Very beautiful campus
Our daughter was recently accepted in the environmental engineering program at UBC. Everyone in admissions has been helpful and kind. We're so excited for what's to come!
One of the most beautiful campuses in the world!
Tell you the truth was not visiting UBC was down at wreck beach for Canada Day good times good times
What a beautiful place to live & study.
Decided to explore UBC as we’ve heard they have a beautiful campus. Despite it being summer, campus was still very lively. We walked around the athletic areas and there were a lot of people playing sports and walking around. Beautiful campus! We missed the botanical garden by 15 minutes but will be back to check it out!
Beautiful campus! 1 of the most beautiful university campuses in the world. And, this university is a part of the beautiful Vancouver marathon route.
UBC is UBC, that's it
Everytime I visit this campus I am in awe if how gorgeous it is????
Feels like the most inspiring university campus I’ve ever been!! Wish I could take a course at the sustainable department at some point. Went for a seminar about sustainable fashion during the last sustainable fashion week and the organisation works great! Big highlight on the structure and architecture of the campus, great outdoor and clear signage. You can find a museum, art gallery, chinese garden and if you want to take a little walk in the forest you’ll end up on a little beach on the ocean with a stunning view of the mountains! A dream!!
Transcendent, iconic, legendary.
This is a great great university, I bet. Really enjoy the stay in this campus tour. Hopefully can visit here again in the future.
A uni with BIG campus...worth paying a visit
One of the peaceful location Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.
A great Campus, where both students and visitors can enjoy a touch of real Canadian architecture and design. A must place you cannot miss when you are in Vancouver.
Thankful for beauty that comforts during a pandemic
Fantastic school
I love walking through the UBC campus! The spaciousness & greenery let you forget you're so close to a busy city.
The University of British Columbia (UBC) is a public research university with campuses in Vancouver and Kelowna, British Columbia. Established in 1908, UBC is British Columbia's oldest university. The university ranks among the top three universities in Canada. With an annual research budget of $600 million, UBC funds over 8,000 projects a year. The Vancouver campus is situated on the unceded territory of the Musqueam people in the University Endowment Lands, about 10 km (6 mi) west of Downtown Vancouver. UBC is home to TRIUMF, Canada's national laboratory for particle and nuclear physics, which houses the world's largest cyclotron. In addition to the Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies and Stuart Blusson Quantum Matter Institute, UBC and the Max Planck Society collectively established the first Max Planck Institute in North America, specializing in quantum materials. One of the largest research libraries in Canada, the UBC Library system has over 9.9 million volumes among its 21 branches. The Okanagan campus, acquired in 2005, is located in Kelowna, British Columbia. Eight Nobel laureates, 71 Rhodes scholars, 65 Olympians, ten fellows in both American Academy of Arts & Sciences and the Royal Society, and 273 fellows to the Royal Society of Canada have been affiliated with UBC. Three Canadian prime ministers, including Canada's first female prime minister Kim Campbell and current prime minister Justin Trudeau have been educated at UBC. The main campus is at Point Grey, approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from downtown Vancouver. It is near several beaches and has views of the North Shore mountains. The 7.63-square-kilometre (1,890-acre) Pacific Spirit Regional Park serves as a green-belt between the campus and the city. Buildings on the Vancouver campus occupy 1.09 million m2 (11.7 million sq ft) gross on 1.7 square kilometres (420 acres) of maintained land. The campus street plan is mostly in a grid of malls (some of which are pedestrian-only). Lower Mall and West Mall are in the southwestern part of the peninsula, with Main, East, and Wesbrook Malls northeast of them. The campus is not within Vancouver's city limits, and therefore UBC is policed by the RCMP rather than the Vancouver Police Department. However, the Vancouver Fire Department provides service to UBC under a contract. In addition to UBC RCMP, there is also the UBC Campus Security that patrols the campus. Postage sent to any building on campus includes Vancouver in the address. UBC Vancouver also has two satellite campuses within the City of Vancouver: at Vancouver General Hospital, for the medical sciences, and at Robson Square in downtown Vancouver, for part-time credit and non-credit programmes. UBC is also a partner in the consortium backing Great Northern Way Campus Ltd, and is affiliated with a group of adjacent theological colleges, which include the Vancouver School of Theology, Regent College, Carey Theological College and Corpus Christi College. The campus is home to numerous gardens. The UBC Botanical Garden and Centre for Plant Research, the first UBC department, holds a collection of over 8000 different kinds of plants used for research, conservation and education. The UBC botanical garden's original site was at the "Old Arboretum". All that remains of it today are trees planted in 1916 by John Davidson. The old arboretum is now home to many buildings including the First Nations House of Learning. The Nitobe Memorial Garden, built to honour Japanese scholar Inazo Nitobe, the garden has been the subject of more than fifteen years' study by a UBC professor, who believes its construction hides a number of impressive features, including references to Japanese philosophy and mythology, shadow bridges visible only at certain times of year, and positioning of a lantern filled with light at the exact date and time of Nitobe's death each year. The garden is behind the university's Asian Centre, which was built using steel girders from Japan's exhibit at Osaka Expo.
