Hi everyone, I am going to join this college next month. After seeing reviews of you all i am so confused that is this campus really the worst place in canada? I be so glad if any of the lethbridge student will tell me something true and more about this college. Thank u..
LC - Civil Engineering Technologist Course: (2019-2021) At Lethbridge college it's one of the most challenging courses once could opt for and I signed up for it. Instructors : They are immensely knowledgeable and make class a fun place to be. ( Special thanks to Mark Bohnert) Course Load : If the program were to completed in two (2) years , you will be registered for six courses per semester. The challenge scale rises with each semester. Hand-on experience : Land survey , Use of GPS & Total Station. Software : Autodesk - Basic CAD , Autocad 3D , Civil 3D (MAJOR PART OF THE COURSE ) , Revit , Storm CAD , Water CAD , Infrastructure , Culver Master are the softwares taught throughout the course. Math : If you are weak at math , first & second semester would be bit challenging. By the time you reach third and fourth - you are expected to know it all. ( Dr. Sampath is the best bet to learn math) College : TAC accredited meaning the diploma is recognized all over Canada. Final Project : It's better to start early and pick a topic and from the right team. A good project always gets the recognition . ( My teams project bagged 3rd place all over Canada in the TAC contest). Summer Gig : Latest job posting for summer are available on college facebook pages and personally emailed to you. The earlier you apply the better the chances are. After Graduation : Some might transfer to Lakehead / UBC /U Calgary. I personally had many interviews and more than a couple job offer after graduating. Annual Market Pay for Technologist ( Trainee) is between $ 35,000 to & $75,000. Overall experience : Great Atmosphere , Value for Money and great employment opportunities.
An excellent centre of learning in Lethbridge with all safety standards.
I highly recommend you do not enroll with Lethbridge college during covid 19, or at all for that matter. I just finished my first semester, and two of my classes were run in the most insane way possible considering we are in the middle of a pandemic. For those two classes: I was expected to have 100% attendance, major exams and quizzes were announced IN CLASS and not posted on the schedule until the day of. I complained to the assistant dean of my program and I was just told "yeah that is how we do things." Most of my professors weren't this ridiculous, but lethbridge college policy allowed for some seriously unethical practices. just go somewhere else, if I could go back I would without a doubt enroll elsewhere
Mega EMT course. Very knowledgeable instructors that give 100%. Very cool course to do.
Lethbridge College is a good post secondary institute, a growing atmosphere that is constantly getting better. Athletics also seems to be on the rise at LC. The student social life is acknowledged as a good experience by other fellow alumni.
I was just wasting time and money. The worst experience ever.
Lethbridge College can help you reach your goals. Lethbridge College graduates are sought by employers throughout Alberta and across Canada.
My academic education has been effected. This is because in the 4th wave. My choice was either withdraw or attend the college in person. (My options were limited and multiple different departments couldn't help me after the restrictions were announced)
This was a great place to learn, with supportive staff and professors as well as smaller class sizes.
I take addmition here but i do not know about college
hii......i am international student .....i choose this college....pls someone tell me about it please????
I've attended Lethbridge College from 2010 to 2013. Learning at the college was excellent! Instructors and programs are committed and designed to foster the success of the student. I've got nothing but positive things to report from my experience studying here!
Really special..
The teachers here are incredible and so is the staff! I recommend it to anyone that wants to learn and have a great college experience!
Graduate of CIT. Great facility!
Hi, I try to contact nobody response on time , while they accept phone call , they speaks very rude and try to disconnect the call asap , which is not good they have to listen students problems , because we pay money for study , they don’t respond properly and not listen to students, very disappointed . Thanks
Very competent and caring staff.
This Lethbridge College and the Professors in the Interior Design Technology helped me to discover my passion for designing and decorating interior spaces. The program is an excellent program and gave the tools I needed to start my dream career. Cherie & Naama are the best teachers!! IDT Class of 2019
People from afar come 4 schooling here!
Working here is great! Great staff and lots of opportunity. The student experience is also quite respected
A great college with some amazing programs. Darren Gugyelka and other staff who have worked with us took their 1st step here at the college.
Awesome place to be . study well comrades. Back to Kenya.
My time at Lethbridge Community College were some of the best of my schooling years. When I moved to Lethbridge for school, it was my first time away from home and the school community was very welcoming. I was enrolled in the Renewable Resource Management program in the late 90's and live in the dorms. The program was very diverse and the practical experience was amazing and has provided me with lasting memories of spending time in the southern Alberta area,, the Cypress Mountains, and the Crowsnest Pass. I have made lasting friendships and memories from my time at LCC. I was recently passing through Lethbridge to go skiing at Fernie and I made a point of stopping at the school to show my daughter some of my favorite spots. Great memories.
