I love this college. I started thinking I was going to go for dental hygiene. Realized I didnt want to be just sitting all day. Then switched to nursing, which was way too intense. Then entered into massage therapy, which is the best place I could be. I am so thankful for the instructors; they really want to make sure each and every student succeeds.

Allegany College of Maryland is a wonderful place to pursue a higher education. The staffs are knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. The lecturers are always willing to help students overcome their difficulties. Moreover, there are variety of resources that can help students academically and financially. I have had nothing but the best experiences as a student there!

I obtained my Associates in 2010 and had a great experience. HOWEVER- now that I'm trying to further my degree I need my transcripts sent and it is damn near impossible to get them! I live 2 hours away- the only way to get an unofficial transcript is by driving all the way up there. Everyone I have dealt with on this matter has been less than helpful- unwilling to work with me, I've been hung up on during conversations and cut off while trying to explain my situation. I'm not one to leave negative feedback, especially since I had such a great experience while attending, but this is just unreasonable! Beyond disappointed with this college.

Teachers and most staff are extremely helpful. Unfortunately a lot of the admin offices are not. I had to go and get a previous senator to send letters to this colleges Fin Aid department after months of them giving my wife and I the run around. I wouldn't return.

Here me out. Okay so I go here for school, and let me tell you. It’s real good. Like I learn things. And the people are oh so nice. There is a 1 mile track which is super nice. Howeverrrr there is not a disc golf course… I wish there was????

One of the best parts of this college is that it has buildings that are often leak proof. Additionally, there is a paved area where you can bring an automobile and park it. No more horse and buggies. Seriously, this college is very friendly and the administration and staff are amazing. You can get a high quality education for a very reasonable price. It would be wise to utilize this college to gain transfer and save you thousands of dollars.

My college journey at Allegany College of Maryland has been a wonderful experience. The staff and teachers have been extremely helpful and welcoming from Day 1. I would highly recommend this college to any student looking for a well-rounded education!

The financial office is very unhelpful and doesn't reach out to students. Getting answers is like pulling teeth.

Our experience with our freshman student from out of town has been horrible. The financial aid office is short and rude. We had to call several times before getting someone on the phone that could provide us with the correct information regarding her financial aid. The housing department sent us notification 3 days before we were to take our daughter to school that she wasn't qualified for on campus housing because she was 17 and would not be 18 before 9/15/2014, mind you her birthday is 9/19. Never heard of that before and I have put 2 other children through school. 3 DAYS BEFORE! We also put down a housing deposit visited the school and walked to all the departments required for ensure a smooth transition and were told that we were set. To then have to fight for her to be successful her freshman year. So here we were with a freshman college student, no housing, out of town and it's to late to go to the other schools we considered but didn't respond to after she was accepted. HORRIBLE

I love the college they have great staff and always try to help out in anyway possible. As for the gym the basketball coach, he’s rude. He plays the same staring players and doesn’t give others a chance. When students want to exercise in the gym and shoot around when it’s open, he tells them to leave because he wants his players to practice. They could have an away game and he will still tell everyone to leave out of the gym for no reason. He cares more about his team then others. I hope things change.

I have visited so many colleges. This is one of the very few I would consider attending (and I currently am). I chose this school because the professors and staff actually help the students. The campus is smaller, but in no means lacking. I always feel so welcomed here. This college really is what you make of it, you can have the full college experience if you want tom
