covid. Also, the field of computer science contains several incompetent teachers in particular Luc Rainville who despite several complaints at each session and year, it always finds to teach. He is extremely slobbery, not at all professional. Without any embarrassment, he sends the students for a walk asking him questions. He does not use the city's modules in any way and his corrections even include a subjective part of his assessment of "the project", not to say the student. There are also recognition exams. However, these tests were designed to show you off and not recognize if you really have the knowledge. EX: English exam, You are asked a choice of answer question, but several of its answers may be correct. Example question: Complete the following sentence: I have _____ The choices: not slept, slept and something ridiculous like "have something" (repeat the same word) So you sink? Shame! You have just paid to take a test serving to make you sink so that you can then take the course. There are also people I know who only have 1 or 2 lessons to take for a session and they had to fight with the school in order to reduce the price they pay while the city charged them the full price! And even that some have not succeeded in bringing them down. So the full price for a session of 1 or 2 lessons! The school makes fun of the students. Domage!