I loved my time as a student at Lethbridge College. The campus community is welcoming and amazing. My time in the Digital Communications and Media program prepared me for my future career and I am so incredibly happy I chose to attend LC.
Covid protocols on point
My experience here started off well but i felt the staff mentality and i struction become more about the design of a paper than the actual content of it.... that got worse once i entered one of the college’s degree programs. on top of this heavy disorganization among teaching staff in some cases not even pistong due dates or exams at all even on the due dates they do not give you.......
Hello I was at the College today for the open house . I would just like to say wow what a lovely job . We where given a tour buy a lady from Souris Manitoba. Not sure of her name but wow what a great job at showing us around and telling us about the college. She is a treat to listen to. Its nice to hear from a person that really does care about the college. GREAT JOB !!!!!!!!! I hope some one reads this and gives her a pat on the back. Well done MANITOBA.
I give 5 stars to Melissa at the Financial Aide desk. She was happy, pleasant, very knowledgeable AND she helped me fill pit my appilication for financial assistance. Told me if i had any other questions dont hesitate to come back. She was great! However, Sofia (also at the finicail aide desk) was aweful. I asked her if she could help me with the application. She told me that if i didnt have my laptop with me she coildnt help me? But she showed me the steps on how to do it(with not actually filling the application out) on her computer. I dont understand why she couldnt just help me fill it out? Is that not what her job is? So i went home, and tried to fill out the application online. I ran into a few issues, and I didn't understand (having never applied for financial aide before). So i called Sofia and asked her what i was suppose to do. In which is replied, because i had never applied for financial assistance before, that i couldnt do it online and that i needed to print out the paper copy and apply that way. I really wish she would have told me that while i was at rhe college, so i could have printed it out there, because i dont have printer at home. And now i just wasted an entire day. So PLEASE , anyone applying for financial assistance, deal with Melissa or the gentleman and not Sofia. Side note, the ladies at the Registrar Office are very cold, not friendly at all. Heads up!

This was an excellent school to go to for criminal justice. I have lived on campus as well as online learning. Campus atmosphere was nice and felt like a community. The online learning was good with canvas being an excellent application to learn on. The material was relevant for going into a career in a policing environment.
Our Local Community College !
I attended Lethbridge College in the early 1990’s, graduating with a diploma in Renewable Resource Management and a certificate in Fish and Wildlife Technology. Since graduating, I have worked in the Yukon Territories, Northwest Territories and Alberta as a fish and wildlife technician and as an environmental planner. The hands-on education and experience provided by Lethbridge College prepared me for an exciting and diverse career!
I was trying to go back to school and I couldnt call because of anxiety and service issues but as soon as I said I would withdraw they said we could do that for you.
I loved the time I had at Lethbridge College. Granted it was a very long time ago (Grad 92!!). It gave me a great basis and skills I still use today - for work and enjoyment!
Looks like they are trying to dilute all the overwhelmingly negative reviews they've received recently by contacting alumni for reviews. Or maybe they are just fake altogether. Appears desperate and hilarious.
Many entrances open and able to scan into clearly marked which way they want us to go and restricted areas everyone's very helpful
I am a student here and trust me you do not want to go to this college its a scam and the worst in the world. There is little or no content for when they want you to do an assignment, terrible staff that don't know anything all they do is pass you on to other people who don't care about you, they lie about requirements when it comes to tests and will deny exams even though you met all the requirements. They lie about due dates, they tell you there isn't a due date on some assignments then will randomly send a mail of a random due date. They need to do the world a favor an demolish this retarded institution that also has no professionalism here. They also have the most pathetic policies and ways in order to accomplish certain things that WILL cost you extra money. They are nothing but a bunch of con artists which probably explains how the staff got their jobs. Whatever you do don't waste your time and money here. Its a terrible SCAM here
I'm an international student and i loved to study there. A lot of teachers were really taking care of us and helped us to succeed.
Although I graduated almost ten years ago, I can still remember the excellent instructors, the friendly faculty, and the support systems in place for students.
Horrible college. The students that go here are cliquey and rude. Instructors and staff are often condescending and will belittle you if you aren't sure what you need for requirements. There are a few good staff but they're outnumbered by bad ones. If you ever have any emotional distress, they'll offer you counselling with some off campus company that's also dismissive of your issues. The counsellor on campus will relate your very personal issues to school stress which is very belittling as well. I honestly don't know if this college is worse or better than others. I'll just be happy when I'm done and out of here.
Highly recommened.
