Here you will see the opinions of real people who purchase the services of Carleton University (College) near Gananoque (Canada).
At the present the business gets a rating of 4.4 stars out of 5 and the rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings that it reaches is quite positive, and it's founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the valuation is very accurate. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they are pleased, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to place opinions when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This College is included in the category of University.
Growth-oriented ambitious educational culture. Many new facilities. Quality is emphasized. Students are valued and respected. An excellent managerial attitude with serious potential to become the best in town. Numerous internationally-renowned professors.
Applied for engineering, never received an acceptance email or letter but later when I checked the portal online it said "expired offer of admission". I contacted the school and they said it was too late. Don't rely on email/phone/mail (even if you supply all that information!).
it's a beautiful campus but there's always some construction going on no matter now small. there was construction while i was in school (around 2010-2014) and i visited recently and there is still construction LOL. the greenhouse exhibit is beautiful and convenience getting to and from school was great. other than the construction the new buildings are amazing and the scenery surrounding the school is beautiful. FINALLY the comms program has a building of its own
Go Ravens Go! Can't wait to start in CU and live in Ottawa!
Closed due to COVID-19
As a previous student I enjoyed my time there. As a graduate it is like the registrars office is stuck in the dark ages, making it difficult to get transcripts in a timely manner. We live in a digital age why must I wait for documents in the mail? You need them in a hurry, you can bare the cost of currier service.
A beautiful campus with friendly staff and strong internet throughout. In the library they have access to 3d printers, a games room, standing desks and treadmill desks.
A beautiful campus with excellent faculty and facilities. Really enjoyed my time there.
A really nice university with amazing locations and facilities. I will never get tired of visiting it. The buffet three times a day is great. The Rideau Canal passes along its side. There are two train stations within the Campus and the green is everywhere. The tunnels help us to avoid rain, snow or heat. Beautiful and amazing.
My first international university. I came here in 2009. Really nice campus. Canada's capital university.
It was amazing and best university located besides rideu canal with amazing seating arrangement for students to read there near canal it is largest campus surrounding with amazing sports fields....!! Looking to there again in future!
One of the best universities in Canada!
Great university, great campus
Ok University. Bad teachers and not a lot of resources. If you come to Carleton you'll teach yourself everything but I guess most schools are like that. Terrible parking services and bad library hours. I would have attended another university.
Beautiful
Nicols Building
Great buzzing atmosphere at the University evwn in winters
Amazing university. Impeccable education.
Hello, Indian Students from Carleton how was your experience here! We saw the university and we liked it but I felt that there are not many south East Asian (Indian) students so would like to know how was your experience and how were you treated by everyone from fellow students to professors to admin staff. My son is starting this September and I really want to know the honest reviews! Thanks in advance!
It is beautiful I highly recommend it high education
My university.
Beautiful campus, with a lot to offer for students of all areas of study.
I love my experience at learn about Ottawa. I want more.Thank you.
????????
Dad works here good place needs some cleaning tho
Jreg went here so obviously it's good.
I will give an idea of few things for international students. I was one among them last year. I wish I had known. To get your upass, student is when you come in, go to the university center second floor above the food court. Then to eat something, food courts are there at, sports complex, university center and residence complex. Apart from this there is gym at the sports complex, you need an ID card and proper gym clothes to access. Here you have a changing room too. Indian students who study here are mostly electrical or mechanical students. So for them, McKenzie is where the elec subjects are there. Apart from this, all you have to know is bus number 7,101,111,4 comes here to the bus stop outside the minto complex. There is facility of train ???? too opposite to bus stop. You will learn after you go to college and come back twice or thrice.
Nice university
Great first year! So much fun! Partys were amazing!
Best undergraduate school in the Capital city
Carleton University is an amazing school. Between the amazing people, the beautiful campus, and the perfect position in Canada's capital city, it's perfect. The education system is well organized and the profs are spectacular. I love it here. The food is also a major bonus.
best in the world
I fell in love with all the BA programs Carleton has to offer and I'm just in love with how amazing the campus looks. I heard nothing but amazing things about Carleton from some friends. I can't wait until I can apply for the 2017-2018 term.
