So far everything’s been amazing everyone’s helpful and kind making it easier for me to prep for my coarse in a few weeks one down side is the software requirements for online courses I just received a chrome book as a hift just to find out I have to return it within a certain time frame to be able to return and get a windows 10 running pc so a little frustrated with that but other than that Robertson’s amazing

I can't speak for other programs, but don't take anything remotely technical through them. I've been stuck watching youtube videos, and spending a lot of additional money on resources to actually learn what I need. Not to mention the fact that I've had to actually go out of my way to purchase textbooks that were supposed to be INCLUDED in my program costs. It's horrible, please just take whatever upgrading you need and go to NAIT.

Do not waste your time with this college. I have been in contact with Micheal for a year. When I first contacted him I made it clear I was graduating high school with my high school certificate NOT diploma. I wasted a year investing my time to only be given diploma options. Completely disappointing and unprofessional. do not bother.

I absolutely love it! I have friends taking this course through other colleges in the city and they are struggling because it's not set up as well as Robertson is. Starting the program off with learning the basics and the programs used throughout the course, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, really prepares you for the work students have ahead of them and how to format it all properly and confidently. The communication available, even though the classes are online, is very welcoming and reminds you that you are not alone in this process. I also find it very helpful to widen my thinking and gain ideas that I never would have thought of. There is plenty of outlets to reach out for help no matter what time of the day it is and I have always gotten a response. My experience has just begun, and I am looking forward to participating in the rest of my course. I have suggested Robertson to many of my friends that are wanting to pursue a college education and have swayed a few minds towards Robertson College based on my great experience.

I am still currently enrolled in my course with Robertson College, but I am finding the experience fantastic. All of the online tutors are there for support and help, no email or message to them is an issue, they respond and help. They provide feedback from assignments so you know areas you are doing well in or may need some improvement. Some may feel the whole online experience is not as informative or personal, but this isn't the case. The online way lets you complete the course in your own time. Obviously, you have to complete and submit the assignments on time and put in the attendance, but it can be done at any time of the day and whatever days fit in with your life. I really love this aspect of it. The whole course has given me a purpose to achieve something for myself, and I am truly enjoying the challenge. I am a more mature student, and initially felt scared of taking this step, but I am so glad I did, and wish I'd done it sooner. The online platform, Brightspace, is completely user-friendly, not difficult to learn your way around it. I would recommend taking an online course with Robertson College to anyone that wants to better themselves. Thank you.

Due to the professors/instructors I had everything I needed to know and learn was easy to understand. They explained everything in the simplest way, especially when I was having trouble understanding/learning the material. There was ups and downs during the group projects but that was because of my classmates in the group was not compatible with one another and had different opinions. But in the end of the group project everything ended well.

Some of the instructors are nice. But the whole program is so disorganized. No one was told that the course would be extended but it was by over a month. I dropped out and I'm still waiting on my refund and its been over a month. I have emailed multiple times and they only got back to me saying "oh it will be mailed out tomorrow they just signed it today" why did they just sign it the day i emailed about it taking a while and I was worried? I'm really frustrated with the lack of communication. After you pay them they kinda stop caring. At least the place itself does. The instructors still care but it depends on which one.

Only in for the money!!! Worst class I have ever taken. The class was only a 20 minute teaching lesson and the rest of the time (4 hour class) was chitchat between teacher and students (not course related). Complaints were made to the head coordinator but nothing was done because they already recieved my money. $15 000.00 down the drain! I graduated over a year ago and still unemployed. I have not gained the skills to follow in the career I paid for. Don't waste your time or money!!!

Robertson College was introduced by my friend because I don’t have any idea about schools since we are just new here in Canada. I am overwhelmed because when I was just started in my course, I feel welcomed and it feels like I am talking in person with the school administration even via email only. What catches my interest is using the brightspace student portal. It is a user friendly and very helpful in my studies. It has the summary of the topic or course to be discussed aside from the ebook access using the VitalSource bookshelf application. I can’t ask for more. I know I’m in the right place to study, and I believe I will be studying again here soon in the future.

