I'm currently just finishing the student success strategies. I really like the class and the things I have learned about goals and dealing with stress. The teacher is great! very friendly and uplifting. happy I got to participate in this course, very beneficial.
When I first started at CDI I didn’t want to go to college. I was going because I still lived at home and my parents said I either had to pay rent or go to college. So I picked a close and convenient one with a program I could be interested in. I ended up loving all of it. My Instructor Kathy made it an awesome class to take. She made our learning experience into an active one, between the role plays, the tours, and the realistic examples in class I felt prepared when I started my job at The Calgary Drop In Centre. I am very glad I went to CDI College and that I had the pleasure of being taught by Kathy!
I am almost done with my ACSW program and now doing my practicum thanks to my instructor Kathy DuGray who was an exceptional instructor with great knowledge in the field. Kathy prepares you for the real world which l am already experiencing in my practicum. Her classes are always interesting and fun even during Covid when we had to take online classes. My experience in her class was excellent and would highly recommend her to anyone interested in the ACSW program at CDI college.
I am just about to graduate the ACSW course. The instructor, Kathy makes this course. She is highly knowledgeable in the field and draws upon her own life experiences to prepare us in working with the vulnerable population. Her passion for the industry is infectious. She cares about her students, is prompt in returning any questions regarding the course material (which was sometimes difficult to navigate) , and she really takes the time to set you up for success. Thanks to Kathy my experience at CDI is one I wont forget.
I don't know about you guys but im enjoying my program at CDI. My instructors have been pretty helpful with providing feedback to all of our projects and they seem to know what they are doing. Though....sometimes their feedback is kind of harsh haha.
CDI is the academic equivalent of putting lipstick on a pig. If you’re smarter than me and decided to read reviews before enrolling, let me tell you why you shouldn’t. I enrolled in the Network Systems Administrator course in the summer of 2015 (1-year program) at the CDI South location (Midnapore). I interviewed a couple different schools. This one was the most convenient location for me. The admissions “recruiter” at the time, a guy named Floyd, was on me like a used car salesman the moment I showed them interest. He made a huge hype about how high their success rates and hire rates and certifications perks were. He literally promised the world and said that their staff was there to support and guide us - especially since it was a smaller school community and a lot of students with no post-secondary experience. So where do I start. It’s going to have to be a bullet list so you’re not here reading all day. Brace yourself! • The tablet that comes with the course (and is how you access your text books) took almost a month to get. I had to keep reminding them that I paid for it and desperately needed it for my studies • That admissions “recruiter” was fired a month into my course for stealing the $100 cash deposits paid by students – mine included – and the school tried to sweep it under the rug by adding that $100 back to my bill! • I was told there would be hands-on training with actual networking equipment, instead it was all lab simulators that I could have just done from home. I never once saw or touched a switch or router! • Our instructor had a heavy language barrier, then he quit half way through the year only to be replaced by someone with an even heavier language barrier! • At the start of the course there was enough workstations for all the students. By the end people were bringing their own laptops and working from the back of the class because they oversold their spaces in the class • We were promised “vouchers” to take the certification exams of the courses we studied (Microsoft, Cisco and CompTia). When the course was finished, we were told they no longer gave vouchers for the Microsoft exams and that they stopped doing that “years ago” • Getting the remaining vouchers was like pulling teeth! It took me 6 months after completing the course for someone to finally figure out how to even get the vouchers, let alone get them to me • If I hadn’t called in a favor from a family friend, I would never have gotten into a practicum and passed, and I would have student loans demanding their money back • The testing centre for the exams is the CDI North location and they literally stick you in a broom closet at the reception area with a broken chair and an old crappy computer. It’s noisy, filthy and incredibly hard to focus • We were JUST informed of our grad ceremonies: this June, more than a year after completing. • I have one exam left that I had booked for tomorrow. I’ve been preparing for it for months. I booked the time off work and made arrangements. I just got an email from Pearson Vue (the company that handles the exams for them) that they were cancelling me for tomorrow. When I called the north CDI to ask why, all the girls could say was “uuuuuh… like, I don’t know. Like I think we just found out and like, are gonna take the day off or something. Like…” I could go on with experiences but I’ll wrap it up. Don’t waste your time or money. This was a huge investment not only for myself, but for my wife and kids as well. These experiences have caused so much stress and strife in our lives! The organization as a whole is unprofessional, cheap and only interested in getting your money! Most of the staff is not qualified to do their jobs and they will make promises they can’t keep (if they even work there long enough to have the opportunity to let you down). I’m incredibly disappointed, I communicated these levels of disappointment with them all throughout and never saw changes. Their entire focus and budget is spent on recruiting. Go to SAIT.
I can’t express how grateful I am to Chelsey Taylor of CDI south campus. Since day one of my application to the HCA program she has been very accomodating and supportive until I finally got in the program. Indeed, she’s such a wonderful academic advisor.
Thank you to my instructor Ms. Carol Aguilar, helps me a lot to learn and be knowledgeable all throughout course.
I am almost done with my course as a Medical Office Administration (MOA) at CDI South Campus. And for my experience, at first, I was very skeptical because I don’t have any medical background and also this is my post-secondary course. I graduated as a Financial Management in my country. But one thing I like when I got to know my teacher when she said, ``It doesn’t matter if you have no medical background. You came here to learn. This will be your training and after you finished this, you’ll find a good job.” I was surprised that she said that. Not all teachers will give you a boost to take this program, but she did. Dr. Veny's teaching methods are great. She teaches us base on her experienced as a doctor. She teaches us briefly so that we can easily understand every lesson she gave to us. She is fun in teaching also, so that we don’t get bored and make the lesson more interesting. If we found our studies very difficult she tends to help us to make it easier. She gives us guidelines in our study, give us more time to review before we start our quizzes. I was happy to find a teacher as new resident here in Calgary that will guide and help me to achieve my goals near future. She will be one of my inspiring teachers, and for sure not only me, but many of us will spread a word about her. On how good Dr. Veny is a Medical Office Administration (MOA) instructor. Lucky for the school to have an excellent instructor. So therefore, I highly recommended to take this program as a Medical Office Administration (MOA) at CDI South Campus. It’s worth and a great experience.
Dr. Veny is the absolute best teacher you could ever have! If you are looking into taking the Medical Office Administration course with CDI college you must enroll at this location. Dr. Veny's experience and teachings in the Medical industry with greatly advance you over any other colleges offering this program! Dr. Veny truly cares about your education and will take the time you need to help you fully understand and help guide you through any difficulties you might have. I highly recommend this course at CDI Calgary South (Midnapore location). Trust me you won't regret it!
I have learned a lot and was glad I took the MOA course here at CDI-South. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. They are true to their promise that they will help you find a job in your field of study. All the teachers are great, supportive and push you to succeed especially VENY, our core subjects instructor who is an experienced medical doctor. She is well-equipped and knowledgeable to teach students with or without medical background. She has her way of encouraging you to study and to apply what you have learned. She has the kind heart of a mother-teacher who inspires her students to achieve their highest potential. I definitely recommend this school! CDI-South, you ROCK!!!