An interesting collection of spiecemens and some displays. Interesting to walk around and there's a interactive room in the back for a more close up view. It's a little dark and passive for those bringing kids, the little ones might eventually get scared or bored after a long visit. Otherwise, it's an interesting place to go at least once
Such a great place to visit. The campus, the little village, the trails around the location. All is really amazing!
University of British Columbia has a huge campus. I stayed at Walter Gauge residence during my visit to UBC. If you have your own vehicle, you can easily reach in any corner of the UBC. You can find couple of Korean/ Chinese supermarket around this area. There is 'Save on Foods' shopavailable nearby.
The most beautiful campus in North America
Nice school nice environment.
This is one of the most famous universities in the world. There are many people who dream of coming here to study
Awesome campus beautiful location.
Great place to visit and enjoy the view, especially in the summer. Lots of interesting rustic building, albeit they're building bigger and modern looking buildings lately. Oh yeah... It is a decent place to learn something as well... ????
Awesome. Amazing buidings and spaces.
Beautiful campus! Lots of parkland and access to the Pacific Ocean.
UBC is a great school with engaging professors, a huge variety of courses, a good support network, and multitude of facilities. Great view of the ocean too.
The baseball field was amazing.

Great place all-around...places to visit, places to eat. You should go see!
Very nice campus, cozy living neighborhood
I want my children to be enriched here.
not bad
Formerly a well-respected university but now primarily a property development company with a few nice museums and one good pub.
Most beautiful campus ever
What's not to love about UBC
What a beautiful University and the people are nice.
When you go to the same place most of the time, it's very easy to navigate UBC. I have that fortune, but whenever I have a new place to visit, it's a little more challenging, say knowing where to park to get close to the destination. As an older person, this is actually an issue.
This huge world famous university campus is so gorgeous, especially in the fall! It is so colorful everywhere! No wonder it is listed as one of the must-go tourist place in Vancouver as well as a great place to see the fall colors (when the leaves turn different colors in October). I really love their green college (the dorm area for graduate students). It looks like a nice retreat area!!! I wished I could come here for my master!!! Even if I have been to some top universities (e.g., Stanford, Harvard, MIT, etc.), this nice university still wins my heart!!! <3 Highly recommend coming here for a visit even as a tourist!!!
Beautiful campus
Very nice college
The place is surrounded by trees in almost all directions. It is a like mini city with in city.
What a beautiful place, barely any people because of COVID
One of the best point to see the Fall Colours of Vancouver.
It was awesome. Loved Wreck Beach ????
It’s a whole different world in itself. Everything feels so lively.

One of the best universities in the world, which provides quality education and research training.
We went to the UBC Pharma Building to get out first Pfizer vaccines. Beautiful building, gorgeous campus!
The best of the best in Canada! I love my alma mater ❤️❤️❤️
I was there in 1998 for SUPERCON, the national convention for Student Governments from college/university campuses all across Canada...what an amazing time! The last day there our entire team (The Sheridan College SU) opted to check out Wreck Beach (nude)...what an experience! We also went on a dinner cruise around Vancouver Island around sunset...what a spectacular evening!
There is a nice girl named gabby who goes there ❤️
So beautiful university!
Super sea view:)))
One of the best go to place on your day off during the pendenmic There are public water closet everywhere which is very important
Beautiful campus.
Holy macaroni is it pretty here. Don't expect to be able to walk from one end to the other in a few minutes, UBC is huge and you be seeing lots of big screw off buildings. Restaurants galore, one liquor store and not many people out and about because of covid. Trails are great, Wreck Beach is dope and plenty more!
Warren Field at UBC, expensive parking and very aggressive ticketing.
This place is beautiful. The campus is huge and full of endless surprises. Definitely a must see- especially at night when everything is lit up.
I do refer to the university endowment area. I'm very used to that area.
Great area to study
such an enjoyable ride with stunning view
A beautiful school. Every effort seems to have been made to make this a well organized and presented place of learning. The landscaping is gorgeous, and in the plethora of new buildings lie some historic finds dating back to the early 1900's, most of which seem to be in use.