I wish we could give half stars. Anyways, I'm currently a student here and it has its ups and downs. More downs than ups in my personal opinion. It's a great college in the sense you basically get to work at your own pace and that the professor's for the most part just leave you be. The faculty always respond within maximum 3 days, and will answer your questions with as much detail as possible. The professor's for the most part, are always willing to help their students and will encourage outside the box thinking and will work with what the student needs in order to succeed. The downsides are, some professor's will mark your assignments wrong based off a technicality, example being if you state "based off legal requirements in Canada, bigamy is illegal" instead of "bigamy is a crime" you will be marked wrong and docked marks because you didn't actually use the words "it's a crime". If you complain about it, the higher ups will side with the professor because they need to remain consistent with other students. They also tell you that you can do something, but later turn around and dock you marks for doing it, but won't tell you to that you'll be docked marks for doing what they had told you to do. The communication leaves room for much improvement. They also want essentially essay styled discussion posts, and will only award you 15 marks for it. Example one discussion post I did was 3 pages of a word document, and I was awarded 13/15 marks because I didn't go into enough detail. Overall this school is decent. Not the best, but definitely not the worst.

I quite like learning online at Robertson College. I will say however, that the classes are incredibly fast paced and anyone looking to join a Online course needs to be aware that time Management and Motivation are key factors. It is a bit isolating because you have no interaction with other students in your class, but the pandemic wouldn't allow that anyways. HUGE benefit to doing online college is that I am able to keep working, and can work at any time of the day. The teacher's are usually quite accessible. I want to give a huge shoutout to Patricia Ward for being an amazing teacher, very educational courses, I appreciate the material she gives us, her video's she makes are incredibly helpful, and she always responds as quickly as possible. Even on the weekends. She always ensures we have as much resources as possible to effectively complete all assignments. Overall my experience at Robertson College has been great :)

In June 2020 I got laid off from my job. I had no idea what to do next. When I decided going back to school would be the best option, I began researching. I was looking for a short program, where I could grow my skills. The most program I was in was at least 2 years. Then I stumbled upon Robertson. I found a program for Digital Marketing, that was only 11 months! I began in January 2021 and I haven't regretted it for a moment. My class is small so I was able to get tailored information in each class. I have gained so much knowledge, and I can't wait to put it into practice when I graduate in November!

If the college wasn’t formatted the way it was I don’t think I would of even went to college. The fast that the classes are done in 2 week brackets then onto the next unit and your not dealing with 5 classes at the same time for 6 months giving you assignments and exams all in one week helped a lot. Also has a very great teacher who would spend extra time to help me understand the concepts I had natural push back against.

What a great experience to go back to school after 20 years! Finding the right post-secondary school in Canada wasn't easy as sound. Robertson College instructor make it easier for me. From my on-line/in-class teacher Paustine to my practicum instructor, Michelle, help me find the ways to be more comportable to my new career. And my clinical instructor, Darnel, motivates myself to be much better in Health Care and gives a lot of advice base on his experiences.. Koodos!!! to their patience... Happy to have them as my teachers..????????????

I graduated with my diploma in digital marketing recently from here and I have a few clients working with me to grow their business and expand their exposure but of course not because of paying $14k to this college and learning all the skills from them. but because I’m a hard worker who tried to improve the skills I have after realizing that the diploma hasn’t thought me more than what I knew when I started. From my experience, the people at RC were very eager to help me get started. They were extremely helpful and kind. Shoutout to Pramool, who was very patient and informative with me. My current instructor seems to have a genuine interest in the benefit of his students, which is a very rare quality in professors; especially online. My only concern is that the video's usually only show one update of Windows, when there should be multiple video options for different versions of Windows. For example, the "section break" button on MS Word is non-existent in the free version of Word for Windows 10. For some people of whom English is not their first language, the questions are worded quite strangely. Thanks for your time! be safe <3

I had great instructors, and the course was very informative about what to expect in the workforce. It helped me understand where my strengths and weaknesses with the tasks of an everyday job. The class schedule was easy to follow and helped stay focused on the assignments that were at hand. After not being in school for so many years and going back, it was a simple transition for me. If you had questions, the instructors and student services were there to help you. The fellow students were friendly. And the facility at the campus was friendly. The financial advisors and administrative staff helped you through the funding process. My experience was great. And can't wait to start again with another course.