Excellent choice for students.
Outstanding school. Huge amount of groups, programs, and clubs to join to enhance school experience. Beautiful campus.
For a young man living in the GTA, I knew I wanted to get away from the big lights to a place with smaller bigger lights lol. Carleton is great. Opportunities galore, people to meet all the time - you make the experience, but the campus really enhances that alongside the many clubs and activities a student can participate in.
Excllent school, excellent adminstration, top student services, puts students first, beautiful campus and many flagship programs.

Great school! Love the staff and everyone! My son goes here and he loves it!
Beautiful campus, friendly vibes
Lousy University by all means! Terrible experience, the worst 5 years of my life wasted there!
Hopefully going here next year! :)
Great place to go to school
Need to be more knowledgeable
Carleton University is a public comprehensive university in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1942 as Carleton College, a private, non-denominational evening college to serve veterans returning from World War II,[4] the institution was chartered as a university by the provincial government in 1952 through The Carleton University Act. The legislation was subsequently amended in 1957 to give the institution its current name.[4] The university moved to its current campus in 1959
nice...
Don't fail me
I don't got there yet but so far so good! My friend and I went last Sunday to look around and see the buildings our classes will be in. Someone in Alumni Hall printed us a map and showed us on the map how to get around. It was really helpful. Can't wait to keep exploring and I can't wait to attend in sept :)
Awful. Save your money.
Carleton is a great University that offers many different programs and has a great faculty to support students I'm partial to Sprott School of Business.
An Alright school
Best university
Took one class here as a transfer credit for UOttawa. Loved the staff and everyone was really helpful. Nice campus and my professor was quite good and passionate about what he taught. Their anthropology department was quite good to me and helpful in terms of setting me up with a class I needed to graduate. Less one star because I’ve had my final grades for UOttawa for weeks now and I’m just waiting on Carleton.
This is an amazing university, great education and an amazing engineering program. Speaking from experience, they have great sports teams as well as almost all sports available for recreational purposes. The school is run by students and there are always exciting events happening almost everyday. There is a club for everything, for every interest. The campus is beautiful, a lot of new buildings and a lot of nice sights. People all around campus are really nice, really friendly. This is a really easy place to make friends because no one is uptight and really helpful from what i've experienced, anyone will offer a helping hand whether its classes or you cant find some place whatever it is. And the teachers/professors are also great, didnt have a bad experience yet! Definitely recommend this university to anyone i know! :D
Almost finished my degree, and looking back it was a very mixed experience. Lots of good (friends, food, some profs), lots of bad (res, leadership, other profs). And it's not a high rated school overall, so hopefully I can find a decent job.
Very nice campus. Near the river and the rideau canal
Great summer courses for children! It was an amazing environment, with parties, cultural activities and games. The facilities are awesome, there is a big pool, soccer fields, cafeteria, gift shop. The tunnels are amazing.
Tunnels!
Such an overwhelming experience to be within this university!
They have great space all over the campus and the cafetiere was amazing.
Carleton University: Where the K stands for quality.
A great school! There are lots of underground tunnels that connects the buildings so it's easy to get around. They have lots of seating areas so there lots of places to sit and study. There are a lot of parking lots on campus which is awesome! It's great for those who take public transport as it's right by the O-train.
Beautiful library and green, spacious campus.
Great university. Loved my time there. Go see the groundhogs in the square

Love the tunnels!
Lots of career options, good professors. A bit far from downtown.
Yup...
It's a great campus
My university. Love the tunnel system.
I highly suggest you choose carleton
Great snacks!!
I love it
Good university. Not crowded, big campus and lots of big projects to keep you occupied!!
Nice campus alongside the river. If you are interested in exploring the area, there are a lot nice scenery nearby.