Not UofT -1 star. /s
A beautiful campus! ⭐⭐⭐
Beautiful and huge campus nestled around mountains and ocean and big park. So many old n modern buildings
Great woodsy walk in the city. Fun off leash experience if you have pooches
Beautiful place of higher learning. All should visit lots of interesting places and things to do
Just doing a job !
Very beautiful campus, lots of food options. Lots of open space for outdoor activities.
A great place to live.
Beautiful campus. Very friendly People all around and a billion international students.
VERY NICE PLACESpeople would like to visi t I AM LOOKING FOR WHEN I GET CHANCE IN NEAR FUTURE AT ALL.
Beautiful university, wish my son can study there
I attended UBC not knowing the horrible things they do to animals! they have many animal testing labs and test 100 thousands of animals each year ,,,, including monkeys! shame on you UBC! I am ashamed of myself for not knowing this when i was there ! i would have started a campaign there...
I went to UBC for the Covid vaccination and all those who will receive vaccination there also receive free parking at the Thunderbird Parade which is right next door to the Building of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Right at the entrance and all the way through are smiling friendly faces of Westjet staff helping to direct us. This is definitely First Class Premium service, seamless, organized and efficient. The medical personell administering the vaccine are kind and reassuring. We received clear printed information sheets on "After vaccination care" and asked to sit for observation for about 15 minutes. Although no juice or cookies for good behavior, I must rate the whole experience as 5 stars or a 10 out of 10. Now if only other government agencies can run like....????
Called to ask about a mechanical engineering program and left 10 messeges to set an appointment and never called me back worst university stuff i have ever seen!
Security need to be improved. 2 bikes were stolen in a year.
Aside from being a great educational institution, it is a beautiful university and great spots for photography including some museums and gardens.
Great place to visit. Beautiful campus , can visit various gardeñs and museums. Surrounding area is also nice and scenic and can walk to Locarno beach as well
It's just perfect.
Beautiful campus (despite all the construction), and many great profs, but unfortunately with the way UBC is handling in-person exams, I must give this one star. They should *not* be making students write exams with hundreds or even thousands of other people in the same room during a pandemic, especially when someone is sick and could very easily pass it to others. With the omicron variant spreading very quickly, this is inexcusable.
It was a new experience. Two doctors were patient and understanding my fear while getting a needle in my hip.
Beautiful place.
Beautiful place for events and photos
Beautiful campus and the view is so amazing.
Very nice campus nice to walk around and go see the museum and botanical garden
Area has changed very much since I was past here. I was coming to work on a construction site unfortunately from Westbrook there are virtually no signs, probably a rule about it, so after a walk down a gravel road, through the woods for fifteen minutes the tendancy would be to turn around and leave. A few signs just so you know your headed in right direction would be helpful...because at one point I almost turned around & headed home. In this case 'wayfinding' is not a priority that's for sure, too bad because UBC is such a beautiful location. PLEASE add signage!!!
I like its campus, and landscape beside sea
Beautiful university to visit. Just don't come study here.
4 weeks to process? ALL IS DUE JAN 30. BY THE TIME YOU ANSWER.... IT IS A DEADLINE!?!?!? PLEASE REPLY. Answer your phones please this is absolutely ridiculous. Its 2020. Not 1875.
Felt like the Chance of a Lifetime when I got to go to the UBC Summer Science Program once upon a time.
they care about your money but not you
I went for a procedure and was glad everything is fine. The medical staff and admitace people were great. It was a good experience for me. The campus as a whole is a great place to visit as well. Great university to attend and visit.
It is one of the top universities in Canada. Lots of opportunities in academics, applied studies and research.
Hard to get in, must have high average. Very competitive and a lot of stress, I would say that’s the normal university life.
Best campus ever !
Clean mostly and fair accomodations, a bit high priced
Without the ability to download or send maps with "dragging" changes, maps functionality is less useful for me in real time. I use a different app most of the time bcos of that. Oops. Just realized this is in the wrong section. Shoud'a been in Google's Map review section. Nvm, ignore Carry on.
Grad class of 2015 Best school, best teachers, the worst students. Oh and don't forget World's best clothing optional WreckBeach
One of the best universities in the country in the top places to live in the world. Top quality research institute. One of the most scenic campuses in the world with the forest, mountain and the sea in close proximity. Close to the famous Wreck Beach. Other beaches just minutes away.
City on its own. Parking could be cheaper.
Beautiful and well-marked trails.
I graduated 2018 very proud of this school.
Will miss here a lot after graduation
Never when here but google maps told me to write a review
One of the best Canada University. Good park and location. Very terrific place to living there.
Proud to be a part of this great university! Class of 94
Great Students ????????
Large campus filled with many sites of interest to view .. Wreck Beach is a great experience