Receptionist was very rude and racist. She’s usually just in time. Students are earlier than her to arrive at the school, this just shows unprofessionalism. She talks so highly about herself… A year ago I parked in the lot close to the building as what my instructor told us. She arrived and said that I cannot park there. I told her it was what our instructor mentioned, she responded “Well I’m the receptionist, who are you, a student? You cannot park there.” OK. Well I’m a part of how they are paying you.

Taking HCA Program at Robertson College was such a great learning experience and I had no regrets of doing it there. The staff and admin were nice and professional. It was a wonderful and fun journey meeting my advisors, teachers and classmates. I remember there were free pancakes/breakfast even for us, evening class on one occasion. The one thing that I appreciated most was I was even encouraged to inquire in other schools to see the difference. With Robertson College, I didn’t feel I was recruited just because of commission or referral fee.

Very welcoming, great environment though i was able to visit only for 2 months and then covid hit but the faculty has always been so helpful and understanding. Awesome teachers with different teaching techniques. I hated Numbers all my life and i did not know how i would do with the virtual class, but the teaching technique of every teacher has been so amazing and actually astonishing in how much effort they put in to you to make sure that you are understanding, they are even willing to give you one on one class to make sure that you are understanding. Right from the application process to the last day of the program there was constant help and encouragement. Through the lab skills and in time class was very rewarding. I could never recommend Robertson College to someone in good conscience. The Edmonton campus is very obviously a for-profit agency with little concern for students. For almost the entire duration of the course we worked out of modules and the only time the instructor spoke to us was to review answers, which she read straight from the book. Unlike other colleges I have attended, the instructor did not teach the material, rather opting to have the textbook do the work. When it came time for our practicum, the facility we were placed in did not actually allow us to practice the majority of our skills learned in class. I posted a review on this website of the school, which was discovered by the campus director. She came to the class to ask students to come forward. I confronted the campus director regarding the issue. In anger, she offered me a full refund of tuition and gave me only two hours to decide. I decided to take the refund. Later that day (an hour after I went home), I called to ask that she forward me recognition of her previous statement in written form. She then told me, word for word: “if I have to lose my job over this, you will have to take down your review”. I was shocked at this behaviour. I said “I didn’t think it was necessary for anyone to lose their job over this”, to which she started panicking and telling me “forget I ever said that! I’m so sorry, you can have your refund!”. She asked that I “take her word” that she would provide the refund, in leui of proper documentation, to which I declined. Halfway through my practicum, I was removed and told I was being investigated. The investigation took a week. In the meantime, the college would not tell me why I was being investigated by the facility. When it came time for my meeting, they only gave vague details and said that staff members had issues with me. I had received nothing but positive feedback from my Robertson instructor who was supervising the practicum. My classmates were shocked. I was able to make up my lost practicum hours via my work hours; however, I believe that the investigation was handled improperly. I never received paperwork regarding the claims made. I finally have my certificate, and have applied to over 100 different health care aide positions in the city. I was promised that I would be able to work for Alberta Health Services with this certificate, but I have been sorely disappointed. I was once informed by an employer that they were hesitant to accept me due to the poor quality of Robertson College graduates; however, they liked my previous volunteer experience. Please avoid this school and choose another institution. This school does not provide quality education.

Kelly Opitz the national student advisor went above and beyond her duty. I decided to take HCA course a week or two before the starting date and she helped me the best of her ability to get in. Also returned part of the Alberta funding meant to pay for her course so now we need to come up with 2 thousand dollars just so she can receive a certificate. Avoid this college, no support from teachers, always trying to lower your grade, no support from student support and all they think is money, before you pay they are very nice and after you paid nobody knows you since they got paid. When you contact them they will say it is serious put it in writing and email it to investigate but after sending emails no one bother to answer you because they can not answer it since it is true. If you study online after you finish you no longer have access to your online books despite of the facts you paid for the books.

