This school is a great place to attend. I am in the marketing and sales program here and could not ask for better. All my instructors do everything they can to make sure we all succeed. We do client work so we graduate with work experience, and we always have the help we need

I had a very bad experience with this institution. I was looking for information about the IT courses, however I was told that just to have my questions answered I should go to the website and apply and pay a 50CAD fee. (Just to have the info I needed such as Tuition and Fees) I tought it was not usual however I decided to pay for it. Therefore I never get any answer from them. They just vanished. Never booked to answer my questions or contacted me to enroll for any of the courses even though I had sent the proof of payment the receipt of payment. I tried to get in touch with them many times but they didnt book it then I requested a refund then they finally answered me that the 50Cad fee is not refundable and they couldnt do anything for me.

I talked to Marianne Martin, she is part of my process for me to become a foreign student at Oulton. A great example of kindness and friendliness. I had a nice interview made by her and Marianne made me feel calm, comfortable and helped me a lot. Very friendly, I loved her! ????

I am in the Practical Nursing program and I absolutely love the program, the instructors are wonderful and helpful and want us all to be successful. I can't wait to start my career in the Nursing field!!

Great environment and awesome instructors.

Currently am attending the Practical Nursing program at Oulton College. Not too much about this school has thrilled me since I started in September 2015. 1. This school is nothing but a money grab, 10,000$ more for this program than NBCC, for what? So discouraging. SAVE YOUR MONEY! 2. This school does nothing fun and entertaining for their students. No sports teams, no extra curricular activities, NOTHING I have nothing against the Practical Nursing program, great teachers who are all extremely knowledgeable and helpful! As for the school itself, would never recommend to anyone. I hope this makes your decisions easier!

My review got deleted for some reason. I would give this school 0 stars if I could. This school is 3 times the price of NBCC and they do not have any sports and barely any other activities after school. Their job placement program gets worse and worse, and their mental health program is a lousy few hours phone call. Once they get your money they dont care seem to care about you. Some teachers are as incompetent as can be. The student government is inefficient and was a waste of my time. I was also told all year that me missing school for authorized reasons would not count against my missed time for the Presidents Honors List... I missed 42.5 hours out of 40 hours, and did not miss any time since the last time my instructor told me I was on pace for the Presidents Honors List as my average in Paralegal / Legal Assistant class was 94%... No explanation as to why they went against their word. I had another review which would have been more detailed but someone is censoring me from speaking so I shall rest my case here. I am curious as to why many other reviews are missing and the rating for Oulton College went from 2.5 stars to 4?

my experience so far at oulton college has been amazing. The teachers are understanding and willing to help no matter what. And with online learning, it’s new to us all but they make it easier & fun! When I was first looking to apply to a program, I went back and fourth with different ideas. My admissions advisor helped through it step by step. She really made the experience better!

My personal 3 favorite things of the Policing and Corrections course are as follows: The Teachers. (There knowledge is invaluable they are very well prepared and knowledgeable in their respected positions.) The physical training. (I've pushed myself farther than I thought possible when running. It feels amazing. Each day I am getting stronger.) The subject matter. (I have always been interested in Policing and Law enforcement, this course is ticking all the boxes.) All and all my experience so far has been excellent.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Oulton College! The Admissions Department were so amazing with answering all of my questions prior to starting my Medical Office Administration program in September. All of my instructors are such wonderful people and I'm very grateful for this new and exciting experience! I highly recommend anyone wanting to attend College to enroll at Oulton's. It's a respectful and comfortable environment for all students ☺️

I had a great experience at Oulton college! I studied in Business Management and Entrepreneurship and it was by far the best experience I’ve had in post secondary education. The staff is very well experienced in their fields and are always there to help with any issues or concerns that you may have!

Former student of Oulton college I personally wouldn’t NOT recommend this school to any students looking to go to post secondary education. I took the marketing and sales program last year and learned absolutely nothing that would have prepared me for a job in marketing what so ever. Nor did they help me find a job placement after graduation, which they are suppose to have people in career services to help with job placements. I found a job on my own, months after I graduated in sales. Due to the fact I was not taught the proper knowledge to do a marketing job. I do not feel comfortable enough even applying to a job in marketing because of how little i was taught in that field. Which Is the career I wanted to pursue but unfortunately I am not equipped with the proper knowledge to do that job. My parents spent over 15,000 dollars of their hard saved money on an education that I did not benefit from in the slightest. While instead, I could have easily went to a different college paid the same amount or less and gotten a better education. I feel lied to and manipulated by Oulton for making me believe I would have a good education and be prepared for a job in the field I studied in, but that was not the case. I do not wish anyone to waste their money and feel as I do which is why I am writing this review. In my opinion Oulton’s staff does the best to its abilities but unfortunately they are not given the proper material and or teaching methods to properly educate students. And Oulton if you read this do not bother to message me unless you plan on giving me back my 15,000 dollars back so I can go get a proper education else where.

