Do you have your own burr grinder? Use a French press, or maybe use the pour over method for making coffee? You need to find a roaster to get fresh tasty beans that will spoil you to the point where you will not want to buy supermarket coffee anymore. Colonial Coffee is such a place. I like to buy small amounts of different beans to try out everything. The quality and freshness of their beans is great. Finally, no matter what way you make coffee (at work I have a beat up old Tim Horton's Drip brew coffee maker) having good beans is very important. The staff are helpful and Knowledgeable about there products and services. Plus they sell many gadgets and coffee related items too.

Great local family owed place to get much more than just coffee. FTO coffee is fairly priced and many selections. Lots of different coffee's and blends and tons of tea. Been going here for over 13 years. Give them a try, guaranteed you'll find a coffee you like. Try them all I did.

While more expensive than a grocery store, the coffee is of superior quality. They supply many commercial places in town. My favorite is the Mocha Java variety. For best experience buy roasted beans and grind to need (you can get burr grinders from Canadian tire).

Many brews of coffee beans are roasted here at Colonial Coffee. You can buy your coffee beans and grind them at home or they will grind your beans while you wait if you like. Great gift baskets can be made for you as well, naturally, coffee oriented.

Staff was extremely helpful, and knowledgeable about their products. They willingly did 2 separate grinds for me, one for my french press and one for my Keurig. I got 3 flavoured coffees, and caramel syrups for specialty coffees. Highly recommend and I'll be going again.

Recently purchased 3 lbs of excellent coffee,,,service was good but the lady servicing us was one if the most miserable and sour persons we have ever met...not a smile or extra word from her tight and pursed up lips,! When I told the cashier that we felt rushed, we told that they were roasting? Anyways we will hope for our usual clerk next time, hopefully avoiding Miss personality! Or maybe we will take our business elsewhere.

Good grinds, local company. I bought a pound of fine grind for my drip coffee maker. It was good tasting coffee. The staff were respectful and the info on their web site helped me to improve my coffee at home. And they threw in a free candy!

Nice selection of fresh coffee beans of all types. I happened across a great bottle of spices as they do sell assorted items. It is Tbq cold slaw spice. TBQ was a restaurant in a Windsor for maybe 70 years. It had the best ribs and Cole slaw to go with them. Restaurant closed 5 years ago. This spice has recipe for the cole slaw on the bottle. Very easy and exactly the same. Love it.

I was buying fancy schmancy coffee online and decided to search and see if there was something more local and I discovered Colonial Coffee roasters. It's been there for over 50 years, and I didn't know. I visited 2 days in a row and was greated by super friendly staff both times. GOOD coffee. So far, impressed with the El Salvidor, Kona, and French roast, can't wait to try more. I bought more expensive coffee online and Colonial blew all of them out of the water. Try Colonial, grind your own beans, use a good coffee machine. You will be so spoiled, it's so worth it! You will never think of drinking grocery store coffee, or Tim Hortens again!
