I love this college, Hospitality Management program is well organized, the facilities are clean and it has a lot spaces to share with friends. Library, cafeteria, bistro, bakery. It is kind of expensive for an international student. Nowadays the college is empty and it is allowed to get in just a few students and staff members.

Worst place to be. I spent money, time, life and had the worst experience ever. I had 4 universities behind, and thought Culinary Arts would be a turning point in my life. It should be a place to learn and have a great experience, although as a doctor I found out the worst pace to be with mice in kitchen and cockroaches. The hygiene was lacking and shocked me more than once. I got sick and no one cared about. I still waiting on their response about my case and my illness. I do not recommend to anyone.

One of my friend applied in vcc for a post graduate diploma , firstly she applied in September intake 2021 but she had a deadline which was a short time so she take a deferral to jan intake 2022 but this she also faces problem with same problem which is a short time deadline of visa submission of study permit to the college. She is loyal and hardworking student . So i request to the college authorities please look into this matter and help a student to achieve his dream by providing her some extra time to submit her study permit approval. Thanks in advance...

Overall school policy and way of handling things are very unprofessional and unorganized. My frustration is maximizing when I talk to school departments and I feel stupid for the money I wasted here. VCC's reputation as a practical education college fell to a simple business to make money along with Covid If there are students who want to enter this college, I recommend that you think again.

I was privileged enough to get Chef Phillip Lie for my PC2 & PC3. He is the reason I came back to return for my Red Seal. The legacy he has is impeccable. Not only is he knowledgeable, he's patient and so supportive. VCC and any student who gets him is lucky. He doesn't give up, not on himself and definitely not on his students. He is what every teacher should be. I was also extremely lucky to have an IA this year. Julia not only does her job, but she also goes above and beyond. She has been nothing but helpful and her cheerfulness and kindness is radiant, which really helped keep us going. Both Chef Lie and Julia hardwork, bubbly personality and positive attitude are the reason why I would recommend anyone to coming to VCC for the Culinary Art program.

I had a pedicure at the VCC spa this week and it was an excellent experience. The spa is lovely and the treatment was exceptional and a very reasonable cost. I would highly recommend that you try this out. I am going to try out their hairstylists next.

Terrible experience. Hard earned $money ,horribly spent here at VCC. Waste of time and $. Very unprofessional. $1600 out of my front pocket for BSW course. I never had any literature of the course sent to me, I had to print it all off on my own at my cost ,everything on zoom or YouTube ????Not to mention, I was the only student left out of the practicum at last minute and was told if I could, find my own practicum!! I demanded,now that they found me a practicum, I'm stuck with a bunch of bigots, set up to fail. Very jealous and insecure people. They're getting 2 weeks of free work from me and they just can't handle the white guy being around????☹ Welcome to the city of Vancouver???????????? By the way I don't want your job! I just want what I paid for!

Schooling is ok, nothing special. My beef is with the course registration. It is extremely difficult to register, don't even attempt on a mobile device. Very confusing using their website and even when I contact support they have a hard time helping my situation, seems they don't really care. It really should just be pick your course, term, register, pay tuition, done. But no, they have to make it a maze to go through. A very simple thing they clearly over complicated.

Very incompetent admission system and idiot staff. I am enrolled for August 2020 and requested to be changed to October and received another invoice for both August and October 2020 for double tuition and they refuse to correct it.

The Worst horrible admission service ever!!!! They never get calls and never reply to my numerous emails!! They try to rip students off in many ways, but they wouldn’t give the service we deserve to get! The people working in the office in VCC are literally full of the lazy, incompetent and entitled people EVER!!!! C’mon, office people in VCC who get paid lots of money and lots of vacation due to students, please DO WORK HARD for them!!!!!

Super unkind student service even though they are there to help students and their lack of explanations for the inquiry and unhelpful attitudes made me turn back. I suggest don’t bother trying to be nice to them because what you get is a rude answer.

Out of experience as a student. I Had a very terrible experience at this school, I tried to get help but did not get any. I was told by the instructor in the hair program .( sherry doak) That IT WAS NOT BECAUSE I WAS NOT WORKING HARD ENOUGH, THAT IS JUST I WAS NOT MEANT TO BE A HAIRSTYLIST. Never would I recommend this school for anyone.

I always come here for some baked goods and I love the quality of their cookies, bread, lunches. Great prices as well. I tried the services such as massage, haircutting, and dyeing, manicure -pedicure. Well, if you except nothing or just want to experiment- that’s fine. Otherwise, save your money and time, choose professionals, or just don’t blame students, they’re learning and trying their best (except for those who are lazy).