My experience was amazing. Staffs, faculty, my friends were just amazing. I love my university, the support which I got from Carleton, I don't think I would have got somewhere else. Its human tendency to complain, but I don't find any reason to complain. Special thanks to International Student Support Services.
Great athletic facilities.
Great place to study
All is closed.

Carleton University is an excellent place for students in the political field (as it is in the capital city). However, there are many helpful services for students in the first year and many convenient locations near the university. Moreover, many of the professors are interesting and seem to impart a great deal of knowledge to students (like myself). One thing I would keep in mind which I'm not sure google maps shows is that there is another way to get to Carleton apart from just bus, especially if you live near Bayview, Confederation, or South Keys. The O-Train conveniently goes right in front of the Carleton main campus and is comes around every 8-10 minutes. The way to get there is to take a bus that goes to any of those directions (Bayview, Greenboro, Confederation or Carling) and just hop on the train! It normally takes between 6-8 minutes for the train to get to Carleton from any of the stations.
Best University in the country...beautiful campus...!
I went to Carleton (studied IT)- they’re really modern in their programming, and they collaborate with community college to provide a better experience. I felt that they did care about the student experience.
I just love it here at Carleton! Everything about it: from my professors and fellow students to a remarkable teaching and learning experience; from the scenic campus environment and the weather-friendly tunnel to the numerous green areas you can hang out and relax during spring and summer days. The bus and train services in and out of the campus are really good and super convenient, some running past midnight. There's a lot more but I don't want to make this too long.
Carleton is a fitting extension of western Ottawa. You have to look to find social places, and there is a boat load of immigrants, which is great!.. It should be cracking in ten years when the transpo system is fully connected. Res/housing is ambiguously scattered around. As such there is a certain deadness in the air... not a healthy study companion. Do your research before coming here, much better alternatives out there. TA's are distant, large classes and some profs are ageing relics.
I prefer Indian student to choose u Ottawa instead of carleton
Stayed in residence for school trip. Great accommodations, excellent breakfast, quiet for sleeping after long days.
Carleton is recommend for people interested in Engineering, Journalism and Architecture. It is a very diverse school with students from all over the world. Excellent Arabic Community, Helped me-- this chinese guy learn Arabic! Shoorkan! Excellent place to learn languages as well. Felt like an extension of Dubai. Great school for Engineering!
Great scenery and lovely view of Dow's lake.
Hello guys, i am looking forward to pursue my electrical and computer engineering in Canada. Can anyone advise my any good universities? My email : michaelfist002@gmail.com
Amazing university! Great campus culture and very supportive faculty. Highly recommended to anyone considering attending or working here.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Beautiful campus all year round. Enjoyed my four years here.
I wouldn’t apply or attend here as long as it’s online. The quality of education I received this year was very alarming. When it was in person it was good though.
One the best in the capital region. Carleton campus is beautiful and large. In the winter, campus tunnel is very convenient for walking in the campus
Went here in the 00's - had a great experience. Lived on residence 1st and 2nd year. …
Its a business
What kind of university campus doesn't allow visitors to get onto the wifi?!?! I will never go to the school, ever. Ive never actually been so I can only speak to it as a guest and from what I've heard from others but with what I've heard I will never go there as a student.
Best
0/100 wouldn't recommend
Very accessible campus, with well lit and monitored underground tunnels between each building. Sprawling parking lots, busses, and light rail make it easy to get there. Be warned though, Carleton is quite far from downtown so the social life tends to stay on campus.
Love this school.
i love the school, but why there are only male profiles shown
Disappointed in how administration is handling the eviction of the Neuroscience department. Student concerns are not their priority at all
Professors are excellent, love the Journalism course. Beautiful campus, puts Ryerson/UofT to shame (I'm from Toronto). Residences are okay. Bus routes very convenient and the O-Train is super helpful, transportation is so easy. Philosophy department is very good too, and I've heard so many good things from friends in the engineering majors. Cafeteria is surprisingly good and the food court has plenty of options. Side note: after reading some of the negative reviews I see mostly people complaining about things that are universal with every university (ie. textbook costs, parking fees, lack of jobs for that field). While in some cases they are right, you won't find it any different at, say, University of BC.
