This is an Aussie coffee shop and it super cheerful and unique. A great place to bring kids - they have all sorts of games and crafts to keep them entertained. They also have great pastries and snacks which are baked in house. The coffee is more on the citrus side of things but good. The owner is very warm and positive. Oh, and they sell fancy ice cream too. :)

WOW! What a find today! My friend Shirley and I found this fabulous place that isn't a "coffee shop" but makes a killer latte. Such a comfortable ambience, customer service and a very interesting concept of supporting the community and sustainables. If you get a loyalty card and fill it, $1.00 goes to the community. There is even a TTC bus monitor to let you know when the next bus is due to the Jane subway. Just blew me out of the water. Will be back for sure and highly recommend it to all my friends. Continued success. :)

I was very excited to try this coffee having lived in Australian and experienced awesome coffee. I was exceptionally disappointed with the flat white, which was not a traditional flat white. The coffee tasted bitter and was too hot. It is a shame, after a lot of disappointing coffee over my trip - this was meant to be different.

Oh and there aren’t any indoor seating arrangements but there’s a bench right outside and also right beside the place.???? Such a cute a fun coffee shop. If COVID wasn’t a thing, I would have loved to spend a little more time here to look around rather than just run in and out for my coffee. Overall, staff was very friendly and cheery from the very beginning. The drinks I got were a cappuccino with oat milk and a latte. Espresso wasn’t decent, not bad. I love that they have sizes for their cappuccinos since many other places just have one size. Would love to come by again to try a few more drinks and food items off their menu.

Golden Gecko Coffee is one of the best independent coffee shops in the city. It's unique, to say the least, in theme: an Aussie-based, Star Wars loving vibe welcomes all comers. Excellent coffee, and their snacks and treats are off the charts: sausage rolls, turnovers of all kinds, sweet and savory items, cookies, muffins, tarts -- all made in-store, all delicious. They also have organic pop, juice, and other drinks. Absolutely worthy of a drop-in, the proprietors and other staff are super-friendly. I stop by there whenever I'm anywhere close by.

Great spot for coffee accompanied by sweet or savory snacks. The friendly barista made me a flat white that was delicious and the perfect temperature. The chocolate chip cookie and chocolate croissant were tasty too! The layout of the space is quite comfy, good for working on your laptop or chatting with friends, and there is outside seating as well if you have a canine friend with you. Great addition to the neighbourhood!

The Golden Gecko is a great addition to the neighborhood. The owner, Jake, serves up a warm Aussie welcome along with fine fare. My favorite thing is the jam and coconut covered sponge cake: very retro and not too sweet. On top of that, Jake has welcomed our new local drawing group into his establishment. Man, the stuff here is great. I've had a few of their drinks and they've all been consistently good. The "spicier" drinks like chai have a real kick, which is soooo hard to find. Service was spectacular and I was blown away how great their pastries are, too. Whenever I'm in the area visiting friends I'm always sure to stop by.

What a tacky, smelly and unkept coffee shop. The back counter looks dirty and the place smells like dirty socks. I was in there 10 minutes and I had to leave. The coffee is okay, not the best, like I wouldn't make a habit to go out of my way to come here. I wouldn't dare taste the food, it looks greasy.

Golden Gecko is steadily shaping up as a great neighborhood gathering place - a growing selection of coffee beans roasted on-site, unique selection of bakery goodies (try the quinoa muffin!) all follows the owner Jake's adventurous Aussie spirit. It's a spacious place with plenty of seating but fills up nicely on weekends - just enough to let you feel the vibe of the rapidly revitalizing Baby Point, both hip and comforting at the same time.

First time in there I had ordered a Latte served up by the friendly owner I think his name is Jake. Super friendly easy going atmosphere no feeling of being rushed like some of the other Coffee shops in the city.. This a great local grassroots establishment for anyone wanting to just relax and decompress from your daily dailies. Highly recommend if you're into winding down.

Very cozy location, kids friendly. Books and activities everywhere for children. But their coffee and deserts are great too. I had a latte and pecan tart. Both were fantastic. As they say on the wall, this is not a coffee shop, it's a place of comfort, happiness and for community, they just happen to serve great coffee too.

Out in the far west edges of Toronto, I was dying for a good kick of caffeine and stumbled into this sunny bright spot in Baby Point. I LOVED the fact the owner is an Aussie who's love of all things coffee which includes the true flat white. The cafe is super bright and sunny with it's bold yellow accents everywhere and really open spacious. The back wall is where you can order up your drinks and snacks. I loved how they had Lamington's there... I haven't seen them in years! I really enjoyed getting my drink here as the owner was just great and friendly. Flat White with Almond Milk - Smooth, well balanced, and flavourful... sure it doesnt have fancy little leaf on it but you dont need it when it tastes this good. 4/5 If I'm ever in the edges of Toronto again, I'll be happy to stop by and grab a drink here.

I was brought here by a friend for the first time and it definitely will not be my last! The service was amazing and the staff were so kind! I have yet to try any of their beverages, though I have heard great things, however I did have their chocolate brownie ice cream and it was delicious! I could tell that they used fresh ingredients and the ice cream was reasonably priced ($3 for a small). This is probably the best spot in the area for ice cream and I love how it is adored by people in the community! I will definitely be back soon!

This is the quintessential, cosy neighbourhood Cafe. People coming and going greeting each other like family, lots of regulars. Lovely family environment as well as college crowd. Jake, the owner and barista/baker has a lovely Australian accent and is engaging. This is a great daily spot to read have a cuppa, chat with a friend ☺️

I'm not usually a speciality coffee person, but I will come back for the Golden Gecko's French Toast Latte. It had a light taste of caramel and burnt sugar and the foam was dense. Savoured every bit of it.