I hope people will read this review and stop enrolling to this school especially for international student or at least the university read this up so they can improve their service. If you enroll to culinary arts program, they forced you to buy the uniform and tools which cost $$$ but I found it online for only $. Clearly a scam, they obviously bought a bulk for cheaper price but sold it for 5 times the price and did not give any option for us to decline. They don't even bother to took the tag off, if you look the tag online it only cost 5$ and vcc sold it for 50$ ????. Everytime you try to reach the office, don't even bother. They never replied to your email, phone always goes to voicemail and the only time you can get ahold with someone is when you haven't paid your tuition. Ridiculous. They raised the tuition even though we are in the middle of pandemic, did not even lower the tuition since we now only do online classes for culinary arts and do one class a week. Like who does cooking online school. I saved a lot more money by watching youtube cooking show. Once you finish your final exam, they need 2 months to give you letter of completion. It legit took them 2 months to just type a letter to say that you graduate from the program. Amazing. I attended douglas and UBC and it only took them a week or two the latest after the final exam grade has been published. They cannot give me an answer on why all the other university/college took much less time rather than them and the only answer according to them is that the auditing process is complex. I am so tired and sick of communicating with them, the office is always closed (they say due to pandemic but apparently all the other school in vancouver are already open especially the office), international student office are never available except for accepting new students, they are not helpful and supporting current international students, always asking for money which clearly does not giving back in return. Oh and also one of my friend got scammed, an international student and was promised by the counsellor that she is going to be studying nail extension and eyelash but once she got enrolled into the program, it was not the case and now she hates her program (she apparently enrolled by them into a spa/hair salon for one year and did only the eyelash for one month) and vcc won't give her back her money. Will not recommend people to enroll in this school.

The foundation class for heavy mechanical trades at Annacis island was a joke. I wish I hadn’t spent my hard earned cash here. I wish I had known before hand. They had a teacher for us who had no idea what a joke. My class had the worst instructors and when we told the department head Rick Cyr didn’t even bother looking into our concern and seemed arrogant. I am not spending any of my hard earned dollars at VCC ever again.

Teaching staff are nice, online learning do not recommend. Paying to read a text book. Make sure you are aware of the refund be policy. It is the worsed i have experienced from any academic institution. Website both public and private has conflicting information. So if you enroll ask for crystal clear clarification on everything and everything from a person. And hope you don't make a mistake for you will pay for it. Two stars for teachers are nice and care. Update. Rating went from 2 to 1 star. Reason: Still online when they said they would be in class in September. Ok. Tried one more class since they would not refund my money and used their "credit". Just got a email saying 2021 semester in Jan will also be online . My advice Just read the text book and do everything yourself. For that's pretty much what you do and pay money for here. Did not get any recourses I did not have available to myself.

This a nice college but like wastage of time for some students those who goes from Abbotsford to Vancouver daily at 6 AM. Just because they have class at 8 and after they have their next class at 4 like 6 hours break. Kind of wastage of time. So i want to say that they can change their class timings so by which students go on time to their home. Thank you

Some of the classes are waste of time due to the instructors are too lazy. And VCC steal money without providing service for your deposits. It's the the worst experience in my school life. Horrible.

Terrible experience at the admission makes me think that it is not the best place to go. Lots of other bad reviews only confirm that. I lost 3 weeks waiting for the interview with the admission, and then when time come they hold me for over an hour in Zoom just hang up after. Total waste of my time. Stay away from this place, based on the other reviews the problems will not end after admission.

Hi I was student of vcc I don't recommend never and ever. I paid 10000$ for this college I want to change my major in dental hygiene they told me I have to filled out withdraw form to continue the new major. Who are going to pay 10000$ and withdraw with no class. And they told me we don't have any class for dental hygein until the next year. We don't give you money back they offer me for filling out the appeal form and they reject it. They are not responsible and very rude only they want to keep the money and I k on this is not the first time. I complain to ircc and send them to the court they destroy my life because I am international student.

I encountered the same issue. The college does not support at all. If the other colleges can give support letter even if it requires high speed internet, how can this college not help? I guess international students will stop taking admission.

Came here for a day long workshop. The place is quite large - many rooms and active courses even on the weekends. The place is a bit dated but it’s clean for the number of students that have been at this facility over the years and decades. The views are amazing. The rooms upstairs are night (business management area). I can’t comment on the teaching or teachers. However, I’d recommend to host a class here. The bus stops right in front. Waterfront is not far.
