Nice place if you’re not an outgoing person or if enjoy to focus on your studies. Beautiful campus, but not enough study places. For example the library closes at 11 pm (on weekdays), as a night owl that is when I start studying at times. To this the dining hall is closed off to people that are not on the meal plan and cost around 20 or so bucks to get in otherwise. There is a new (great) study area but it is only for engineers and planners, which is a shame. Great profs and with more freedom (and better pay) they would be even more awesome. The only down side is not enough outdoor projects... which is interesting because we are surrounded by an amazing forest. If you don’t have to go to residence, don’t. I’ve had so many problems with them and they do not seem to care for their students (my experience, might be different for others). But res is close by and I still am in it, due to confinience. The dining hall made a bunch of people sick last semester and it is increadibly hard to get out of it when you are on residence. But I somewhat enjoy my studying here. It has a couple of skiing hills close by and downtown has nice restaurants. Dont know if I would do it all again, because it is super stressful (the uni life) and I miss the ocean.

UNBC is a beautiful campus! It's amazing to be surrounded by so much greenery. I like how straight forward the layout is. The pieces of art showcased on campus is proof of how unique the campus is.

This is a great university because of those patient faculty and stuff. They are here to help every student to success. In School of Environmental Planning Program, I got involved with lots of social activities and associations because of the university. It is a wonderful learning journey here at UNBC!

I love this university from my whole heart. Finished my ESL course before the 1st year of Social Work program. Enjoyed ice fishing and snow sports a lot in PG!

Beautiful campus! Really neat how most of the buildings are connected on the main level. I can see how this would be appreciated in the depths of a PG winter! Location is a bit out of the way. Parking is a bit confusing too... I drove around for a bit looking for a pay stationary finally realized that first you park and then walk Into one of the buildings to pay - that was a new one for me, and was not well explained with the available signage.

The online attitude of the teachers is pathetic, students pay thousands of dollars in fees, and the teachers are not willing to help the students that are struggling. I think the teachers should get pay cuts since they don't think think they should help. The students should get less of a tuition charge. One teacher for instance is giving ng students 7 hours of videos to watch before the assignment. In what universe would you get to show your students 7 hours of videos in class each day then do work, the timeline just doesn't add up.

Integrated perishable wood from pine beetle kill was an innotative solution for waste management, promoting biofuel substainability. LEED Platnium status for a minute arcitechnual enginuity of the BioEnergy Plant was innotatively stellar. And the contruction and establishment of Wood Innovation and Design Centre (WIDC), being one of North America's highest contemporary wood buildings, is remarkable. An outstanding respected instition, especially considering the age and size -- a progressive university of substainability leadership.