I took the ACSW course and my instructor Kathy was amazing she always made class fun but kept the lessons serious. Kathy would always go above and beyond with helping all of the students with test scores studying and any questions we had. She helped me get my practicum when the practicum advisor was close to no help Kathy helped me out and got me numerous interviews, even after I graduated she pushed me to go for jobs she was an amazing teacher.
Our instructor Jonelle Reid is highly qualified to teach this course. She is actively working in the Addictions field as she is teaching. She keeps the class engaged & makes virtual learning fun.
I've been attending CDI College for the past 7 months, and I must say my experience has been nothing less than exceptional. Kathy has been my teacher and I'd like to say its been such an honor being taught by her, I feel like she really connects with us students and makes an effort to make sure we all understand. If we are in a heavy course she leaves the door open at all times if we need to talk and I really respect her for that. It will definitely be bittersweet finishing up in the Addictions Counselling and Social Worker Program but I know after all my training that I will definitely make an impact in whatever I decide to do thanks to her and CDI College. 100% Recommend
I just recently enrolled at CDI in the Addictions and Community services program and so far my experience has been great. My first experience with instructor Amir Sheikh has been great. He was informative, takes the time to make sure you fully understand all course materials and any questions receive a very quick response whether during class and after. I would definitely recommend CDI.
I am an MOA student and almost done with my program. My experience with CDI Calgary South campus has been satisfying. My instructor Dr. Veny is the best. She is very patient and knowledgeable in the medical field, and her experience and teaching techniques make learning so much easier. Thank you Dr. Veny for your support and positive impact. The staff at the south campus are all so friendly and professional. I highly recommend CDI Calgary South.
Change is the only permanent thing in this world. With what is happening around us right now, we need to learn how to adapt to the new normal. The Covid-19 has changed our lives and our future. Personally, life became stressful, and it became harder to look for a job. This is the point in my life that I have decided to study. Well, going back to school once again is a bit scary. I am not sure if this is the right decision. But, I know the change I want can only happen if I will pursue an education that will give me a big chance to be accepted in the Canadian workforce. Choosing a school is also very important. I am very fortunate to find CDI South and I am now enrolled for MOA course. I don't have any background in Medical field. But the Course Materials were presented in an organized manner and easy to understand method of teaching by no other than Dr. Veny. Shanmugam. She's awesome!!! She is very professional and strict in a good way. She always explained her lessons well and make sure that we understand them fully. She emphasized the importance of each subject matter not only for future work but also their importance on our daily lives. I am so happy to have Dr. Veny as my instructor, for helping me to build a solid foundation on Medical Terms. She never failed to encourage each one of us to have a positive perspective in life and to never feel so stressed out. She's like a very supportive mother and treats us as her children. She inspires me more every day to study and just enjoy the new knowledge she's imparting to us. God knows how grateful I am to know Dr. Veny and be a part of my life. Thank you very much for everything. What I have learned from you is PRICELESS! I am also grateful to have wonderful classmates, who became my dear friends. You all made my day sweet and lighter!!! I highly recommend CDI South if you're considering to go back to school. This is your chance to meet our awesome instructor, Dr. Veny in case you decide to take MOA course as well. Going back to school is a Perfect Plan B to change your life for the better!!! Go for it!!!!
I am very thankful that I continue my study with CDI College Calgary South. I am very much thankful to Doc Veny who never get tired of reminding me to do well in everything. She was one of the best teacher I encounter my whole life. During the time that I wanted to quit she encourage me not to give up. Thank you so much for all the advices and sharing her knowledge with us. Thank You so much CdI.
CDI has an awesome instructor named Kathy who's very straightforward, knowledgeable and understanding. Being out of school for over 20yrs and some. CDI was the right choice.
Amir was a great instructor, super friendly, extremely encouraging.
I am currently enrolled in MOA class. I had a second thought of taking this course as I don't have any background on Medical language, but my instructor, VENY, is a great help. She is so knowledgeable and well experienced with what she's teaching. Happy and grateful to be in her class.
I had great luck with my experience with CDI. Chelsey was great in helping me get the information and assistance in the course I was interested in. It made the transition to a student so much easier. Thank you so much.
Went back to school for an ACSW program. I visited all 3 Calgary locations before choosing. I chose the campus that happened to be the farthest and least convenient from where I live based on the teaching style and experience of the instructor. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The instructor and the practicum placement specialist both go the extra mile to make sure you have the knowledge and skills needed and that the practicum placement is right for you. It’s a private career college so it can be a bit pricey. The schedule and the length of the program make it less intimidating and it can help build your confidence and get you back in the mindset of you’re thinking about returning for a University program. Alberta and Canada student loans are available. Sadly, you won’t qualify for a Spotify student discount as it’s not on their list of qualifying institutions. I recommend it if you’re looking to change careers and go back to school but not certain you want to commit to doing a full undergrad or Graduate degree program. Recruitment was pretty pro-active which is great if you’ve got a busy schedule and you need a bit of extra motivation. There’s plenty of free parking and good options near by and if you like thrift stores, there’s s Value Village in the same building.
I graduated from CDI College - Calgary South back in August. And I must say, I loved the ACSW program. I initially had decided on a different location, but due to the raving review of the instructor I chose to go to CDI South. It was not a let down at all. Though the program itself was great, it was through the added knowledge from the instructor, the tours she set up for us, and the style of teaching she has that I got an incredible education. From that education, I was able to complete a practicum I really enjoyed and now am working full time in a permanent position at an awesome non-profit in Calgary doing something I really love! And it's all thanks to CDI! :)
As a student of ACSW in CDI college, Kathy DuGray as my lecturer has made and is still making my experience incredibly. I am very confident in recommending this course. Kathy you are the best. 5BIG STARS for you Kathy.
I'm just finishing up the acsw course that was taught by Kathy Dugray. Kathy is a great teacher and now friend. She's understanding, blunt and honest. I really enjoyed my course with her.
I am currently a student in the ACSW program. Kathy, is by far the greatest teacher I have ever had. She has a unique way of teaching that incorporates all of her knowledge from her experience in the field. Just through her methods of teaching she helps shape individuals as well as help them grow.
Great school! Great teachers! Sonia, Amir & Carol were some of the best professors I have ever worked with. Beyond thankful for their gratitude & patience while working with me! Highly recommend this school!
It took me 6 years to finally make the decision to go back to school, and I'm glad I went with CDI Calgary south. I was however nervous to meet my instructor. Would they be able to make the material relatable? Would it make sense? Would I be able to pick up what was being out down? Who wants to spend money on school if you dont like your instructor? After my first week I had absolutely no doubts about my schooling or even the career path I chose to take. I'm enrolled in the ACSW class (addictions and community service worker) and Kathy is seriously the best instructor for this course. Not only does she make the material relatable but shes an excellent source for networking. We're always out in the community learning about addictions based programs and resources. We are also the only post secondary school in calgary to offer FREE naloxone training. If you are wanted a career in the helping/addictions field. CDI Calgary south is the place to be!
I’ve been looking for a good school for MOA. And by far this is the best reviewed school I have seen. And by the time we’ve talked to Chelsey, that’s the time I am convinced that this is the best school I should go. Chelsey in my honest opinion is very approachable and really comfortable to talk to. She’s willing to help the best way she can. I am sure this school would give me the best of education I need to succeed.
