Bullying by older students and staff was the norm. Teachers seemed more interested in impressing pretty female students than fostering a learning environment. Any student who is even a little different is ostracized and terrorized. Different standards were applied to different students, depending on who their parents were or how good they were at sports. Everything that I have accomplished is in spite of, not because of, Shawnigan. I will never send my daughter there.

Truly the most amazing environment for kids to embrace education and sport activities. Excellent hockey, rugby, rowing and soccer programs. Teachers and house directors are amazing. Kids are all so well mannered and environment encourages excellence all round. Admissions director is amazing Gaynor surely makes the difference in getting welcomed and introduced to Shawnigan. Thanks for all the team do to encourage these young people to excel in life.

Can't list all the ways Shawnigan is an amazing school and how much I gained from attending. But I will say that as a scholarship student who came from a very different upbringing than the majority of students there, not once through my 5 years did I ever feel 'less than' any of the other students. Shawnigan does a very good job of bringing kids together on the same level so we can all learn and grow together. Whether you are from a lower-class family or a wealthy background, students gain so much from living at school where these distinctions are removed.

Went to the school for a shadow day .Unfortunatley we didn't choose this school for our athletic child. It is a beautiful place with high regard for academics. Very confused why Charles Purdy rink has such a horrible camera system for such a beautiful place and arena.it doesn't make sense at all