The location , campus environment, and the tunnels are nice. The people at Carleton are welcoming ! But everything else really is horrible especially the administration at Carleton. They only care about the dollar.
????????
Excellent location.
Great school. Learned a lot about the real world, how to network, how to make friends, overall I had a great experience. It's like they say: "A pity you went to Harvard, when you could have been a Raven!"
One of the best universities in north America
Nice and clean
I didn't go to Carleton for school, but played recreational sports in their gym. It's a nice campus. Great location near the Rideau Canal. One plus for the university is that it's accessible by the city train.
Tunnels are love, tunnels are life. Good campus, good people.
Go check out the solar powered tiny homes being built close to the main building on campus. Very cool demonstration projects!
I didn't even go here yet I love it! The campus itself is gorgeous, the amenities, the art faculty was amazing! Great resources!
Great university!
The place is great. The people are kind, the campus is beautiful, the food is great and the profs really care. The only people that throw out negative reviews are either hateful, had one bad experience and blame the University for it or they go to Ottawa U (never understood this pointless rivalry) I love it, I had the choice of many Universities but chose Carleton because of how well people described it to me and I'm not disappointed one bit. If you're debating on either Ottawa U or Carleton attend a lecture of your planned Major, walk around each campus, take a tour and try it out.
Amazing teachers, amazing experience
Pursing my Masters in electrical and computer engineering. A very beautiful campus on both fall and winter. You can notice lots of activities going through out the semesters. Good commute systems and infrastructures. And I like my University.
I have had the unfortunate experience of meeting and sharing an entire election day (@a poll station)with a student of CARLETON. This student has the conduct and etiquette of a terrible child. The PC party should facilitate development of undergraduates political skills before allowing students to severely damage thier agenda. Treatment to the Public at an election is an essential component.
Can't say enough about ECOR 1010
10/10
Best school in Canada!
Great school.
Awesome place to be at. Good teaching and administration staff. Interconnected building tunnels. Gym. Great Library. Train and Bus availability.
Awesome experience. I would highly recommend.
Sports medical clinic. Just awesome team
Carleton University sets very high standards and they exceeded my expectations. I would have to say Bravo to Carleton University I will be applying there
Came here for my masters and it was a good place. Classes were small so gave you that chance to get to know the professors. Tunnel system is also great as you can stay inside during the cold cold winters. The academic writing centre was very very useful when writing my thesis. I would suggest this to improve your writing. The Paul Menton centre was also very accommodating for classes accommodations.
I am a student of this university since 2016. I receive great support through staff and departments here. However, I think some staff in my program could be more qualified, especially the contract instructors. Some were very rude and cold. Also the job positings aren't that good for my program and could be improved.
Excellent University!

Great large university that has the community feel of a smaller university. The tunnels are awesome for when it's cold or rainy. I actually switched from Ottawa U to Carleton and much prefer the overall vibe of the campus. The campus also …
Nice place to hangout with friends
Graduated in 2007 B.Eng from Department of Mechanical and Aerospace engineering. Found employment in my field almost immediately. Education and training was a match for employers. I find I was better prepared "practically" than graduates of higher ranked universities in Canada.
Capital City comprehensive University, home of the Institute for African Studies, unique in Canada, and international students from 120 countries, has 230 international MOUs with universities and research institutes across the globe. The university has particular strength in public and international affairs, social sciences, engineering, physics and computer science.
Only went here for a year, but I miss it all the time. Beautiful campus and there are groundhogs all around. My res room was ugly but did the trick. Caf was great and is even better now, and faculty was helpful! I wish they had more health science programs or I would go back right away.
Better than laurier
Pretty quiet during covid I must admit...