I was fortunate enough to start this course under the guidance of Kathy DuGray which is the best possible start anyone could ask for. This course was recommended to me on the back of Kathy's excellent name and extensive knowledge and experience in this field. She is a font of knowledge both practical and academic and comes with years of experience. This type of knowledge doesn't come easy nor from text books and she brings so much value to our learning. If you get the opportunity to learn from Kathy then definitely grab it with both hands as you will enter the workplace armed with so much more than the basic curriculum as laid out by CDI.
I took the ACSW course at CDI south and I'll be honest I didn't know what to expect it was my first time attending post secondary, it was an intimidating situation. My first day turned out to be amazing and wasn't as intimidating as I was expecting it to be. I got in pretty quick and started schooling right away. My instructor was amazing, she taught in different ways which made it diverse, also so everyone could process the Knowledge. Because my instructor taught so well I was able to get a full time job right away after my practicum. This school helped me get ahead start with my passion of this field.
the instructors make the online experience an enjoyable one
I am almost done my training in ACSW course and I am happy with my experience here. I absolutely appreciate the way Kathy DuGray teaches her course. Kathy focuses on the important aspects of the course and provides real life experiences to prepare us for the field, keeps us on board with the programs intense and fast paced curriculum, and her sense of humor !!! I would highly recommend Kathy as an instructor for experience in human services.
Won't help my daughter get her practicum but want her money. Sad excuse for an education here. Terrible teachers and staff that don't care about your education
I will soon graduate from Addictions and Community Services Worker program at CDI South, Calgary. The program has been very intense but greatly satisfying. My instructor Kathy DuGray has taken us on field trips to various places in the city where we may end up working or referring our clients to, which was the best part of the program. Kathy has a very hands-on approach, she knows the field she is preparing us for, she knows what works and what doesn’t, and she focuses on what’s important. Kathy has worked in Calgary and she is teaching her students the reality of our city and province, where hopefully most of us will end up working.
They are worse they emailed me for job and they did interview and I got selected one of the hiring manager Told me you are selected etc etc and he gave me training start date after then I gave resignation at my current work before 1 day of my training they send me email that I am not selected and didn’t gave me any reason I tried to call them email nobody answer any calls or never got any email back from them THEY ARE WORSE THEN WORSE
Carol, is an amazing teacher, a nice person and very supportive. I enjoyed all part of Microsoft course and felt that she is very helping. Carol is knowledgeable, understanding and passionate about her subjects. Thanks for your dedication and support Carol.
It was a nice first week introduction. Enjoyed every minute of it. Looking forward for next week.
my experience has been amazing the teachers are very knowledgeable of the students and help out way more above and beyond our expectations
The MOA instructor Veny is excellent. She is very patient, informative and sweet. She's also hilarious. 10/10 would recommend to my friends.
CDI is a complete joke! All they care about is the money they get! They have screwed me over, a couple of times, and are now making it impossible for me to obtain my diploma. I started my practicum but ended up having a death in my family and they took me out of my practicum placement, which I had already started. I received a letter today stating I owe another $319.00 and I have 3 days to pay it or it is going to collections. Are you kidding me CDI?!
Fantastic instructors, wonderful delivery. Mr Amir was extremely supportive and helpful!
The admissions team are professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Ashlea - she has been so supportive from the time i enquired till the end of the enrolment process Jackelyn Remo - Student Aid application was a smooth process with her. Always ready to take up questions, even went out of her way to assist me even if i had to do some changes with my application. I am very excited to start the program next month!
I am almost done with my course as a Payroll and Accounting Administration at CDI South Campus. I am enjoying it. The staff and Instructors are excellent, especially Mrs. Sonia she is very helpful and she make sure that students are learning comfortably. So therefore, I highly recommended to take this program as a Payroll and Accounting at CDI South Campus. It’s worth and a great experience.
I am a student in the BDMM program, the majority of which has been taught by Sonia , she has gone above and beyond her duties as an instructor. She is super dedicated to all her students and genuinely cares how they do in and out of school. Her support has been invaluable and I will really miss her!
All i can say is studying at cdi south campus was one of the most best experiences in my life, this is my second course. B.S. Psychology was my first degree but it was in a foreign country, i took Accounting and Payroll at CDI, for almost a year believe me i wasn't easy. All my instructors were really informative and amazing and the other staffs were very helpful as well. From day 1 everybody was accommodating everything i needed and need to know was provided to me, of course it wasn't perfect all the time but it doesn't happen all the time. Overall i am really satisfied with this school and i would recommend them for sure.
I have been attending CDI College - Calgary North Campus and have had some classes at the CDI College - Calgary SOUTH Campus and I must say the teachers are absolutely amazing. I had Dr. Venny Shanmugam for my MOA program, she was so wonderful and helping with anything i needed, she took the time to make sure i unerstood anything i was confused about. I highly recommend the south campus!
I am currently enrolled in the Medical Office Administration (MOA) program at CDI College- South Campus. Through my study so far I am very pleased with my experience. My core instructor is Veny, she is not only driven and passionate about what she is teaching but she is also dedicated and goal-oriented around each individuals success in the course. Through these past few months I have felt nothing but positive feelings of motivation and encouragement. CDI South has been an amazing experience and I can't wait for what is to come. Thank you to all the faculty who have impacted me in some way, highly recommend!
My wife and I are cureently in our programs Medical Office Administrator and Logistics and Supply Chain Management, respectively. We had a great experience from registration, finance, and our courses. Cassandra Schulz, and Jackelyn Remo attended all the necessary information that we are concern about. Jackelyn helped us a lot in finance side and gave us idea regarding the scholarship that will be helpful to us. I would like to mention also, Carol Aguilar, as a very encouraging instructor by being so nice, and accomodating by showing the details of the course that I need to learn as she is very knowledeable of the subject matter. Hopefully, I am expecting for more good and enjoyable learning experience in our succeeding courses.
My experience with CDI College has been amazing, the teachers and staff are super knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful.
I haven’t been in school for almost 14 years, I didn’t know the steps to apply and the resources where to get help. Fortunately, I had Cassandra who was very helpful to make things more clear and providing me with answers to the many questions I asked. Sorry for being a pest haha, very friendly staff along with Jackelyn who was a pleasure as well yo help me with my financial stuff. Overall my experience has been wonderful and very professional. I was weary at first because of a few reviews but in my views and opinion so far, everyone has been very helpful and very nice. My appreciation goes beyond words since I struggled with how gruelling the process would be in my head but they made it very easy and was such a relief. Thanks Cassandra and jackelyn!
im an MOA student, my experience here has been great and satisfactory , my teachers Nida Zaki and Carol Aguilar helped me a lot to finish my program, i really appreciate the help of the two of them. Thanks.
Currently enrolled in ACSW program at Calgary South. I feel privileged to have completed approximately half the program with Kathy DuGray. She is an amazing instructor who brings with her a load of experience from her years in the field. She is a great instructor! Anyone should feel blessed to have had her as an instructor!!
