I recently graduated from Sprott Shaw and even though all of the classes were online, the staff and students were welcoming and understanding. I am a student fresh out of high school so you betcha that finding a post-secondary school was stressful. If you are a shy person that enjoys the nostalgic feeling of being in small classrooms; you can meet amazing new people here. Overall, I was fortunate to have an instructor that cares for every single one of her students and one that looks forward to her student's success.

Sherry Moyes (Veterinary Assistant Course Teacher & Director) is the most compassionate, informative, wonderful teacher I have ever had. I loved this program and my career SO much, Sherry is the most amazing thing about Sprott Shaw College!! Because I’m autistic I struggled to have my educational needs met through traditional schooling. I was able to excel in this course because Sherry makes a conscious effort to address different learning needs and abilities so every one of her students. She treats them as opportunities instead of roadblocks which meant everything to me. Sherry cares so much about her students, it was obvious she comes to work every day because she loves to teach and loves her students so much. She wants them to succeed and doesn’t give up on them, even if they are stubborn. I love that Sherry focuses on teaching you the most important things you will need to know in the field so that you will remember it forever, instead of overloading with information for test purposes. Getting to do field days at clinics during my course was an awesome way to bring relevancy to what I was learning in class, and I got hired a immediately after school doing what I love! It was an absolute honour to be Sherry’s student, I feel so lucky and thankful. I highly recommend her program and becoming a VA to anyone with a passion to care for animals & their humans, and excitement to learn even if traditional schooling wasn’t for you. You will have so much fun with an amazing teacher to support you every step of the way. :)

I have been learning my ECE course since on Sep, 2019 and can't believe that my course is only 2 weeks away. Basic was with Ms. Jessica who was sweet, kind, always approchable to ask to help more, and IT & CWE with Ms.Inna who is intelligent, has charisma, and silly as well, having with her planning IEP was always challenging moments for most of our classmates but absolutely worth expereince for sure. : ) Also Ms. Harpreet is alway there to help us to complete our practicum as good enough as it has planned and Monica the director is smiled at us with her educational passion and always cheer us up. I could've not done this without all staffs' support in Sprott Shaw College. Many thanks to all of them.

Coming into the VA program at Sprott Shaw - Richmond Campus as a mature student was frightening. It has been 20 years since I attended school. Sherry Moyes is my instructor and I am FOREVER thankful because of it. She is very knowledgeable in the field, an excellent teacher, fair and ensured the scope of learning was necessary to become an Awesome VA. She will forever be my biggest mentor and I am truly thankful she was able to teach me. We were put into Field days during the program which puts us into a clinic setting, allowing all her teachings to be put into practice. I will miss her deeply. She has taken a student who struggles with learning (myself) and made this program enjoyable, rewarding and I was offered a job Before I graduated thanks to her classes. I am feeling confident and comfortable stepping into the field now with a great perspective and knowledge from what she has taught me. I Truly wish there more teachers like you everywhere! I've never been a big fan of school growing up. But attending Sprott Shaw with Sherry Moyes as my instructor has been the best experience I've ever had. She makes things interesting in class and tries her best to involve everyone. Even when our program is remote through webex she tries her best to get us out there and get hands on experience through field days. Not to mention Sherry is the most understanding and patient instructor I've had. I was going through a rough patch during my school year and Sherry was very understanding and tried her best to work with me to get me in class and finish up my courses. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is interested in the VA program to study under Sherry.

Sprott Shaw College made my life totally different from before. Right now, I am taking Infant Toddler Program. My instructor Inna, she is very experienced and helpful, I learned a lot from her. She shared a lot of experiences and gave me a lot of advices to help us succeed. I learn more about Infant Toddler as we go through the courses. Strongly recommended to take the IT program here, after IT program I will take the Special need program too. I enjoyed studied here, and can’t wait to finish my programs and go on the field.

Sprott Shaw College has multiple campuses made for your convenience. Everything went so smooth from registration to enrolling in the program was made nice and easy by Tasha (admissions advisor) from Surrey Campus. Due to COVID, all classes were virtual which made me hesitant as to how much knowledge and practice I would be able to obtain, surprisingly they were very organized and our wonderful teacher Sherry Moyes from Richmond Campus helps every individual look for clinic placement opportunities to practice in throughout the course which was great help! Not only was she knowledgeable and very accommodating, she was very kind and funny which was a plus! She focuses on every individual students needs based on their academic level. She has taught me a lot more than I learned in class. Only downside, I wish Sprott Shaw offered a Veterinary Technician program for those who love Sprott Shaw and want to continue advancing in the booming industry with techs and vet shortage. Otherwise loved that they kept the online program! It was so convenient and saves a lot of time and money!

