This Coffee Shop belongs to the category of Coffee shop.
Bike repair service - super knowledgable & eager to get to the bottom of any problems. Couldn't fault these guys
I didnt really like the tea and Americano here. Even though I chose a more cholocaty Honduran coffee, it tasted more fruity and acidic and watered down. At other places 2 shots of espressi in a 12OZ cup taste more flavourful. People are nice and customer service too, but I guess I has higher expectations for 5$ of Americano. Prices are definitely too high.
Ryan and the team were spectacular! Awesome service and answered any questions that I had. I will be coming back!
Great staff, very friendly. Wonderful place to have coffee ( oh my, those scones!) with friends. It was a great discovery.
good coffee
Great espresso, great pastries
Very knowledgeable and friendly. Brought my Specialized in to get it ready to ride. Great coffee also.
Friendly, fast and affordable! They helped me diagnose the issue with my bike right away, offered a couple of options, and got back to me quickly with an affordable fix. Will absolutely come back here!
I love being able to sit cross legged on the wide benches. Always friendly service, working wifi, and loads of room. Awesome contribution to the neighbourhood.
Favourite cafe stop during bike rides along the western waterfront. Great patio for grabbing coffee/lunch and soaking in the afternoon sun. And they fix/sell bikes.
Staff reached out and explained that a miscommunication had occured and helped to assuage my concerns. I am pleased that I can once again recommend this shop.
Great coffee, friendly staff, with a great atmosphere. It serves as a bicycle shop too... Well worth the visit!
Absolutely amazing coffee in quiet place with beautiful design. Service is decent, and staff is very welcoming. I'm definitely coming back.
An excellent service! The person who assisted us is very kind! The place is so clean and unique, definitely will be back again, and for a coffee too.
Great Coffee
Love this place, always helpful and always friendly!
Fast service, respectful staff.
Great quality of coffee, nice interior design and a great program blend
Great service and friendly staff. Thanks for torquing my rotors and cassette on my new wheel set!
Love coming here for a coffee after a morning ride.
Went to this location to buy a Thousand helmet. Employee was super helpful, very friendly and followed COVID safety precautions very well. Great experience overall. Would definitely go back!
After I sent the picture of my bike and what can we do part, I received an email that it is probably gonna cost around 40 bucks and got 2 different options. Also was told that it is gonna be the same day or the say after. Once I went there the person told me that it's gonna cost min 80 bucks and needs to wait a couple days just to understand what is wrong and what is needed. When I told the guy about the emails, his response was it doesnt matter what it says, i am the manager and I am telling you this is your options. Coming from a long distance just trusting the emails. Don't recommend the place
Ross is amazing ♥️ Bikes, books, beans - almost want to move cities for them.
Great service and great prices
Super helpful, such a sweet spot to grab a coffee and chill
The bike service at this place is excellent and great value for the money. I stored my bike here over the winter and just picked it up, tuned up, clean and ready to start riding again. The staff is kind, knowledgeable and fast. I also learned today that you can get snacks, beer and wine in the front coffee shop which looks like a really cool and quiet place to hang out!
Beautifully crafted, modern cross of a bike shop and cafe. Provides a clean, inviting and relaxed atmosphere in a quiet neighborhood. Great service. Will definitely return.
Great coffee, treats, service and overall vibe. Takeout window and patio are going to be a huge plus this summer!
Nice placa but Coffee wasnt good and its a bit expensive
This place is tight af! Great! Safe! Tasty!
Perfect bike shop experience. Every time I go in I'm met with genuine hospitality, an interest in the work to be done, and practical expectations on what's next. Huge bonus that the work they charge is affordable/competitive. You get way more than you pay for... Feels rare in Toronto.
Punctured my tire and had to stop at the nearest bike shop. It’s the loveliest place with a quick and efficient service, good prices, great coffee and friendly staff. Would def recommend and visit again for a cup of coffee or bike service
I've taken two classes here and loved both of them. The space is open, bright, and fully stocked with all the yoga and massage tools …
Took my bike in for free service when they first opened. A few rides after the repair I had trouble with the rear brake (think it was an issue with the part not he service). Took my bike back in and they replaced the brake with better parts at no charge! Coffee shop is also great too! The use locally roasted beans and are always friendly.
Great neighborhood vibe. Bike culture meets coffee culture
????
The cafe is great, and the staff are really nice on that side. The bike shop is a different story. Went in early in the morning, as I had a problem with my bike on the way to work and Fix was on my route. A friend of mine had warned me about the mechanics here, but I really just had a simple question. I totally understand that things are wild right now, and that appointment only should be honoured but there’s a way to tell your customers that instead of not even letting them speak or explain the situation without basically being told to leave unless you have an appointment. The person that served me, didn’t even say hello or even looked at what I was trying to get fixed. Further more, I didn’t even want to get it fixed on the spot, nor did i not understand that I’d have to come back for an appointment. They were just so determined to make me leave. I work in the service/restaurant industry and I get my fair share of mistreatment, but this really ruined my morning and I left with no positive feedback on my bicycle or my interaction. I’ll be listening to my friend next time.
