A hearty breakfast before escaping wakening Whitehorse to enjoy the real Yukon. Old school restaurant serving all the essential nutrients (flapjacks, sausages and bacon) in decent portions. Coffee a bit watery though, probably good enough for cruise ship tourists but not those facing a long day driving.

In town for the day, hotel recommend it for a casual - local place. Had the ribs and sweet potato fries. Good choice, would recommend. A sports bar restaurant establishment, location is in the Best Western.

Ordered 2 drinks, 1 beer & 1 spirt, server comes back with 2 beers then proceeds to tell me that I'm making it hard for him after he stuffed the order then proceeds to talk to his friends while we wait 10 minutes for the correct order. Ask for the cheque then dumps the eftpos machine on the table & continues to keep taliking with his friends & expects a tip haha this place is a joke! Go to lizards lounge which is right next door where you will have a way better experience!

It's a Best Western, so the rooms are kept very clean, and the furnishings are new. The restaurant is called only open for breakfast and lunch, in the evening it's used as the lounge. I found the coffee to be quite weak, luckily there is a coffee maker in the room, and both Starbucks and Tim Hortons are within walking distance.

After hearing such wonderful reviews of the pulled pork I had to go try it for myself. The food was perfect, just how the pork should taste, the service from the waitresses was excellent and I felt like I was given attentive service. However, as I was located near the bar I could hear who I only can assume was a manager being not only aggressive but straight rude to one of the girls. Having experience in the serving industry I felt for the poor servers having to deal with such unprofessional and aggressive management. No employee deserves to be yelled at in a public area in front of the paying customers. Would love to return but sadly I don't want to witness more verbal abuse against the staff. Those girls have my best wishes sent to them having to deal with that on a daily basis.

Located in the Best Western hotel, the restaurant is always busy and for good reason. The food is great and the service is always welcoming and on point. The steak and eggs breakfast option is totally worth it. I’ll be coming back here for sure!

This is one of the rare places that open for lunch as the rather famous places for bison burger or food is only open for dinner till late. This place is located at the first level of the Best Western Inn and there are 2 ways to enter it, via the main entrance of Best Western Inn and then the side door which is the main entrance of Gold Pan Saloon or you can go by the back door which gets you to the restrooms (which was how I entered but it doesn't matter as they still checked your vaccination status and ID). Do note that this place has a lot of regulars (given that Whitehorse downtown is a very small downtown and everyone kind of knows each other). Don't be upset if they don't service you immediately. I found that the regulars there know the menu better than the servers. My server actually didn't know the price of the special of the day and how much the beers cost so she had to return to the bar to ask and get a menu to show us the price instead. All in all service is not strong here for new customers, but regulars know the service staff by name. The bison burger is pretty nice (first time for me), gamey, lean, tasty, well marinated and burger well made. The fries were pretty good as well. As for the special of the day, it was butter chicken (ended up being an Indian style of butter chicken which was fine). Beer was really cold and nice in a retro looking plastic cup (probably because many customers broke them after too many a glass). Given they are one of the few lunch joints, I'm pretty happy with what I got, and service was never my emphasis anyway so this place is worth my time and stomach.

We tried a few beers, and tried a variety of food and starters from breakfast to dinner. The only dish we didn't care for was the Gold Nuggets from the dessert menu. Was hoping for more of a donut hole, and instead was more like fried pizza crust dipped in brown sugar/cinnamon. But everything else was great! Would gladly return of in the area! ???? The Gold Pan Saloon is located inside Best Western Gold Rush Inn where I stayed. My review is based on the service and food. The waitress mingled with all the locals and chatted with others but never even asked me how were my ribs. A customer who came in after me sat down ordered and got his food first. I watched him eat and finish his ribs. When I asked how my order was coming along. The waitress then said it will be out in one minute. The half rack of ribs was extremely salty. I was really disappointed. The fries were hard and over-cooked. My beer was fine; however, I can’t recommend this place for their food. After, I paid she never said thanks, all she said was, “we don’t take Apple Pay!”. There are so many other wonderful restaurants in Whitehorse to checkout. I don’t recommend this restaurant.

They call this place a pub, however the food you get makes you feel like you're in a 5 star restaurant. The drinks were cold, the food was hot, and the staff were so attentive, you thought you had at least two per table the entire time we were there. We were seated and given water and then sat for 20 minutes just…waiting…while multiple waitresses circled the room and cleared tables around us. At one point my partner said “excuse me” to one passing by the table and she turned her head in the opposite direction. When we decided to leave I turned and saw two of the waitresses behind the bar looking at us and laughing. It was an absolutely bizarre experience to say the least. Looking at other reviews we aren’t the only ones - as far as hospitality goes, this one is a puzzler for sure ????????

Lively, friendly atmosphere, plenty of locals but never felt unwelcome as a tourist, staff were attentive and friendly, food was great, especially considering the very reasonable prices and the beer was top quality. Some of the reviews here seem to expect a five star restaurant with silver service, it's a very good pub but it is exactly that. If that's not your thing you should find somewhere else, but we liked it enough make three visits on a short trip.

What a waste of time, went in at 2:30 for a nice Sunday lunch. Was greeted and sat at back table. Waitress came over asked if we wanted menus. We said yes....... never saw her again she served a table beside us 4 times and served her friends at the bar. We never did get menus and she never came back. We left after sitting there for 15 minutes with no drinks and no menus. Maybe cause we were not there to drink as it’s football Sunday or not sitting at the bar. Definitely the worse in town. Should have just went to Boston pizza.

Staff shouted through the whole room that they didn‘t take orders at the Moment. There was a free table with dirty glasses on them. We had to come closer to ask when they would take orders again. We eventually ate somewhere else because the answer was: i don’t know, maybe 30 minutes. When we came back we saw through the front Window that the exact Same table had the Same dirty glasses on it. Would not come here because of the staff.

The place looked nice and lively but had the rudest bartender finally greet us after waiting at the bar for close to 10 minutes. One of her colleagues finally asked us if we would like to take a seat, which we couldn’t find any free, so we returned to the bar. The same lady then asked us what we would like to drink, then told us we need to be seated or leave in a rude manner (and we are very easy going!). Common courtesy telling us at the start that we needed to be seated to have a drink would have been helpful. People these days.... where’s the service?!