I am currently enrolled in the “Addictions & Community Support Worker”diploma program. With each completed module, I build on my natural skills by exploring my strengths and weaknesses. Learning how they might translate into the industry. I chose CDI for the smaller class sizes and more intimate learning environment. Unlike larger classrooms, there is more time for everyone to participate in class discussions and role playing. CDI is a school where you want to go to class early or where you want to stay behind late to collaborate with other students. I am finally following my passion and I could not imagine a better source of information, honesty, inspiration and guidance than what I have found in Kathy DuGray. She is a no holds barred, and honest instructor who offers a nuanced view of the industry. She is very intentional with her teaching and offers real life experiences and education to better prepare us for the industry we will be entering. If you are ready to follow your passion, come in, get your education and get to work.
I am currently enrolled in the MOA program in CDI South and I'm about to finish this December. During my 8-month stay, I've been through courses that built my confidence and understanding regarding to the program that I am taking. Especially when I went in Dr. Veny's class. She is very knowledgeable in the lessons that she's teaching us, at the same time she's teaching us how we can apply it on the real world. She motivates and pushes us to do great in quizzes or exams, and she wants her students to be successful in the future. I like Dr. Veny because she can be funny at times and telling some jokes to her students, but when it comes to our studies, she pushes us to do well.
My experience with CDI, and in particular Chelsey. Taylor , was just what the doctor ordered .She was positive, so helpful and very encouraging. As was Bethrine in making me feel comfortable and to feel worthy. I am so excited and thankful for deciding to reach out and get such a great much needed reception to be part of the rest of my life.????????♂️????????
It's an amazing school to attend, especially for adult learners. The teachers and staff are passionate about my learning and make the effort to teach me at my pace. It has a comfortable learning environment that makes the daily grind feel less of a grind. I would highly suggest attending this school if you're looking for a worthwhile education that sets you up for the future.
I'm a student currently enrolled in the Business & Digital Marketing Management program and so far I have really enjoyed my learning experience here! It is very fast paced and requires more time than I originally thought it would but this is the first time that I have been to college. I'm a 44 year old mom to 3 boys and I work from home so adding school to my life was a bit scary at first. Now I'm so glad I did because the instructors are fantastic and the course material is great. I feel I will have an excellent chance of finding a career I love when I graduate and be prepared for new exciting challenges. If you are considering enrolling in this same program you will love having Sonia Khurana and Kim Findlay as your teachers. They are both very knowledgeable and really care about our success. They engage us and make sure we understand the material. I highly recommend CDI College - Calgary South.
I am currently enrolled in the Addictions Community Service Worker Diploma with Kathy DuGray. I highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to work in the field. She is so knowledgeable and delivers the curriculum in a real life way. the knowledgeable and experience she brings as a teacher is invaluable. She is also kind easy to work with and truly cares for her students. I feel I am getting so much more out of this course because of her.
Addictions & Community Worker program taught by Kathy is both academically sound and reality driven. Kathy has "been there, done that" and is amazing at giving real life details and examples. Her wealth of knowledge & experience put this program on a much higher level. It's worth the drive South.
Just want to thanks Sonia, my Accounting and Payroll teacher , for this challenging journey of mine. Thank you for making me believe and discover my strengths that I really didn't know that I have, thank you for making a positive difference and for being with me in this new chapter of my life , thank you, thank you!
Im taking MOA right now and Im happy to pursue this course. My instructor Ms. Veny is very nice and knowledgeable to her field that she makes sure everybody will understand the lesson. As well as the the rest of the school staff and instructor they are very helpful to every students.
Kathy Dugrey is the best teacher I’ve ever had in my life. She prepares us for real life and teaches us in a manor that is relatable to the field. It is great to have such an outstanding individual to groom the generation of the future. The experience she has is invaluable and worth the cost of admission. I can honestly say I wouldn’t be where I am today without her guidance.
Dr. Veny is an excellent teacher, who is very knowledgeable and convey her knowledge of complex material in a manner easily understandable. She is very professional, and easy to communicate to, and you receive great feedback. It is without hesitation that I strongly recommend Dr. Veny, she is a great asset not only to her students, but to the school as a whole.
From an employers perspective, I find that the students who have CDI College on their resume enter the workforce prepared for the day-to-day challenge of the working world. From my time managing a bar, running a communications research team, or hiring sales staff, I have had great successes with the alumni. Keep up the great work.
Veny Shanmugam is the best MOA instructor. she was very informative on every subject. she also know how to have a little bit of fun with us. she was the best instruct. i would highly recommend cdi.
Stacey is one of the teachers at CDI, she is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had !! So thoughtful and understanding and just honestly really good at teaching !
Please do not even consider contacting this poor excuse of education facility. They have no time to provide any information YOU require, but they are ready to waste your time . Unpredictable, Unprofessional and very rude staff. Not ready to assist you even on a scheduled appointment . I wouldn't even give a one star !!!
Hi all! Im currently enrolled in CDI Collage South Calgary and I can tell that it is one of the best decisions of my life! I really wanna say thank you to all the instructors, but most of all to Sonia Babbar Khurana for her patience and ecourage I received. She is very knowledgeable, professional and confident in teaching us. You can ask her any question any time and she will give you the answer rightaway. In case she doesn't have the answer (very rare), she will find it out and let you know. A lot of the time she goes out her way to make sure her students are succeeding. Thank you so much Sonia for all your help!!! You are amazing instructor and amazing person! I will never forget you! Allready miss you.....
I am currently enrolled in the BDMM course at CDI college. Sonia has been the most amazing instructor through out this year and this huge step in life. Her dedication to the students she teaches and the amount of extra time she takes out of her day to help us with our struggles is remarkable. I am a few weeks away from completing my program and I am so glad I got the opportunity to learn under sonia. I highly recommend this program! Thank you Sonia k.
It all started well, and still going on so well, thank you for the great help and nice instructor Mr. AMIR, have a great day everyone! Godbless!
I'm currently a student at CDI in Midnapore. I'm not usually one to go on and on about anything but I have to right now. Dr. Veny, the instructor for the Medical Office Administration program is absolutely incredible. She's kind and funny, and her teaching style is amazing. She makes it easy to understand things that a person might not understand otherwise and teaches how we learn. She makes you feel good about being there, she treats us like her children (in a good way). We know she genuinely cares about each and every one of us, with some people you can just tell if they're faking it, we can tell she truly cares. If you are considering this program, I highly recommend CDI Calgary (Midnapore location). It's a complete program that gets you a diploma at the end, not a certificate, certificates aren't recognized by alot of health authorities, where a diploma is. If you're considering the Medical Office Administration program, come chat with someone at the CDI Midnapore location, you won't be sorry!
I am taking a course MOA at CDI College South and my Instructor Veny is very knowlegeable in all aspects of subjects she tackles. She is very generous, polite and helpful to all her students. Overall, she is a fun teacher to be with during class.
I am an MOA student and I am almost finished in the MOA class. I am have three children and helping saraphybathspa sell soaps and massage cream. I chose the right college and their MOA for changed my life. I never missed classes and I am always on time. This course it not easy for me, so I have to study hard. I come to school every morning until 4pm some times. Sir Harry had to remind me not to forget to go home because I want to review and attain my goals. I have to pass each and every exam. Dr. Veny changed my life. She is very helpful to teach us in a clear and easy way to understand. She always reminds me study hard because this course it not easy for me. She is kind, helpful, and loyal. I am very thankful to Dr. Veny and I highly recommend her. Whoever wants to take the MOA course or Accounting and Payroll, and other computer courses, please do come in CDI college. This college helps you to find a job when you finished with your practicum.