Great coffee, friendly staff, and cool bikes.
I’m no bike expert, but I felt a clicking when I was riding my bike and assumed it was the chain. When I brought my bike to Fix, I told them my chain was clicking. They barely examined the bike and sold me an $18 bottle of dry lube and said that should fix it. I applied the lube but continued to feel the clicking. I went to another bike repair shop and they examined the chain and said there was nothing wrong with it. But they went a step further and rode my bike and said it was the bottom bracket. They changed the bottom bracket, and the clicking stopped. Moral of the story: make sure your bike gets properly examined.
This is a great bike shop for self-supported cyclists to stop at. It's ID #45 on the Bike Across Canada Route Network 'Approved Bicycle Shop' list
Staff was very friendly.
This place is fantastic. The bike shop staff are super friendly and helpful. I've taken my bikes here several times and I've always had a great experience.
My favorite bike shop in Toronto!
Love the space! Good coffee. Very chill.
Great quiet atmosphere with great interior... coffee could be a lot more special but overall amazing experience... music is also good and different. Wifi is really good for working. Also good for reading..... they do have a little terrace at the front for nice sunny days
There are few things I wasn't satisfied with their service. First, It was way behind of the time that it should've been done. They told me it would be done by 6pm but I visited next day. My bike was lying on the floor without the front wheel. Second, they told me they ran out of a wheel that fit my bike. But when I asked to double check, they found one in the back garage. Third, they didn't call or message me at all. The reply was really curt. "I didn't call anyone". "I'm sorry I totally forgot" would've been great. Fourth, They repaired it in just few minutes. It was done very quickly, why did you put it off until I walked in? Fifth, I asked for some discount on it, the guy just gave $5 gift card. But the other guy ended up giving me discount or didn't charge me labor cost. That was my experience at this store and I can't believe it seems everyone gets good customer service there.
First time here and won't be my last. Coffee is excellent, shop is clean and spacious, staff/owner friendly, and the Breakfast Cookie was really good!! Look for the corner store with the "Groceries" sign.
The staff at Fix are great. Ryan is super friendly and is always willing to give you free advice for DIY projects. They have a great inventory of bike, parts, and accessories as well. Bonus: the coffee is amazing! This is my go to local bike shop and they always exceed expectations.
Relaxed friendly plsve6
Beautiful space that is a combination of two of my favourite things, coffee and bikes. Staff is incredibly friendly and went out of their way to educate us on their products as well as give us a bunch of local recommendations. Great tasting coffee and all their goods are baked in house besides their bagels. Big space with ample indoor and outdoor seating. Would absolutely recommend. If I lived in the area it would be my go to coffee shop.
Awesome service, great prices, very helpful people there... And the coffee was great too!
Phenomenal in house freshly made baking and food, wonderful coffee, friendly staff, cool chill atmosphere.
Amazing freshly baked sandwiches. One of the best vegan sandwiches I had in the city. The coffee is obviously really good too. Just found out they bake their bread fresh daily! What is it that they dont do well?
Great coffee, great atmosphere.
Beautiful layout, great music and really friendly staff! The london fog I had was so unique! Highly recommended!
Great place for a chat/meeting. Clean cut and minimalist, lots of power plugs and never busy, with a patio in the summer! Room to park on side streets a bonus, although I suspect many patrons bike here ;) PS Missing this sweet Detroit bike they had on the wall when they first opened!
Wow! These guys were great! They managed to fit me in to a very, very busy schedule and repaired my bike on the spot.Thankfully I was able to complete a ride on a fabulous sunny day with friends, socially distanced of course. Cheers!
Great cafe with a bike shop! Fresh baked pastries and good coffee. Bossie Bessie is always there to greet you as well!
Great bike service + delicious treats and beverages. This is a neighbourhood gem.
Great service! Bikes run better than ever!
Very knowledgeable, professional and helpful staff. Steve and Ryan Thank you very much
I came out to a rear flat this morning and Googled the 'hood for a shop open at 8:30am. I called and guy said to bring it in. Ron helped me in the shop and he handled a few other walk-ins and phone calls with grace and patience at the same …
This place is amazing.
I've come in for a couple of tune ups as well as dropped by for quick fixes and my experience has always been great, staff are super friendly and helpful.
Highly recommend! Ryan (I think is his name) is super passionate and lovely. He is very knowledgeable. Upon arrival, he told me he was too busy to safety my bike. I could tell he was VERY busy. However, I think he sensed the despair in my …
Great place to have a coffe in a cool neighborhood. The staff was nice. Loved the design and decoration of the place.
