Lovely sitting area, very comfortable and inviting. Located in a residential neighborhoods. Wish this is something in our neighborhood. Must visit if you in the west end of Toronto.

The food here is amazing. Bread is so delicious! The breakfast sandwiches are a gift to us all, the sauce they use is perfection and I could eat both the tomato basil and bacon one for every meal.... went during Covid and didn’t see the bread was a little worried but they got food and holy it is great! Drinks are good too and the barista is great at problem solving to get you the drink you want!

Love the downtown location and have been going there regularly for years so I had to come out on opening day to see the new spot Justin opened. Same beautiful cozy feel but much bigger. Same great selection of pastries and now bread and bagels too. Same perfect pulls of espresso, Americano’s and latte’s. You need to bookmark this spot so you don’t forget where it is. Free parking too!!! Win win win. Congratulations Justin, you creates another great shop.

They even have bread brought in to be sold from a local bakery ???? ✔ Prices are very reasonable for what you pay for ✔ Some of the kindest people ever work here! ✔ THE FOOD IS TO DIE FOR Now, what should you get? (Kind of a tough one when it comes to sandwiches because they change depending on availability) -[HAM & GRUYERE LUNCH SANDWICH] $10ish This sandwich is made with smoked ham, tomato ????, gruyere ????, arugula, garlic butter ????, truffle/horseradish mayo, fresh pepper, and it's all piled between their BREAD OF THE DAY ~ My goodness, they make sure to put your sandwich in their oven before serving it to you and honestly, it's so worth the wait between when you order it, and when they hand you a hefty but warm sandwich ???? -[ICED COFFEE] Their coffee is always delicious! I typically like to get their iced coffee when it's a hot summer day ???? -[HAZELNUT OAT MILK LATTE] I typically actually like my coffee with more milk..... So I've been told I actually should order lattes rather than coffee with milk haha ???? This is a very tasty concoction that I created on my last visit and I would definitely order it again! Drop on by and definitely make sure you go Monday to Saturday as those are the days in which they get fresh bread delivered! Fresh bread means LUNCH SANDWICHES and you really truly won't want to miss out on those ????????

Good latte, made from coffee beans and I saw how they were preparing it with fresh milk. I'm not sure, but it looked as they were roasting coffee beans in the morning by themselves. I definitely will return to try their other inventory.

Truly a hidden gem! Found this place just passing by and wow! The overall atmosphere is super warm and cozy, you feel right at home. The staffs are absolutely amazing. Great selection of all types of coffees and teas, and some nice little breakfast pastries. Ordered a hazelnut latte and it had the perfect amount of sweetness and hazelnut flavour! Can't wait to go back and try other drinks. Highly recommended!

What a hidden gem! Decided to check this place out after finding out about it (several months after its opening!!!). The interior is cozy and welcoming (would be nice to try out post-COVID, especially for studying or catching up with a friend). The barista was very friendly and helpful, and the drinks were delicious (I had an oat milk microground chai) likely made with high quality ingredients and equipment. I can’t wait to be back and try out some of their food, fresh breads, and hang out in their new patio!

Black Cat Espresso is one of the finest coffee bars in the city, bar none. Their coffee is top notch, and those sandwiches are off the charts -- Justin's breakfast sandwiches are becoming so well known, they're in syndication, for heaven's sakes; he supplies two other fine coffee shops, at least! A fantastic coffee shop in either location, other fine items, like treats, wine, craft beer and other pantry items, are always on the shelves. Spectacular stuff and great service, always.

Aside from that, we tried the ham and gruyere cheese breakfast sandwich and was pleasantly surprised by the truffle oil taste that made it soooo much better. If you live in Weston, traveling to the UP express , or looking for a place to relax, this location is a must. The owner, Justin, is a great guy who genuinely takes take to engage with his customers, and puts a lot of effort into maintaining those relationships. Little things like giving out bread to regular customers and young families at the end of the day, really go a long way in the community. This is something I can really appreciate. The coffee is priced competitively based on surrounding shops but the quality is outstanding as you can see in the photo. The food is is all hand made and with great quality ingredients. This location has parking, though only a few select spots in front. I am certainly looking forward to when their patio opens up. Overall, I would suggest this area to support local business, among other options or franchises and look forward to going back. Enjoy ☕

Mannn, this one of the best breakfast experience I have. The mouthwatering delicious burger that in your every bite the taste melts in your mouth like your in heaven. The food is worth the price! If I can give 10 stars, I would have give it. Its my day off today and looking for a good coffee shop and expresso bar like this is a very rare experience. I will definitely come back here and bring my family and friends. Rating: Food 10/10 Price 10/ 10 Place 10/10 What I like of the place, its located in an area where when you are driving you can see all the trees coloured in yellow like its a perfect autumn experience. Brilliant specialty coffee shop, had two cortados here, was pleased that they had oat milk. Their equipment is high-end, atmosphere is cool with a cactus garden along the windows. The breakfast sandwich was delicious and very fairly priced!

Great oat milk lattes and pastries! I usually either get their almond croissant or carrot cake. I like their little outdoor patio space as well, but randomly on some days there may be a lot of wasps. Just as pretty much every other review says, truly a hidden gem. The espresso is amazing and coffee is so fresh. They have an assortment of yummy pastries that are fresh and super tasty. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing, I’ve been told. The service is even better! The cafe is super cute and I’m excited for it to be open post-pandemic so I can chill here. Definitely going to be a new staple for me.

First time customer, had morning coffee and sweet breads. They did a great job, and the service was friendly. In these covid-times I observed them taking care to ensure the safety of their staff and their customers. There is also a large patio which is consciously setup for social distancing.

I reached out via social media to inquire why the cafe was closed for 4 days straight. The owner must be experiencing some difficulties. I've never been treated with such disrespect. I'm sorry you decided to close your coffee shop Monday to Friday. Happy to hear you decided that you will open on Saturday. It is not my business which will lose 1 week of profits. It is not my business which will lose clients and it is not me who is having a bad week and decided to lash out at someone who was just curious as to why nothing was said about the closure on Instagram. I guess they thought the neighborhood would be aware they would close for a week with the coloured chalk writing on the door. Whoever owns this brand should take notice of how is is being managed. I'll just go to another coffee shop and never look back. Potentially unstable employees becoming aggressive towards clients on Instagram isn't a good look. Have a cup of coffee and take a nap if that's required.