When I went to CDI I met the best teacher I have ever experienced in my life Kathy taught me how to become the best CSW and FSA that I have become. Because of her teachings I am a successful employee at Sunrise native addiction Society and at Woods Homes. Thank you Kathy.
Over the past 10 month at CDI college, my experience was very delightful. I am finishing in 1.5 weeks and I am going to miss coming into class, being greeted by Dr. Veny. Myself being a mom and working and going to school, she was very understanding. she would give me advice when I needed it. She has made my experience here at CDI very good. CDI is very lucky to have a teacher like her. Her Teaching technique is amazing. She is very involved in the class and very helpful. She goes out of her way to make sure that everyone is understanding before we move on to something new. She can be hard on you sometimes but only because she wants to see you be successful. I would recommend more people to come to CDI and take the MOA program.
My Instructor was great I learned a lot ! i will continue to study here online!
I took the course Student Success Strategy with Mr Amir Sheihk. He is a very caring professor who has a desire to have all his student experience success. His lectures were very animated you were held spell bound. We are better because of his teachings. His challenge for us to work hard and kill the lazy personality will stay with me as I embark on my educational and professional journey.
I am a student in the MOA (Medical Office Assistant Program). Dr. Veny is very knowledgeable about what she is teaching and does her best to help you get through everything. She will push you and laugh with you, but also lets you know when to "pull up your socks". She teaches about team work and not being shy when working with others. Dr. Veny will take the time needed to explain and expand on what she is teaching. I have become more comfortable in my decision for career change and do not regret it at all. Everyone is very helpful at the CDI South College, and wants you to succeed. Dr. Veny most of all want all her students to be their best and successful in their new career. If you are thinking of starting college or about a career change, my advice is CDI Collage South. When going through tough times, and doing school work. Dr. Veny gives you encouragement to keep going.
Terrible place. Worthless institution built by crooks
I am currently enrolled at CDI South taking Medical Office Administration (MOA), Chelsey signed me up and she was very informative and keeps in touch throughout my classes. Veny is my core class instructor and is very knowledgeable and makes sure we understand the information before proceeding. This course is challenging but Veny makes it so much easier to handle. Her happy demeanor and disposition make our mornings go by so quickly! All the instructors and staff at CDI are wonderful, I would highly recommend this campus to anyone ????
As a student that just finished their first week I feel that I am being taught everything that I was expected. Having the option to do online learning and then going to the campus makes studying easier. The instructors are informative and fair.
wonderful experience, wonderful instructor. very understanding and willing to work with you when you need to make adjustments
I am a Medical Doctor in my country, Venezuela, and I am new to Calgary. Since I wanted to work in the Health Services Area in Canada, I chose to enroll in the MOA Program at CDI College South Calgary. During my studies here, I have the greatest luck of meeting, the instructor, Dr. Veny. She has been a real help for me. Dr. veny is very knowledgeable, not only because she is an OBGYN, but also she has under her belt many years of teaching experience. Dr. Veny genuinely cares about her students. I have never seen a more professional and dedicated instructor. When someone is new to a place with different culture, Dr. Veny is the person you need to guide you. In the Health Service Area, where you are going to be in contact with patients and clients constantly from different backgrounds and cultures, Dr. Veny is the right person to meet. Dr. Veny is a real asset to CDI College. Thank you very much for your kindness and for being such a great human being.
Im with cdi south Calgary college right now taking MOA course . My instructor Veny is the best instructor and she makes sure we understand each lesson. We learn a lot of new things everyday. She makes the terminology easier and fun.
Veny and all the teachers were very helpful. Veny is well experience and knows what she is doing, make sure you do all your home work. She sure helped break down all the medical terminology.
I would like to share my views about Sonia Babbar Khurana. She is a meticulous teacher, very soft spoken, friendly. She knows her subject and was very helpful in explaining everything. Really enjoyed her class.
It was an absolute pleasure talking with Chelsea and figuring out the right course that I was looking to take. I'm taking the Addictions and Community Service Worker course and I couldn't be happier with the course but mostly the teacher Kathy DuGray is amazing! She teaches you what is important and doesn't waste your time. Kathy is very knowledgeable in her field and it makes sure you have access to the information you need to succeed. I have nothing but great things to say about Kathy and the course.
I recently graduated the Addictions Counselling and Community Services worker course. I found Kathy to be an exceptional teacher, she wasn't just concerned about our studies but our personal well being as well. Never hesitating to help us out if we needed it. Kathy is an incredible person and teacher and I learned more in her class then I had in the rest of my life. If you take her course, you won't regret it.
I have been at CDI College in the Addictions & Community Service Work program since July of 2019. I have experienced a positive learning environment, with staff that is easy to communicate with, & fellow students that are positive & interested in the program material. My teacher, Kathy DuGray, is very knowledgable about the course, & is informed about many aspects of the program, & our city of CALGARY. The field trips to various places in our city are valuable in learning about the resources & people in our city. We have visited the Drop in centre, Mustard Seed, Salvation Army, Alpha house, the Aboriginal Hub, among others. Kathy is easy to approach, honest, & is happy to answer any questions. She is prepared, & prepares her students for the reality of the field. Hannah at the front desk is a wonderful face to get to know, helpful & friendly. I would recommend anyone considering the courses at CDI to attend the South Campus.
Excellent instructors, great director. If you are willing to work hard and put your education first you will do well here. They have a very strict attendance policy, so make sure you can commit. CDI has great staff who are genuinely committed to your success. Almost graduating edit: Sonia Khurana is dedicated, knows her material and teaches it in a way that really spoke to me. I loved my time in her classroom and am grateful for such an exceptional mentor. Kim Findlay runs her own business so anything marketing she gets really excited about. Her passion and personal experience are valuable assets, and she loves passing that knowledge onto students. Sere Macphereson teaches many courses and I appreciate the time she gives to her students. I love feeling empowered and trusted to complete my work at my own pace. Her kindness and warmth is evident everyday. I'd also like thank CDI and my instructors for being kind, understanding and there, everyday, during Covid-19. They had their own struggles i'm sure, but they made me feel as if I were a part of their families. The love I have for these women is a testament to; how much of themselves they put into their work. Thank you so much for everything!
I am a single mom looking to get back into the day time work force. As such, I decided to upgrade my training to up my chances in job finding. Honestly, the main reason I chose this school is because of its location and the fact that I can walk there in just a few minutes. The course has been hard but very fulfilling. I would recommend this school to people who are hard-working and serious about getting a high level of education.
It was a great visit
I'm currently a student of Kathy DuGray's and she is the best teacher I have ever had, she's down to earth and is really knowledgable about the field. Her class is a delight to be in and I'm so glad I get to be apart of it as her discussions in class. 10/10 recommend her program and teaching style.
My experience so far has been nothing but nice, easy and enjoyable. Nada has been my teacher this week and things has been good, she knows how to explain the work that we have to do. she has taught me things that I didn't know about myself till after doing all this its been an honor being taught by her and meeting her, I feel like she really connects with us students. She also cares if she thinks there is something wrong she would ask if we needed to talk so she's very caring for sure. I very much enjoyed this class. so far so good.