I like this campus to have many things but I would like to talk about a few things. When I took an IT and Special Needs course in Richmond campus, it was nearby the Canada line like 3 mins. It is comfortable to connect transfer. for the first time. Director, Monica and officers like Yanny and Suman and so on ,who are very kind and caring all the time. My director already knows what do I need and try to help me and us our needs. MY instructor, Inna has a lot of knowledge and experiences in the field and students to learn and have her know-how during your course. She always encourage us to study and to answer our questions. I believe that she is the best by teaching us. Meanwhile when you do not do anything during class, you can't get anything as well like cooperation. We should get along together like we are same in the boat. If you want to be the best , You can get a great your qualities because I feel like they always keep helping and they will be the best for us all of them in Richmond campus in Sprott shaw college. We also make big smile, we will be happy to each other and funny class. I know it is hard to study our course if we would help and share each other. you can have a good memory during class.. Sprott Shaw College's VA Program at the Richmond Campus was incredibly educational and jam packed full of Veterinary Assisting knowledge geared towards the career. My instructor Sherry was passionate about the subject and taught us lots, and well. Overall a very comprehensive program that I would recommend.

After completing my ECE Basics, and Post Basics courses, I can say with certainty that Sprott Shaw Richmond Campus is a very respectable college. It is a small campus with a friendly environment. The instructors I had, Harpreet and Inna showed to be incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and flexible. I have learned so much just from following their lectures, and examples of what they have experienced. They do their best to accommodate for all of the students. I found the director of the campus to be an amazing person, who is very helpful to the students of the campus. I highly recommend Sprott Shaw Richmond Campus for their ECE courses.

for those who wants to take IT and Special Needs in Sprottshaw, I strongly recommend Inna as your instructor. She is such an amazing person, she is the best teacher I've ever met. She had worked with children for over 17 years, and that allows her to tell us a lot of practical skills and knowledge on working with children. She has a strong sense of humor, which makes her class full of laugh and fun. And I love the free discussion in her class. I never felt boring in her class.

My Partner is currently attending this school. She is a dedicated, compassionate, and very driven humane person. The type of person ANY parent would want as an educator to our children. She is actively involved, engaged, and genuine in all her efforts. This School, has really let her shine and support her in her commitment and passion to becoming a great child educator. The training provided to her by the educators at Sprott Shaw Richmond are always top notch. Harpreet has been a huge inspiration for my partner. Harpreet is dedicated in educating her students to be as professional and successful in the ECE field. To answer the selected few who have conspired in socially harming the Educators respect and dedication to there craft. The audacity and spiteful approach shows how inappropriate, selfish and unqualified you are in educating children. Your lack of respect during class for your classmates or the teacher, the constant interruptions. You were approached when you were being inappropriate and that hurt your feelings. So you decide to use Google Reviews to vent your revenge. Your classmates disagree with your inappropriate behaviors. Just because you don't care about the course and you are here to simply use this course for alternative motives, doesn't give you the right to disturb those that are there to work hard and achieve a good grad to be the best they can be. To conclude, this School and there Educators are not perfect, but they are the best in the field. If you work hard and commit to the program, you WILL succeed. 5 Stars for being a Great School! I'm in the ECE program at the Richmond campus. I was hesitant to register as there were mix reviews about the school and instructors. I'm glad I made the choice to register with Sprott Shaw College at the Richmond campus. The curriculum is challenging, however the knowledge that you take away from it is very relevant and applicable. The teachers that I have had the pleasure of being with, Lisa and Harpreet have alot of knowledge and relevant experiences that make it easy to understand the concepts. I'm think the negative information that is shared about the schools and the teachers is by students who didn't understand the concepts and didn't bother asking for help, or don't follow policies and try to cheating on exams or assignments. I am aware the negative review below by Ada is from a student who was caught cheating. I can always contact the teachers with my questions and I am left with a positive feeling afterwards. Harpreet also make time, even in the evenings to answer questions or to help explain things. The director, Monica, is also very supportive and ensures everyone is complying with the policies and codes of conduct. I would recommend the campus and the program to anyone looking for a strong foundation in ECE.

My study at Sprott Shaw was great especially because of my professor Sherry Moyes. She was always caring and made the course easy to understand. We always got our marks for tests and assignments fast so that was also a plus!! If I take another course at Sprott Shaw in the future I definitely want Sherry again as my prof :)

Sprott Shaw College has further established my teaching career. My instructor, Ms. Inna, was very informative, and she always shares her experience with us. We had lots of scenarios and examples for us to practice to mimic situations in real life. We also practiced lots of IEPs to help us write effective and realistic long term goals and short term objectives. There were also videos and resources shown to support learning. I was a bit skeptical and very afraid of what I could do in my age and competing with the young generation. I have realized that even my computer skills were not that good for the online study. So my first days were really stressful because it was something completely different from my 20 years retail experience . However I was overwhelmed with our wonderful and kind instructor Sherry Moyes. All stress and anxiety was far gone after a few days and I have really enjoyed every single class and day Her attitude , patience and her personal experience in dealing with many Animal Hospitals helped as well . My VA instructor Sherry went above and beyond to ensure the success of her students! She never gave up on us even if we felt we had given up on ourselves and saw the potential and best in each of us! The campus is small but there is lots of one on one attention that comes with a small campus, plus it is easy to get in touch with campus director/ counsellor, financial advisor etc as they are all in the same vicinity. I have a very good experience in SSC. I have completed the Basic course, and now I am taking an IT course on the Richmond campus. And I plan to take the Special Needs course too. Our instructor, Inna, will share her experience with us. She is a serious and responsible teacher with enthusiasm.