Pretty quiet during covid I must admit...
This place is a rip-off as it is full traps with big financial consequences. You may end up with a useless degree and a huge loan to repay. And those traps are everywhere. For example, in order to be successful, you don't necessarily need an Honours degree in every discipline as the University tells you. Some certificate courses are non-refundable but it is not mentioned on the website. Some profs may not tell you the name of the textbook for a course until the course starts so that you will end up buying it from the bookstore and overpaying at least $50. Their parking services fees are brutal, as well as their fines. Some profs don't speak very good English. I can go on for hours. Be careful and think critically, don't just accept everything the University tells you. There are no jobs for Psych graduates. Period. But their website & advisors will tell that there are plenty. In reality, none. Unless you want to go college, or take certificate courses, or go to grad school, you will unemployable with most degrees this University offers. Also, a good idea is to choose degrees that offer co-op options.
Viet Vo Dao University 1988
Cant even get wifi on campus.
Great engineering program! Very good professors, beautiful campus and overall amazing school
Probably the worst university in Canada. They don't deserve the reputation they have at all as there are a lot of programs not offered by the university. Also, one dirty move was that before all people paid the tuition, the courses were in …
Great campus and professors! Loved my time here
(Translated) I wish to study there (Original) اتمنى الدراسه فيها
Easy check in and good ice.
Hello, I've already applied for master degree in computer science program for winter. Since I'll take the exam on 2th November, my result will be prepared on 15th November. Is there any chance I can be accepted conditionally?
One of the best Canada's school, the campus is located alongside the river which makes it one of the best places to be at during the summer.
2nd year computer sceince, international student.. Very welcoming, if you put the effort to get involved with the faculty and clubs & associations.
Cool place next to Dow's Lake. Excellent scenery
It's a large comprehensive university in Canada's capital.
A great campus, well thought out with a wide array of programs.
welcome everyone i,m Mustafa from Iraq , i have a bachelor degree in Electrical Power Engineering and i want to complete the Master degree with microprocessor. Can i get admission from the university Regards
Love watching groundhogs there
I am a political science student and find the material taught to be fairly in-depth, the professors are passionate about what they teach for the most part, some more than others and I feel that the quality of education I am receiving is very good. The students are really great too and the fact that Carleton offers a fair amount of video on demand or online courses is really great if you don't happen to be a full-time student like me and need to have more flexibility with your class schedule.
Again, I go here to work. But it is a great place to get an education!
Again, I go here to work. But it is a great place to get an education!
comp sci hard
Beautiful campus... I want to admitte the University
best decision of my life
Best campus location
Great school!
graduate programs are designed to facilitate the development of methodological and critical skills required to pursue history at a high academic level. Our faculty offers excellent opportunities for supervising work in Canadian History, Ancient and Medieval history, Early Modern history, Modern Europe, the Atlantic world (especially Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America), South East Asia, and U.S. History. From organizing the annual Underhill Graduate Student Colloquium to hosting social events sponsored by the History Graduate Students’ Association, our students are involved in every facet of academic life.
Great school, and great programs but this message is directed to the admissions office at Carleton U. The encounter I had today with one of the admissions assistants by the name of “Nana Frimpong” was truly disturbing and ultimately has me on the fence with accepting my offer of admission from CU. The rep was extremely rude!! I had questions about my application, and deferring the acceptance offer, this led to a spew of hostility coming from said admissions assistant. CU please do better, ensure all staff is properly trained when it comes to phone etiquette!!
What kind of university campus doesn't allow visitors to get onto the wifi?!?! I will never go to the school, ever. Ive never actually been so I can only speak to it as a guest and from what I've heard from others but with what I've heard I will never go there as a student.
I love Rodney!!!
Do yourself a favor and go to another university. Too much stuff to explain everything wrong with it. Overall terrible university, especially for online and international students.