I am currently enrolled as Medical Office Administration (MOA) and I am enjoying it. The staff and Instructors are excellent, especially Veny she is very helpful and she make sure that students are learning comfortably, she inspires, and encourages us to excel in medical terminology.
Nobody answers the phone when you need help from the school, constantly on hold or asked to leave a message and you never get a call back. Very frustrating when you just need to ask a question.
I like to thank Lesley Abbott from Reeves College for recommending me here to study at CDI College South Campus so close to my home no hassle for parking and traffic. Teachers are friendly and helpful.
I was enrolled in the ASCW course from February 2018 to January 2019, and it changed my life! The instructor is so knowledgable in the subject matter and teaches with a passion for the vulnerable sector that cannot be matched.
I am a current student enrolled in the Addictions Community Service Worker Diploma program with CDI. I have to say my experience with CDI has not been without some frustrations but, my instructors have made-up for the deficit especially Kathy DuGray and Gord Cummings. Kathy brings many years of unique real life experiences to her lectures, she has an unorthodox way of delivering a lecture that keeps it real. Perhaps Kathy's way of lecturing is not for everyone but, when entering into a high stress, fast paced industry I truly appreciate the authenticity of her lectures. Kathy will not sugar coat the realities of this industry, which I truly appreciate! Kathy's shared knowledge and experiences will serve me well once I venture out of the nest and into the field.
I had a great experience at CDI. Our instructor Sonia is amazing. She is very approachable and knowledgeable in her field.
My all love for my Valentine CDI South Campus. I see your face when I am dreaming please be my valentine you are the highlight of my life. I like hanging out with you and I care enough to show the very best. You are the world’s best start and sharing my dreams. I need you so much because you are a foundation for life who courage to act and change for the better life. For me CDI South Campus called to greatness. You are advancing knowledge and transforming lives. You made me faster, better and stronger with full of good ideas and getting good results. I trust you from bottom of my heart. You are my inspiration. Be mine Valentine CDI South Campus forever. From my hearts to yours. Rupa
On my first day of class, ACSW, my instructor Kathy created an environment that is friendly, comfortable and most importantly unbiased. Everyone is expected to participant which was new for me but your opinion matters. Kathy makes you want to class whether you are tired or not. I look forward to attend classes because I know I will come out with more knowledge.
At first, I was skeptical to go back to school because of my brain was already stuck up after graduated from college and left my teaching job 18 years ago in the Philippines. But it's hard to find a new job if you don't have certificate or diploma. So I was looking for the best school and I read the positive reviews for CDI College and become interested to study in Addictions and Community Service Worker Program. So, I called Monica and made an appointment for admission. When my admission was done and everything was set, the next day I e-mailed her that I changed my mind and hesitant to pursue, but she didn't replied, so I follow-up with a call. She encouraged and motivated me to continue, so I did. I currently taking ACSW course with truly amazing and vey competent instructor, Kathy DuGray. Kathy is a great mentor and nurturing person. She goes above and beyond to the very best of her knowledge and experience to every student. There's no boring moments in Kathy's class. That's why I am excited and inspired to come to class everyday. I was a timid and shy person but having her I developed my self-confidence and boost my self-esteem. She's always ready to answer all our questions and prepare us in our future career. I salute you, Kathy and a Big Thank You! YOU ARE AWESOME! I definitely recommend this program.
Amazing place and awesome teachers:)! Nada is an amazing teacher and woman! Highly recommend
My stint as a Medical Office Administration student here in CDI is approaching its culmination. These last five months have been the toughest and most grueling part of my student life. I dealt with the major subjects in this last five months, and when I say major, it is challenging and tough, one needs to be resilient enough to withstand the pressure brought about by dealing with the medical aspects of this course. Having said that, it is just fitting and right to give my eloquent and sincere tribute to a teacher that has played a significant role in molding me the individual that I am right now. I want to extend my sincerest appreciation to her. I am fortunate that she was my teacher for these major subjects, as she is very intellectual, and she left no questions unanswered regarding the subject matter. She imparted valuable knowledge that I can make use of when I get that MOA job I have been wanting to achieve. She taught me to be strong, she pushed me to do better, she taught me that giving up is not always an option. She encouraged me to strive harder and always aim and not settle for less. She is Dr Veny, my mentor, my teacher.
Am currently enrolled in the Addictions Community Service Work course. The teacher Kathy DuGray is amazing to learn from and makes the material relevant and interesting. Highly recommend!
Currently a student in the ACSW program ran by Kathy. She has a wealth of industry experience that she uses to give students a "real world" education. No sugar coating done here. Highly recommend if you want to work in the field of Human Services.
This is the last week for my MOA course in CDI College. I am very excited to have my practicum in Canada Diagnostic Centers as my wish comes true! It has been pleasure to have all of fabulous instructors such as Dr. Veny, resourceful Computer Engineer Jean, superb Pam, and brilliant Val. Dr. Veny is the transcendent instructor for MOA, especially for the key course of Medical Terms with her generous amount of experience and rich knowledge. She has lead me and all of my batches to challenge ourselves personally, with her thoughtful heart and faithful encouragement. Every day she has cared about our anxiousness from studying hard and our personal matters by guiding us to learn how to study without the overwhelming amount of stress. Dr. Veny is great in her efforts to develop personal relationships with all the students to take care of in our studying environment with her patient, caring and kind personality. She has engaged students in learning such as understanding the pace and capacity of each and every student. She does not hesitate to give extra help for someone who needs it, which demonstrates her dedication to teaching. Finding words to thank you is not easy, but perhaps this heartfelt words will help to show my gratitude. Your thoughtfulness will always be remembered more than you could ever know.
awsome college. I am an older student taking MOA and find the class' fun and very educational. Dr. Veny the teacher is awsome. she has great passion for the medical field and teaching.
I am about to finish my MOA. I am very happy that I have chosen the best school. After almost 10 months of staying here, I enjoyed every single day that I come to school specially to Dr. Veny's class. I would like to say a special thank you to Dr.Veny because she's not just a teacher to us, but she's been a friend and a mother to us. There are times that things can be tough but in spite of those difficult situations, she will never let us walk through it alone. She's always there guiding us, even if it means that she will let us take baby steps just to get there and I am very lucky to have her. I admire how passionate she is and the concern that she's giving to her students. As I walked out of this campus, I am very confident that I will do very good because I have a very strong foundation and a very good mentor.
I enrolled in the ACSW course in April and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Our instructor Kathy is highly educated and very personable and makes the course fun and very enjoyable ! I would recommended CDI South to everyone and anyone!
