Never a disappointment! Cozy cafe right next to UW makes for a perfect study escape. They have the best assortment of vegan options that are so tasty and delicious! Because I spend a lot of time here as a student, I placed a catering order for an event from here for vegan brownies and cookies. Kyle was a joy to work with, promptly communicating with me and very accommodating. They exceeded my expectations. Everything was ready early and completely fresh and decadent to say the least! Highly recommend.

They are known for being very vegan, but they still have so much good food and they do serve meat. Their sandwiches are awesome and they make everything to order. Pastries are mostly vegan and delicious. It's a nice feel good place especially for students. A little pricey is my only complaint.

Really great small venue for music. The exterior looks are decieving, but the beer list is on point with local beer and a great selection of blood Brothers. Nice staff and clean goes a long way too, especially for a brunch crowd. The brunch is diner food, but good portions and flavours.

A Windsor gem! A very hip place to go, with a relaxed atmosphere. The drinks and paninis are really tasty. It's a very comfortable place to hang out and it's usually fairly lively. Students and professors all love this place.

While I generally love coming to Green Bean especially on the weekend, today I had a bad experience. There were about 30 students studying and an event occurring for Christmas. The music was loud and irritating for students studying. The students beside my table and myself were all irritated. When my friend went to go ask if the noise could be lowered the manager? owner? came up to our table to let us know that it wasn't a library and that the event took precedence. While that is fair statement the way he spoke down to two law students who were very aware it wasn't a library was rude. As someone who has worked in the cafe industry before the way you speak to customers is important, especially students who make up the bulk of your base. Not happy.

Vegan friendly AND it's tasty. The latter word not usually found in the same sentence as the former. Brewed coffee is good but try for an Americano. You might just find a new favorite drink. Their espresso makers are top notch. Never a bad experience.

It's a great spot for working/studying and meeting friends. Coffee is great and they have a bottomless cup option, which is fantastic if you plan on working there for a while. They also have wifi and plug outlets which really helps. Food is a bit pricey, but they have a lot of great vegan and local options which is cool. Their hours are sometimes inconsistent, which can be frustrating, but I believe that this is mostly in the summer (which makes sense given that they really cater to student populations)

Fantastic experience! There's a very cozy atmosphere, with seating distanced for covid. They have string lights and real plants, and a bunch of their menu options can be adjusted to be vegan friendly. They have a gender neutral bathroom available, good prices, and the food/drinks my sister and I tried were delicious. She tried the pizza grilled cheese, a carrot cupcake and some cherry hibiscus kombucha, and I had a chocolate chip cookie, rice and bean burrito and a coffee - which the barista made exactly to my liking :D We are moving here shortly and only struggled with parking; there is street parking, which is something I'd not yet encountered. Otherwise, it's very close to campus, and I look forward to visiting here throughout my time in Windsor ♡

This is the best cafe in Windsor. I was located only 2 min from the cafe and went there daily. Staff are the best very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is second to none. This café is great to have a coffee and conversation, but is often filled with students with their laptops on the group tables. The coffee is available in a refillable fashion (ask for bottomless) and the food items are good. The bakery style items are a little expensive and has some gluten free choices.

If you're looking for somewhere to sit and study or meet with friends, this is a great place. It's nice and cozy, and they have a great selection of food and teas/coffees/lattes. They also do vegan food which is really yummy. My only complaint is that I find everything a bit overpriced...if I'm on my break between classes I don't want to pay $20 for a latte and lunch. However, if you're looking to treat yourself or go on a study date, this is a great place for it!

Great place to go for a meeting, or study with a bit of background noise. Definitely enjoy this gem of a university hangout spot! (There’s not exactly an abundance of places like this near the university) Enjoy the fact that there is a bar now, the live music nights are definitely also something worth going to. Try a London fog, my typical is one with half sweetener. Only place I’ve ever gotten one so good. The staff are always nice, and the food is also very good. Sometimes it’s just a great place to hang out and program to get out of the office for a change.

I've been frequenting the Green Bean since I moved to Windsor last month (May 6, 2013). It's my favourite place to sit down, grab a French toast latte, and go through scientific literature. don’t ever think i’m going to come back again. for the price the food was basic, boring and bland, the staff is the most rude staff i’ve ever experienced in my life. the waitress was so rude to me when i ask her for the italian soda that was never made. 2 where order and one was given out, however when i asked for mine she was very upset to have to make it again. as well the calling system should be a bit better for us who are hard of hearing.

I haven't been here in about 5 years, but I was able to check it out earlier today with a friend and I still love this place! The interior is completely different then before (for the better), it has more of a chill yet upbeat environment and now serves alcohol and burgers (unlike last time I was here). It's still a great place to catch up over a coffee, tea, or beer, yet it's also a great place to set up your computer and work on school work or study if you need to be alone. Only a few minutes walk from the University of Windsor, on a bus route, and lots of parking on the street around it, the Green Bean is very accesible for many transit demographics. Still one of my favourite places in the University district even though I am no longer a student anymore!

Cute cafe, that also serves alcoholic drinks and food. They make an effort to have environmentally friendly options throughout the café. They have a bunch of space so you should be able to find a table. Don't forget to bring a non-perishable food item for their student food bank pantry!

The customer service here is horrible. The cafe is filled with students, and there was a general consensus among all of the tables that the music was really abrasive. It was really loud rock music. I simply requested to the barista that if possible, the cafe lower it. Obviously I know this is not my establishment, and it is a general request. The barista kindly said he’d see what he could do. That should have been the end of it, but his manager came to our table and was pretty aggressive. He seemed offended - butt-hurt, for lack of a better description. He spoke down to us, telling us this wasn’t a library and that they were not obliged to be quiet just because we are students. Clearly we know it’s not a library, it was simply a request. This isn’t how you speak to people who are giving you business.

Green Bean Cafe is a friendly, homey place where you can have a quick bite, a coffee, glass or wine, or a beer. Its deceptively big on the inside, but has a warmth that many places lack. It's now one of my favorite places to go for coffee and wifi.