(Translated) It is in a very quiet place. (Original) とても静かな場所にあります。
I didn't expect to like this university as much as I did but after spending my first year there really came to love the place. It's small, easy to get around in, with great people and amazing admission/student services. I'm a science major and many of my profs are friendly, straight forward and take the time to help students with course materials. Can't wait to spend the next 3 years here (:
Excellent University with emphasis on cutting edge research and undergraduate students experience
Great international business programme.
The Ice House is an excellent facility. Dressing rooms are a good size, staff are courteous and helpful.
The Ice House is an excellent facility. Dressing rooms are a good size, staff are courteous and helpful.
The staff, teachers and facilities there are world class. The under-ground tunnels make it easy to travel from location to location, especially in the winter and when it's raining. I've never had a problem finding parking there and the buses are usually there on time.
MEH
Student experience is pretty average. Don't expect to produce change through attending Board meetings because they do not care about anything less than the bottom dollar.
Building the tunnels was the best idea ever.
Carlenton University is a school to be, am looking forward to studying a master program here, Thanks
Worst decision of my life, I hate this place, they dont care about you and your just a number to them, theyll do whatever they can to make money away from you so save yourselves now and dont go to this garbage school full of theives.
Easy to walk. Beautiful campus. Well connected by public transit.
Brilliant teachers, great programs, lots of stuff going on would recommend
The snow removal crew at Carleton is terrible this year! Great job on the budget cuts guys!!!
Love the layout
Excellent engineering program.
master university
Excellent facilities and activities. The Carleton Usy is a public comprehensive university. This University produced more than 140K alumni, reputed for its strength in a variety of fields such as humanities, international business, engineering, physics, entrepreneurship and computer science. After all it is people, not buildings, that make up an institution.
worst experience guaranteed
Bad Administration
as a current second year student, I'm very pleased with the community
Great campus, tunnels are amazing in the winter

My Alma!
Great school terrible staff and teachers well alot of them or I guess I was lucky with dealing with incompetent staff
I enjoyed my visit to the scenic campus.
I go here for Aerospace Engineering and literally the only complaint I have is that it's always too damn hot inside the library to the point where I don't even go there. Awesome library, but for some reason the heat is cranked to like 30°C. Who's in charge of the thermostat like damn. Freakin great school tho; wicked campus, great city, beautiful architecture, perfect location, terrific professors, many interesting and useful places on campus, overall pleasant vibes. The student life is a good balance of fun and partying, and hard work and focus. Highly recommend
good university
I want to start off by saying that the school itself is great, the people are alright and the community is there. Since my program is fairly new there are going to be some downsides to it, but in my first year in learning programming, our teacher taught us material that would be of 3rd-4th year students, those of us who have no experience in coding struggled. This got incredibly worse going into the next year as it got more difficult in the material. Teachers were chosen at last minutes and some of those don't even want to teach. They just hand you ppt's and read off paper and call it a day. It's even worse now due to COVID shifting to online. Currently taking 3 classes, in which 1 has weekly classes, 1 has ready videos (which are great!), and the other has no classes just documents. The 3rd class is utterly useless to me. I have learned nothing and continue to learn nothing. There is no effort by the prof in terms of engaging the class, just read a ppt and do activities every week. Sometimes I even forget the class exists. Otherwise, other classes have been great, I took Law for 2 years and the professors + TA's were amazing & extremely supportive.
Best campus in Ottawa. The Admin staff is very helpful.
I was a master's student, teaching assistant and one time contract instructor here: 2014-16. The facilities are very good, the location along the Rideau Canal is nice. I found my master's program to be rigorous. There were lots of conduct issues among students that never get addressed; even when the behaviour is beyond the pale. Faculty are too busy with their research to put much effort into their undergraduate courses. As a TA, I found professors would dump almost all their duties on me, including teaching duties that I was under-qualified for. When I applied to PhD programs, I found it difficult to get recommendations from faculty; one professor even gave me a bad reference.
Great place to study located in Ottawa. Away from the downtown fuzz.