CDI got the best teachers ever thanks a lot Carol Aguilar for giving me a great time
When you have a lot of things to handle, specially if you are by yourself, it is really hard to make a decision of going back to school without any support, a lot of things to consider. It took me 7 months to finally said "YES" to Monica that I will come and give it a try. I am currently taking up Medical Office Administration. Two more months, and I will be starting my practicum, in the center where I planned to go before enrolling into this course. (Thank you to Kristine, our practicum coordinator, who is very helpful). Started with my computer subjects, which happens to be one of my water loo, Jean ( Learning Center Instructor) was very supportive. She walked with me in easiest way for me to be able to understand clearly what is the subject itself, and where to focus on. Moving on to the main subject of the course, the most interesting part. Miss Veny, oh God! never a dull moment with her. The best instructor I ever met. Making sure that each student understand everything what is she saying, even the way how she say each word, CLARITY is up. Encouraged every student to focus, and make us realize how important studying in the real world of professionals. Not just in teaching she is great, but also in approaching every student, in the simplest way with a "Mother's touched". It really fells good. CDI South in general is AWESOME!
I had a wonderful experience dealing with Chelsey Taylor. She went above and beyond to help me figure out what I want to do and even though I didn’t end up attending the south location ( I am attending Cdi city centre) she still followed up with me and made sure everything is going smoothly. Thank you for your amazing help Chelsey, you rock!
Kathy is an amazing instructor, makes sure you understand the material in a professional and fun learning way
Instructor Veny for the MOA class is a very knowledgeable teacher, I'm very pleased to say I have learned a lot in her class.
I'm an MOA student since September. My experience here has been great, the teachers and staff are very helpful. I've had Dr. Veny S. as a teacher for most of my courses, she's not only very knowledgeable in her field, but also a great human being. With her teaching techniques and patience, she makes learning easier. I highly recommend CDI South. Looking forward to the next step in my career.
Chelsey Taylor was so incredible for helping me with achieving my goals and very knowledgeable about my course and was able to make sure what i wanted to take was a right fit for me
I want to make sure that everyone knows about my excellent experience with CDI College. Chelsey, The Assistant Director of Admissions made everything clear and concise. No hidden agendas. Chelsey has great knowledge and will help anyone choose the right career and help with student loans(if eligible). I would highly recommend CDI College to young or mature student. Great courses, great atmosphere, great support and an outstanding customer service. Thank you CDI College.
I took the Addictions and Community Service Worker program and graduated this past summer. Kathy was a great instructor and mentor. She is very knowledgeable, and fair. She went above and beyond to make sure we did well, and found practicums, and then find employment. I am proud to call her a peer, and a friend.Very positive experience . Thank you
They are a very supportive staff, and the instructors deliver a high quality lessons. I had lots of difficulties with my IT lab courses and my instructor , Carol Aguilar helped me so much to overcome all the questions and issues I have had especially with Excel. I have learnt a lot through all the courses I took with CDI College. I can't say thank you enough to all staff and instructors and definitely recommend this College to my friends and relatives.
Taking the ACSW course. Best experience of my life. Instructor Kathy is incredibly knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommend this course
I am presently enrolled in the MOA program here in CDI South Campus. During my 6-month stay, I have undergone my medical subjects with Dr. Veny. Since I have been working full time while studying in the morning, I find it difficult at first to cope up with the grueling demands in school. I try to balance my work, school, and especially family life. Dr. Veny makes it easy for me to understand the lessons and answer my queries and explain to the class in a manner everyone understands. She relates the things she teaches to everyday life for us to truly discern what we are learning. She pushes us to study hard and envisions us to land a job that fulfills the purpose of going back to school. Having a commitment to attend each day in the class is well reiterated by her. We are constantly bombarded that we should always put our best effort in everything that we do. I am truly glad that I got the privilege to be one of Dr. Veny's students. I have made a family outside my own home. We made a lot of memories together while we are studying which we will all treasure for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Dr. Veny from the bottom of our hearts.
I am very happy that I go to the CDI Calgary South. I am taking MOA class and it is a difficult one, but with the help of our very knowledgeable instructor Veny, she made it very easy for us to study. She always make sure that we understand everything and provide us a lot of information based on her experienced. She is very approachable and kind. I would definitely recommend CDI Calgary South.
I took my MOA course at CDI South and my instructor Veny is very helpful on our subjects. She is well knowledgeable on the subject matter and efficiently trained on medical field as her previous experience being a medical doctor. Studying and learning medical language becomes easier as she has her way and tips on how to memorize and remember the details easily. She is very approachable if we have questions or clarifications on our lessons and doing her own research just to make sure we are getting the right and updated information. Great learning experience really helps me a lot. Thank you CDI! I got a job right away after my practicum and our school coordinator Kristine is very helpful and assist me on all my Diploma and Transcript processing so I can send it the soonest to my employer.
ADDICTIONS COUNSELING AND YOUTH SOCIAL WORK Kathy DuGray is a fantastic instructor! Very knowledgeable with over 30 year experience in the field. I can't think of anyone more qualified to teach this program!
Warning CDI produced no courses online and will not honestly admit it to me . This is a Rip off! Do not go here For an education. Get a better education somewhere else.
As part of the addictions and community service worker program I was able to for the first time in my life complete my education. Cdi was so supportive in every aspect to admission and funding, front desk, tech support and of course my direct life changer, the teacher. I would actually pay again to go to this school just to see what eles I would learn. I always do and will continue to recommend this program to as many people as I can. Thank you so much CDI and acsw teacher for this amazing experience I am for ever grateful for giving me the tools I need.
As a previous graduate of CDI College in the Accounting & Payroll Administration course, I have the skills I need to work in any business. I am now currently working at CDI College & continue to use my accounting & Payroll knowledge, as well as learn new skills.
Amazing teachers work well with you ????
I am currently a student, half way through my course in ASCW. MY instructor Kathy has really made the course. With her real field expierence that she applies to her teachings, truly makes a difference to what I am learning. Kathy also encourages her students to do courses that are free that will help them through their future careers. She truly has been a great mentor thus far and look forward to the changes she brings.
class has been very well instructed any question gets answered lots of help from our teacher nada i work full time and go to class in the evenings and the work load has not been to bad so far
CDI Calgary South was awesome! They instructors are so friendly and knowledgeable, staff here are amazing and understanding. I have graduated and got hired right from my practicum! If you work hard, do all assignments and homework, you will succeed! You get what you put into it, you don’t work hard, you will fail. Thank you all!!!
kathy DuGray Is an amazing lecturer. She always put her all into everything she teaches. My mom Mary is taking Addiction Counselling with her and she is always talking about how good Kathy is. I would recommend anyone going to CDI to have Kathy as a teacher. 5 Star
Currently studying at CDI South campus, community outreach and addictions. My instructor Kathy DuGray has a wealth of experience and I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to further their education or enter the field.
South Campus has an exceptional MOA program. Intensive, but all instructors there are supportive and push you to succeed.
Obtaining a Canadian Education was a dream for me. Thank you CDI Calgary-South Campus for making this dream a reality. To my very knowlegeable Accounting and Payroll Professor, SONIA BABBAR KHURANA, thank you so much. Your mastery of the subjects and patience to impart knowledge have made learning fun and easy. The skills and knowledge I have gained will be of great help in my career switch. More power to you!
I attended the acsw course, Kathy DuGray was my instructor what an amazing teacher and person she is, I got so much more out of this course then I expected, from volunteering to touring different places exceeded my expectations thankyou Kathy I defiantly recommend people to take her class.