They care more about the money out of your pocket than they do about the students themselves. There’s no resources for students (other than a life coach hotline which is useless). If they actually cared about the students they would take the money that we spend to get into this place and put it towards things that will benefit the students and improve student life. The coffee is also terrible, not that that really matters, but it’d be nice if they had something in that institution that’s actually worth the money. There’s a very angry French woman who works at the front desk too. Overall, they don’t have a good experience to offer. No student support, bad coffee, and cranky people.

Former staff member. Very high staff turnover because management (especially CFO) do not treat staff well. Money grab. All about registrations than best fit for student. CFO goes to Florida every month. Then returns and yells/bullies/picks on staff in Admissions for registrations. I could go on and on about this but I won't. Equally as good programs for much cheaper at publically funded colleges except for programs not offered locally e.g. Dental Hygiene, Optician but they are very costly. I will say that most of the instructors are stellar and give 100% to students. They are there for the love of teaching and they do very much go above and beyond for students. HR is a joke. As well, employee health and drug benefits are very costly and no retirement co-pay. They claim they have a high job placement rate but I had students and heard from graduates who did not receive employment after graduation even though there is supposed to be Career Services to help them. Job placement rate is not accurate. The main campus and Dental Campus is nice however, they have too much going on for programs and the students are the ones suffering due to lack of space and resources. The business and admin programs are located off the main campus and in a sketchy looking building. If you are looking to attend or work at Oulton College, I strongly suggest you do your research. I 'lasted' 1.5 years there which is longer than the majority of non-instructional staff.

My time at Oulton College has truly transformed my life. You really connect with your fellow students and even more important, your instructors take great care of you and your individual needs. Of course I learned a lot about my field of study (Business Management) but the greatest things I learned about myself. It all started with the conversations I had with my admissions advisor. She was caring and listened to my interests, looked at my academics and suggested a different path for me. At first it seemed strange to go into business for me but the more I gave it thought, it seemed appealing to me. The path she set me on lead me on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. I met some of the most important people in my life along the way. Lastly a little food for thought: If you are still not sure what you want to do but you want to get a diploma under your belt, every business needs managers that have the ability to lead their team/company to success. So without having to force yourself down a path you are not sure of, you can keep your options open yet advance your education. And who knows, maybe you will find your direction along the way.

Remember that this is a business who's first goal is to make money, not provide a quality education. I got my degree here and I've always wished I had gone the public route and received better training at a lower cost. They are not the worst, and some great people work here and teach here, but turning a profit will always be their first priority.

During my ECE program , I loved my instructors. They were very good at teaching the material and very understanding when a student needed help. However, one of the reasons I chose Oultons (more expensive) over NBCC, was because we were signed up for and paid for sign language level 1 & 2. After completing level 1, we were told that we were not getting level 2 because they wanted to give level 1 to another program, this was discouraging because sign language was one of the reasons I chose Oulton College and I didn’t even learn it. Our instructor lied to us and said that level 2 was the same as 1 but our sign language teacher told us that it was very different and level 2 would be where we learned to communicate in sentences and have flow. I now cannot communicate in sign language and got no money back. Due to Covid we weren’t able to get CPR & ASK, so our whole class had to go spend our own money to get CPR as it is a requirement, this was inconvenient because I had already paid for the training and had to pay out of my own pocket again to get it, as it took 4 months after graduation for us to get reimbursed. Everyone in our class inquired about the refund on multiple occasions and got ignored. Even now, 5 months after graduation, I have classmates who have not received their refund. Another discouraging event was graduating without an OJT. Our replacement was online videos that didn’t teach us how to work in the field and I am now in the field with no clue what I’m doing. I understand that due to covid we could not do an in person OJT but I feel that there was better ways they could have taught us how to run a classroom. I’ve also learned that Oultons is not reputable to many employment opportunities and they fail to inform you of that fact. I am limited to the places I can move to if I want to use my diploma. Since I’ve been in the field, I’ve figured out that Oultons has a terrible reputation and employers are well aware of that and take that into consideration when hiring Educators. They graduate people who should not graduate to keep up their reputation of “success”. Overall, I would not recommend Oultons over a cheaper option as it is just not worth it.

In light of the covid pandemic issues we are all facing, Oulton College is keeping everyone in mind with their decision making. I am currently in the Business Management and Entrepreneurship program. For me the secure environment they are providing within the school and the resource system in place for our continued education is more than satisfactory. Thank you Oulton College and Faculty!

It's not the number of breaths we take, but the number of moments that take our breath away. This school certainly took my breath away.

