I have been going here for brunch from the last 10 years. It turns out the restaurant was sold in August 2019 and is now under new management. The service is still good and the menu almost unchanged. Thank you for keeping up this great little restaurant.

I happened upon this quaint cafe in White Rock by chance; was looking for another place but I was really drawn to the Yucca Tree Cafe. You could smell the home cooking from outside and when you looked in, it was pretty full with patrons. "Regulars", I'd imagine... I've been to so many places that I can usually pick them out. So I quickly looked up their menu on my smartphone and was super pleased at what I read. I decided to give their breakfast a shot. And I am so glad I did! Oh my gosh, their Breakfast Croissant (Vegetarian) was so fresh and mouth-watering, I do believe I am now addicted! I thought I'd be taking a doggie bag home with the freshest of croissants piled high with scrambled eggs, loads of shredded cheddar cheese, and tomatoes, not to mention their homemade pan fries seasoned in a way that I hadn't tasted before. But I couldn't stop eating this delish breakfast - it made my tummy very happy. I also took a side order of pan fries with shredded cheese and green onions to go, so that I could have that later. You have to give the Yucca Tree Cafe a try! I would find it hard to believe if you were disappointed. Great customer service, too. For the vegetarians out there (like me), many choices are on their menu. They will also customize any order for your taste or dietary restrictions (for myself, I asked for egg whites only which was no issue at all). As for CONS, there is nothing negative I would say for my first visit, except that their salt shakers needed a good "banging" due to the salt crystals binding together after our latest heatwave. I've attached a photo of my Breakfast Croissant. Sorry! I had to take a couple of bites before snapping the photo. Priorities, y'know. ????

Attended here about a month ago for breakfast. The place was busy but we were seated quickly. We ordered the vegetarian burger and the vegetarian chili which were both specified as vegan on the menu. We mentioned to the waitress that we were both vegan and asked for no cheese on the burger. We had to wait approximately 30 minutes for orange juice and water to be served and another 30 minutes for our food. When our food arrived there was mayonnaise on the bun for the burger and there was butter on the toast for the chili. When we requested these items be exchanged the waitress proceeded to scold us as we did not request for these items to be removed from our original order even though the butter and mayonnaise were not mentioned on the menu. Our issue here is that they said they were vegan friendly however it appears as though they do not know what this means. The food tasted okay, we both liked the burger more than the chili. During our meal their debit and credit card machines went down which they didn't inform us about until we had to leave and then we had to send one of our party rushing out to find an ATM so that we could get going. It would have been nice to be informed about something like this as soon as out happened so that we could plan accordingly.

We had the banana french toast for breakfast. It was absolutely delicious! The home fries and perfectly crisp bacon were great too. We will definitely come back for a treat!

Cozy nook on the eclectic uptown hill toward the beach. I was born and raised in the White Rock area and in high school the Yucca Tree owners hired me as a part time dishwasher. Although I was hired for dish washing, on occasion, I was shown techniques of the cafe barrister, sandwich varieties and learned the cooks daily restaurant management responsibilities. I now am working in leisure tourism and for travelers and locals alike this streetside cafe on a sunny morning or quick local luch to-go Yucca Tree owners have served it up. I love the nostalgia as I come back to BC from Alberta after 15 years and the service and produce are bright and homely spirited.

This is my favourite breakfast/brunch restaurant on the planet. Been a loyal customer since we moved to White Rock. Small place but it's so worth it. They always know what I want which is the Mexican Breakfast SSOOOOO BOMB!!! They're kid friendly and always has the best service. The price point is very good and the potatoes are amazing. If you love coffee, I get two to three cups here. Very yummy! I highly recommend this place!

Came here based on the majority of positive reviews. Maybe I was unlucky, as my rancher's salad was drowning in dressing that I couldn't see what I was eating. Was told I should have ordered the dressing on the side. But it was tasty once I spooned the majority of the dressing into a coffee mug.

Its a bit small, not a lot of wiggle room between tables but the food was amazing! The Eggs Yucca-dict is the most delicious egg breakfast I've ever had. And the service was great, our server was super friendly and helpful. The place is great for a breakfast date, the atmosphere was light and casual. With flyers and business cards for local events right along side beautiful art pieces for sale on the walls. I have plans to go again!

Yucca tree is a wonderful local business to support. They know how properly execute and cook good quality food. Their waffles are perfectly fluffy, the bacon is amazing. I used to love the breakfast here but the last time I went the experience was not good. The eggs were cold and the pan fries were pretty much soggy. All that was eaten was the toast. The waitress asked if I wanted it re made but I'm easy too picky of an eater to be ok with that lol....I was surprised when it came time to pay the bill there was no discount offered. I said nothing and paid the bill obviously. I'm not sure if ill go back cause I don't want that served to me again

First time here. Met up with some friends for brunch. A small yet cozy place. Friendly service. Took a while for our order to come up but it was busy and we were not in a rush. After we ate, we sat there and talked for sometime and the staff did not make us feel that we had to get it and go. They just left us to our natter. Will be going again for sure. Try some of the Mexican dishes.

We have eaten here a number of times and everything is great. I don't think we have had a bad meal here or seen anybody send anything back. Go to fav, oatmeal with fruit and the Croissant special. Fried potatoes are good, but get them with the shredded cheese and green onions, yummm. Coffee is good, but the fresh squeezed orange juice is fantastic, even if it is a little expensive.

A local favourite destination. Menu items are home made and not factory preformed. The club sandwich is exceptional. Love their pan fries. Soups and hamburgers made from scratch with locally supplied products. Go early, lunch times are full. Owners are exceptionally nice people. A MUST destination when it White Rock.