I was felt no pretensions on the people I encountered from the front desk, course adviser and student account adviser. They are very open how are they going to support my studies from the start until the end. I feel that I made the right choice to take a course at Robertson. There are questions and inquiries I need to raise but it was always attended and accommodated by the persons-in-charge from the lessons, course materials and even internship. I can still sense it that as if I am studying in school physically. But, I only have one concern, for the course that I am taking, I think they should consider to have a few real laboratory activities at school. At the beginning, I had a bad experience with the Workforce team as no one would answer my emails or calls for a week and a half. After getting frustrated, I called another number and the lady said she would direct me to Tim Harrison - another Workforce member. Tim answered the phone immediately, was extremely apologetic, and offered to help with my resume and cover letter right away! Tim Harrison was absolutely phenomenal!! I am blown away by his professionalism and knowledge. I was very impressed that he came very prepared to our meeting by backing up his claims with research and statistics regarding my field. He went through everything one-by-one and with lots of details. He didn't miss anything! The meeting was scheduled for only an hour, but Tim wanted to make sure I was fully prepared for everything and answered all my questions- thus he took time to stay for an extra hour!! He never judged or sugarcoated anything because he wanted to give real advice. Tim was very passionate in the way he was talking and had an abundance of knowledge to share. The advice, tips, analogies, anecdotes, research, etc were all helpful! Before the meeting, I was anxious and didn't not know what expect (as this was my first resume/cover letter review), but at the end, I walked away feeling very confident! He was very polite, kind, funny, and welcoming. I highly recommend Tim Harrison from the Workforce Team - he will go above and beyond his duties to make sure you are prepared and successful.

I generallt enjoyed the on-line learning and most instructors were very challenging, supportive and informative. Howeever, for several courses we were left be self taught. Hopefully this was only a COVID issue. If you are thinking of going here for legal assistant make sure you continue to practice proof reading through all your classes, and if you get a course where you feel you are being asked to be self taught, ask for change if teacher or to have access to their video classes. Overall, doing studies online was informative and I do feel I learned alot, but I could have learned more, if not for the self taight sections.

I could not be happier with the education I received at Robertson College! I was in a dead end job and knew that it was just a matter of time before I would be laid off. I was feeling depressed and did not know what to do, my future looked very uncertain. Then a friend told me that she is going back to school and I knew I have to do the same. I contacted Robertson College and the lady that I met on my first visit to the school was very patient with me while I tried to figure out what career I should go into. I knew I wanted to work in healthcare as the economy will never impact this field, so I enrolled in the Medical assistant program. My time in school was challenging, but only because of how much there is to learn. The teacher and the rest of the staff were very supportive and I graduated with honors. My four weeks practicum was at a busy doctor's office and on my last day of practicum I was offered a job. Since then I had a few Robertson students do their practicum at my clinic and everybody said that they enjoyed their time in school. Experience is pretty good with online college. I wish it was more full time work friendly. Extending the course a little bit so it's less work load. Doing one lesson at a time instead of 3. One lesson usually consists of like 15 quizzes each plus 5-10 simulations. It makes my work/personal life out of balance and its fairly stressful.

I really enjoyed my experience, my favourite thing about the college are the small class size and compressed course loads. So be prepared for lots of home work. Rhonda and Bonnie were so inspirational and two teachers that have a passion for their jobs. The other teachers i had were good but, did not have the same passion. Robertson sees you as a person not a number, like some of the bigger institutions. The downfall of the facility are a small cafeteria, no study space and no wi-fi. But they do provide computers for you to use during class. All text books are included to borrow during a course, so no text books to buy. They are a growing college who sometimes seem disorganized but NAIT was no better.

