I attended an FWR Program for three years. In the RENR classroom, close to the end of the third year, in the cabinets that were under students desks, once opened for the first time, there were very old moss balls and what once were stuffing of birds; though, stripped eaten to the bones by larva and crumbled up dry over a very long time. That old crumbled animal matter with moss ball chemicals was getting air born into the classroom through the large openings of loosely closing cabinetry doors. They also had this black humor stuffing on the wall, which was a rabbit with skillfully glued antlers and ears from a goat, or something alike, showing how serious they were about animals. Though, not much is worse than the false globe doctrine they kept failing me on. They drained large aquarium with fish during year two, one wonderful feature in the class, though, it was theirs. The cashier reception desks were floor down, where receptionists collected digital card payments.

Vaccination site drive thru lineup was only 2 cars long, a light breeze made the open air 15 minutes wait after shot pleasant. Helpful and friendly staff playing light hearted jokes on each other was a bit of entertainment while making a sometime daughnting task for some less stressful.

I'm taking classes now in an echo-prone classroom that has no sound baffling so noise from neighboring classes interfere with our lectures. I really don't know how anyone can learn anything here. Not sure the curricula is taught by qualified teachers. The instructor we have is someone from industry so they're qualified that way, but in my opinion, they are not effective instructors. I have a bachelors from SFU so I know what proper instruction should be like. We as students are usually googling Youtube video's for further understandings and clarifications.

Posting as an former international student. I took their invasive cardiology program (I live in California and work in pediatric cardiology). It is pretty intensive and very insightful. I was hoping to complete this program, but working full time, I couldn't get the internship hours. I work in Pediatric cardiology, so we don't do as much invasive cardiac catheterizations, EP studies and pacemakers. In the adult setting, it's common and daily to do these procedures. That was my barrier as a student in learning. During that time though, the program itself, online was absolutely great.

If you're looking for SW3 1920 it's in the building connected west of the main SW3 building. Very large bathrooms on the 3rd and 4th floor. Couple free computer labs in this building. Building also is connected to SE12. They should really have another name for the west connecting building. There are also no bathrooms in the west SW3 building.

Carla Reid called me super annoyed that my mail was returned to BCIT (was not something in my control), and when I gave her my address, she literally searched it up on Google Maps and said that "I'm looking at your building, how are they supposed to deliver to your place without a unit number?" She kept denying me when I explained to her that the mail will get delivered. Around 3 times we went in circles about this, because she was that annoyed about a letter being returned. Very condescending the whole time.

absolute brutal school, i dropped out of my course for struggling with online school and they wouldn't refund my money, on top of that I have a student loan now + no job and cant receive ei. thanks bcit i hope you realize the damage your doing to people for a buck$.

Took Millwright foundation. Waste of time and money when every employer wants 2nd or 3rd year apprentices. No opportunities to get an apprenticeship and you can't take second year without having an employer sponsor. The system is set up to bilk people out of their money or the tax payers money.

Worst school ever. Never properly taught anything and expected to have same knowledge as graduated professional. Nursing instructors should promote their students and help educate and train them, not punishing their students for the instructors own lack of initative! I warn all potential nursing students to stay away from BCIT! All they want is your money and they do not put in any effort towards choosing responsible and approachable school representatives. Curriculum was garbage, teachers were trash, and school support is the biggest joke I’ve ever seen. Other colleges such as Langara, Douglas, or Kwantlan have amazing set curriculum with patient and inspiring teachers. Fire Sarbjit Sull and Jamie Feldstein before they lead another student to depression and suicidal ideation. BCIT discriminates against their students!

First of all, Online school is a joke. Teachers just present and think you understand. Good luck getting your questions answered when there is 30 other students asking questions in the chat. Instructors do not reply to emails either, so you have no idea if you're doing something correct until its too late and you've failed the assignment. Bad experience with BCIT, will not return and would not recommend the school to anyone else in the trades.

graduated railway school here over 10 years ago. they cram too much stuff in their program so alot of students had problems passing hte tests. there was alot of stuff we didnt have to know to be a railway conductor. but we all got hired by the railways, they came to interview us on campus before we graduated. the program isnt necessary to work on the railway obviously, so they couldve taught what was actually needed instead of giving us a general knowledge for a bunch of stuff we dont need. in a way it felt like we were subsidizing railway corporations because we are paying for our school so they dont have to.

Very bad experience with this so called Institute of Beautiful British Columbia ie BCIT…Big stigma on BC education system,thr r lots of contradictions regarding their admission process. no one knows the exact dates and procedure. they should hire experienced and qualified staff to help students. as per information from their admission dept. that the admission of one of the part time course open on 24 Feb 2021. when i contacted the institute on that date they said that all seats are full by 19 feb. Even thr dean said to me that you are late we dont have 2nd instructor and started making excuses, they only make fool of you, rather than to help you out. Corrupt system of this institute. They even dnt entertain your complaints too. I called thr complaint dept even they don’t care abt u..So only time waste…

Studied to be a heavy duty equipment technician I took the foundations course it was a long 9 months but we'll worth it got an apprenticeship as a heavy equipment mechanic 7 months into the course teachers are well rounded with knowledge from many sectors of the industry. Looking forward to year two.