Would be better with pool tables
Awesome! Nothing to complain, great professors, nice campus, nice staff.
Awesome newly upgraded library, tunnels connecting every building, delicious residence cafeteria and hardworking, involved students. The university is continuously growing and the Sprott School of Business is very strong.
One of the worst Universities in Canada! They only consider money from students instead education and service! They never reply emails and when you go talk to them in person, they do not answer you properly! Graduate school gives misleading information to students. I had the really bad experience with this school. I am not able to give 0 star, I am giving 1 star.
愿我的梦想在这里放飞 Wish my dream come true and every brand new thing starts from here , I am a new Engineering student for the coming fall semester, Edited three years later: Very satisfied so far.
Filthy place like no one cleans. Upset stomache from tim hortons there...disgusting
Loved it!
Caution. I found out the hard way that Carleton's Biology B.Sc. degree program is not recognized in British Columbia and does not necessarily meet the CAB's registered professional biologist requirements that is necessary for working in B.C.
Execellent Campus. Excellent facilities, Excellent staff and teachers.
Awesome
The staff and doctor were so pleasant and the service was excellent.
(Translated) When I find my girlfriend, I change to five stars. (Original) 等我找到女朋友就改到五星
Library has poor hours of availability. (doesn't open until 8am) even when there are 50-60 people waiting in the lobby and the staff in the library just stare at you until EXACTLY 8 am. This is not the military. There are only two printers per floor and one is usually broken. Staplers and hole punches are hard to find. The bathrooms are always disgusting. Garbage is always overflowing. There is no respect from people while working in the library. Many times the computers are fully taken. The silent floor isn't enforced. People smoke right at the exit doors and nobody says anything to them. Cigarette butts are everywhere. You can't get a locker at the gym. If you send an email up the chain of command nobody ever gets back to you.
Love, love, love this school. Teachers are great, people are great, there is a club for every interest, sport, and common hobby, and really gives you the university experience you yearn for.
Good education and facilities... HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SYSTEM AND REGISTRATION REGULATIONS... In order to contact staff related to a course or an issue related to your request , you need to spend countless times and hours chasing and trying to figure out who to speak to ... an issue that seems to be very common with the students. Having to figure out if a course is accept through another Institute is a gamble. The school won't tell you , and your coordinator won't know... the only reason I attended is because the communications engineering program wasn't available at any other university nearby ... Student complaints regarding an instructor ( over 89% of the students and at the beginning of the terms) means nothing...Having to pay for a mandatory Upass because you are full time even though you have a parking permit and do not require a yearlong buss pass is ridiculous since you're not allowed to opt out unless you have a permanent disability... Engineering registrations , complaints and schedules are a horror. Academically and course material wise it's really good , but the rest will ruin your learning experience.
this place is the best university sign your kids up now
There are plenty of programs offered here and the environment is very positive.. ..
Coming from a grad of a 'different university ', it's a beautiful institution! Our son is learning a lot after one year and can't wait to continue his engineering studies.

Among Canadian Universities, Carleton has one of the best engineering schools, the best school of public affairs, the best school of Journalism, and arguably one of the best cognitive science programs. Additionally, their philosophy department is excellent, and IMO, underrated.
I love Carleton boo Ottawa u
They need far more housing at this university. The residence is fine for first year students, but the food is simply awful, and the administration couldn't care less about housing options after the first year. Sad really. With so many other universities adding good quality housing, this single truth is going to bite Carleton university in the rear. I wish them well, but they need to wake up!
My friends and I took a socially distanced trek through the university campus late on New Year's Eve. Everything was clean and tidy, with a light covering of snow hiding any disorder. No one was around. It seems that the student residences are all empty.
Beautiful campus, people are nice and I'd probably say university rankings dont do it justice. Overall a great university, if you're considering coming here, do it, you won't regret it.

A very good Physics program. I highly recommend it. Thank you Carleton University for some of the best years of my life. ;)
