I am currently 6 months into the Full-time Program. Difficult to put in words how incredible this program has been. Be prepared to work hard. It's intensive. It's challenging. It's life changing. Joe McCoy (Artistic Director) has successfully created a well-rounded process that will drastically enhance you not only as an actor, but also as a human. Trust his process. It works. You can be assured that the team of instructors are masters of their craft. They are inspirational, effective teachers, and genuinely care about our futures in this business. In these last months I have had some of the greatest days of my entire life and also some of the toughest. This program has blessed me with a new perspective on life, an intricate understanding of the acting craft, a group of friends who are now family, and confidence to begin my career. If you are considering this program, I will pass on something one of my most inspiring instructors told me... "Leap, and a net will appear." - Ian Ferguson.

Throughout the duration of the year I have forged loving bonds with passionate and beautiful artists that I now call family, and mentor; that I can call on anytime in the future for support in my career. A triumph: I have become more connected to myself, and others, than ever before during the full-time class. The course has challenged me to express with authenticity, in my own way; encountering several walls, as is the path, and I was, and continue to be supported by Joe McCoy, and the stunningly talented faculty to overcome all of them; to strive and trust that I can do this, and do it very well. Fair warning: there isn't a lot of sugar-coating for insecurities, but if you come prepared to surrender yourself to the journey, and add a dash bravery - you can, and will achieve personal milestones as an artist in your medium. I feel very fortunate to be a part of Vadarts. The program offers actors a unique chance to hone their craft intuitively and with the guidance of exceptional teachers. The program has helped me grow in so many ways beyond any expectation. I feel lucky to have come across this gem of a school. Go for it !

It is incredible how much I have learnt and experienced since my first day of attending this outstanding school. Not only the art of acting but about myself as a human being as well. Being from out of province, it was the most rewarding challenge that I have ever done. I can relate to anyone who is thinking about moving away from everything they know, family, friends, their life, and diving into something so unknown just the thought is terrifying but I'm here to say it has been the best decision of my whole life. The people I have met and the instructors I have had a chance to work with are so supportive and truly care deeply about what they do and about you not only as an actor but as a person as well. I've attended part time evening acting classes for about 1 year now (since Mar/2016) and must say the experience has been a great one! The instructors at this Academy are very friendly and professional people, so much so that I plan on studying another year with them. I am currently working on my third paid acting project with a forth coming soon. So if you're curious about acting than the Victoria Academy of Dramatic Arts is a fine place to start.
