FVCC is listed as a centre to write your RESP Proficiency Examination. I had called them to arrange for this. A time (3pm) was agreed with the woman I spoke to and confirmed through a text message. When I arrived to write the test, the door was locked and after knocking, no-one answered. I called the woman that I had initially spoken to and asked what was going on. She was surprised that no-one was there and said she would get in touch with the proctor. I called back a few minutes later and she said she couldn't get in touch with the proctor. She asked for 5 more minutes. The proctor called me 5 minutes later and said that he was sick and not there. I was extremely frustrated because there was not a courtesy phone call to let me know. Considering that the test was scheduled for 3pm, there was more than enough time to give me a call.
The proctor did apologize and said that I could come in and write the test the following week. This further frustrated me as I had originally tried to schedule writing this test on Saturday and they weren't able to accommodate. Due to my personal circumstances (stay at home mom with 2 young children), rescheduling to a weekday during business hours was extremely challenging. The proctor kept saying I could come in during business hours the following week and I kept responding with saying how difficult it was due to my personal situation. Because I felt that this wasn't going anywhere, I hung up.
Then I text messaged the woman I had scheduled this with and essentially wrote the conduct with her and her proctor was unprofessional. I questioned why there wasn't phone call or a text message. I said that rescheduling this test was extremely difficult because I take care of my children full time. I said a phone call was owed and as a result your institution has demonstrated their lack of professionalism.
I did a google search about this college and the reviews aren't fantastic. I would be really cautious with the people at this college before you do any type of business with them.
