My experience at COTR was abysmal. Students are not treated with fairness, respect or equality. Overall COTR is heartless and they will wring you for every penny because they care more about their bottom line than your wellbeing. Save your money and study elsewhere.

Tuition is affordable. Housing is affordable. The campus is located beside an amazing community forest with lakes. I have been really impressed with my experience here so far. The instructors know you by name and genuinely care for you to succeed. The class sizes are small and it makes for more engaging classes. I would recommend this college to anyone who requires a little more attention from the instructors. And the best part, how integrated the college is with the local Ktunaxa peoples since the college is situated on their land.

Sandi Hill the department head of Health and Human services is one of the nastiest people you will every have the displeasure of dealing with. She revels in the misfortune of others and has complete disregard for the well being of anyone but her self. I’m not quite sure how she has maintained her position as head of Health and Human services. Steer clear if possible, but if you enjoy being laughed at and talked down to like a toddler, by all means.

Please do not choose this college. Fees may appear low but they intentionally fail you so you have to pay more. Moreover its racist, especially the facilities of accounting , very discriminating and possess no knowledge of their discipline. 100% guaranteed, this college will be your worst experience in your student life. They do not care about the mental health of students or anything of that matter.

Not a very good college if your from fernie or sparwood they treat you like they don't want you there. Only seems to want foreign students for more money. Teachers are just pulled off the streets and don't seem to know alot about there jobs and often join in on bullying students

It is my humble request to all the international students from India or other non-English speaking countries to save their precious money from this college by not getting enrolled as they are there to fail you in the courses that are very easy to pass, and their ultimate goal is to make money through us since they know that we come from a non- English speaking country and don't know about our rights. They know very well that it will be harder for us to defend ourselves in case we try to raise our voices and often our voices get suppressed by the college administration as they are also a part of this money making process. So, please keep yourselves away from this college and take your admission somewhere else, unless you are ready to take huge unfair mental stress. In the end, I give a big jeers to this college. Also, your racist international department is not there to help us but to screw us over, you racists. Why are you trying to project yourselves as being very caring and unbiased. Everybody knows what you do behind the scene.

Just think, how much time would they take to give your Credential certificate if you have to wait for like more than two weeks for just one simple document which is already done but just needs to be edited!! I am waiting for my document from the international department for over two weeks now. I guess they should hire more staff if they do not have productive employees!

Currently i am studying in college of the rockies and based on what i am suffering now I would never recommend this college because they are mentally torches me by giving wrong advice and after that they are not even responding me so this college is the worst college ever for the students.

I have been studying at College of the Rockies since a few semesters. All i can say is i am proud to be a student of this college. The staff is super friendly and the instructors really know their topics in depth. It is a great honor to have such instructors. They expect a level of effort to be put in the assignments. I have seen the changes in me. My parents have seen the change too. I get more more knowledge about the courses as each semester passes by. These past 2 years have been the best time of my life. I am lucky to call myself a College of the Rockies student.

Good school but for residence... beware of additional charges for "cleaning" living in residence. Also near constant recreational marijuana and other substances. And a nice $65 dollar carpet cleaning fee for a total of 5ft area in the living room. Would be nice to not charge students for ridiculous items like stove liners monthly, because they are dirty? They are meant to be used to line the stove! In addition to other things, they find to justify and keep the cleaner's yearly salary intact. Expect to get back half of your $200 damage deposit.

SPECIALLY INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS-i could have given minus stars if that was allowed. you will suffer depression if you choose to study this college. agenda is clear for instructors fail the international students get money from tuiton fee. i was topper in my country but it took me three years to complete diploma in cotr. Teachers will do there level best to fail you. Some of the teachers teach three subjects not even know how to teach one. My four cousins were asking me if they can take admission to this college i said i beg you dont apply to this college, so atleast i took some of the revenge.

I will not give any stars but no choice, lower tution fees compared to any other metropolitan cities is the only advantage for internationals. In return they will bug you for your entire student life.please don't come to this college if you really want to enjoy your student period. Stress,mental harassment,racist teacher,lot of prerequisites to enroll in your favorite subject where you have enough qualifications, so to be honest I won't recommend this college to anyone, purely waste of time and money. And a kind request to management, I DONT NEED any response to this review because I had sent you many emails and contacted several times when I NEEDED but no use and I didn't got any fair and justice approach. I think " time is a sensitive factor " ,now I am not a student anymore. I believe that education is a service rather than a business.

It's true according to the reviews here. The front office is extremely unhelpful and rude. It's really frustrating when you want to join the school but you met with cold shoulder. Very unfortunate I have to apply to another school.

Teachers do not make accommodations for learning disabilities such as ADHD or ADD Library staff it so personally sold me the incorrect books at the start of the year and would not refund with them not being opened but we're able to find one of my old roommates the wi-fi at residence is so bad you might as well just buy your own adding to the cost which makes a lot of fun for covid-19 assignments and tests are online. Staff members will read an email from students the wait long periods of time before responding. That's if they choose to respond at all. I personally found out three days ago that there was a extra key to my personal pod that the head of resistance didnt know about. The walk ways around the school aren't maintained during winter i personally was had to be absent from my class for a week due to back a knee injuries

Only putting one star because I have to , was interested in classes furthering my carreer and was hit with brick wall after brick wall , they did not seem interested in making an effort to see what I needed ,staff never returned calls or anything , finally a month later I get a call by very rude snarky woman telling me what they require without ever listening to my needs or concerns , if I'm paying any amount of money for my education it will be taught in a way that suites me especially for the amount you pathetic rip off charge , don't waste any time or money here , it's your future your money ,take it to a school that will be happy to accommodate you in a way that you need