My experience at CDI College unfortunately was not very good. There was one instructor that did a great job and that was Sere, she was there to answer your questions and would go over things with you. Thank You Sere! The other instructor Sonia, she was helpful in someways and not in others. When I asked questions I sometimes got answers and other times she said she would have to get back to me- which she never did. I had to push Sonia to go over my test/exams to see where I could have improved. It came across as "as long as you got a pass" what difference does it make, to me as the person paying for the education it makes a big difference. There were times when I wanted to just quit, it was so frustrating, but due to my study partner , our hours spent doing homework and looking stuff up, I have graduated with honors. So my thanks would have to go to my study partner Dana.
So far the environment is welcoming and supportive. Would reccomend.
loving the school so far! super helpful and caring teachers
My experience so far has been very nice, easy and enjoyable. The teacher is an expert and gives opportunity to all students. Mr. Amir was our teacher for this course and he always supports us, it must be said that he is one of the best teachers. Highly recommend CDI college to everyone wants to study and start new career.
The staff at cdi college south are amazing, Chelsey taylor especially. She was patient, kind and understood my financial concerns. And although I will not be attending cdi south just yet I can safely say this college would be worth attending.
I am taking an MOA course, our instructor is Ms. Veny Shanmugam she is fantastic, very precise and understanding teacher. I truly enjoy my class with her.
I Just love to give thanks to my Instructor Ms. Sonia in APA. As a working mom going back to school is not that easy and accomplish something for myself was always a hope for me, but having an instructor like her makes my learning so comfortable, she’s dedicated and passionate about her job, She’s always there and guide in every step of the process, questions are always welcome and she also lend her Hears in every students Struggles and problems ???? she’s very friendly and professional, I could only imagine all the hard work she put into her job to assure that all her students get the right help and thrive, She’s an Amazing instructor who gives me unconditional support, I surely miss going to her class as I finished all my modules to her, but I May say that I am confident for a hopeful and brighter career which will level up my current situation because of the Knowledge that She shared with me. I will never forget her. Thank you so Much Sonia K.
I am almost done with my courses as a Payroll and Accounting Administrative at CDI South Campus. The stuff and Instructors are excellent, especially Mrs. Sonia she is very helpful and she make sure that students are learning comfortably. I highly recommended to take this program at CDI South Campus.
This school is full of icompetent underachieving employees. One of them I'd like to single out, Marie Louise Boileau. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CURRENT STUDENTS. They only care about recruiting and acquiring new students and publicity/ads to get more profit. CURRENT STUDENTS ARE TREATED VERY POORLY. A simple diploma process took them 81 days to process with NO UPDATES during the wait. They try their best to make you do surveys for employment WITHOUT GIVING YOUR DIPLOMA to make their record look good. This school is just going to empty your pockets and will take a long time for them to hand you a worthless diploma (because it's from CDI) and say you're welcome. Some staff might be nice but this school itself is worthless. AVOID IT AT ALL COST.
This is Maizy and I have really enjoyed my first class so far and am excited to continue my education here.
I am in the Addictions and Social Work with Kathy DuGray, she has been one of the most exceptional teachers that I have had, her teaching style is highly informative and she is student orientated. I do not learn well from many people but she know how to get the message across.
I am currently enrolled here in CDI South Campus as an MOA student. I am glad that I’ve chosen the best course and school, during my 7 months of staying here I am thankful that Dr. Veny motivated me to study hard and do my best. Everyday she always push us to understand the lessons so that when we take our exam we will get a higher grade. Everything that she do is for our own good and for our future. Dr. Veny is such a good teacher, she is also a friend and a mother to us. She inspires us to be confident and knowledgeable. I am grateful that I'm one of Dr. Veny's students. I will treasure all of the memories here in CDI College. Thank you so much Dr. Veny!
I’m currently enrolled in the MOA course at CDI college Calgary south and I’m very happy with my experience so far! The instructors I’ve had so far Veny and Jean are very knowledgeable in their respectful areas! I’ve also found all the support staff very helpful as well!
I knew I wanted to work in Social Services but wasn't sure where to start. After much debate I settled on CDI and signed up for the Addictions and Community Services Worker program. After the first day I knew this is the field that I wanted to be in for the rest of my life. My instructor Kathy taught me how to enjoy learning in a fun, engaging way. I could spend forever talking about how amazing this woman is but all you need to know is that if you're looking to get into this field, you want Kathy as your teacher.
I enrolled in the Medical Office Assistant program in June 2019 and I would enroll over and over again! My instructor, Dr. Veny Shanmugam has made everyday extremely enjoyable! She is very helpful with all of our questions and needs. I was worried about going back to school after being out of school for so long but with they help from Veny I was exceptionally comfortable and ready to take on all the new courses. Veny has helped not only with the classes but has taught us how to work in a less stressful environment and maintain our mental health. She is very clear with the courses and the requirements that we are supposed to meet. Veny has been helping me prepare for my practicum and has me excited rather than nervous. She makes coming to class fun and exciting! if you are thinking about perusing a career as a Medical Office Assistant then I would highly recommend enrolling with CDI College - Calgary South!
I'm currently taking addictions with Kathy DuGray, her knowledge and experience of 30 years in this field has made me question my own bias and ethics about addictions, she has great teaching moments that engage the class and leave you wanting to continue and learn more. Great experience and teaching, and this class is a life changer for myself.
I took the addictions and community services diploma program and having Kathy Dugray as my instructor was life changing. Her practical experience in the field and her teaching method helped to really prepare me for what I would be seeing and doing. I would give Kathy 10 stars if I could. I am very grateful to her for sharing her knowledge with me and for supporting me every step of the way through this program.
I went to CDI on a whim. Not having any idea what I was getting into. I walked into Kathy's class filled with nerves. Kathy lead me on a journey and exposed me to a world I was completely unaware of. Today I am working with families in crisis. Testing the skills I learned in Kathy's class everyday. Between the field trips and the many role playing classroom antics, I benefit from Kathy's years of experience everyday. I highly recommend the ACSW Program at CDI south campus.
Completely unprofessional.
Instructor Veny is an amazing person, she is very considerate to everyone and of course she is knowledgeable and very active that is why we are influenced to study more harder and have a good grades. I love studying here at CDI!
CDI offers courses and arranges practicum that put you in a right direction to marketable Jobs. It is totally work it.
I started the ACSW program 3 months ago and it has been such an amazing experience this far. My instructor, Kathy DuGray is so real, so true and believes everything she teaches us and delivers it in a way that makes you feel like an adult and not a kid in high school. She brings 30 years of experience with her and I could listen to her stories and knowledge all day. The course itself is heavy and very intense, but her delivery of the material is amazing and I always leave with a smile everyday. I honestly look forward to coming to school daily, just be able to learn from Kathy. I have a few months left in ACSW and I know they will be amazing. Love my CDI...and now that I have been in the non-for profit sector for 2 years, everything that Kathy taught me has led me to my dream position with CUPS. She continues to have influence on my life to this very day.
I am very happy with my experience at CDI College. I am currently enrolled in the MOA course with a very knowledgeable instructor. Mrs Veny is a delight to have in the class she makes learning fun and is fare and tough on you but in a good way. She will help you to do your very best. She is a great teacher and is very kind and encouraging. I also would like to say that my experience with Jean in the lab was also very positive. Jean is a very nice and knowledgeable. I very much enjoyed my time with her.