”I had the most amazing experience. Heather is a wonderful teacher and patient. She always checks to make sure everyone is understanding what she's teaching and had no issue stopping and helping you understand a method. Heather would continue to show examples of methods until you understood. She was always upbeat an brought humor into the classroom. Heather is a true gem in her position.”

From the first interview to the day of graduation, the staff displayed a high standard of professionalism, compassion and flexibility. As a "very mature" student returning to school, the degree of understanding and respect was extraordinary. When I think of my instructors, the words "setting up for success" and "above and beyond" come to mind. I can't thank them enough for their dedication to providing a topnotch education to their students.

My experience at Oulton College was amazing. They know how to help you reach your goals! Everything from Student Services to Career Services the support here is endless. Other institutions focus too much on the book work but Oulton really does a great job combing both theory and hands on to ensure you will be successful ! The instructors have worked in the industry for many years and it really shows, and having their real world experience helped me thrive in my career.

Not recognised by most universities while being over the top expensive. You won't be able to transfer to Fredericton campus UNB for continued learning down the road. They promise the moon while delivering much less.

Jenna McCarty

Don’t bother going here unless you have $30,000 to waste on chaos, disorganization, and asking questions only to be ignored. You get told to “figure it out” here more than you get actual help. And let’s not forget that I had to email someone in management not once but TWICE to have the washrooms cleaned after not being touched for at least 3 months! A huge joke

If I could give 0 stars I would. Toxic, toxic environment. Teachers gossip about other students and other teachers in front of students. Poorly trained staff who aren’t trained to teach and are on power trips. Teachers get offended when you ask questions and take things very personally and will hold grudges just to make life difficult for certain students. Extremely expensive. Teachers treat students like they aren’t paying for education but rather a huge inconvenience. If you care about your education go somewhere else.

i truly suggest you do not waste your money here, they are very good at making it look like an amazing school to go to and its not. all they are is many hungry . and if your not extremely perfect they will pull you into meetings all the time to try to convince you to leave - for me because of a chronic illness, and it won't matter if you have dr notes saying your healthy now and in remission , even so even if i wasn't in remission they should be more accommodating to people living with a chronic illness. so because i have chronic illness i can never have a career? last june i was suppose to graduate with my friends together but i was called into another meeting and they said go home relax and work on getting healthier snd can com back next year to finish .i was devastated and didnt want to but i was sick , i knew i could pull though it fine .they made up lies and were very dispresectl. they don't care abut the students r ever take the stunt word. al instructor ill coe totters nd pour lies to make me kicked out. go look at luton reviews on google nd you ill se some pretty bad comments . i begged and pleaded for them to let me finish the last 5 months of work and I've put so much money into and after getting into remission and coming back healthy they couldn't use the yore so they had to make something; i had told them previously i have this chronic illness. i obviously am fighting to get back in because there i no where else in nb that has a dental hygiene . i left 5 months before graduating to focus on my health and to get into remission, which i did. so coming back now to finish i warned them i might get sleepy because i was taking too strong of a dose. but had a dr. appt. coming up. i was only in class for three days the year and thy pull me side and i got kicked out of being sleepy in class ben after i told them why it was. i was told not to come back to school without the dr notes so i got them and then they still wouldn't let me back. they completely discriminate against people who aren't perfect in . if i knew all the stuff i do now, i would never of attended at all, and a lot of people feel the same. I've group chatted with numerous students who they felt were treated horrible n jut wanted to graduate and leave before anyone goes any further and end up in huge financial debt. at this point.I wouldn't recommend the school to anyone ! i a still need to be able to go back so i can gt my degree . its the only place that offers my program around here so i don have a choice . but for all you that do pease read all the reviews before applying

If you are considering going to school there; be mindful that when if comes to work placement that they can send you out of province even if you can't afford it, and if you are a parent they have no issue sending you places where you will be away from your child. It does not bother them to do so. When you bring it to their attention they just shrug and will not work with you to find a solution. They also allow people to change where they want to go last minute so that a person who should have the spot does not anymore.

I wouldn’t suggest anyone go to this school. Most of the instructors I had were on point, with a couple exceptions (lying, would rather gossip with students than help, etc), but the administration side is nothing short of a greedy money grab. They lie to you, manipulate you and one of the people they make you meet with before enrolling is creepy and gets too personal within the first 3 minutes of meeting. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!!!

Marianne is being exceptional in answering all the questions about tuitions and fees. She loves what she is doing that's for sure.

Oulton college has been nothing but phenomenal! All the teachers are amazing and very knowledgeable, unfortunately we had to switch to virtual classes a few months before graduation due to COVID, however, they quickly stepped up and figured out how to do so so that we could graduate. Thank you Oulton team and teachers, you guys are amazing and I think anyone who wants to go to college should consider Oultons.