I thought the VOTA program incorporated all the information we needed to start this career. It was unfortunate that I went to school during covid as I missed the hands on training and vet clinic visits. Our instructor did a great job with finding alternate ways to teach these hands on classes like having us produce a video demonstrating an animal restraint or arranging for a virtual visit. Due to covid, I had to do the practical project instead of an in person practicum. I think including the project before the practicum would be beneficial as the project brought together all the information we received during the 8 months of instructions.

What a joke. Money grab. Courses designed to be impossible to fail if you turn up, this increases the % of students that pass. All the IT courses can be found at voucherplex.com for about 5% the cost of Robertson. They literally take 3rd party teaching programs found online and sell you them for a massive markup. The only benefit is you get a teacher who first reads the text to you, so you can then go and watch the 3rd party teaching programs (which are well prepared, with animations etc). I will be starting the Veterinary Office and Technical Assistant program at the brand new campus on Memorial Drive in December. I've tried programs at other traditional post-secondary institutions but I never felt that those programs were right for me. At 40 years old, I'm seeking a career that doesn't just pay well, but that also brings a smile to my face and makes a difference in this world! I also need a program that doesn't waste my time and money on filler courses or multi-year degrees that may or may not help me land a job after graduation. I need a program that is under a year and that will enable me to acquire the necessary skills to gain employment immediately after graduation. I believe that the VOTA program at Robertson College meets these requirements. The staff at Robertson College have been welcoming, compassionate and extremely helpful during the admission and post-admission process. I don't feel like just another student, like I did at other schools. I believe that Robertson College truly cares about students and wants all students to succeed, both academically and personally. I'm also impressed by the new school as it is bright, well-organized and in a great location, especially for students that rely on public transportation. I know that Robertson College may not seem like the obvious or first choice for post-secondary education but if you are looking for a school where you will receive real-world/useful skills and are appreciated, then Robertson College is for you! I cannot wait for December!!! ***UPDATE: I completed the program (August 2020) and will graduate with honors! It was a lot of hard work, but my teacher made the course material interesting and fun! I'm now working full-time as a Veterinary Receptionist ????

Robertsons materials were so helpful in the learning of the my specific class, as well as the instructors were so helpful and were the right people for the job. I know this was the first year for Covid, so it was all online and different but it could’ve been a bit more organized and let everybody know what was happening. For example we had a question about an upcoming event so we asked our instructor but she didn’t know because School wasn’t very good at informing or keeping in touch. But this was stressful times, all in all I had a lot of fun and learned lots.

The programs are overpriced considering the quality of the material. Instructors constantly remind you of the importance of spell checking your work and then you find many mistakes in their work including links that no longer work or lead you to information that isn't relevant anymore, so you have to remind them to look at their work. Some classes offer material that is gotten off the internet for free and we are still charged for the class! Advisors response to my learning disability was "I think we all have a bit of that these days" I had to leave class because my child cut his head in daycare and the instructors response was "this is the only day I will be providing this material" as if that was more important than taking my child to the hospital. The only good thing about Robertson is Eoin in accounting who is a wealth of knowledge.

My instructor Nicole made the 8 months at Robertson college bearable, Sucks the Vota course was such a bust and waste of time and money, Bonnie is another amazing lady there, while i attended Robertson College Both managers Sarah and Ramona bullied me, and were very rude and singling me out for having a medical perception, I felt so uncomfortable going there my grades even started to slip.. as well the financial department there is a mess, very unprofessional, and very disorganized. I am not the only person who took this VOTA course who very displeased with the School i hope they will speak up as well and let people know!

