We did a video shoot for our final project on Sunday when there was no one in the floor, security came and told us we were not allowed to shoot inside the building. Security said that we need a permission pass from our program head stating that we are allowed to shoot a project inside BCIT.... ?????..... Before this we have been doing video shooting for our course both in Downtown and Burnaby campus and there was no problem at all. (Note: we never show any brands inside our videos to avoid any copyright violation)

I used BCIT servises as I needed an invigilator for my exam. I was communicating with Tanya, the Assessment Administrator, before and during my exam and I have to say she provides excellent customer service, she is very responsive via email, and approachable, friendly and kind in person. Pretty clean place for learning and studying. However, there are some renovation projects underway as of this writing. If noise is an issue for you try the library or Burnaby campus instead.

Based on my personal experience that is my opinion: Range 0 - 10 Service or Product: 7 Customer service: 6 Environment: 7 Cleaning: 6 Washroom: 4 Cost: 5 Accept Bitcoins: No #RCrecommendsit It is way cheaper for residents. If you are international student you have to pay about 2.5 times more. Although, it is a great College. I am attending Accounting and Finance classes. Here is a lot of assignment to do. Try to find a good professor.

They did NOT refund me fully properly. They refunded me $200-ish less via money transfer. They just justified themselves and blamed my bank then closed the case. No matter how many times I asked them to explain the situation and fix it asap, they disappeard that is a big fraud. They did not dislose the breakdown of the transaction though I did ask them million times, and Kathy, the director of BCIT promised me to do so. It is also disappointing that Edward Ko at the international office who used to be kind and patient did NOT help me on this. In short, they did NOT add commission and exchage rate stuff on purpose when remiting back the $$$$ that was mandatory to do, which I covered when transfering the required amount to BCIT. Horrible as ever.

I like BCIT. My review is based on a specific class. Took an InDesign course here, MDIA 2049. The prof handed out a step by step booklet and just walked around answering random questions. No instruction or explanation what so ever. NOT what I expected for a $450 course. Dropped it as soon as I could. Honestly, you would learn more from online tutorials. I feel bad for the students that are taking the entire graphics program and have to take this guy's class. On the other hand I took the MDIA 1049 at the Burnaby campus and that was super awesome and highly recommended.

Use your BCIT account to access wifi Steps from Granville skystrain station with many food options surrounding the perimeter. Tim Hortons and A&W just around the corner for a quick snack in between classes or during class breaks. Great location with lots of available seating and spaces to study/collaborate

the staff doesn’t know anything. they don’t have any knowledge. Everytime everyone just gave different answer to the same question. Due to their lack of knowledge ... i am having a really bad impact on my studies, schedule and registration. Ridiculous

I've been at both Burnaby and Downtown campus multiple times and I must say, Downtown campus service/security staff (not aiming at professors) are the absolute worse. They don't want to help you. They will do the most minimal effort to avoid any interaction with a human and send you off. They look like they can't even stand each other! I live in Downtown and I'd rather take a longer commute to Burnaby because the staff there are so much more friendly and so much more willing to help you sort any problems. Basically, Downtown service staff are tremendously lazy.