Small college. Wouldn’t go here, Red Deer University College is better! Choose RDUC
is this college provides work permit?
class of 2000! Great school and well operated. Couldnt be happier with the education that i received and the career start it gave me. Met many great people and lifelong friends there.
(Translated) Beautiful and under renovation, its people are warm and friendly at affordable prices :) (Original) Bonito y en renovación, su gente es cálida y agradable a precios accesibles :)
So I waitlisted for the heavy equipment technician class and today I got a call but I was on the phone with a coworker who had a problem with his truck brakes so I couldn't just hang up on him so 2 minutes later I called lethbridge college back and they had already called the next guy on the list. And it's not like the class was starting the next day they still had 6 days. Unbelievable
Great small community college!
I had the joys of going to Lethbridge college. The professors are so nice and want you to succeed. They are friendly as well. All the best future students. Landon Nilsson 2020 grad of correctional studies.
An excellent centre of learning in Lethbridge with all safety standards.
Disappointed we are doing mandatory vaccinations. As such the college is inconveniancing students by forcing them to go through only a few exits. Locking all other doors. There is a better way to do this.
Went to the Garden Court for lunch. We enjoyed our meal.
Can't believe you are forcing your students to be injected with poison or leave the College! What happened to freedom of choice and the right to refuse medical treatment?
Don't go to this college for Cooking program unless you really want to pay tuition for the opportunity to work for free at College cafeteria and restaurant. Professor will treat you like employee or slave, not a student. What you get is just yelling and order to follow. They always say " Don't stop working, always try to find something to work". Is it school or company?
I don't recommend this school for anyone, at least for certain programs. I wanted to take the natural compliance program and the coordinator was extremely disrespectful. She highly encouraged that I shouldn't even attempt it, that I should try a different program and change careers. They are very difficult to get in contact with compared to other schools. I understand that this is a highly competitive program, but the attitude and disrespect was uncalled for. Parking is a nightmare. This place does not care if you succeed or fail.
I was trying to register to get my 4th year plumbing done I'm from out of town and they dont offer it in my hometown so I called lethbridge and it turns out they offered me to come but I'd have to drive to lethbridge from fort mcmurray once a week for the shop portion of class! This leads me to the question of is that even safe for someone to be doing that? The class sizes are more than 10 people! And to have students driving from all over the province to meet up once a week seems seriously irresponsible! Other schools have made better efforts to help reduce the spread of disease and death! And to make the school as safe as possible for the students! I fear your school is acting as a superspreader! The alberta government needs to do something to make it so albertans can safely continue their education! You say you have a safety program? Well what good does that do when u are inviting kids to show up untested from all over the province once a week for a shop class where u cant work alone! You people should be sued!
Growing atmosphere that is constantly getting better. Athletics also seems to be on the rise at LC. The student social life is acknowledged as a good experience, COVID protocol

i want to study there soon!
Most horrible college in Canada, They don't care about students , just money matter for them. Mostly instructors are racist .
This is a terrible college. They charge you top dollar for the ECE program to be taught by teachers who don't even comprehend basic English. Honestly, it must be a running joke among them that the English teacher can barely speak it. I highly recommend going anywhere else for the ECE program or English class. Aswell, they waited until after the refund date to mandate the vaccines so you're forced to either walkway without your money and the education you paid for, or get the vaccine.
Teachers gave me prejudice attitude in the class room. Often trying to make my answers appear un-knowledgeable about the stuff being taught. Testing had condescending attitudes too. I went into a prep course just to test the waters with this school. I really didn't like the way I was treated. Don't waste your money here. It isn't quality education with the unprofessional attitudes they have here. I started to consider the idea they weren't being honest with my grades. That's what it comes down to. Why pay thousands on an education when the staff here doesn't take what they do here seriously? I will be glad I don't have LCC on my resume. At least I have time to find a college that doesn't take a racist approach to their teaching curriculum.
absolutely the worst experience possible. The admin staff are incompetent and screwed up sending my transcript to another school which cost me my seat. The Alberta works department was unprofessional and deliberately horrible. the school itself was disturbingly gross, the bathrooms are a bio-hazard. The natives are outright rude to white people. out of 5 instructors, i had one great one, 3 that did their jobs but that's it and one who should have been shot out of a cannon into a cactus. the parking is horrible, 99% of the people were trashy and there is a huge drug problem at this school.... all in all. worst experience ever!!!
I did my diploma in engineering at LC and liked my time there. Landed a career afterwards so I would say my education investment was well worth it. Most instructors in the engineering faculty are down to each, practical, and easy to approach.
I plan on applying this year but this reviews are just something else please can someone tell me the truth about the vaccination policy because if they are forcing students to take the vaccines then I just have to look for another college or university to study in canada please I need students to answer me and thanks