These guys helped me out installing a new derailer & adjusting the spacer on my rear wheel hub in no time. Sat on their patio, enjoyed an amazing Americano & ate one of the best breakfast wraps I've ever had. Would highly recommend this hidden gem of a shop!
Some of the best espresso in Toronto.
Excellent espresso, decor, and vibe. A nice spot to work; it's little tucked away from the foot traffic of West Queen West, so on the quieter side, though the stream of bike shop visitors keeps a decent background hum going.
Ryan was great at helping me out, and getting me what I needed for my bike. He was super knowledgeable and friendly. His pricing is fair and really goes above and beyond for his customer. That's what happens when someone has a true passion for their work. Would reccomend 100%
Fantastic coffee.
Amazing stop on our ride into Toronto from Oakville today! Great treats to refuel for the ride home!! Thanks - we will be back!!!
Great coffee shop with solid baked goods and friendly staff.
Personalized cycle care, excellent espresso and cold brew today
They have knowledgeable staff who helped me get to the next level.
3.5 stars... great place to just sit and enjoy a drink while sitting comfortably. Lots of people working on laptops here too. It's tucked away from W Queen W and its not the easiest to get to in the car (the maze of one way streets is fun... not really). But for all those in the neighbourhood I can see why you'd love it here. Bright, sunny, and open to the nice breeze, this cafe was completely open to the nice neighbourhood and has a soothing zen to it. One thing I have to point out is the professionalism of the owners (or at least the store manager). In a short span of 1 hour, two elderly gentlemen tried to enter the area and cause a bit of a disturbance. Rather than let that happen and disrupt everyone... they quickly focused in and moved the individuals outside of the cafe to speak to them. They could have yelled at them to get out but nope... they showed restraint and empathy by listening to their plea. Sincere appreciation for that. I love the clean and modern space... they did a nice job showcasing all the bikes while still giving lots of room to the cafe. The barista seemed a bit new to the espresso world when we ordered a dirty chai latte. But he did make it after understanding its a chai latte with a shot of espresso. He never heard of it before. Flat white with almond milk - They use a very dark roast or the beans have a very strong bitter note to them. I had to add sugar and I normally don't. Though I like the balance of this flat white better than my morning one at another place, it was still a bit much for me. 3.5/5 Iced dirty chai latte - Seeing how this is the first one he ever made, this was a good first attempt. Though the tea was still weaker than it should be, the espresso was tempered by the addition of more milk and tea. I do like how they used Sloane tea to make this... perhaps just need more tea leaves to give it that flavour. 3.5/5 Loved this space and think they have a lot of opportunity to improve on the drinks to hit a 4 star. A very nice neighbourhood spot!
Best.
helpful bike repairs with no attitude. tasty baked goods made in store. fantastic coffee from skilled baristas full of an infectious passion for coffee. Nice little library selection to read through while you pass the time. I love this place!
Seriously good coffee, yummy treats, and a knowledgeable bike shop. Will definitely be going back!
Great coffee and wonderful bike service! Will definitely be coming by often!
Always great coffee and snacks, and super knowledgeable baristas
Quite possibly the best drip coffee in the city. I've tried just about every coffee shop around queen west and Fix definitely has a superior product. Wasn't as thrilled with their cappuccino but still good. Will be making this my new go-to spot.
hidden, quiet. But unfriendly staff. average coffee.
The service was quick and efficient they even inspected the whole trike and found other things that needed replacing too! Most bike shops would shy away at the sight of even fixing an adult tricycle maybe due to the size of it. Thank you everyone at this bike shop.
Very informative and gives fair prices for bike fixing. For the coffee shop, I always buy my espresso beans from them. They have a rotating selection, and I like the variety.
They were very helpful and knowledgeable. We will be going there again.
Great staff. Great coffee.
Such a great experience with these guys! They really seem to care about their customers and they also give quick and efficient service. They really made my day when I went there and will definitely be back for my future bike services.
Great baked goods!!!
Great coffee.
Fast and great service. Had a flat tire, and Ryan was able to help me with it, he also replaced my front brakes, as well as do a check to make sure i put my bike together safely. Will come back again.
Have had two bikes tuned up here. Both done exceptionally well. Coffee is always good. The staff is great. Can't wait for my next fix.
Got a flat tire while biking in the area, the staff was super helpful. Stayed open past closed and saved us from getting stranded. Thank you.
Great latte!
Great concept and service. Fixed my bike right away even before I finished my delicious coffee and cookie. Will definitely return.
Bike service was amazing. Quick, cheap and did some additional stuff free of charge. Coffee is great too, some people are saying best cortado in Toronto...And I couldn't agree more!