I went to the Edmonton location in the Network System Administrator course, and it was a complete joke the teacher we started with was great and knew what he was doing when it came to the IT world, when they fired him and replaced they picked a guy who could not fix a computer if his life depended on it, he has yet to teach us anything in the 5 months of him being here and sits on his computer for the majority of class of just isn't in class. As for the course work I am doing it is TestOut a american program for one student it costs around 900$ and it can all be yours for the low price of 15K. The school preys on the Ill informed or just down on their luck. If you are looking to join the IT world save yourself money and buy the Comptia A+ book on amazon (which I had to do to supplement) and challenge the test yourself and save 14,500$ DO NOT GO HERE IT IS A SCAM

I've took a course in Robertson college for 8 months and for the 7 months I've been in the school I have not missed a single day. Trying my hardest to show up everyday, but as soon the last month arrived I missed one week of school due to mental issues the school has built up and I'm on the brink of getting kicked out like that... So basically I showed up for pretty much majority of the time I spent in this college but missing one week to deal with a mental brings me to the edge of getting kicked out of class? that is just messed up. I paid big money to this school and they decide to throw away someone that went there every single day like that, shows me that they care little but money. I don't recommend this school to anyone at all.

Stereotypical racist and discriminatory advertisements relative to the types of people they aim to attract. (Note, I tried to Google the email and phone number of the president of this college prior to posting, in order to give them an opportunity to change their advertising, but the information for their president, vice-president, and administrators is not on line. ..though it would be for most other reputable colleges) I learned about the college while viewing TV on December 4, 2017. On one hand, the advertisement portrayed 'non-Caucasion' heavily accented people from countries outside of Canada whose qualifications in their country of origin wasn't accepted in Canada (a woman: "I was a nurse from the Philippines but here I can't be a nurse right away", and a man whose "degrees were not assessed right away"), while on the other hand in the same advertisement depicted a Caucasian Canadian mother who was happy for the short course because she had "2 young daughters she had to raise". The racist discriminatory stereotypes lie in the fact that the advertisement doesn't acknowledge there are as well a proportionate amount of "Caucasian immigrants " coming to our country from European countries who equally don't have their degrees recognized and who as well have strong accented language (be they from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Italy,...). One would think that this so named "college" would in this 2017 be cognizant of the importance of striking a balanced representation in portaying people equally regardless of their 'color' knowing that immigrants coming from most countries have issues with cross country qualified certifications, and equally mothers of all races BORN AND RAISED IN CANADA could be depicted as having to stay at home to raise their child. IT'S 2017!! LET'S NOT PERPETUATE RACIAL DISCRIMINATORY STEREOTYPES! ! VERY DISHEARTENING! Note: I'm highly educated from universities in Canada, but am offended by this advertisement because it does perpetuate stereotypes of what an immigrant "looks like" whether or not the college intended that. One would think though that somebody high up in their payroll approved the ad!

This institution prepares its students for success, their Healthcare Aide Program is fast paced but the instructors are knowledgeable and helpful. My experience so far has been good, I definitely recommend Robertson College for any individual who wants to do the Healthcare Aide Course or any other course.

If you don't want to waste your money and your valuable time, please do NOT enroll in this school. They are only helpful in collecting your money and they know that if even if you don't pay up, they can push you to "Tax Collectors". They are not bothered whether you complete your programme or not. I was enrolled in the Network Systems Administrator course, and I was extremely disappointed with the quality of education. The course costs around $15k and they just sit you in front of a laptop and have you go through testout modules. All the testout modules cost $900 and anyone can purchase them. The instructor has little to no IT experience and has no teaching experience. He hasn't taught us a single thing. If we ever ask him a question he asks us to just google it. The overall experience has been horrible. The only take away I had from the school is that I made a couple of new friends for 15k. Would not recommend, totally for profit school that has zero desire for student success.

If I could go any lower than a one star I would. As a mother and a Rn I am very troubled of what this college is letting in their front doors. Sarah Kozoriz a nurse's aide was heard and seen giving bad medical advice to my son misdiagnosing his symptoms. She is not a doctor nor is she a RN and its unethical of what she is doing. My second complaint is towards Shane Orgill , Sarah Kozoriz's "fiance" His sexual advances and comments are not needed or wanted and I would appreciate that he keep his comments to himself and that Robertson College takes some sort of action or Responsibility to where he is thrown out of the college . As it stands Both of my kids are looking at going to Norquest college to get away from these people

In the beginning I was nervous about taking the HCA course but my instructor was amazing. She is professional and thorough in her teaching abilities and friendly as well and very helpful when needed.