Best lattes in the city!! Great service too...
Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great coffee to boot
Loved visiting this place for my bike services. The rates are reasonable. Ryan was friendly and genuine. He gave sincere advice and didn’t try to up-sell their stuff. Helped me get comfortable on my new bike before I left. Plus they have the most awesome bike helmets - Thousand. To top it off they have an awesome coffee shop as a part of the bike store. Thanks Ryan and team! Keep up the good work. You guys are awesome!! :)
Just picked up a Brodie Dynamo from this shop. I dealt with Ryan the shop manager today who is very friendly, honest and knowledgeable. He was a pleasure to deal with and I will definitely be back for anything bike related.
I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to Fix Coffee and Bikes! I just had a very positive experience getting my bike fixed. In particular, thank you to Matthew for carefully looking over my bike and taking the time to answer my questions. I'm so happy with a job well done, I'll definitely be back!
Great spot to chill. Will return soon
Friendly & helpful!
Popped by this afternoon, and Ryan was a true gentlemen. He instantly tuned up everything I wanted to have done with my bike as we chatted. He was kind enough to help me out with pumping my bike tires. First impressions, bike + coffee, such a cool concept. I'm looking forward to try their coffee soon, and they earned a new neighbourhood customer/friend just by being nice, and knowledgeable - a true Canadian business.
Friendly stuff, delicious coffee and bakery goods, what else do you need as a cyclist?
Bike service = highly recommended. Three noteworthy things about my dealings with the bike service guys here. First, they were extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Second, they didn’t charge me to put the tire on my rim (because despite my all efforts, I just couldn’t do it). And third, despite my proposing the idea of just buying a new tire altogether, they said I’d still get the rest of this season out of my current tire, and that I could come talk to them about a new tire come winter. In other words, they had the opportunity to sell me a tire—I was clearly ready to buy one—and yet insisted this wasn’t necessary. I appreciate the honesty. These guys are in it for the right reasons.
Very friendly staff! The smell of coffee beckons you to go inside. Pretty much the only spot in Toronto that sells Thousand helmets.
Brakes weren't adjusted properly and gears still skipped even after a tuneup. Nice guys but missed some stuff.
Get the labour quote up front. The staff are super friendly, I brought a bike in and was told that all the bike needed was a chain replacement— “wouldn’t cost much, just 13-16 plus labour” and that I’d be called if it looked like the bike needed more work. Had the work done, arrived (without being called) to find out the bike needed another 100 in work and the cost for the chain replacement was 65. Friendly staff, but make sure you get a solid quote before letting them work on it. Edit: I received a call from the owner of Fix Coffee + Bikes. Again, very friendly people that work here, and I appreciate that he cares about his business. Unfortunately during the conversation I found out that the folks working on the bike charged me for two chains rather than one--something that either should have been identified at the quoting stage, or should have been communicated with a phone call prior to doing the work. He admitted that a chain replacement should have cost around 30 dollars (what I was expecting given my conversation at the time of drop off). I had no idea I was charged for the additional chain as it wasn't even communicated when picking up the bike... The gentleman on the phone offered a 25 dollar gift card, which was quite generous, but I don't see myself returning. Again, get a solid quote and check the work that was done.
Disarmingly friendly service and very fine quality parts for such a small shop. Ryan is passionate in his knowledge of bicycles and generous in his willingness to share that.
If you are not there to work with a laptop, you don't fit in.
Honestly this shop is hands down one of the best in the city for service, bike maintenance knowledge and just overall friendly customer service. They go above and beyond with everything they do, recently providing my bike with brand new …
Always helpful. A great smiling/friendly service!
This place is a hidden (maybe not so much) gem in a really cool part of Queen West. It is an old grocery store converted into a bike shop & coffee shop. I am a delivery agent and have been making deliveries and pick ups for a few months to them. I have come to know Fred & Ryan quite well. It finally occurred to me to bring in the family beater bikes and my road bike in for long overdue tuneups. First off the whole staff are so friendly & capable. Great communicators. Second it is easy to get to. The coffee and bakery items are excellent. Lastly and certainly not least the bikes came back as good as new for a very reasonable price. Rob
Helpful staff. Good coffee. Will be back.
I've been here twice for fixes. An awesome, friendly, clean, organized, quick, helpful, reasonably-priced, non-pretentious bike shop. Plus you can get drinks and snacks at the coffee bar while you wait :-)
This is my new favourite local bike shop. I purchased a few parts from them this summer for *very* reasonable prices, and, just now, they same-day fixed a cluster&^%* that involved my rear brake getting caught up in the spokes of the wheel …
Great curated bike selection, great coffee, great service. Come here! Often!
Great service and deliciously wonderful coffee. Next time try some food!
